Therefore if there is a trade, in exchange of a big man stand, they need to take Japeth from GSM which I doubt GSM would allow after seeing Japeth have improve a lot in the past conference.
I doubt they will even think of trading Japeth. Like you said, he has improved a lot and he is now the core of Ginebra's offense. Giving him away will disrupt their offense. I think that is not worth getting CStan. Yeah, I was just talking about slim possibility as northport won't trade C Stand for a non star player. We will know soon if there is an addition to the GSM now that Greg is already out for vacation, probably a long vacation. We all know how strong the organization what SMB group is and they will pledge their full power not to trade japeth to the other team and for sure they will get another fire power to help their team for departure of Greg but it this replacement issue has not been talk yet since I think they are still hopefully that Greg will still play at them. I don't know but Greg is not more competitive as he was in the past, his shots looks awkward to me and has low percentage, he is only a threat in defense inside but in terms of points contribution, his been so inconsistent and for me, I think without him, GSM will be able to give chance to the other big man in the team which I believe coach Tim Cone is good in making experiment of his line up. I still believe that Greg is a big addition for the GSM. Especially now that Fajardo is not good and Slaughter is one of the biggest man in the league. But, Greggy is really slow and not consistent in his offensive side. But we should never forget that D is the best offense.

I hope he also think that way, otherwise why would he announce a break in basketball, maybe he has some self pity or something. (not sure) Especially now that Fajardo is not good and Slaughter is one of the biggest man in the league. But, Greggy is really slow and not consistent in his offensive side. Fajardo is injured and no Greg Slaughter since he take a break. if you haven't read the news yet, I get it for you - https://cnnphilippines.com/sports/basketball/2020/2/8/greg-slaughter-break.html

But I wonder why Greg doesn't improve since he plays the league for so many years already that's why their organization always though about trading him.

BGSM does have lots of gunners so no need for Gregzilla to focus on getting more points but instead maximize his capability in terms of defensive phase. Still, I'm wondering, there are surely other teams that will show interest to Greg service but still, he decided to take a break. Is he ruining the future plans of BGSM management? Because of that, BGSM needs to think of other options that will put on the market just to pursue the Standhardinger trade. But Marcial said that Slaughter is still under Ginebra's rights even the contract expired and he can be traded. Is that even possible? We really need to know the full terms here.

He improved mate. It is not noticeable though since it doesn't create a big sound compare to what Japeth did. Slaughter is also prone to injury. Maybe the reason why he became inconsistent. Although it is really noticeable that he became slower now. I think Ginebra fans should just move on to this. They are used to see and watch Ginebra with Slaughter getting limited minutes. There is no difference at all if he will still play or not. I didn't even think that just because Fajardo will be out of the next conference, Slaughter will be the next monster at the inside.

I am not sure it's possible, if there is a term like that then I believe it would only be possible with the sister teams as they control the decision making, but for other company, no one would trade their player in exchange for nothing.

Actually, this news doesn't bother me at all since I'm not expecting huge things from him in the first place. No offense but he is not an efficient Center for me. He is slow thus can't rebound very well and can't make strong low posts as well, I know that he is good in his collegiate basketball days but in the PBA hjs performance fall down. To be honest, for me smaller centers in the league like Sanggalang and Almazan are much better to than him. Anyway, Japeth is still there for the Ginebra. Let's trust the MVP .

Aside from Christian Standhardinger, who's other players on the trading list now?
I hope PBA trading activity became more aggressive especially at these long breaks. I understand if no trading activity will be done during each of the conferences but after the whole season, there should be big changes that will make fans more excited.
I'm against at Stand trade. San Miguel always has the advantage.

The best Centers now IMO are Fajardo, C Stand, and Sanggalang, they are the most efficient and you can rely on them in crunch time to lift the team for a win.

Indeed, Fajardo is one of the best that we can call but for now it's a long time break for him. For he couldn't play for the team until such time the injury got healed unto the process. This is the biggest challenge for the team where Junmar belongs to, and it really needs a total adjustments since this man was a strong asset for their team as well.

Exactly, the SMB needs to change their plan and it's good that Fajardo was injured before the season start so they can carefully think of a solution to their lacking good center position, it's now time for the substitute to show their heart and maybe shine in the next conference.

SMB has no choice but to give Tautua a chance to shine, he is different compared to Fajardo but if he plays as the center, we can also expect that he can shot from the 3 point line or beyond. 18 days more to go and we will witness another all filipino cup - https://pba.ph/

Fajardo's absence create a big impact to the entire game system of SMB but it's not limited to him alone, they still have the core players they just need to workout with Tautuaa as he will serve the big man position filling the need for Fajardo's absence.

check this tune up game between SMB and ROS. San Miguel beats Rain or Shine in tune-up game without Fajardo
SAN Miguel defeated Rain or Shine, 77-63, on Tuesday in a tune-up match at the Acropolis Gym as part of the Beermen’s build-up for the PBA Philippine Cup without five-time MVP June Mar Fajardo.
Terrence Romeo was one of the players that took command for the Beermen in the tune-up game after building a big lead in the first period.
Though this is just a tune up game but they can win against a healthy team so this is a sign that they will remain competitive once the next conference will commence.

SMB is an overpower team if there is no import allowed. The problem is only there import can't carry the tram to the Finals unlike Alex Durham and Brownlee which really shows an impressive statistics. Adjusting there current line up is not a must even though Fajardo is out due to injury. They just need to work out the available big man in there roster since there is a lot of outside shooter available in there team. I don't think that they will acquire new big player to fill junmar role. Since Junmar will eventually come back again and building a new player skills is very hard compared on self adjustment of the remaining roster.

Great to know that they have won the game against one of the best all filipino cup squad in the PBA. While reading the link you shared, I also read about Fajardo's status and it tells us that he might be out for the rest of the season. Fajardo also could be out for the rest of the season depending on his recovery.

Finding some clips to watch some highlights but looks like it will just be available after a few days or weeks or if others found one, can you share some here? Thanks This tune-up game is a good test for SMB's roster reshuffling. Glad to see that those veterans center are put in action although I don't know if Austria will do the same once the season starts. Fajardo's absence shouldn't be a problem. 4 gunners + 1 center or PF working on offensive and defensive phase at the paint should do the work. Rain-Or-Shine also lost on their tune-up game against Magnolia last week. Surely they aren't going full since their bench players seen having good minutes.

I can't recognize some of the players. And by the video title looks like they mostly only used those new players on both respective teams. Who are these new players? Only rookies? Although, at the article content shared by you above, it was Terrence Romeo who leads the SMB on that tune-up game. Hope there are lots of tune-up games to be followed. Sad but true that rookies, even how good are they at college leagues, only receiving limited minutes on their first year. The next couple of conferences, most of them will mostly become a bench warmer because of the import's presence.

It's good to see that they are adjusting and using new players combining with their veterans but likewise, coach Leo might still be eyeing for any big man that will have a free agency due to Fajardo's absence. They need more consistency from their outside shooters since they don't have a big threat inside, shooters and role players need to step up now.
