for bitfury maybe its not only about the money maybe they just want the have more then >50% hashin power. Whit whole DC infrastructure already put in place, replacing the boards wont take to loong.
It will help the Bitcoin ecosystem flourish. Not. You probably noticed the announcement that they bought Allied Control.

They do not need to rush. Just swap in slow but sure. Letting the .2 watt gear they added pay some coins then add more. Most likely this is what they are going to do. Add 20 ph every other jump.

Seems to me the only reason they would do this is because they don't want everyone else to also have IC. I guess we will be seeing more ghetto warehouse datacenters this year.

My biggest hope is they add the hash slowly rather then quickly. I feel btc pricing is stressed at the moment.

You don't need water cooling to have quiet. You just need to stop designing for maximum density. Spread the chips out and use nice quiet slow big fans. That's really all water cooling is.
If the SP20 was twice as large (same number of chips, without putting 2 chips in line of the airflow) it would run much better and quieter with 2 fans.

Snapshot of the manufacturers poll Philipma1957 ran before the mods killed it off I find the mods action unbelievable. Guy Edit: I opened a meta thread to discuss the poll removal by the mods, without any explanation: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=938782.0

Is not worth the time&energy, is like fighting the wind or rain... Philip should look into: Post the polls in Archival, and lock all of them. Then link to the polls from one topic in Hardware

Thank you. Unfortunately the poll suffered unexplained untimely death. Guy It wasn't one "poll." It was five poll s. In five separate threads. All posted by the same person. Because you paid him. And the explanation is simply that "spam will be deleted."

My predictions, three months ago: Bitcoin TLV `14, #25 - Guy Corem - Mining ForecastBitFury revealed their mining address two days afterwards. I didn't expect to see AntPool grow so much. Let's see how the rest of my predictions will be in 2015. It was based of BTC value of $400 The rest of Inside Bitcoin TLV lectures can be found here: Inside Bitcoins Tel Aviv 2014tI think that it was one of the best Inside Bitcoin conferences ever. Kudos to Meni Rosenfeld.
