Trump was known in 2016 via TV appearances, that was the problem for some that though he had no background in any normal related industry but he did have alot of opinions and this position of power in appearance as a CEO and TV star.   Trump wont be leaving the country unless you also believe he could receive a harsh sentence, I dont think he will or he would be pardoned after to make it short.   In any case he is in his later years, its highly inadvisable to make any attempt to evade charges.    That fortune is based in Dollars if not also USA, its basically under USA control wherever the person might reside.

The biggest question for election outcome will be economy based, the rest of it is a circus sideshow as is more often the case in a Presidential term reelection vote.

Usually, the court imposes travel bans on individuals facing serious charges, irrespective of their stature or acclaim. I saw it , though I would be rather skeptical on polls specially if come from CNN, which is a media that has lost much of its credibility these last years, and they even know about it.

Actually, the fact they held townhalls for Trump and Republican nominees was a futile attempt to recover some audience, that backfired terribly. If there is something we learnt from the past mid-term elections in the United States (when the polls anticipated a "Red wave") is that the polling can be quite inaccurate and do not reflect the feelings of the whole population at all.

It is just better to take a look at all the polls (from the left, right a center) so we can build ourselves an average approximation on reality.

Well i expect Trump to raise more performance in his own way if he truly want something different and a little more higher than this, we can see how Biden is leading already ad I just wish he maintain this till the last minutes of the election because we may not be able to precisely concluded as well on Biden outward performance till the last day, but as for those gambling, there will be high odds on these two candidates even as we all know that Biden has the highest bids for now.

I think it is not about uniting behind DeSantis, but more like about how people are giving up hope about Trump. It is obvious that he did commit some crimes, and people are not sure if they want to vote for him or even could vote for him. He could be in prison by the time he should be campaigning, we do not know how quickly or late it will be, maybe it will take nearly nothing, maybe it will be fine, but at the end of the day it is not going to be simple.

So that is why I think it should be considered as an option to just consider it as a possibility. This caused people to be unsure about betting on Trump, if they did, then it would be a terrible idea to vote for a criminal. They want to wait and see what happens with the court first.

The 2024 POTUS elections are going to be really interesting. Voters from both sides of the political spectrum are going to vote for a candidate not because they like them, but because they dislike the other candidate more. And regarding the charges that Trump is facing, I am not very sure. If someone from the Democrat party was in his place, then in all probability there will be no charges at all. Bill Clinton sexually abused several women while being the POTUS, and yet he never spent a single day behind bars. There seems to be different set of rules for different people within the United States.

I think most of the latest elections have been like that in a way.

Basically people voting for "the other" candidate because they simply dislike the alternative, instead of voting for specific people.

It's a divided country, and every year it gets more and more polarized. I hope they can see some sense from the other side because at the end of the day there are more similarities than differences.

Agreed. However, if Trump wins against the lawsuits made against him, I am quite certain Trump would be ahead of sleepy Joe in the polls. What the Democrats are doing to Trump, they are making him a martyr. This is the effect if they keep on persecuting him politically.

Trump's odds to become the next president are also not that far behind from Biden. I do not know how or when his case ends but if he is proven innocent and if he is allowed to run for president, it might be a landslide victory for the Donald. No nation should ever have a presidential candidate that is a convicted fellon, plus not something they did as a president for sure. If a person did something that makes them a criminal due to a crime committed thanks to being a president, that is a historical problem. I am not saying he is guilty, nor am I saying he is innocent, I am saying in both cases this is terrible. If he is guilty, you guys have a president who used his presidency to commit a crime, if he is innocent then you have a president who is being scapegoated, there is no "fine" result in the end, one way or another, its terrible.

These numbers may be somewhat encouraging for DeSantis, as he can claim that he is still in >20% mark. However the same poll for POTUS election put Biden ahead of Trump by 4 points (45-49).

This is quite surprising to me to see that Donald trump has little chances of winning. I don't think so because Donald was once the president of the United States and during his time life was easy and the US economy was cool and even has reserves. Now that Biden is the president, minimum wage had increased many times making life more harder to those who can not afford food and other basic amenities. The Biden regime is never funny at all and it is leading the United States into world war that could destroy the world. This next election that is coming up, Donald has high chances of becoming the president.

Would he ask his supporters to boycott the elections (which is a very stupid move in my opinion), or will he nominate someone else such as Ivanka in his place? Trump is so unpredictable and I really can't predict what he will do if something like that happens. If he goes for the first option, then there will be massive civil unrest in the United States, because a significant share of the population are still loyal to Trump.

I hate people that are so consumed by power, that's what Trump has been doing ever since he lost the second term in his election because he was incompetent but he is ashame to admit that, his ego wouldn't let the government do his job, and his supporters are consume by hate even when they knew he is an opportunist and a manipulator but I love the fact that Biden government have calm his nerves with the atrocities he has done throughout his life, anything that will make him stay away from that power is a welcome change because I can't stand all those insults he has made throughout his tenure.

What should be done when the DOJ discovers that the former president has dozens of boxes of documents including some at the most classified level  containing nuclear secrets, military intelligence on both domestic and foreign countries and other information that puts human sources abroad and the national security at risk?

They should ask for them back, right?

They did.  If he would have given them back, he wouldn't be facing criminal charges.

What should they do when a year later, he still has boxes and boxes of documents that pose a serious risk to human sources abroad and national security in general?

Is it wrong for them to subpoena the documents after presenting the evidence to a grand jury?

And what if after the subpoena, which was signed off on by a federal judge and voted on by a grand jury, he lies and says he gave them all back, but really he only gives back some, and keeps dozens of documents that contain nuclear/military/human source information that's classified at the highest level.  If Trump would have just complied with the subpoena, or asked a judge to review it in court, he wouldn't be facing criminal charges.

What should the DOJ do when their investigation turns up all these text messages and audio recordings of Trump hiding these documents from the Government, tricking his own lawyers into signing sworn statements about the documents that he knew were not true, and showing classified war plans to the media and people who work for him?  He is literally putting American Military and intelligence agents lives at risk.

How does the DOJ have any choice but to indict him?

If you strip all the politics out of the case you have a man that betrayed his country, and broke tons of laws while doing so.  As far as the parties involved, the politics are all coming from Trump, not the White House, not the DOJ, not the FBI, not the Special Prosecutor, just Trump and his legal team.  That's because he has no argument when you just look at the facts.  All he has is rhetoric.

The more they try hurting Trump and indict him with all sorts of lawsuits, people see it already that Biden's people are behind it and trying to remove him out to not run for POTUS.
People gather for Trump and not for Biden as they see how corrupt Biden is than Trump. The lesser evil I guess is much preferred and nothing replaces Trump to be the first choice in line.
