@SaShiRaJaVu. Dana’s new storyboard might be Conor versus Nate Diaz trilogy first to make his image recover assuming he gets the victory. Next after this might be to run another storyboard for another trilogy on Conor versus Dustin.
That will be his priority if Conor McGregor sticks to his words that he will be active in the fight game and Nate Diaz trilogy makes sense and if that match up is difficult then he might go for the trilogy with Dustin as the PPV records shows that it was one of the best events they ever had. Imo, I feel sad no to see old Conor, when he destroys opponents mentally before fight with trashtalk and etc. What we see now - "respect, good fight, congrats". Seems that this is not his style and he had lost his "magic". It is not because McGregor lost his magic in his left hand but Dustin Poirier is durable and he knows how to take a punch and fight smartly in this division as he already faced many tough opponents and dominated them. After that Conor would announce retirement (for the third time), even though (if I remember correct info), he still has 4 fight under the contract.
If he remains retired Dana White and the UFC will not force him to return and fulfill their contract, the problems happens if they want to fight else where than the UFC.

I had a prediction nightmare last weekend. I'm actually gutted for Conor, but Poirier absolutely deserved it, for the progress hes made in the fighting game the last few years. Questions remain over whether Conor will keep his word, and continue to fight inside the UFC, and whether or not he still has what it takes. Honestly, Conor looked somewhat decent up until the point he was cuddling with the floor. I thought he was outstriking, and dealt pretty well with the takedown of Poirier.

That's just some normal scene every time a new champion has arisen, we see the former one in a bad state but that does not make them any less than a former champion. Mcgregor still earned the MMA fighters respect especially those who fought him before. I think he needs to rest and come up with a good condition after this one, I hope to see him again in the ring and Yes, I was rooting for this guy too.

Conor looked somewhat decent up until the point he was cuddling with the floor. I thought he was outstriking, and dealt pretty well with the takedown of Poirier. Conor was sloppy and missed a lot of shots, when he connected he never went ahead with multiple combinations and he was just sticking in and getting out and his feet was planted for the leg kicks and he ate a lot of kicks from Dustin Poirier and the game plan was spot on to take his lead leg and you cannot take much kicks and Conor himself addressed that his legs were compromised and cannot feel anything and Dustin Poirier is known to throw great combinations and he ended the fight with his trademark flurry of punches.

What does everyone think about Jake Paul fighting Ben Askren? It's a boxing match and obviously Askren specialises in wrestling, but I still think this is a risky fight for Logan and could get his ass handed to him. If he doesn't it'll be pretty embarrassing for Askren.
We already have a little discussion. Everyone are welcomed. McGregor - Poirier trilogy, McGregor - Diaz trilogy, McGregor - Khabib 2 - What next, McGregor vs <fighter> last blood ? McGregor vs <fighter> Revenge? McGregor vs <fighter> reunion? Division is full of talented fighters, why to schedule Conor to fight against them? Hope Dana White wont follow the lead of money and fans only and makes a fight between someone from the top versus fresh blood.

Personally, I don't want the trilogy just yet. I want to see Conor earn that right by taking out another top fighter within the division. There are far too many talanted fighters within the division to simply focus on the two. Conor had his chance to introduce himself once more, but he didn't take it. Poirier did. I also think it makes sense for Dana to try, and get Conor to fight as many fights as possible. After all, win or lose Conor brings fans from all walks of life, something that many fighters cannot do.
Justin vs Poirer? Conor vs Justin?
I think Justin has to be within a shout with either one of them. I think it makes sense for Conor to fight him, and then Poirier, and the winner of the bout for the title.

UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. VolkovDate: SUN, February 7, 2021 Main Card: SUN, FEB 7 / 3:00 AM EET Prelims: SUN, FEB 7 / 12:00 AM EET Venue: UFC APEX, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States Main card (ESPN)Heavyweight: Alistair Overeem vs. Alexander Volkov Bantamweight: Cory Sandhagen vs. Frankie Edgar Women's Bantamweight: Marion Reneau vs. Macy Chiasson Flyweight: Alexandre Pantoja vs. Manel Kape Bantamweight: Cody Stamann vs. Andre Ewell Lightweight: Beneil Dariush vs. Carlos Diego Ferreira Preliminary card (ESPN2 / ESPN+)Lightweight: Clay Guida vs. Michael Johnson Light Heavyweight: Mike Rodríguez vs. Danilo Marques Bantamweight: Julio Arce vs. Timur Valiev Women's Flyweight: Molly McCann vs. Lara Procopio Featherweight: Seung Woo Choi vs. Youssef Zalal source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_Fight_Night:_Overeem_vs._VolkovI think that Volkov has no chances against Overeem. Even though Overeem is not in his prime and best monster form, he is still on other level than Volkov. Volkov only chance is a lucky punch that will daze Overeem and then TKO. But, Overeem can survive a lot of damage and his monster power will simply blow Alexander from the octagon. Another great fight is Edgar vs Sandhagen. Top4 vs Top2 fighters. I guess the winner of this fight will have a title fight next. And Clay Guida is always fun to watch. I think both fighters will small opponents face to blood and will to a standing punch exchange frequently Both are on a loosing streak and has nothing to lose.

I'm gong for Sandhagen I think in the co main event. I just love watching him fight, he always brings something to the table, and think he'll be too much for Edgar. I'm undecided on the rest of the fights at the moment, but I'm thinking that Volkov could just edge this fight if he stays out of trouble, and avoid those power shots which I do believe he's more than capable of doing.
The next coming months we've got some top fights though, 2021 is absolutely stacked in terms of main events, as long as none of cancelled of course.

I have missed the Dustin Poirier VS Conor McGregor fight but I have made a bet on McGregor, men! after watching the highlights Poirier is really one tough bastard to crack, At first you would think that Conor McGregor is winning it but apparently he got stunned by Poirier barrage of punches,
I really think it was a great fight even though I have lost on my bet, watching it was really an amusement We could see that Dustin Poirier had leveled up after that fight he really got a heart of a lion to never give up.

Volkov for the win and so Sandhagen. Alistair is already 40 against the 32 Volkov the percentage of knockouts achieved by Volkov is much higher than Alistair. He's be beaten this time around, the younger fighters are more hostile like Cory sandhagen
Clay Guida fits right into the most entertaining fighter, he don't usually win but he eats a lot of punches while just dancing in front.

I think that Volkov has no chances against Overeem. Even though Overeem is not in his prime and best monster form, he is still on other level than Volkov. Volkov only chance is a lucky punch that will daze Overeem and then TKO. But, Overeem can survive a lot of damage and his monster power will simply blow Alexander from the octagon. You cannot underestimate the striking of Alexander Volkov and he does have knockout power and Alistair Overeem is not the monster he once was and he is prone to great strikers and there is no doubt this will be a great match up but i will be picking Alexander Volkov to win the fight. Clay Guida fits right into the most entertaining fighter, he don't usually win but he eats a lot of punches while just dancing in front.
It is time Clay Guida retires from the sport, he is in the fight game for a very long time and now he always falls short and i pick Michael Johnson to win the fight because of his fast hands.

Anyone willing to point out to me why I shouldn't be backing COry Sandhagen as much as I am? I only see this fight going one way, ignoring the chance of any lucky shots. Cory has always impressed me in fights, even when he appears to be struggling he has a certain volume that's just fun to watch. I think he's going to out pressure his opponent, and wear him down across the three rounds.
I don't see a knockout in this fight, but its going to be a war right until the end. I honestly think we could see a 30-27 win by Cory. This might just be because I'm biased as I love him as a fighter, but I just don't seen a Edgar win (obviously every fighter in MMA has a chance of winning).

^ Sandhagen is pretty good, but that price. He’s like 1.23ish in most books. So unless you’re willing to lay that kind of chalk, it’s better to pass or bet on the underdog. Frankie Edgar is no joke. The match could be closer than what the lines are showing us. https://www.bestfightodds.com/events/ufc-fight-night-184-overeem-vs-volkov-2029#I think Edgar’s wrestling should give Sandhagen a little bit of trouble. Volkov for the win and so Sandhagen. Alistair is already 40 against the 32 Volkov the percentage of knockouts achieved by Volkov is much higher than Alistair. Overeem’s KO percentage is lower cos he has way more bouts than Volkov. And check out how much of Overeem’s fights were won via sub. I’m leaning Overeem for the experience, he’s just the better fighter overall and I like those odds. https://www.mmaformguide.com/overeem-vs-volkov/

I had a prediction nightmare last weekend.
Everyone goes through these nightmare, even i had one bad card this month where most of my bets were lost. He needs one big fight from a tough fighter to get back in the limelight I believe a trilogy between him and Poirier can get him back if he wins in their third match, the loss is very surprising, Connor is a known striker but was beaten on his game, I'm sure he'll keep his promise that he'll concentrate on rebuilding himself, one more loss and he is busted. If he is aiming to get a title shot he needs to face Justin Gaethje which he avoided for the longest time, another top contender is Charles Oliveira who is a submission specialist and yet another tough opponent then you have the newly signed Michael Chandler who is a hard puncher with wrestling game and the other fighter he can face is Tony Ferguson. Not sure McGregor will face anyone in the top of the table and he might go after Nate Diaz or ask for the Dustin Poirier trilogy.

I haven't checked the odds admittedly yet as its a bit too far away for m, but I'll likely be putting it down as a Sandhagen by decision which should bolster the odds a little bit, at least it usually does quite nicely. The thing is when I'm usually super confident on a fighter, that's usually when they end up getting beat in embarrassing fashion, so wanted convincing otherwise! I'm still sticking with my 30-27 prediction, for anyone reading this DO NOT back based on my over confidence, I'm simply quite biased towards Sandhagen.

Everyone forgets that McGregor dominated the 145 pound division and moving up in weight he was able to defeat Eddie Alvarez who is a striker and it was a perfect match up for him but the rest of the 155 pound division is filled with tough opponents and it is not that easy to dominate the division with his style of fighting. I bet if McGregor goes down to 145 pound division he can still dominate most of the fighters but not in higher weight divisions.

There was no talk about Aldo getting his rematch he wanted it so badly it looks like both fighters are losing their steam, why not let Dana hatch that idea, I'm sure Aldo wants his revenge so badly, and McGregor should give him a chance, Dustin got his rematch, why not Aldo in the 145 pounds it has the making of a big hype.

It's because also, after the lost to Conor went on a 4-5 win/lost record. So there' no more hype on Aldo anymore. He is not the same after Conor destroys him. While Dustin after the first loss to Conor, improved a lot got his chance for a second fight and then won. So I think there's no hype on Mcgregor vs Aldo at 145. Both of them are in a decline already.
