for your bug delete blockchain and sync again (or use downloable blockchain to reduce sync time)

its a rare bug that will be solved in next wallet release

Hard work pays off.

We are cooperating with a trusted pool operator who is kind enough to support the coin with his skill set, time and resources.

Something good is going to be born out of it. Smiley

So your saying you got someone who knows how to actually code?  Thought you had a full time coder.  Don't get me wrong, I'm being blunt with you guys because I want the coin to be successful, I've mined it for a long time off and on.

You don't need another fanboi saying OMG I'm mining.  You need to know the truths about what our perception of you is, so you can learn and grow from it.

Your comment might be sarcastic and witty but it's most of all an ignorant one. Coding for mining pools and the coin are separate things. We have full time coin code coder, who knows how to do both things anyway, but is now fully preoccupied with optimisation of the client's internals. Comments like yours are not helpful at all and for the sake of the coin which you say support please be a bit more thoughtful when expressing your opinion.
Whatever people's opinions or perceptions of us are, we are going to do our job no matter what. Any input is valuable, but can be done in less 'blunt' and more constructive way.

There were (and still are) plenty of people working on stratum implementation. The problem is that old Diamond Coin code in conjunction with Grostl is a non standard combo and the pool software is not there yet.

If I may recommend, this thread needs some more proactive and serious moderation. As much as people have the right to their own opinion it's in your own benefit to also make sure that your image is kept up to standards. Also it makes the reading easier for anyone coming. Who wants to go through 50 pages of bla bla bla?

I read all 50 pages so to be sure I was not talking nonsense and also to shut the mouth of those who think they know it all. However what I have seen is that some people have legitimate concerns and not all are addressed in a way that shows that the devs/admins have appreciated how those are important. Perhaps those concerns are addressed behind the scene, but answers given don't give much confidence (all the time). I am not dismissing the work the DMD team is putting into this, but I believe a better quality PR would benefit the coin even if the coin is not yet ready for pool mining. I would rather wait for something good, NONETHELESS I want to make sure I am waiting for a good reason! Feel me?

Instead of replying to each comment from users and sending funny pictures here an there, it would be better to add updated and meaningful information in the OP so that it is easier to find. Only respond to what is really required and essential. Being the admins of this thread you can easily remove posts. I would be you I would have already removed quite a few.

Also, I have come to understand that the CVO is not a native English speaker. Absolutely nothing wrong with that except that this is an international website and the implicit/explicit language is English. Therefore standard should be kept high. Since we don't have you physically in front of us, the first thing that people will see are your words and they will judge you on that (as I have already seen it). I'm not a native English speaker myself but I do an effort in making sure spelling and punctuation is as good as possible so to reflect a good image. The CEO on the other hand seems to be writing fine.

As I mentioned earlier I personally would also like to see (sooner rather than later) a profile of each team members involved in this project. Background and pictures and any information that is necessary for people to give you their trust. It gives people something to hang on to. Like anyone, I also want to make sure we are dealing with competent people. That's for me the least. At the end what also matter is perceverance.

Finally, what makes a coin last is not how strong or secure the code is. It’s the community behind it and how people decide to trust it. Simply look at Bitcoin and Dogecoin; two very different coins with flaws, but the biggest communities of all coins. That's how they thrive.

Keep it tight.

I think you make a lot of good points. I don't think everything is being done as best as it can, but what is? They're trying their best, but we'll see if their best is good enough, right?
