Agreed, because the democrats will use everything in their machinery and all of their tactics, maneuverings to manipulate the monetary policy to cause the recession to occur after the election. Have you watched the Big Short? The banking crisis in America was noticed already by dr. Burry and other traders since 2005, however, the recession and bubble burst occurred on 2008. This will be certainly something similar to the present occurrences in their economy hehehe.
Funny, i don't think you got the plot of Big Short, but let's take a closer look at that then:
Events in that film happened because of loose regulation for private financial entities. As because of lack of regulations lenders were able to give adjustable-rate mortgages to anyone without decent credit score.
They knew that borrowers won't be able to pay them back, when they later raise the rates or sell these those loans to large investors as "mortgage-backed securities". But as there were making money and there weren't laws against it, they didn't care.
That how it started. And ironically that is something republicans traditionally want: Less regulatory oversight.
President during that time (2001 to 2009) was George W. Bush, so by your logic, that's "certainly" what will republicans do again.
Of course it's more complex than that, but considering what you wrote, i felt i needed to keep it short.
