Yesterday night I had some free time so I examined Tony Ferguson career during his last years. It turns out, that during 2 years, Tony has not won a single round, based on judges score cards. Can you imagine that? And his is on top6 right now.

It is obvious that his career might end soon. So if I were him, I would try to make my last fight memorable. Even if I will lose. Bloody, or TKO/KO, or something that people would really remember. On some youtube video, one guy told that "Hope that Tony wont get down and finish as B.J. Penn" and I thought "right, where is BJ now?" He once was a star, and I simply cant remember how it dim.

I am saddened by UFC fighters that ending their career and doesn't have good records well that is how life goes there are surely fighters that don't keep up to the pacing of new fighters and fighters with extreme talent, I think not to like Khabib Nurmagomenodov that has a flawless record, I surely feel sad about it but life goes on I think even though Tony Ferguson would not continue fighting in the UFC he will surely see a thing that is good for him and he will surely do for the rest of his years, fighting in the ring will surely not last forever and they will eventually be replaced by younger generations,\

That is just the truth, I only wish Tony Ferguson can have another match and from that match a victory before he can seal the deal in the fighting industry.

This is not about the heart of a champion. He needs to go down to featherweight division if he wants to win again. He dominated that division and he was confident that he could win in upper weight divisions but he was able to dominate Eddie Alvarez but when he started facing tough competition in that division his weakness was exposed.
I'm not sure, Conor can still beat the best of them. I think in the recent Poirer fight he actually caught him a couple of nicely, and gave him a buzz. The thing is everyone knows if you weather the storm Conor is going to be gassed. He's talked about working on his fitness, but I haven't seen any massive improvements in that regard.

If he stays in 155 or moves up like he has done, I think we will see him pick up a few wins here, and there, but nothing like the earlier domination simply because hes a risky type fighter, and the top guys know how to keep out of danger with him. At least to some extent.

Jacare Souza is finally released from his UFC contract after he broke his arm in last fight against other Brazilian Andre Muniz at UFC 262.
I need to applaud Khabib for having the courage and strength to quit while he was on top, because it's very sad to watch Jacare and Ferguson ending up beaten like this.
One more important news is that Diego Sanchez finally kicked out his guru Joshua Fabia  Cheesy

^  Yeah that was expected.  It was mentioned a couple of times itt by bbcreporter.  And Jacare is like 41 years old so it’s about time.  I hope he saved enough money cos most fighters don’t.

Anyway, a little late but here’s the live weigh ins.

Are you sure about Dvorak? I just saw his weigh in photo, everything seems in order.

And as for Jackare. I doubt he made any considrable amount of money. He did ok but it always seemd like he naver got to those big pay days (big in a relative sense anyway). Still, no need for him to push any further, not much he can do anymore...

It is sad to see Jacare Souza finishing his UFC career like this, there is a huge difference between the age of Khabib who is just 32 years old and he can easily compete for the next three years at the top of his game, Jacare Souza is over 40 and Ferguson is 37 years old and it is true we have not seen anyone stopping their career when they are on top apart from GSP even though he made his decision after a tough fight while Khabib was dominating world class fighters.

One more important news is that Diego Sanchez finally kicked out his guru Joshua Fabia  Cheesy
Glad Diego Sanchez did something that made sense, everyone was advising him in social media for months about it and finally he took the decision Cheesy.

To late. He has been able to completly screw up his relationship with the UFC and there is no turning back with this. Maybe with sacking Fabia he now has a chance at a Bellator contract or BKFC, but that is more or less it. No more hanging upside down and getting punched in the gut...

This is my last pick and what I think may win on UFC Fight Night Font VS Garbrandt

Yan Xiaonan VS Carla Esparza

I think Yan Xiaonan has the accuracy and the speed on strikes that can potentially dominate Esparza, I could see great performance for Xiaonan than Esparza it seems that Carla Esparza's fight was all close and all with decisions but Carla Esparza can get the fight on the ground and could look for a takedown for the finish but if Xiaonan can have this fight with her volume of punches and kicks with her accuracy on her striking Yan Xiaonan can take this fight.

Rob Font VS Cody Garbrandt

Well, this is a pretty tough pick for me because, in my opinion, both fighters can end the other with their own style, if Garbrandt can be faster against Font then he can deliver faster strikes with volume, but If Rob Font can be technical with his moves and aim a ground win he can surely have a chance in winning, but apparently in my opinion Font has versatility in both striking and ground fight so in my last pick I would surely go with that versatility.

If we look at stake.com's odds both Yan Xiaonan and Rob Font have an advantage and have the favor for the odds.

Is there not a fight night scheduled next week? I've got used to having fights every weekend or at least close to that, so when there isn't one I feel like something is missing in my life Tongue

I'm going with Rob Font, but I won't be betting on the fight, its way too close to call. Not even going for an alternative bet like rounds or anything. It should at least be a good fight to watch, and hopefully is what we are all predicting; competitive.

Dvorak is still fighting but like I wrote before his opponent Brazilian fighter Andre Muniz had a brutal weight cut, he got sick because of it and removed from fight card.
Dvorak is now fighting against new last minute fighter Juancamilo Ronderos, this is his first UFC fight, total four fight in his pro carrier and Dvorak should win this very easy like odds are showing.

One thing should be mentioned that Jack Hermansson recently had covid and he may not be 100% with cardio, so Edmen Shahbazyan may have a better chance in this fight than odds suggest.

Don't forget to take into account the KO double winnings bonus that will be applied for these 2 fights on Stake.
I understand you are betting on Rob Font for the main event but I didn't understand what will be precisely your pick for the other fight Yan Xiaonan VS Carla Esparza.

I agree it's not easy to make H2H predictions when contestants are very close to each other in terms of overall levels, and the meeting is likely to be tight. But IMO when you like gambling, odds above 2.00 in expected tight matchs are usually interesting because being paid more than 1/1 or +100 for a head or tail game is very likely to be profitable on the long run. Moreover possible bonuses from the sportsbook could enhance this expected profit.

I've gone for a 4 fold which returns 45k. Then a multi sport one which is a longer one at 45k. I'll probably do some in play bets once both of these bets fail on the first fight, as tradition.

I've got:

Damir Ismagulov by decision
Yancy Medeiros
Joshua Culibao by decision
Bruno Silva rnd 2 (4 fold)
Chris Barnett by decision
Edmen Shahbazyan rnd 3 (4 fold)
Justin Tafa rnd 3 (4 fold)

Main event I've actually put in for either fighter to win by TKO (4 fold). Not great value, but put it in just because I don't really like not betting on the main event.

Prelims are starting soon but we have one canceled fight Damir Hadzovic vs Yancy Medeiros, because of health issues with Hadzovic.
I think it's time for UFC to change this stupid weight cutting rules and adopt something similar like ONE championship is doing, because every week someone collapses or needs to go to hospital.

Shit, did not know that about Hadzovic. He is from my region of the globe so I was really looking forward to seeing him fight Yanci. As for the rule, they should also change the gloves, but they really rarely do anything to change such major factors. I always wondered why is that. I thought changes would come when the Fertitas sold the UFC, but I was wrong.

This is exactly what i was telling, in the Featherweight division he was able to sleep champions and other fighters with a single punch and the upper weight division fighters are not going out like Conor McGreogor or his fans are expecting and so is the reason he is loosing fights as he is not able to maintain the momentum forward.

If he stays in 155 or moves up like he has done, I think we will see him pick up a few wins here, and there, but nothing like the earlier domination simply because hes a risky type fighter, and the top guys know how to keep out of danger with him. At least to some extent.
I wont debate about Conor McGregor winning fights if he is getting the same treatment now. He was able to pick favorable match up during his rise and the UFC played along with it supporting him full handed and now they are not getting the same love and if he fights lesser competition he will win easily.

Here you go, the full results. More or less expected, especially in the case of Font and Esparza. I always thought Garbrandt was a one-trick pony that was good at beating Dom Cruz because that is all that his team focused on, but when that was gone, he just faded quicker than almost any champ I have seen (or can remember at this point)

Yup! I have applied the double-winning bonus on both fights and I didn't expect the result for Yan Xiaonan VS Carla Esparza, but still, my bet with Rob Font VS Cody Garbrandt was recovered from Xiaonan's losing, my thoughts that Yan Xiaonan will be winning it just like what I have predicted with Rob Font winning

Rob Font Def Cody Garbrandt

Rob Font's Accuracy is amazing we can see that most of his punches are coming in that you can see Garbrandt's nose was already bleeding, Rob Font just keeps on slowly damaging Garbrandt from jabs as you have watched the fight from start to finish.

Carla Esparza Def Yan Xiaonan

I never expected that outcome, Esparza just jumps on and nailing Xiaonan with a takedown, and Esparza really did something for Xiaonan's forehead to be bleeding and I think that is another thing that caused her to struggle a lot.

Well, we can not control the outcome of every fight, you can win some and you can also lose some and now we need to move on and on to another event. UFC Fight Night Rozenstruik VS Sakai is next.

I did not watch the event because i had no balance to bet on the event as i busted everything on the Golden State Warriors loss which i did not expect and i was not too confident in placing a bet either.

I would have gone with Cody Garbrandt if i was placing a bet and i would have lost again and i will never expect Carla Esparza to win by TKO and another loss for Edmen Shahbazyan and he needs to find another trainer because as long as he is training under Edmond Tarverdyan it is not going to make him a better fighter .

This fight card was probably one of more boring I watched in some time but I didn't expect to see much anyway, and I am waiting for UFC 263 with Adesanya, Figueiredo and Nate Diaz.
Carla Esparza was so dominating on ground and she smashed the head of Chinese fighter, that is something I didn't expect to see, but I will forget everything else from this card.
Paul Felder finally retired from fighting in UFC but he will remain working as commentator.
