Dear All,

It’s been a long time since we had been in touch on Bitcointalk. How do you do?

We’re doing great. Check out our trading volumes on Coinmarketcap.

Speaking briefly, we strive to provide our traders with more markets and more powerful tools for comfortable and flexible trading. Powerful API, convenient reports system and other handy stuff is here to assist you in trading on your favourite markets. Here’s the list of them.
Also take a look at the Market spread and Market depth sections. These are tailored to become your smart guides in the volatile crypto world.

It’s time to say we are back to Bitcointalk! We have a lot to tell you about us, and you probably would have some questions to ask, ideas to spread, opinions to share. We’re here for you.

Here are some of our most recent news: we have listed Maidsafe (MAID) and Synereo (AMP) coins. Also it’s now possible to credit your USD account and withdraw funds with no need to verify your account - by using USDT coins! 1 USDT is always equal to 1 USD.
More news.

Dear All,

Have you ever dreamed to create something that will influence the world? Or maybe you’ve already did?
HitBTC is here to help your inventions meet the world.

So, what have we done? We have implemented a new amazingly simple way to list your coins on our trading platform.

Here’s the agenda. You create an Ethereum token, compatible to ERC-20 standard, and introduce it to us. Within several days a new trading instrument is going to appear on HitBTC, and this is your own currency we are talking about.

Here’s the algorithm. Just fill out this form.

Sounds exciting? Be first to try it, since we are first to provide you this kind of opportunity!

The admin account of this exchange is marked with red trust already that this exchange is not paying. If you have new transaction pending with them then it is your fault to use their service and if it is the older one for which they got the red trust then I think they do not want to pay you as they from two years do not care for to remove their red trust.

Stay away from the sites like that which is marked as non trusted.

So, as right now, HitBTC is unreliable, right?
Just checking, as I would love to sell some SNT right now, and that's the only exchange with it for now.

I have had my account on this site for a couple of years now, but stopped logging into my account about a year ago.

I use LastPass to manage my passwords for the websites I frequent, and I have it configured to only fill passwords locally on my machine, which means that the password manager doesn't sync online.

A few weeks ago, on June 1, I received a notification email from HitBTC.com that a user from an unrecognized IP address has logged into my account:

Users, BEWARE! If you are on HitBTC.com, make sure to change your current passwords on any other sites you may be a member of if you use the same password.

I'm just curious as to why there was no official statement or email from the HitBTC.com team regarding this security compromise... Huh

HitBTC here. We are extremely sorry to hear that you have encountered this unpleasant experience. Observing your account on a trading platform being intruded is the worst. But it's easy to protect from this.

Allow us to explain this a little bit. In case you don't have 2-step verification enabled on your account, the potential intruders require only your password to start using your account. And they are trying really hard to steal people's passwords, using a whole bunch of methods. Luckily, standard security measures are here to help, and they will do the job perfectly. To stay secure, you would need to make your password strong, change it on a regular basis, scan your computer for malicious software. And, of course, it's vital to enable 2-step verification. And that's it, total security is at your service.

We also provide you with a whole set of safety tools, including 2-step verification for withdrawals or entering the "Settings" section; e-mail verification for withdrawals; e-mail security notifications (which you've witnessed doing their job).

It's important to understand that it's not possible to steal someone's passwords and other personal data from us.
Nobody ever did and nobody ever will.

That's why they've got a bad feedback on that and maybe that could be a good basis to us on not to entrust our capital in this site. And better go to those site who's more reliable rather than putting our money at risk for this kind of site.

Hitbtc should make their service more good if they wnt to get positive response to the people who do trades everyday.

Hi there! As our support team reports, your issue had been resolved successfully on July 4th.
We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience you have experienced.

this exchange always makes coins non-withdrawable or so. i really hate it, almost close to be scam one.

Which coins are we talking about? If you mean ICO coins on the ICO tab, there's a simple explanation of their withdrawals unavailability. They just don't exist yet. You are purchasing IOU - obligations for future issued tokens. As soon as tokens are officially released, IOUs transform into them, and withdrawals are becoming available. Check out our article: hitbtc.com/ico-faq

Or do you mean something else?

I have heard about this exchange many but still not understand what is the security level for the trader. As, In Bittrex also there is no full security for the currency. If any hacking or any theft will the HitBtc be responsible. Could we get our coin back?

Hi there! We'll be happy to tell you more about it.

We provide our traders with a whole set of security tools. You can enable 2-step protection for logging in, withdrawing funds, changing your account settings. Separately or combined. You are receiving security notifications via email as soon as there's a new IP address in your session history. And it's impossible to withdraw money from your account without passing email verification first, for each and every withdrawal.
To sum it up: It's safe to trade on HitBTC.

But now let's imagine a trader, say, Josh. Josh uses the same password for his email and for his account on the exchange. He won't change it for ages. Also this password looks like josh1989 or so. He won't enable 2FA and won't pay attention to our proper red notification. Josh is in a risk group. We are not able to force him to use our security tools, if he doesn't want to.
To sum it up: A share of your effort is required for staying secure. But it's easy.

Blockchain transactions are not reversible. It's not possible to cancel the unauthorised transaction and return coins to sender.
That's why it's important to keep an eye on your account security.
