It has been stablished by polls lately that Trump would do very good on the Republican primaries, but DeSantis seems to have more chances to defeat Biden than Trump does. If Trump gets the Republican nomination and ends up losing to Biden again, I would expect him to claim fraud again, he may even claim fraud before the election itself takes place.

I hope this is not the case. What a ridiculous and generally bad example for democracy in a country that everyone looks up to.

So the Republicans' most likely candidate is the least likely to win the presidency. I am not surprised. I understand that Trump can mobilise more votes against him from the undecided or people of Democratic leanings who might otherwise stay home because they are not entirely happy with Biden's performance.

I don't agree with the argument that DeSantis has a better chance to win. He maybe more preferred by the moderate voters, but then hardcore Trump supporters may not vote for him and may sit at home. If GOP has an upper hand, then either of the two candidates should win. Else it doesn't matter. Anyway, the Republicans are so far ahead in most of the opinion polls for the 2024 POTUS elections. If the Republicans lose out in 2024, it will not be due to anything from the Democrats, but only due to infighting among the Republicans.   

He does have a better chance to win in the mindset that Democrats would not go to vote in that case. Think about it this way, DeSantis would get 60 million votes maybe, but Biden would get 58 against him, whereas Trump may get 65 million votes, more than DeSantis, but then Biden would get 70 million.

As you can see it's not about how much Biden would get, it's about how much democrats would go out to vote against that type of person. Trump would ignite republicans to vote for him without a doubt, but also he would ignite democrats to end up voting for Biden as well, that would be the key. I feel like it's going to end up being a little different and I feel like it's going to take a while before they get used to it as well but that could work.

Considering Kennedy is an anti-vaxxer, I really really hope that he will not be allowed to speak. I mean I do not want him to be nominated of course, but not only not nominated, I also do not want him to speak because he would have a place to voice his anti-vaxx approach to everyone.

We are seeing now people who refuse to acknowledge how helpful vaccination is and how it helps us all as society, and Trump knowing this he does not try to correct them, he avoids the topic.

What would happen in the future when the coming generations who grew up in an anti-vaccine home refuse to immunize themselves and their children? Pandemics would become more deadly, I am afraid.

I understand that in many occasions politics is about dealing with hypocrisy and contradictions, but to me Trump (while he indeed seems to be good enough at preserving himself politically) is bad a preserving himself to stay out of legal problems. My first take on those odds would be that Biden as the standing president is very good value to renew as a bet for this election also.   I guess the figure is high also because he has not won the nomination yet but I see no reason to have great doubts.  I do wonder what happens if he is excluded for health reasons which is always possible and more probable the further out we are, does that cancel the bet or qualify as a loss.

I have read about the donations he has received this year and I recall reading on an article that he has managed to gather only in this year almost 35 million dollars. I came across this on oddschecker.com. Despite having twice as many bets as Joe Biden the odds are still against Trump. There is not any details as to how they compiled this data but i can assume that there are some whales that are moving the odds toward Biden. Maybe Trump voters aren't confident in their candidate and are only making small bets for him. Once there is more clarity regarding Trump's legal problems we could see the odds begin to narrow.

It would imply that "soft Republicans" or moderate Republicans would rather not to vote for Trump or even vote for Biden if Trump gets the nomination, which is reasonable, sometimes people forget that there are voters which change their political views depending on what the candidate offers in the campaign, they are closer to the political centers than the extremes.

And what if after the subpoena, which was signed off on by a federal judge and voted on by a grand jury, he lies and says he gave them all back, but really he only gives back some, and keeps dozens of documents that contain nuclear/military/human source information that's classified at the highest level.  If Trump would have just complied with the subpoena, or asked a judge to review it in court, he wouldn't be facing criminal charges.

What should the DOJ do when their investigation turns up all these text messages and audio recordings of Trump hiding these documents from the Government, tricking his own lawyers into signing sworn statements about the documents that he knew were not true, and showing classified war plans to the media and people who work for him?  He is literally putting American Military and intelligence agents lives at risk.

If you strip all the politics out of the case you have a man that betrayed his country, and broke tons of laws while doing so.  As far as the parties involved, the politics are all coming from Trump, not the White House, not the DOJ, not the FBI, not the Special Prosecutor, just Trump and his legal team.  That's because he has no argument when you just look at the facts.  All he has is rhetoric.  

Well, what you say is very true, sometimes the media only publish or imply that the news or what is real is what they say, I believe that many times the media are manipulated (we all know that), it may be that some things are true and others hide them, what matters here is that there will always be a kind of polarization with what is thought of each of the candidates , I don't know what the situation is like in the USA, because I don't live there, I just listen its economic indices and some other news, and consequently I issue an opinion , also the statements of some of the cantdat¿dots that are quite evident.

And what if after the subpoena, which was signed off on by a federal judge and voted on by a grand jury, he lies and says he gave them all back, but really he only gives back some, and keeps dozens of documents that contain nuclear/military/human source information that's classified at the highest level.  If Trump would have just complied with the subpoena, or asked a judge to review it in court, he wouldn't be facing criminal charges.

What should the DOJ do when their investigation turns up all these text messages and audio recordings of Trump hiding these documents from the Government, tricking his own lawyers into signing sworn statements about the documents that he knew were not true, and showing classified war plans to the media and people who work for him?  He is literally putting American Military and intelligence agents lives at risk.

How does the DOJ have any choice but to indict him?

If you strip all the politics out of the case you have a man that betrayed his country, and broke tons of laws while doing so.  As far as the parties involved, the politics are all coming from Trump, not the White House, not the DOJ, not the FBI, not the Special Prosecutor, just Trump and his legal team.  That's because he has no argument when you just look at the facts.  All he has is rhetoric.
