I am seeing these comments where ICC is benefiting greatly when they allow franchise cricket, but from what i understand BCCI will pay the local board and the foreign players cricket board. From where you heard that ICC will be earning a payment from IPL.

ICC means big 3, so these all are taking some good earning from IPL directly or indirectly, but these are beneficiaries, so you can understand now from where I am heard and talking about this all.

About Bangladesh, they are already having their own League, and it's doing good for them in start maybe they have no good enough profit but as they are going hopefully in next few years they will be able to have some good profit from this which will help them for their structure and giving good salaries to their players as right now Bangladesh is 210 Million population country, and recently they have some good progress in different fields.

It is not actually big 3. Now it is big 4. New Zealand also sides with the big 3 boards on a regular basis and now the big 3 consider the NZC as one of them. But even then, there are 8 other test playing nations. The problem is not with the big 3, but with the lack of unity among the remaining 8 boards. When Pawar/Srinivasan changed the revenue sharing model to favor the big 3, many of the smaller boards supported them. If I remember correctly, the new proposal was passed with more than two-third of the votes.

I don't think ICC can do any strict penalties like this because it's not a sports organization, it's just political wing of few big countries in common wealth, and they are using this just for own sack. Here three countries are very big, and they have one puppet CNZ, so no other board can challenge them right now until they fight for their own sack. In near future cricket is going to be more dead and just leagues game instead of nations games which was few years back just because of really biased policies from very few countries those kill its beauty.
In next few years we will watch few big leagues and never have great moments of fight and passion for cricket.

So this means that we would have many cricket leagues and the nations will only play against each other in the world cup events only. This structure is similar to fifa where we have different leagues and countries compete in major tournaments like world cup or euro cup. If this happens it won't be good for the game.

Things are going in this way and ICC is fully supporting this all because they are not talking anyone about better future of this game no one is interested in fair play all looking for some big gifts and stuff from IPL, so I feel India is not alone big market in world many other countries can also have some good benefit from these leagues even these will not good enough but still these can profitable for them and many local players also beneficiary of this system.

Right now, Bangladesh is also having some good results from local league and Sri Lankan League is also in early stages, so I feel this all will be good for these small countries.

Lets hope that this does not happen and ICC should rethink on their strategies. Although it may be good for the players who may gain more money from every league and also good for the spectators as they will enjoy more matches, but certainly it won't be beneficial for ICC in the long run.

Yeah, I know about BPL. And I bet on almost every BPL match. While not as exciting as the IPL, the BPL is quite exciting and enjoyable. However, players from India and Australia are less visible here. Also last season I heard some rumors that clubs were not paying local players on time. Hopefully after all the trouble, BPL will be held again.

On other side Bangladesh is very new in this way but still doing very good they have good advantage of big population so soon surely they could be also well established, and they will be able to give some good money to players which will bring some more interesting players here.

In next few years they could be one of the best countries for sports, specially in cricket because India is also support them instead of Pakistan through ICC.

BPL obviously very popular premier league in Bangladesh after IPL and bigbash but Bangladesh don't arrange BPL T20 league due to the some political issues, budgets for player, and recently coronavirus pandemic situations. Just wait and see Bangladesh also arrange BPL next year guys.

Last year (2019-20), Sandeep Lamichhane left BBL after a few matches, after he got a higher paying contract with the BPL. Local players like David Warner have refused to play in the BBL. It may be the third largest franchise league in the world (in terms of revenue and viewership), but CA is not managing it properly.

There are total of 8 big teams at the moment. If you include England, Australia, India and New Zealand in big 3 or big 4 teams, then the remaining teams left are Pakistan, Srilanka, South Africa and West Indies. If south Africa didn't have domestic problems, they could have included in the big teams setup.  The problem is that small teams / boards doesn't have the money or power to speak for themselves and also their performance is not up to the mark.

I understand that its impossible to see a series between India and Pakistan ever again. The geographical structure is changing very quickly and you never know what will happen after 10 years. But other countries like New Zealand and England, who had their tour planned, should come and play.

Once again, it is up to the ICC. If the ICC impose strict penalties on teams that refuse to tour, then there is a good chance that the cricket boards of SENA nations would request their own governments to provide permission to tour Pakistan. But as things stand now, these boards don't face any losses if they refuse to tour (the losses will be borne by the PCB). It is not fair, if you ask me. This is true. In particular the dominance of BCCI can be seen much on ICC. However Zimbabwe playing against Afghanistan and similar teams in that cadre seems to be good than playing India or other top teams. With the introduction of T20 format ODI lost its importance. This is also a major reason why we can't see ODI's played against every teams.

Currently, they are not big as you are mentioning, but they could be if they have done some good marketing in near future right now we have this list as IPL, Vitality Blast, BigBash, CPL and PSL then BPL is coming.

In my view they need some good time for coming in top 5, but it's not impossible for them as they are slowly and sturdily doing good job for their domestic and International games other good thing for them is they are not in any conflict just because of their geographical way as we have right now Pakistan. This could be big advantage for them and their progress in future.

I agree with wiss19. BPL doesn't currently rank among the top-5 leagues. There is no point in importing superstars from countries like West Indies and Australia. They need to produce quality local talent first. Look at the foreign franchise leagues. Only Shakib al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman are included in the squads, because the other players simply don't have the quality. If they expand BPL without developing the local talent, then the league will be completely dominated by the foreign players and local youngsters won't get a chance.

Now it's already big changes happening but sadly CA is not adopting this all because I remember few decades back there was serious issue about salaries between CA and players Association, so many players was settling in England because they have nearly doubled money from home country.

But, sadly It's still going on as now just because of BBL they already have very good money in their account and many other things also happening which give them good resources, but Board is not going to change their attitude about this. If they do not bring some changes then surely few other Leagues can take over, and they will go with their second class players in this League.
