Babar Azam has been a reliable player but in his place Imam-ul-Haq Haq has been playing quite well with Sarfaraz Ahmed in partnership. Both have already managed to create a partnership of 54 runs. Imam-ul-Haq remains unbeaten on 71 runs while Sarfaraz Ahmed is on 42 runs.
If they can play like this then the match is more likely to be a draw. But if New Zealand can quickly get one or two wickets, the match can come under control. But it can be very difficult this time.

Pakistan recovering nicely as they are now 7 runs ahead of new zealand and important thing is both sarfraz and Imam are on the crease. Good come back by Sarfraz into test as he has made 86 in first innings and now 49 not out in second innings. He is fine with bat but need to pay attention to his skills behind wikcets. He missed some catches and stumps.

Furthermore if Pakistan set 150+ runs as a target then I feel that New Zealand will stop chasing it, because they’ll constantly be losing wickets and thus they’ll probably play it out for a draw too.

Win here for New Zealand for sure as they need 3 more wickets to wrap up Pakistan second innings. When Pakistan scored 438 runs then everyone criticised the pitch, but now when wikcets are falling, everyone praising Newzealand good bowling. Poor batting from Pakistan side. They once again prove that they are capable of spoiling a good game.

Very unpredictable at this point. Tea is being taken and we have 35 overs in the 3rd session of play. Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Wasim are at crease, and the former is having a test batting average of 55.86. If New Zealand gets 25 overs to chase a total of 100-110, then there is a chance for them. But if the target is 120 or higher, with ~20 overs, then the chances are that the match may end up as a draw. IMO, the Kiwis can give a short spell to Southee/Wagner, to see if they can get one of the batsmen out. At this point, they are playing spin with relative ease.

If we take Sodhi out from the attack then no one else looked effective and this batting duo hardly facing any difficulties.

Sodhi can bowl from only one end, other bowlers need to up their game as well if they fancy a win here.

Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Wasim are at crease, and the former is having a test batting average of 55.86. If New Zealand gets 25 overs to chase a total of 100-110, then there is a chance for them. But if the target is 120 or higher, with ~20 overs, then the chances are that the match may end up as a draw. IMO, the Kiwis can give a short spell to Southee/Wagner, to see if they can get one of the batsmen out. At this point, they are playing spin with relative ease.

Defiantly it will be a T20 now. Pakistan lead by 126 runs and 22 overs renaming and 2 wickets left. Saud is still on the pitch and he must try to take the lead to 180 to 200 only then Pakistan have a chance to draw the game.  Anything near 150 will be easily chased by NZ on such road type pitch. Pakistan really need to improve there batting and bowling.

I would say suicidal declaration and its not recommended if you have lost two consecutive home series. Bracewell is gone in first over, he was bowled by Abrar. NZ need 122 runs on 74 balls at the moment and this is very much in there range. NZ are going with 6 runs per over and they to do some more acceleration if they really wanna win this game.

It's third series in which are seeing such flat track. Even on such flat tracks Pakistan is not able to win a single test match this year. Bad light saved the match for Pakistan or its New Zealand, who just let it go to draw. There are lights in karachi stadium, if light was the issue then they can play under lights. Next match is also on same track and let's see whether Pakistan can break there losing track.

So will you call it a good play from Pakistan batsmen to save the match from this situation on the bad wicket? I think Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Wasim really played a match saving innings and snatched the victory from the hands of New Zealand.

I am not saying that Pakistan played well in this test match, they did not. They need to improve many things but if we only see the play for day 5, it was a masterpiece from the Pakistan team.

Expected the unexpected and even though the match was a draw New Zealand camp would be sad and the Pakistan Camp happy at the end of the day.
