Mumbai Indians made their first purchase of the day today, and it's a massive deal for Ishan Kishan! That was such a silly move on their part. Neither Quinton de Kock nor Trent Boult were chosen over Ishan Kishan. It doesn't make sense to me.

He's not inexperienced in the IPL. Already featured in 60 + games, he's wicket keeper + opener/1st down + Young Indian batter.

Bit expensive for sure but this year IPL has 10 teams that's means every franchise need at least 10ish Indian players in the squad hence the more demand for Indian players, that means less payment for foreign players.

Lahore Qalandars are doing too good under the captaincy of Shaheen Shah Afridi. Hafeez and Salt made there contribution later in the inning to take the total to 182. This breaks the winning streak of Multan Sultan. Bad luck for those who made bet on MS win because of there unbeaten record.

Yesterday's win have big impact on PSL league table because now Multan Sultans already at top with Lahore Qalanders at second spot and Islamabad United having third spot with today's win against Quetta Gladiators can give them second spot is very interesting, and now these three teams have good chance for qualifying into play-offs and for last and fourth spot we have Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators, but Karachi Kings need just 2 wins which can bring back them into limelight for having spot into play-offs very good and interesting situation which is creating good fans influence as well.
First match at Lahore have very big crowd and now many feeling in today and tomorrow matches surely we are going to have same level of fans which is very good.
I love Nepal team as they are doing very good recently and yesterday's was really great because once I was feeling they will lose but at the end they have done good job for good win.

It is really good to see the fans being more and more interested in PSL because Pakistan really needs as much support as they can get for their PSL League. Is it needed to say that the matches seem to be more interesting than before in my opinion? I don't know why but I really think that this year's PSL has some flare to it.

He have played good number of IPL matches, and his performance seems to be consistent which is the reason for his high pay on the auction. During 2018 auction he was bought by Mumbai Indians. In that season he is the highest run scorer for Mumbai Indians with with 516 runs from 14 matches. Maybe that can be a reason for paying this money on him.

If you follow IPL auction of earlier years closely, generally players with bright futures get highest bids because auctioneers like to invest in future. He is not at all inexperienced in IPL infact was a star performer for MI in previous IPL. Even though his career stats are average but he has a lot of talent, i agree 15 crore is high but I expected him to go till 10-11 easily. It was SRH because of which this happened.

If I'm not wrong I think that he has played really well previously in some IPL matches and that might be the reason why he was bought for that heavy of a price. I know that Mumbai has thought long about this And I believe they have a plan around him. I think they are trying to push this player to do well and prove himself in this season's IPL.

True, but they still overpaid. I find it weird that they decided to shell out so much for him to be honest. Players like Warner were bought for less than half of that amount which seriously blows my mind.

Also, I was stunned to see Smith go unsold while Kohli was retained by his franchise. Players like Stokes etc would probably go unsold too if they participated in this season.

Now this all is going like we have in UEFA local European players having some good amount and salaries and players from other continents are having no luxuries like this so IPL is also going on this same patron giving huge funds to their local players instead of foreigner players which is good because it's all about their domestic talent and it needs to have some good response from these fishes for other youths to have better quality and skills.

Hasarangsa from Sri Lanka is also having very good amount 10.75 crores which is very good amount for this youngster who is doing very good in recently all leagues. Very bad time for English players specially after nearly 24 players involve in PSL they feel they have not good performance recently, perfect decision from them but still funny for me.

Even before the auctions started, a lot of people were predicting record breaking amounts for Ishan Kishan. Mumbai Indians could only retain 4 players, else they would have retained him for a much smaller amount. In the end, he was sold for more than $2 million, while Kieron Pollard (who was retained) will receive just $800,000. And I am not surprised with the money-splurging attitude from the franchises. If they can spend $1 billion for purchasing the franchise, then spending 0.1% or 0.2% of that for a good player is just like peanuts.

Islamabad United gave a massive target of 200 to Quetta and seeing the recent performance of Quetta it was predicted that it will be any easy win of Islamabad. Jason Roy who is terrific form scored 54 runs on just 27 balls. Sarfraz finally played a match winning innings of 50 not out.
Quetta are very much now in the race for next round.

I would not say that kamran Akmal was the best keeper but he was the only keeper we had in those times. Many times, Umar Akmal was out of form and selection committee wanted to replace him but then the only keeper Kamran Akmal insists that if umar akmal is out of team, he would also not play. This left no choice for the board to keep the both players in the team.

Have you seen the batting of umar akmal in yesterday's psl match ? He scored 23 runs in just 8 balls and due to his innings, the queeta team was able to win this match. He is a powerful hitter and was an asset to the national team. The two brothers can always play in a national team if they both are performers. I hope you remember Steve Waugh and Mark Waugh who served Australia for a long time.

Everyone knows the talent of Umar Akmal but the problem that he always had was consistency. He was given a lot of opportunities but he failed at big stage. Yes he played some extra ordinary innings but those were pretty rare. He has the potential but has not be able to perform according to that.

Majority of Players in the Marquee list got bad deals, except Shreyas Iyer but he's up for captaincy slot so his price tag make sense. Warner and Quinton De Kock were the main victims, historically every franchise avoid bidding war during first round (Marquee auction), same thing happened yesterday. These 2 batters could have fetch 8-9 crore easily but its a bad luck that they were up for grab at the very start. It happened to so many players in the past as well Rohit, Bumrah comes to my mind when they were sold to Mumbai less than million bucks. Having said that I'm sure if Warner and De Kock perform well in upcoming season then they are going to get extra money -under the table deal-.

It seems Ishan Kishan might become the costliest player in this IPL. Not much going on today, only a few international players are being bought. Preference is more towards all rounders it seems today too.

Ishan is most expensive player of IPL 2022 and forth overall after Chris Morris, Yuvraj and Pat Cummins. In just 23 years of his age he is eaning so much money.
In second T20I between Aus and SL, Aus is 137/4 in 17 overs. Predicted score from here on looks to be around 160. If Aus can get to 160 then it will be very difficult for SL to chase it down.

As i said in my last post that Sri Lanka have chance only if Pathum Nissanka and Dasun Shanaka can bat till end. They both done there job very well. Sri Lanka not able to perform well in one over eliminator,  just 5 runs they scored. Overall its an excellent performance from Sri Lanka team and hope they will continue this form in remaining 3 matches.

what a thriller match! Hazlewood confines Sri Lanka to only five runs in the super over, Australia chase it down effectively and take a 2-0 lead in the series. So close defeat from Sri Lankan after an absolutely splendid execution. Well played Sri Lanka, congrats Australia on winning. Does Sri Lanka lost the match because of one wrong choice of the umpire? Sri Lankan fans purposely make allegation poor umpiring helped to win Aussies.
