Use ubuntu 12.04, 14.6 beta drivers( install through gui), latest sgminer v5.
I use r9 280x's and works a treat. Don't bother with Ubuntu 14.04 - spent over a day trying to troubleshoot. xubuntu 12.04 I was up and running in under an hour.

Hmmm, thanks for the reply. It's my main machine so I dont want to downgrade to 12.04...
You've made me realize that I installed the wrong version of sgminer... I meant to grab 5.0, I thought I did until now...

Maybe I'll try sgminer 5.0 & see if that helps at all.

Thanks again

Ok guys I sent 299.47708860 DRK to Kristov Atlas' address:
http://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/address.dws?XqHt831rFj5tr4PVjqEcJmh6VKvHP62QiM.htm

I thought I calculated well but I guess I didn't, so his balance is now 999.98 DRK instead of 1000 DRK (could have been Mintpal sending fees or something). Anyone cares to send the remaining 0.2 DRK? Smiley

Thanks for the help everyone! We did it! Great community effort!

Once there is 1000 DRK in there someone should let Kristov know, so he can start a masternode.

SENDING.... sent....
Great! Thanks!

Someone tell Kristov to start a masternode now!

I think miners (who get transaction fees) masternodes who get 20% of that. So 20% of (block reward + transaction fees)

That's how I understand it. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

I don't think Kristov will be starting a masternode. He's got everyday expences to pay for.

Just a silly question about the proposed system to sent messages and ip obfuscation (3 masternodes encrypting / decrypting messages) :

What happens when a masternode goes down in that process?
Will the message get trough somehow, or can it never be decrypted again ? :p
I don't know if this was answered but there was always a slave to pick up where the last left off if that were to happen.  Now, I think we have all masternodes that are in line as back up, ie:  1st winning masternode, 2nd in line, 3rd in line, etc...

Hummm, I guess I'm wrong according to El Presidente.... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg8124925#msg8124925

I thought it was automatically picked up by the next masternode in line, but apparently not.  Listen to our president, he's one of the smartest people here, LOL.  My only talent is IF I understand, I can usually put it into layman's terms... but if I'm not understanding, I screw it up, LOL

Oh np Wink
Most important thing is that the client tries again with a different set of masternodes so it is redundant in that way.

If you have not watch this video i HIGHLY recommend it - I damn near cry every time I watch it

Andreas Antonopoulos is Bitcoin / cryptocoin's rock god.  If he ever starts to mention Darkcoin, we will know we made it to the top.  From the way he talks, he's not against and expects something better to come along, but he sticks to Bitcoin when he talks Cheesy  I want to see the day when he talks mostly of Darkcoin, LOL

One click Masternode updates!  Grin

(Well OK you have to type some shit into the boxes but I'll make it so those details can just be loaded from a textfile, except the password obviously. Less shit to type if you use ssh key files.)

I have also learned how to do multiple MN updates simultaneously but wrestling with GUI layout is horribly time consuming.

I'm also a crazy redhead lover, and there is one girl you should consider putting up.  The Britton's top model winner Jade Thompson (2012) who is of mixed race, dark red hair, adorable freckles (IMHO) and has the body nobody in the world could ever dream to have!  I'm not gay, but I just love beauty when I see it, and she's at the pinnacle of my idea of beauty Cheesy  Her hair really is a dark auburn red Wink

Here's a crazy idea. And something the other coins can't do. As a community contribute towards shares in Vertoes masternode shares scheme (or similar). And tell selected person/people (andreas for example) to download a darkcoin wallet. They receive the payment for a period and can play around with darkcoin and write a review saying what they think. At the end of a fixed period the share payouts go to another person? If no person is selected then they go towards a need something/general bounty fund?

It's a seriously underrated part of the coin. If we have/can gather a truly massive bounty fund we could put it all into masternodes and be able to pay out over a period someone who helps/a worthy cause/ or if there isn't anything then just grow the fund.. or you know salaries? etc.

I plan on sending more, but I'm afraid to withdraw from my masternodes, LOL.  I've been putting it off, but have no coins to send otherwise...  Yah, guess I'll have to find my courage to withdraw...

As Ozziecoin  said, you rock.  We all benefit from all the great generosity from you guys!  Thank you so dang much!
