But during his term, the economy was doing really good, jobs were being created at a record pace, and federal debt was under control. Once Biden took over, the economy went on a downfall. And now he can't even blame the COVID pandemic for the lack of economic growth.

America has suffered the most from the current government. The country was doing well under Donald Trump and had friendly relations with Russia at that time. Since Biden got power, various kinds of debates have started. Today, if the current President Joe Biden did not instigate this war, the economic situation would not be so devalued. The outcome of the 2024 US presidential election will determine which way global economic and political conditions will move.

I am 90% sure that the next POTUS elections will be between Trump and Biden. In the United States, they have a two party system and it is not going to change for the next 100 years or so. The only chance of having a candidate other that these two will occur if there is some upset during the primary elections. But so far, opinion polls indicate that both Biden and Trump are having more than 60% support from within their own respective political parties. Both Ron DeSantis (GOP) and Robert Kennedy Jr. (Dems) are polling far below the two main candidates in various opinion polls.

Yes, from what I saw the other day that's how it is. Unless things change a lot, the next presidential election will be between Trump and Biden. There is also speculation that DeSantis might join Trump as vice-president, so, if Republicans win, since Trump would be term-limited to only one term, the natural candidate in the next presidential election would be DeSantis. I am not sure whether it is a viable scenario. There is a lot of bad blood between Trump and DeSantis at the moment. Trump has criticized all those who are planning to participate in the GOP primaries, including DeSantis. And Trump is not someone who will tolerate an independent voice such as DeSantis in his administration. He wants someone who is subordinate and DeSantis is unsuitable for that role. Anyway, Trump doesn't need DeSantis. The latter is not polling good numbers, and unless that change sometime soon Trump is not going to take him seriously.

I don't agree with you. Medical care may keep Trump in good spirits till 2028 if he wins in 2024. But I don't have the same opinion about Biden. Already he is suffering from medical issues such as dementia (despite the best medical care being made available for him). Things are going to be much worse by 2028. But for the Democrats it should not matter much. It looks as if Nancy Pelosi and Kamala Harris are the decision makers in this administration and Biden is just a mask. If the American public want this to continue, then they can go for Biden during the 2024 POTUS elections.

That is what matters because we are discussing betting here. The things that you said above, like Biden suffering from dementia and "Biden is just a mask", things taken from some tabloids or Russian propaganda, those things don't matter much here, do they?

I mean, if you can provide a reliable source on dementia, please do, it would be kinda relevant. But please do not quote imbeciles like Joe Rogan here. Those aren't reliable sources, okay?

Even if it is true or not, we are talking about betting which means that we only care about who will win, and these propaganda sources will be used during the election campaign period. It means that it can be fully a lie, and he might be healthy, and just suffer stuttering like said, that means we are going to still see Trump end up talking about this and we need to consider if this will be a reality or impact the result or not.

So the question is, will the "Biden has dementia" type of thing actually change the result or not? If it doesn't change anything, then it means nothing and doesn't matter to us. However, if it will change the result or at least impact it a bit then we are going to end up talking about a lot more and will matter very much so.

Politics is politics, I think it is not impossible to see DeSantis as his running mate. We have never seen any politician that has strong spine before, from no party, in no nation. All over the world politicians are known for attacking each other one moment, then getting together to win in another moment.

There are some people who like DeSantis, and there are more people who like Trump, which means that if they get together then they could get a lot more votes. Seeing this, they will try to be each others opponents, but then if they could get to a meeting and talk about this, then they will realize, no matter how much they may dislike each other, they could just get together and win. You think Pence liked Trump? Of course not, but it worked better for both.

Even if he is in the race, at this point I doubt he will win. He has embarrassed himself too often in the past. I doubt that he will win. So my money is not going to be on him.

The american people probably see Biden as the only choice, especially now that with the fact that its too dangerous to change the international political route (concerning the war in Ukraine) Biden has put the USA on. Trump would do a 180. If Ukraine lost the support of the US, that would be total chaos.

Many of the establishment Republicans are even scared of announcing their support for DeSantis, because in that case Trump will support primary candidates against them. Anyway, he has some calculations in his mind and that is the reason he finally announced his candidature. And additional funding from the donors is not going to change anything. It is true that some people may dislike each other and still work together when they need to win. Unfortunately there is this "everything goes when its power" situation all over the world, not just in USA but everywhere. Because the options are this; either you lose with honor, or you win and rule your nation for a few years by doing a dishonorable thing.

I am personally quite skeptical on the status of Trump as a billionaire, my reason is the fact he (for some reason) continues to brand his image in form of NFTs, personal meetings and souvenirs for the purpose of getting more money. He is either not an actual billionaire or just likes to get money out his political base.

Also, I agree on your points on DeSantis, some donors may have been waited for him to formally announce to see whether his polling improved in order to evaluate whether he was worth some support. Unfortunately for him, it seems that the announce did not help at all.

At this point I am almost certain I won't bet a penny in DeSantis favor.

In my personal point of view, using Twitter as political platform as a mistake by De Santis. He may think he can avoid getting attacked in a frontal way by Trump if he avoid establishment media but that will be proven to be ineffective in the long run, Trump is already unbanned from Twitter after all.

I also find weird Tucker Carlson, from all the options he had to continue his show, he decided to go for Twitter. They are probably attracted to the anti-established aura that Twitter is lately giving off. I do not know. Well... DeSantis had nothing to lose and therefore he went for Twitter to officially announce his presidential bid. The conservative media outlets such as Fox News are already supporting Trump and have refused to give much coverage for DeSantis (and that is not going to change unless he can prove that he can shore up support among the Republican voters). The latest poll released by LA Times/Berkeley IGS for the 2024 California Republican Presidential Primary shows just 18% support for DeSantis (as opposed to 44% for Trump and 4% each for Pence and Cheney).

The odds have changed drastically over the past few months. A couple of months back, Trump was having much more favorable odds when compared to Biden. But now he seems to have fallen behind. This has to do something with Ron DeSantis announcing his candidacy last week. None of the opinion polls are having DeSantis with more than 20% of the support for GOP primaries. But the sportsbooks maybe assuming that he will be able to consolidate the anti-Trump section within the GOP in the coming months. And at the same time, Biden doesn't face any challenge within the Democrat Party.

Well, it's a bit both isn't it? I mean it's a betting topic, but also the betting is about politics, which means that anything any politician does impacts the odds as well. Trump has overcome worse odds and won before so I would agree that betting on him could make sense.

I still think that Biden will win, so when you bet on Biden at 2.40 and Trump at 3.15, you are making profit one way or another, I have not seen these odds, wherever they are, people should bet on them. I do not think that anyone else would win, those are the two candidates and they will win, so if you end up betting 1k into those, that means 2k total bet for both, and that means you are making 400 bucks profit with Biden or 1.15k profit with Trump, both works, I think that's the smart way to go.
