Your judging too much on views which are political, the bet itself is not about that.   The best money placed will be on the candidate underestimated, its entirely possible Trump has odds which favor him too much.  I think its quite possible he is only entering the running as a defense against prosecution because of the implications of preventing democratic process from proceeding for relatively minor legal questions, at the moment it looks petty to prosecute and if anything he is using it to draw support as a person under unfair persecution instead.  
  Trump administration was heavily apprehensive about China in the weeks and months prior to the election, it was a major strut of their campaign to shut down the light rein on China as a threat to possibly global peace.  A common enemy unites, it was a fair theme to proceed with.   Some of the policies put into play are fair to continue regardless of the party in power at that time because its true to some extent China represents a threat overt and covert.  
  The only real guidance to a bet imo is the economy, people may recognize China as a story or not.  Mostly people care about their wallet more then any other story and its a universal theme which cuts right across the political divide, class divide all voters can be swayed by this issue.  So thats the story I follow, China or Russia or whoever is just a maybe in the perceptions of voters to judge a candidates success by but money talks.

Well, let us see how polls behave once Trump is indicted on Tuesday (who himself has already declared is going to happen).
I suspect this will be first of multiple indictments that are going to follow and for even more serious charges which may have to do with January 6th and the classified documents he had in his home in Florida.

My prediction is that polls will turn even more in Trump's favor once he steps into court. He likes to fight, so does his base.

I wonder if there's somewhere where you could bet if Trump goes to jail or not, or gets indicted or not, etc.

You can basically bet on everything these days, so he mentioned it could happen on Tuesday, we'll have to wait and see if it happens. Wonder what the odds for that are...

Perhaps on some website specialized in bets driven by the community, like Futur. But I do not know, do you own research.
Even if you found some place on where you can bet on Trump getting in jail or not; Mr. Trump is still an unreliable source of information and it would be awkward for a casino to set an event for people to bet, only based on his Truth Social statements.

If you feel like betting in relatively short-term political events, you can seek for bets on De Santis running or not. The odds may be very inclined on him running for president, though, for the reasons I have already talked about.

I am not entirely sure if Trump would be in jail, seems unlikely that former president of USA ending up in jail, that feels like a bit of an overreaction considering the global chaos that could cause, I mean all the nations that dealt with USA during his term could say "we made this deal when a jailed president was in charge" and that could create a bit of a trouble.

However, I am pretty sure he would not be allowed to run as the worst case, not saying he won't be able to, maybe he will be allowed, I am saying that is by far the worst thing that they will ever do, and that is why we shouldn't expect him to end up in jail, not now, not ever.

This is what I'm totally agree with you on. It was just a miracle that things didn't turn out much worse. The attack on the United States Capitol, I mean. In a less Democratic country Trump would go to jail for his contribution to that. But unfortunately many Americans, I feel like almost half of them, but I would be happy to be wrong about this, many Americans support Republicans. And among Republicans around 60% want see Donald Trump as the president.

Not sure about the percentage, but one thing is certain is that most Americans put their blame on the camp of Donald Trump about the violence that takes place on the attack on the Capitol. Though the rioters create the huge mess, but Trump should be accountable why the attack happened. I have to agree that in a less democratic country, Trump should go to jail and pay the consequences of his action. But Trump eventually overcome the issue, because he can control the government because of his power.

I don't think either of them will go to jail because they both have tremendous influence in the political arena. I don't know about Trump, but I heard that Putin has several doppelgangers (I can't be 100% sure, but it is possible for security purposes) and I think that even if he is arrested, it will be a doppelganger, and the real Putin will be safe for the rest of his life.

But if I have to choose between the two, I would choose Trump.

It would be interesting to see if any country actually acts on that and tries to jail Putin. The retaliation from Russia would be incredible to say the least I think.

So, in a way, I don't think Putin will be jailed. On the other hand, Trump is dealt with his own country, so maybe that has more chances of happening. Probably might end up in a civil war though. Who knows.

So in case Putin travels to allied countries such as Venezuela and Nicaragua, is there a chance that NATO aircraft would try to intercept his flight and arrest him over international waters? That would start the WW3, and will do a great service to this planet by wiping out 90% of the human population. In case Trump gets arrested, the reaction would me much more mild. At the most, he may ask his supporters to back Ivanka as the POTUS nominee for 2024. Anyway, I would prefer Ivanka as the GOP POTUS nominee over Trump. In fact, anyone else would be better than Donald Trump, even Kanye West.

I agree that Trump had a hand in that and that's a big problem, but we need to also see Americans somehow make a big example out of these people to make sure that nothing like that ever happens again. Think about it, if the school shooting thing became so popular, and because of that we have seen so many people shoot up the schools, and it is not like the last one was too long ago, it keeps happening again and again, can you imagine this becoming a norm after every election?

I do not see democrats ever rushing the capitol, but republicans may lose next time as well and what if they do that again? Is there a guarantee they won't? There needs to be some way to protect next time not to even let it go this far. We all know if it was all black people that rushed, they wouldn't even get in, but because it was republicans, they even murdered a cop and still got inside so further in.

I think the main difference is that in the case of Putin you have an external country doing the arrest, so there would be a clear rivalry between countries (and alliances).

In the case of Trump it would be a single country involved, the US, but of course the US is completely divided, so that might spark a civil war in there.

I would still prefer a civil war over nuclear war at any time of the day. Here in India, there will be hardly any impact if the pro-Trump and anti-Trump factions fight against each other in the US. However, a nuclear war would mean the following:

1. Fiat currency getting worthless
2. Stock markets crashing by 95% or more
3. Collapse of governments (replaced by military dictatorships)
4. Multiple countries launching territorial invasions against their neighbors
5. Young people forcibly drafted to the army
6. Wealth seizure by the authorities
7. Collapse of education and medicare sector
8. Sky high inflation
9. Lack of essential supplies
10. Complete collapse of law and order

The thing about arresting Putin is that if there is a conspiracy behind his back, if there is this "attempt" then we could see Putin get arrested by some other nations, and then suddenly back in Russia they could turn the narrative around and say that Putin was the reason for all their troubles and all their misery and now that he is gone they could go back to living a better life. Not that it will ever happen, but that could be the only reason why west would even consider it.

Aside from that, I think it will be simply Putin not participating in anything big, or traveling in those nations, he would be just simply rejected, and nobody in their right mind would force his way in a place he is rejected. Even if you are Putin, you wouldn't want to be humiliated like that, so you wouldn't do it.

Obviously Mr. Trump has many more chances on stepping into the jail than Putin does, realistically, all Putin has to do is to remain inside his country and nothing will ever happen to him in the coming years.

On the other hand, Mr.Trump cannot flee anywhere and still expect to have access to his money and properties or live  in a developed country.
And Trump has more investigations on him (and more serious ones) than Putin.

So my bet would be that Trump going to face legal consequences before Putin.

Two banks have already collapsed (Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank), and there is a very good chance of an economic meltdown in the next 6 months.

All this drama surrounding Trump is just another attempt to shift attention away from the deteriorating economic situation. Yesterday, US central bank increased the interest rates by another 0.25%, and we can expect a sharp increase in the inflation rate (which is already in double digits). In the United Kingdom, the inflation rate has touched 10.4%, as per the Bank of England. Two banks have already collapsed (Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank), and there is a very good chance of an economic meltdown in the next 6 months.

You should also check the stuff that seems to be going on with the Deutsche Bank in Germany, there are people already talking about a collapse and perhaps the need of a bailout.

I think this is not a distraction or something, I believe Trump made a master move by announcing his possible arrest in his bootleg social media, because thanks to it, he has already crowdfunded over 1.5 million dollars in just three days. what a way to get free money off his supporters, if you asked me.

Harvard-Harris has released latest polls for the 2024 elections. For the Republican Presidential Nomination, Trump has widened his led over DeSantis, by a 50-24 margin. Pence and Haley are far behind. As far as the Democratic Presidential Nomination is concerned, Joe Biden is far ahead with 41% support, followed by Kamala Harris at 11% and Sanders at 7%. Interestingly, nationwide polls show that Biden trails Trump by a 4 percent margin (41% vs 45%). For DeSantis, the advantage is 3%. When Trump is against Kamala, the margin rises to +10%.

That may work in different ways, depending on the circumstances. But at this point, there is a lot of anger against Biden due to high inflation and faltering economy. And all the negative publicity for Trump may work in to his advantage because of this fact. Already opinion polls are putting Trump ahead of Biden by 4%. Remember that he never enjoyed this advantage before, even during the peak of his campaigning in 2016 and 2020. Even in the 2016 POTUS election, he trailed Hillary Clinton by 2.1% vote. This is the first time that polls are showing him significantly ahead in nation-wide vote.
