Collider, jtoomim, Roadsress or anyone with the early machines:

Please post your statistics and whether you achieved sustained ~4.5TH at 208-220V (please post your voltage) and what was the speed at 110/120V if applicable (I assume 4.1Th). Thanks.

Hosted at SP's DC so 220V, it hashes at 4.4Th (22.5min has a lot of variance but 3-12 has low variance), the downtime was the DC issue that Guy reported here.

Has anyone actually received the SP30 yet?

Just wonder how trustworthy ST is and whether their 2nd September batch can be delivered on time.
i imagine dogie & perhaps roadstress didnt part with any coin, i could be mistaken

Oh yes, dogie definitely parted with mucho coin on this one.

Thank you dogie we appreciate your efforts and guides on various equipment (knc Titan maybe?)

although I am somewhat disappointed you paid 'mucho" for the sp30...I was under the impression you were 'SuperMan"
getting equipment for free from your hardware guides and reviews

alas another 'dream shattered' sigh

anyway I and am sure others on bitcointalk appreciate your efforts to inform us on products as they come out the gate

thanks again

Dogie got his sp10 for free though, so he shouldn´t be hurting too much.

If bitmain doesn´t come up with their S4 (likely around 0.55W/GH at the wall) too soon and in massive volume (and awfully cheap too), my guess is that all current sp30 customers should get a good bang for their buck.

Why did you limit PSU to 1260?
Aren´t you supposed to limit the sp10 PSU to 1260?

On SP10.
On SP30 the unit "learns" the PSU, so you can set initial value to 1360 (that is how we ship them).
The unit will settle around 1320, depending on temperature.

Does it recheck for this value?

What happens if it is 10°C cooler during nighttime?

Would the amount of available 12V power increase if you put it onto a 252V circuit?

Will a cooler ambient temperature increase PSU performance?

Even the guy who writes the software that almost all mining equipment in existence uses and depends on hardly ever gets free hardware, even though he returns the favour with ongoing driver support, though he did get an SP10 which he was grateful for.

I'm glad to see that the efforts of writing the miner are being appreciated here and there. Mostly by the fair players of the bitcoin game.

There are both cgminer & bfgminer co-exist and are feature for feature with relative strengths.

No particular claim as to which is better or what the relative strengths, just to point out there are two maintained asic & gpu mining code-bases and apparently have been since close to the beginning of gpu & fpga mining where those code bases forked.

ckolivas, I'll give you 6 kW of free hosting with us for as long as we're in business. If you have use for a dedicated server on a 100 Mbit/s symmetrical fiber link, we could probably provide that for you too, as long as you're careful about security and do your own sysadmining and are okay with uptime in the 99%-99.9% range.

Edit: As long as we're in business and you are actively maintaining cgminer and contributing to the community.

If you have SP30 SW "2.2.27", please update to "2.2.28" and reset PSU limitation (set it back to 1350 or 1360). 2.2.27 learns bad PSU limits.

Regarding SP10 "no graphs" issue, I think it is a problem to connect to timeserver.
Please restart the SP10 and issue should be resolved. If not update me.

Why did you limit PSU to 1260?

Because MichColo's ambient temp is little bit higher, I am forced to put my FANs at 90%, hence I am not risking my mining operations by adding those 5 watts Smiley Man, this is what I have learned from you! If I am not right, please correct me by suggesting better settings. I would love to squeeze max out of my SP10s.

Thanks!

What do I do is, letting them self calibrate, then I get the minimum values from ASIC stats, and have them as starting values individually per miner. So next time I need to restart them, they start hashing higher and calibrate faster. Here are my individual voltage settings per miner:

101 - Top_min 0.682 || Bmin 0.682 ||| max 0.750
102 - Top_min 0.680 || Bmin 0.680 ||| max 0.750
103 - Top_min 0.666 || Bmin 0.677 ||| max 0.750
104 - Top_min 0.661 || Bmin 0.658 ||| max 0.750
105 - Top_min 0.653 || Bmin 0.674 ||| max 0.750
106 - Top_min 0.680 || Bmin 0.680 ||| max 0.750
107 - Top_min 0.682 || Bmin 0.680 ||| max 0.750
108 - Top_min 0.666 || Bmin 0.693 ||| max 0.750

FANS: 90% || DC2DC: 62 || MAX Power: 1260

Oh, if that is SP10 then you are right.
On SP30 you should let the miner find the optimal spot by calibration.

I think this is very sad.   Manufacturers need to 'man up' and take care of con and kano.

They probably get free stuff  once in a while and plus they were in the bitcoin game alot earlier than most enough with the pity parade they probable have a decent BTC portfolio.  I write open source software myself and I never expect a handout I do it in my spare time because I like to code..  and ..

most of the code i write and sometimes make money off of is stuff I needed for myself anyways and just decided to share it since it solves a problem for me and others if they didn't do it someone else would have.

they do good work yes but come on now
