Hi barabbas. Not the same without you.

Much funnier on Pay-per-View, but not enough people want to see the show.

Even though I accept Vericoin (without card)... go figure...

This request for a "moderated forum" is as absurd as the demential cheerleading ... and, peculiarly enough, by the same usual suspects... They have had Veritalk for a long time, fully available. They have reddit. They have the orgiastically cheerleading (and fully censored) IRC channel but, hey, they still want yet another thread. In actuality what they want is a censored place, one more, where no voices of dissension are ever heard. I'd say go for it: It is very, veri easy: Just create the damned thread, moderate is as much as you want and get done with it. I mean you are quite pathetic already but if you want to be even more... Get it through your thick and idiotic skull: No one, but a half dozen altogether, will ever go to those stupid places, ok? You want you coin dead? Just close this thread... or, to be more precise, follow in the footsteps -as in so many thin gs- the Blackcoin example: They have "flourished" indeed, since they opted to close the non moderated thread. But hey, you are dying to commit harakiri anyway so be my guests...

THE VERICARD POOF...

As I had anticipated since the get go, the "secret weapon" (still nothing about the plural announced by Stooge #1), has turned to be a "poof", a queer fart of no relevance whatsoever.

OK, it is following in the tracks of Blackcoin, again and, like BC, condemned to be a huge failure.

Some here have pointed out that it is a step towards mass adoption... No it isn't. Mass adoption, as clearly pointed out in my raw flyer for WVD, passes by presenting any and ALL forms of credit cards, as the bad guys along with the banks. Jane and Joe Sixpacks would be piqued by Vericoin PRECISELY, because it is the OPPOSITE, direct OPPOSITE of banks and credit cards, not an enabler.

I dont give a flying fuck if someone has sold the Stooges on the idea that it will "make it easier" for average people to use crypto currency. Average people will never use crypto currency because it is easy to use -which is not to say it has to be complicated, mind you-, they will use it, paraphrasing Anthony Quinn in Lawrence of Arabia, "because it is their pleasure" and will to do so. Because they want to circumvent the banks and their credit cards, NEVER, EVER, because they want to make them fatter... as well as Coinsis or whatever the name of that intermediary is. The WHOLE purpose, the whole selling point is to eliminate, precisely, those parasites, the intermediaries. Jane and Joe Sixpacks understand VERY CLEARLY, that if they don't use intermediaries they don't have to pay for their offices and the multi millions in salaries their executives get. Both Jane and Joe get that immediately. From their wallet straight to the merchant or the friend or family member they want to gift across the planet. THAT is EASY. This is BULL SHIT. Again. No one will ever use it, no one. Just like no one uses Coinkite or will ever use Moolah. The whole PURPOSE of crypto is absurdly diluted here. The whole thing couldn't be simpler: From my wallet to whoever I want, merchant or partner, direct, immediate and without any (or almost) cost. Period. Nothing more, nothing less. Joe and Jane will GET IT, no question about it. Just like they smell bull shit in ratios of miles, like this "deal" is.

Now, UK doesn't "get it" either when we talk about "mass adoption". He's quite right when he states that mass adoption is a pipe dream. It is. It will continue being, even for BTC, as long as the volatility is so brutal. Makes perfect sense: Businesses, of practically ANY size, but obviously the smaller the less, cannot afford such volatility. So ANY adoption will necessarily pass through the cryptocurrency of choice being converted to fiat IMMEDIATELY. That's not adoption! That's another form of using intermediaries (and paying for them) regardless how you want to call them. So the barrier is not just BTC, the barrier is the PRICE of the coin. And as long as that price is not reasonable stable, no merchant will ever operate in crypto. They may accept it as payment, just like they accept VISA or Amex, but charging for it what those companies charge them (3-3.5% or more). In crypto they will charge whatever they are charged for the immediate conversion to fiat. What are they  after -Coinsis and the merchants that accept crypto, along with the dozens of other intermediaries? they just want to tap, as paying customers, the community of dickheads in crypto, those idiots bent on using their coins to buy stuff believing they are opposing the system when, in reality, they are making it fatter, paying even bigger fees to a new horde of centralized intermediaries who, like the established ones, just want to suck them dry.

Mass adoption, passes through, first, MASS AWARENESS. And then, price stabilization. That is coming very soon when people will be able to short BTC (and others, eventually) through derivatives, just like in the rest of the markets. It is coming VERY SOON. Along with regulation. Those coins positioning themselves as the good guys, will survive. Those playing for the bad guys, probably too, I don't know but if their tech continue advancing like until now, they stand a chance to be ahead of the feds. But the good guys will eventually cross over when their gains -and losses- will be no more than 5-10% at a time (cycle), not before.

And guess what? Those surviving -and thriving-, will be the ones that GET IT, not the ones that cater to the credit card lobby.

So the Vericard, pretty much like the rest of the "features" is an exercise in nothingness. Nothing bad but certainly nothing that's any good. Vericoin was much better without it... except that it was, and remains, a helmless ship, totally at the mercy of capricious winds and without path or purpose.

This time I have to agree. There will be plenty of fees.
1.for the exchange
2.for the transaction
3.for the card issuer

Did I forget some?

All of this to feed the banks. What is not the purpose of digital currency.

Hey you are also Buy4Crypto or are you 2 different people? Sorry if i'm confused and not trying to offend if your not.

I can answer that for you. I am myself, not 1 alias other than buy4crypto here, or on any media. I can say the same on twitter, and every other place I post socially. I just wokeup so not much time to read over the thread yet. I am not a person who plays games with people, I try to help people out to be successful. So this is Buy4crypto, and what I am about.

If you judge your success / happiness on the money you have in your pocket, you will always want more, and greed will overshadow good business intentions. Most people think you are successful by how much money you have at that moment. They will never trully understand what it is to lead people and be great. That is okay, the world needs followers to. To lead this industry though, we need leaders from the top, down. Not incapability. I have been trying to make this coin a success since near the time of launch, but many people wish to make short term gains a priority, over long term, sustainable growth.

I have been a leader in sports, in business, investments and in pretty much everything I do. I will not mold to a certain way to be what someone else wants. I have always been a leader since I was young. I led my own path, from dropping out of highschool to pursue business, to not having worked a single day for someone else in over 6 years now, In my life I have put in maybe 6 months of work for someone else's dream when I was younger. It is my dream, and destiny to create value in virtual currencies. If you understand my background you would see I am uniquely qualified in this field. I have been very involved with virtual currency sales from first virtual currencies that came out 10's of years before bitcoin, or any other current crypto currency.

This coin was supposed to separate itself from the long line of PnD, and scams that crypto has become. But when you have some previous scam coins that don't even try to pump the coinsis deals they also signed like our devs that is extremely telling. VeriCoin doesn't seem to have any clear advantage from a developer / business model standpoint as of now. The only thing vericoin has as an asset is the community. One in which is shrinking in value everyday due to the ignorance, and misguided leadership VeriCoin has currently.

For people thinking I am someone making up a tall tale about being in virtual currencies over 10 years. Here is a few of the currencies I have been involved in, in the past.

Ultima Online: 20+ years ago. I was a beast, and my first real solo success. I worked hard, and played the game, accumulating wealth and reselling that on ebay until I was banned for selling intellectual property rights.

EntropiaUniverse (PED) has been around 10+ years as a virtual currency. Real economy, with everything costing money. You can bet I learned a lot about the virtual currency business. This is a small part of what I had been doing on and off for the past 10+ years, well before Bitcoin was a fart in the wind.

I have done these, and everything inbetween relating to virtual currencies. My 1 true regret is not getting into bitcoin earlier. Its not because I wasn't aware of bitcoin, I was fully. But for me I am here to be successful, not make a quick buck, and at the time I felt bitcoin was for criminals, and end of the world conspiracy theorists, of which, I am neither.

Not everything that sounds negative really is. So why should we change the forum. A good community should be able to handle this.
Diamonds need pressure and Vericoin definetly is one.

Regards,
Michael

P.S.: For themes like strategic planning the devs and the verileaders could open a room you need an invitation for, the rest should be public.

Am I the idiot you are referring to? Yes a link to this forum is bad business. It is only that, because it is bad for the BRAND. This is a very relevant place, just not to be tieing it to the brand of vericoin through linking it directly from the wallet. At that point you cannot discredit anything said on this forum as it is the OFFICIAL public forum.

These are many of the minor details the community has been asking demanding our devs fix. Mining pool, Veri-Fiat, and every other promise, half launch, and failure in recent months. They cannot find time to make these changes, yet are off negotiating weeks at a time for something that, if we are being honest, every coin will have soon, maybe even sooner than if/when coinsis releases. I remember sharmbeck.. oh being a money transmitter isn't easy in the USA! Ask coinbase who just started alienating customers to protect themselves from US law, and rightfully so! So I have a lot of questions about the deal, if Coinsis is even able to fufill any, and all legal requirements that they may incur in any local juridiction that may bring suit against a Coinsis customer.

This may be a significant step back for vericoin. I am in NY, will I be able to use the card, if so, will I be a money launderer? This was IMO at face value, a bad deal. But I cannot say that until I have the facts from developers. This very well may be a self inflicted kill shot by our devs trying to go "mainstream" but having no clue how to get there! I cannot tell, and apparently, any information relating to the deal nobody else is privy to accept the developers and the person who just made up a company and is promising you a card in the future. Does it sound familiar? Sure does. If coinsis had a product today, ready for testing, I would be all for this. But instead, its developers selling you a "tangable" promise.

You know how many people are trying to take down vericoin? MP hack, DDOS attacks. You don't think they would try 1 upping our devs, and stringing them along because they know these guys are in way over there head in regards to any business matter? These guys are to vulnerable, they should develop and thats it. Leave the talking / PR to a capable person, they are not capable of doing everything. Maybe I was to nice before, I should be more blunt. They need help.

Anyways. I wanted to find out about the deal, to protect vericoin. If I'm a stupid idiot for doing so, so be it. I am able to see things clearly, capably, and this might be scary to people realizing that they put money in the hands of incapable people, no matter if they are "good guys" Incapable people do not overcome the flaws they have. If they would fill the weakness, with strength from the community, They would be much more capable developers.

By trying to be everything to everyone, they have become a mess, and are currently misguiding the brand with more promises. They could bunker down, and plug holes in the ship. Instead, they keep going out to sea, further and further with a leaky boat, makes no sense.

There's a link in the wallet that needs to be redirected. This is what needs to be done. While its not accomplished, here is the official vericoin forum.

We are going to do this so that there can be a non-combative, non-vulgar link in the wallet for the average person. We do intend to keep this thread as well so that there is an unmoderated place to speak freely as well. The thing is we can't convince "Aunt Emma" to use digitalcurrency and then lead her to stumble on massive repetitive and sometimes vulgar fudding at times and is quickly turned off for good.

As of late both buy4crypto as well as UK seem to be on a rant. (for barabbas this is normal  Grin)  Despite the long lovely paragraphs, they at times bring up some good points as contrast. As a supporter of this coin i am concerned by some of the directions and events taking place. Rightfully so, we all should be.

I don't think we should moderate this place. We have other forums, nothing wrong with hearing other opinions, especially if they present solutions. I do skip when i see name calling and bashing. That is not the way you collaborate or get anything done.

To some the debit card is a good, now that is done i hope we can focus on fixing any pending issues / projects : Veri-Fiat, mining pool as well as updating the wallet to a new Ui. I hope they have an eye out on upcoming tech to give us an advantage as well as more marketing. We really need a push to create buzz and awareness.

buy4crypto made a good point, the devs are capable, but they need help. As a community we all can do our part

@DEVS: The community has been asking for the FORUM button on the wallet to lead to a moderated thread. Is it possible to provide this? Thanks.

+1

This is the correct approach, IMO. The official link goes to a moderated forum while this one keeps going on unmoderated. Hope to see it accomplished rather sooner than latter.

I may even suggest a link to a support section of the VeriTalk Forum. Perhaps call it "Support", "New to VeriCoin" or the generic "Forum" is fine to. Perhaps pull a dropdown menu up off of the forum, and give them a choice on where to go. A place where a moderator can help people in a reasonable amount of time. You have community members who have shown they are more than willing to give time to help others in the past. This small attention to detail across the board would solidify the brand and make sense to people new to virtual currencies.

What doesn't make sense to everyday people is looking at roadmaps of what vericoin is, and then looking for all the features that they expect to be out, and polished. Only to find that these big deals at the time turned out to be several rushed, premature projects that, once launched failed to meet every basic objective they set out to have. To this day they are not complete, embarrassingly so.

You are trying to con "aunt Emma" to pay to banks abd conventional credit cards , plus other intermediaries more fees than she would pay using her regular credit card. Shameful. You should be ashamed of yourself. Thst's not only grossly vulgar, it is actually fraudulent -since it is not disclosed- and will be illegal too when regulation arrives.

It is also quite pathetic. You guys should learn that most often than not when you open your mouth you shoot yourself in the foot and hurt the project but intead keep doing it over and over again.
Aunt Emma knows,  by the way, even though she doesnt read forums or has a tweeter account. Just like everyone else.

Good suggestion regarding forum link.

Now correct me if I'm wrong but the only thing that was released unfinished was the fiat feature. This was a misstep I agree. However VeriSMS, VeriBit, VeriSend and variable interest are done, were well tested and are used in practice.

Our current roadmap is on track and reflects the new fiat feature, as well as everything else we are working on.
This leads us to the two biggest problems in crypto. Being able to easily buy it and spend it.

VeriBit solves the spending problem mostly for within crypto usage. This is key. However getting the regular non crypto person to spend is still a challenge. Therefore we will have an optional service for spending VeriCoin with a visa card.

Regarding the cozying up with banking system argument. Let those who do not cash out their crypto into the banking system throw the first stone. This just makes that process easier.

This is how it is and we can move forward faster by utilizing it optionally.

In this context new people can say I get how to use it, now lets start earning interest. Users and demand is what we need more than anything.

Regarding the card there is not too much I can divulge until Coinsis does. However I appreciate the constructive criticisms. I will answer anything I am at liberty to. Though I do not have time to read every single forum post and still be on track with the roadmap.

It's time to give up Barrabas! I agree every single word of your last shorter and previous longer posts, but the developer boys are clearly not interested in the direction you suggest. It make lot of sense what you and Buy4Crypto write, no wonder EffectsToCause doesn't listen  Grin
You are a wise and intelligent man, not a good fit here, go to to set-up your own coin, you will be rich.

@DEVS: The community has been asking for the FORUM button on the wallet to lead to a moderated thread. Is it possible to provide this? Thanks.

PS: We do want to leave behind these stupid idiots posting novels.

Thanks for trying hard to move the coin forward. I hope you will be listened.

[And they dropped their rocks, and split.]

VeriCoin is about ease of access/use for digital currency.  To play devil's advocate, this is great for Aunt Alice, but why would she want digital currency to begin with?  Unless it provides a better return on savings and investing than her fiat currency, she has no impetus to acquire digital currency.  Bitcoin dose not earn interest, and Aunt Alice is not about to start a mining operation.  VeriCoin is the leader in solving all these issues with: VeriBit, VeriSend, VeriCard and VeriBank.  And there's more to come...
