I am still unable to get to deepbit using the deepbit selection in gui.. 8:10 AM EST -5 GMT my block(s) are 98.70.*.* What do you mean ? Is the website working for you ? Or you can't access the site AND can't mine ? The web site is down I can access it here in Toronto as well. So what software are you using to fight of the attack? I don't see how any software will help if the bandwith pipe is simply overwhelmed. inspection would have to be done at a larger pipe (maybe service provider, backbone level for ex.) and then valid requests can be "allowed" to continue while the attack could be redirected... for ex. if the attack is 40 GB, you need to have counter measures in a spot that can handle more than 40GB traffic. if one was in an AT&T data center (level 1), you could buy DDoS protection service from them. it works as advertised, it withstood anon attacks on a few places. but it costs 3-4 K /month. the only way it wouldn't work is if the attack is actually sending "valid" work requests and is overwhelming the listener AND the traffic looks indistinguishable between a valid worker. This, unfortunately is easy to implement specifically for bitcoin....

Ouch, that's a lot of money. Doesn't Deepbit take 3% off the top for Proportional though, and even more for PPS. So even at 3%, that's 1.5 BTC per block. At an average of 30 minutes per block for a given 24hr period, that's 48 blocks solved by Deepbit, and 72 BTC goes to the pool every day. Even at $4/BTC that's $288 per day, or $8928 per month. But then again Deepbit pays for invalids, and there's probably some other incidentals that I'm overlooking. Damn, even at $4/BTC Tycho is still raking it in

Come on over. We'll make you feel at home while you wait. rfcpool.com Most of us dont want to run around our house and reconfigure every fucking miner. Those of us that dont do that usually have CGminer or something to AutoFallover. Wich i have not yet done. Whats the point of switching pools during a Mass DDoS? Seriously.

Agreed, I just learned my lesson, I'm done mining for a week or till the shit stops, tired of hopping to other pools to find out it is working then not. They're all are on and off.

OKAY this seems to be the Worst of all the DDoS's so far.
Currently, Asof me typing this, Deepbit site is very responsive (not slow) And my miners connect within 10seconds (usual is like 1.3secs)

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system. - GA

Let me help you I have my miners going to my test box with cgminer It took me 5 seconds. If you want deepbit as your primary pool just do this: cgminer.exe -o http://deepbit.net:8332 -u username -p password -o http://nmcbit.com:8332 -u username -p password
Once deep bit is online your good to go. It will take you longer to get upset at people and it will not earn you any coins. So come over and earn BTC and NMC at the same time, trade the NMC for BTC or save them as namecoins get removed from the system when people buy domain names. Cheers Davinci

I was refering to "OKAY this seems to be the Worst of all the DDoS's so far." Followed by you stating how well it was working for you... That came off very much as you basicly saying everyone else was delusional about the Ddosing since it was working just fine for you.. If that is not what you were implying then I apologize but you should recheck the way your post was laid out......

No GUI but I can create you one if you like so you don't have to mess with the batch files and shortcuts. It would take me all of 10 minutes to create window MSI file for you. Well, not right now I'm at work.

no :/ Best I can tell the attacker(s) keeps balancing his lil zombies back and forth between the pools. :/ Fucking crap man!, Shit keeps going on and off! Fucking dancing zombie botnet! Who the hell gets This mad at Bitcoins to attack the Entire network to the point of everyone swapping to solo, Do they not understand that they cant stop the bitcoin network? All they can do is stop Pooled mining. Wich wont work, Theres too many pools. Then again.. I cant get my miners to go solo....... Guiminer:An unexpected error has occured Like wtf? And how do i get multiple comps to goto the same solo addr, So that i have 2ghash solo rather than 500m+500m+500m+500m
