So I joined your pool and started mining. My only question at this point is, lets say I let this run over night, what's the next step? I've heard people talking about having Bitcoin Wallets. where is this currency stored and how do I access it/transfer it?

I've heard people talking about having Bitcoin Wallets. where is this currency stored and how do I access it/transfer it? You need to download the bitcoin client from http://bitcoin.orgStart it, let it download the entire blockchain (may take some CPU and network resources, you'll see block count rolling at the bottom of the window). It will automatically generate a new address every time, but you can use just one of those addresses any number of times. Copy it from the client to your account settings then wait for autopayment or press the "Instant Payment" button at payments page. The transaction may take some time and will not be shown in your client unless you have all blocks downloaded.

I do it all the time, when you go to add funds, tell it you're going to add 1 BTC, but then only send in your .91 to the address it gives, it works.

I signed up, my account page shows that my generators are working at 550mhash/s and I show shares adding up, but when I look at the stats page I never see my shares listed in the block history and I'm not accumulating any BTC. What's going on?

Hey,
I'm new to this bitcoin deal. I've got DiabloMiner running on Mac, and I'm connected into DeepBit, but my account still says Worker not connected.
Diablo shows I'm pulling 2200~ Khash though... so, not sure what's going down. Any ideas?

What's going on? Block history is delayed by one hour. Balance is updated once per hour.

A funny thing happened on the way to the mine....
So I started mining a few weeks back with a single 5870 vaporX. I was getting somewhere around 4 coins per day roughly. Since then as we all know difficulty has shot through the roof. Here's the funny part. I work selling computer parts and and ever since I started mining themid/high end Radeon cards are drying up in the market. Cards like 6850/70 6950/70's are beginning to be short in the market.
I just thought it was funny that the owner was commenting to me how these cards are short in the market and I said to him "You want to know why?".
Lol

im assuming this has been asked before but im lost on what to search for since the threads gotten so huge, but is there anyway to do a complete payout?
it only seems to pay out to the second decimal place, what if i wanted to quit or move on, do i end up just giving up these last few 0.00***** to the system?

Currently you can withdraw only down to bitcents, this was implemented to prevent losses caused by old bitcoin clients. I'll consider adding this as an option in the future. At this moment you can just mine some subcents more and take a full 0.01

At this moment you can just mine some subcents more and take a full 0.01 So at any given moment in time, there will be an average of 0.005 bitcoins (currently about $0.15), for every user of your pool, which the pool users cannot access in any meaningful way? Perhaps it would be better if you gave user the option to --zero out-- their balance completely, provided they have the minimum 0.01.

There are ways of avoiding unnecessary legislation involving the holding of other people's stuff. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. I speak more from a legal mindset, rather than the practical value of $0.15. Read securities laws, and you might better understand. Tycho can do whatever he wishes with my advice. I'm not so sure why you felt the need to chime in.

Tycho Hello! Maybe you can create a section on your website for people who cannot mine on your pool directly from miner program. For example Javascript based miner page. Because I cannot mine directly from miners on my computer. But I can mine through website, something like Bitcoinplus.
I think it will be just great!
