I remember the time when I usually watch and wait every day for games in TV5, I usually bet in San Mig Coffee, that is my favorite team way back before, but as of today, Philippine basketball is still a main trend that we should take advantage into betting who will win every game. Basically, with allot of involvement of the people in it, it could remain in mainstream and I hope we could also have system for betting in PBA cup online.
Betting on PBA is not bad at all but I am doubting the credibility of this league since most stronger teams will bring the best players in their side. Like what SMB did to most of the best players in the league which outbalanced the team build up. Anyways, even I was doubtful I was still betting on this league but mostly I bet on SMB teams when it comes to playoffs. The Cojuangco groups of company and the Pangilinan are the dominating teams inside this league both have enough money to offers star players to play with them. Not like before where there are lots of selections who also have the chance to win the title. Remember Shell, Sta.Lucia and Swift some names who also have the capabilities to bring enjoyment to the fans.

That makes PBA a boring league to watch, with the power of these two group of companies, they can even dictate the team for their interest. People are even thinking that PBA is rig and I actually believe on that so I always made sure I won't easily get attracted on favorites they don't cover most of the time.

IF you are a gambler and you are winning because you know this game is RIG, for me it will not make me bored. There's so much fun when you are gambling and you know your chance of winning is high, and you just have to be in the right side of the rig game. Personally, I believe that majority of the sports are rig, so PBA is not exempted, its also a big market for gambling even outside the Philippines for online sports bettors.

They won't change their starting line up, even when Christian Standhardinger was drafted with the SMB, he was not put in the starting position although he is a great player, if they are adding new players, it would be put in the bench, and their 2nd unit are also strong with Romeo as the PG I guess.

I don't think it's outbalance, take off Fajardo to the SMB and they will not be the number 1, actually it's only Fajardo who are making SMB looks unbeatable and being him as the highest paid player in the PBA, that only tells us he is the best player and whichever team he plays, he can transform that team in a good team. No man, most of the best players in the league was taken by SMB teams not only in beermen uniform but also in hotshots and ginkings. Look at the new teams like blackwater and Kia, do they have elite players like what SMB have? That's why I call it unbalanced because of the fact that SMB is always favored during trades.

They are making sure that after those starters got old and started to retired the second unit still fits to replace everything. This team was composed by talented players who can fill every missing piece in case injuries or something went wrong. Building a much better 2nd unit and making sure that everything still in shape for the next all Filipino conference.

OP should close this thread for now until PBA commences on March 1, 2020. These posts are totally non-sense and I don't know if they are following PBA for years: The Cojuangco groups of company and the Pangilinan are the dominating teams inside this league both have enough money to offers star players to play with them. Not like before where there are lots of selections who also have the chance to win the title. Remember Shell, Sta.Lucia and Swift some names who also have the capabilities to bring enjoyment to the fans.

When did these guys start watching PBA? Just yesterday? Blame your favorite teams if they can't afford to buy a superstar player's right. SMB is a big company outside PBA and they can offer a big contract to a superstar. Its the reason also why these teams are stacked. In All-Filipino, SMB is no doubt the strongest team but I agree that if you will take our Fajardo, it is a difficult challenge to them to be on top.

@Heartilly, where is the non sense there? if you have been following this thread and you have been actively replying on the post, you would know the flow of the discussion, these people who you quoted above are active posters int he thread during the last 2 conference I guess.
They are just stating their opinion and some facts, so you can't control what they have to say because this is a free forum. I will give you an example, the NBA thread was never locked even after the NBA finals, so this thread should be treated the same, we have some news after the PBA finals that we can discuss here and that includes speculation.
now, let me ask you since you assume that you know PBA well, have you been betting on them too? because if not, you're opinion would be off topic as this thread talks about "PBA betting".

It's all about money now, there's no heavy competitions unlike before where physicalities are just part of every games. Since pride and dignities are for real and not just for the paychecks.

Meanwhile. Four-cornered fight for MVP plum
Which of the following will win MVP? 1 Castro 2 Fajardo 3 C Stand 4 CJ Perez

I would still go with Fajardo, this is an all Filipino where SMB has been dominating for years, so most likely the MVP will be coming from the SMB team and it's JMF who is their best player. Castro is getting older, he is not as aggressive as before, while CJ Perez belongs to a non contender team so I would count these two.. however, I might call C stand to be close in competition with Fajardo on winning the MVP award. I am excited, let's see what's gonna happen.

2 Fajardo 4 CJ Perez
This is a sure win for Fajardo. PBA chooses MVP based on stats and these players are top 2. Media and player votes, I doubt they will give it to Perez although Fajardo is really deserving of this. Don't worry Perez fans, he will still have a reward, the Rookie of the Year.

Alright, game! I will play with these crybabies. They are just stating their opinion and some facts, so you can't control what they have to say because this is a free forum.
Now for those I quoted above, what are those facts you are referring to? Hey smart guy did you know the team that I've mentioned? are they small businesses? are you from PH? The imbalance and pressures send them away from the league.
Yes, they are SMALL compared to SMB. So small that they can't even maintain their membership to PBA. Outside PBA, where is Sta Lucia now? why Shell pull-out their franchise? Sta. Lucia was sold to Meralco. If these team really bring enjoyment to those fans, why PBA doesn't do anything to assist them? PBA cares for revenue so why they allow Sta. Lucia to be like that? It's all about money now, there's no heavy competitions unlike before where physicalities are just part of every games. Since pride and dignities are for real and not just for the paychecks.
Why still looking for that heavy competition? Modern basketball evolves and if you are really watching PBA for a long time you should be used to it now. Our grandparents and parents that witnessed the intense action in PBA back then already accepted that scenes like that will not happen again, so you should also be used to it. Look at NBA. So soft. Business is business. Do you really think that people will come back again watching live if that kind of competition in 80s 90s era will come back, NO. Salaries in PBA is very low. Once you became an underperforming player, you will be out. Even you are active player, you will be out. Today, its important to have a healthy body as always. There is still a physical game but not you will risk your life for a ball. LOL, he is not a smart guy!
The way he talk, he seem to be accusing us of discussing non sense here, maybe he has to read from the start of this thread before making some senseless post. He isn't even replying here so it's obvious he was just trolling.

There's no need to make a debate here and prove wrong who is better among us, this thread is for all PBA fanatics and I believe the reason it was outside the local is because it want's to attract gamblers to bet in this league. If you are die hard fan but you are not a gambler, then maybe you will learn in here. Anyway stop this non sense debate as the kind of debate you like will not serve the purpose of the thread.

You guys chill, , everyone's opinion has to be heard since this is an open forum, if you make a debate and no one agrees he is wrong, this thread will turn to be a debate thread. What I understand about the topic is you share your insights on the game and your bet on it, if you guys do that, we will be helping each other to win, I know it's not gonna happen now as the conference hasn't started yet but soon we will start betting, so instead of debating here, why not start saving so you'll get a loaded bankroll once the betting finally start.
