Only trust the 3 hour and 12 hour measurement. I know all the first units intimately - none of them will give 5.115Th over long time.
My little SP30... I thought I could protect your innocence from this cruel world

My SP30 is already visible at eligius: 256 seconds 5,115.93 Gh/s 304933 128 seconds 4,326.21 Gh/s 128931
5,115.93 Gh/s is way over 4.5 TH/s +-5% Lucky :-) would have been too good to be true is this stock voltage though ?

All chips are basically overclocked to the max at the moment to get a high hashrate.
Future software versions might achieve a small increase, but I guess Zvi has tried out a lot of overclocking and the firmware basically sets the speed for each chip independantly.
Could you say something about your datacenter cooling? Are you using evaporative cooling?

My little SP30... I thought I could protect your innocence from this cruel world I think my original intention was lost in the translation. You can be sure that nobody in Spondoolies becomes intimate with miners in that way, however unsatisfying the hash-rate they provide.

I am pretty sure that the SW is making decisions in rather optimal way. We are 99.8% ASIC work time, 0.1% HW errors, <0.5% idle shares. The only place I can theoretically improve is in decision making about how I distribute the power, but I don't think there is more then 1%-3% there. I hope I am wrong, we will continue to investigate of course, but I would say this is probably what those ASICs provide for this power. Regarding cooling, the slow corner is rather insensitive to heat, and we have a lot of spare power in DC2DC (unlike SP10 April/March batch), so it will not have big impact - maybe 1%. Note that 100GH sounds like a big difference, but it is just 2.5% of SP30. Just for 0.5% idle shares you loose 20GH on SP30.

So, you are holding the fort today and Guy is resting after the marathon past midnight session? Q1: Guy was saying something about slightly faster wafers. Would these be in time for Early september batch? Q2: Now, with chips delivered, is there a timeline for when early September batch would be delivered (to US)? Some hosting sites have a very precise schedule.

Dear Thomas, After a successful burn-in test, we are happy to announce that your unit was shipped and is now on its way to you. The unit was shipped with DHL. Please see attached shipping documents. A lot of work was put into designing, building, and shipping that unit. We believe you will enjoy it very much. If you have any questions feel free to contact us at info@spondoolies-tech.com. Best Regards, Katya Penkar Thank you spondoolies-tech. I know I will be happy after we have discussed compensation.

Sucks you don't get your refunds until October. That's a nice interest free loan that Spondoolies got from the community and now you don't have the option to buy competitors gear if you wanted since SP is holding onto your money for a few more months. i'm sorry but; you are clueless. since when would I ever put all my eggs in one basket? since when would I put all my money into one purchase? since when are you the authority on what everyone else does with thier time/money/investment? you just make it up as you go along. clueless. now run along and stop your whinging. I'm fed up of people who have nothing better to do with their time than complain about common hurdles which can often occur in life. If I had your attitude, i'd be afraid to leave my house in case I got hit by a bus. You do not endear yourself to me, and personally, I couldn't care less about your own predicament. today is still a good day I'm not clueless, you are clueless. It is your money they are holding onto, why shouldn't you be allowed to invest it in something else now? BTW I am a Spondoolies customer.

Once I get faster ASICs I will post here.

The chips are long way from overclocked to the max. In the SP30, the limiting factor is the AC2DC (Around 90W per ASIC). After that, DC2DC (100W per ASIC) and cooling.

Again you make presumptions upon which you have no facts or evidence. Spondoolies are not holding onto anything of mine which I immediately require back and I am very content with their level of service. I don't understand what restraints you think are upon me but I should advise you that i am actually 'allowed' to do whatever I want with my own money - nobody has hijacked it, or taken it from me with false pretence, as you seem to infer here. I am a very happy Spondoolies customer and no amount of goading from a clueless troll like you will change that. Things happen in life that no-one can control and your whining and moaning, looking for someone to blame... does not endear you to me. shit happens, get over it. today remains a good day.

The chips are long way from overclocked to the max. In the SP30, the limiting factor is the AC2DC (Around 90W per ASIC). After that, DC2DC (100W per ASIC) and cooling. I agree, it was inaccurate. The limiting factor is the available 12V power delivered by the PSU and after that the DCDC and cooling. This should mean an immersion cooled setup with good DCDCs should be able to get even higher hashrates out of the chips, making them very cost-effective. The lower efficiency of these chips should remain, still leaps better than AM chips though. It should be fair to compare the asic with the 28nm Bitmain chip in terms of power efficiency though. A bigger package and die area has both advantages and disadvantages.

Ignoring the fact that someone (spondoolies-tech) actually has full control over the situation and significant amounts of bitching and moaning can lead to more reasonable compensation. I do hope compensation is not only for $/gh. At 0.15 $/kwh each machine will use an extra ~$1500 per year in electricity. And is there actually a reason compensation is being delayed to october? If I remember correct SPtech had enough private funding for each batch. Why will customer funds be held hostage? today remains a good day.
Did something extraordinary happen to counteract all the bad news from spondoolies?
