New Zealand team is in good position after deciding to bat first winning the toss. The openers Latham and Convoy have done a great job. As of now the team have scored 119 runs in 30 overs with Latham at 67* and Convoy at 51* which is much needed for now. Probably New Zealand will score 350+ runs at the end of day 1. Tough match for Pakistan.

In the first Karachi Test, the two teams scored a total of 1422 runs, that is, the Karachi Test is a run-scoring affair.  There will be a lot of runs in this test especially if New Zealand can collect 350 runs at the end of the first day i.e. if they can give a target of 600 runs in the first innings and the bowling department does very well then any result can come in Karachi second test.  However, although National Stadium of Karachi is known as the home ground of Pakistan, the New Zealand batsmen are performing better than the Pakistani batsmen here.

In the 2nd Test match, Pakistan vs New Zealand, both teams played a very good game. Now New Zealand batted and scored 181 runs in 44 overs. New Zealand is batting very well. Shah took 1 wicket for 34 runs off 11 overs.

This is an alleged pitch for the next match, it has a good amount of grass so maybe things would be different tomorrow.

Let's hope they don't trim grass too much or completely shaved it and turn it into another highway.

At the moment NZ are 200/1 in 51 overs and going with 4 runs per over. Havent seen the pitch so far but I dont think its because of pitch rather weak Pakistan bowling lineup. Naseem Shah is back but that wasnt able to make any significant impact on Pakistan bowling. Devon Conway just got his 4 test century and NZ are in command at the moment.

The first inning is slipping away from Pakistan as it's very much expected that NZ close today's play by scoring 350 runs. If that happens it will be difficult for the struggling batting lineup to chase down this huge total of first innings.

350? That isn't happening. You clearly forgot the fact that Kiwi bowlers like Sodhi can score half centuries too as long as the pitch is batting friendly. They will probably post a score of 400+ in the first innings.

Pakistan will need to perform really well in the 2nd innings if they wish to win/draw the match.

Pakistan vs New Zealand 2nd Test match Pakistan did not do very well in the beginning but after getting the wickets of Tom Latham and
Devon Conway they managed to pick up two more wickets soon. Currently, New Zealand's collection is 269 runs for 4 wickets. If no more wickets are lost today then there is no doubt that the score of the match will be big. It will not be very easy for Pakistan to defeat such a big score of New Zealand. But it is expected that Pakistan can get more wickets today.

The New Zealand batsmen were in a very strong position in the first and second sessions but came into the third session with a dominant performance from the Pakistani bowlers. New Zealand's score is currently close to 300 runs but they have already lost 6 wickets.  But if the second day starts well tomorrow and gets through the first two sessions, New Zealand's total of 450 won't be too bad.

Newzealand looking good at the moment. The opening pair has already scored 80 runs. Tim Latham is on 42 and he might reach his half century. Conway is on 37 and both batters have a strike rate which is above 60.  Assuming these two continue till lunch Inam hoping a score of 200+. Pakistan not looking good at the moment. Their bowlers are unable to create any pressure at the moment.

I cannot say that New Zealand have faced too many problems so far in this test match. I hope the track changes its nature and going forward in the test match. Otherwise, it is going to be a problem for Pakistan again. So far New Zealand is scoring quite freely. I don’t know why the Pakistan Cricket board is so much hellbent on creating tracks like this.

New Zealand and Pakistan share the day. It was great to see Pakistan fight back, particularly in the last session, after New Zealand started well. However, 309/6 is not a bad score. The first hour of tomorrow's match will be crucial for both teams. From there, we'll know whether the match will end in a draw or not.

I cannot say that New Zealand have faced too many problems so far in this test match. I hope the track changes its nature and going forward in the test match. Otherwise, it is going to be a problem for Pakistan again. So far New Zealand is scoring quite freely. I don’t know why the Pakistan Cricket board is so much hellbent on creating tracks like this.

This could be a problem for Pakistan again since the pitch offers little to bowlers. With Pakistan's fleet of bowlers, I still don't understand why they prepare such pitches.

Yes absolutely Pakistan bowler show his potential, strong performance by the pacer Naseem shah who got two wicket of skipper Williamson and Latham while the new emerging all rounder Agha Salman bowl some mistery swings and got three  wicket. While Abrar got just one wicket, now 6 player are down so we can expect 450 around score from kiwi, which will be not a easy target for Pakistan batter, but let see what happen

Cannot find when Pakistan actually had a strong grasp on this test match so far. New Zealand did not face any problems in my opinion. I think New Zealand is very confident right now, and after the last test match, I almost half expected it. New Zealand must be frustrated after not being able to win the last test match. And they are also going to be very determined to win this one. So far New Zealand is playing very strongly and at the end of the day, 306 runs at the loss of six wickets is not a bad score to get.

The off-spinner Salman brought the team back into the competition, taking three wickets just when Pakistan were almost failing in the 2nd Test match. Naseem Shah also played an important role and took two wickets. New Zealand have lost 6 wickets, Pakistan can give short target if they can be bowled out by tomorrow. It is not possible to say how the condition of the Pakistani batsmen will be according to the pitch. If the target is small, there is less concern about winning the match and the players do not need to take extra pressure. If they give a target of around 450 runs then Pakistan will be able to maintain that situation because we have seen big scores in previous tests as well.

Pakistan had luckily escaped the defeat in the first test match. Pakistan was in the bad situation during the first two sessions of today's match. The third session was lucky for them. Pakistan players won't be able to score 300 runs if the pitch behaves in the same way tomorrow. I think that New Zealand will win this test match. I'm not expecting to see the draw again.
