Perhaps this got missed? I found other issues in their driver and addressed a few with some more hacks. I could only get 1.7TH ish but this was on some pools that previously wouldn't work at all. The driver could be made to work reasonably if it had extended attention, but please don't carefully pick apart what I say and use it in ad hominem attacks.

Do we just upgrade the firmware with this file. If not how do install this on the miner.

On the other side of the coin.....
I have 2.242TH minerside and 2.23TH poolside @225Mhz clock on stock PSU using 1600W+ pointed at slush.
I think Bitmain is a fine stand up company. I look forward to my replacement PSU.

I just received an email from Bitmain Tech about getting replacements for our S4 PSU's. It included a link to this thread.
Are we required to go through the replacement process here?

You are required to do what bitmain said to do. Attach a copy of your purchase - as a pdf and reply to that email.

Anyone else choose Umisoo hosting? Do you just pay the hosting fee up front they show in the "Orders" page before it starts mining?

When you select it in basket there are links to the information. They will ship the S4 to the hosting directly, but you also need to make an account with Umisoo.

That part I have done. I'm talking about once you log in to Umisoo. Tracking number shows they received it yesterday. When I log in, it doesn't show any hardware but if I go to the "My Order" page, it shows an unpaid order for ~0.33 BTC. It also says "You must make a payment within 1 hour, or your order will be cancelled." So my question is, am I supposed to pay that invoice before they actually start the mining? I'm worried because it most certainly has been more than an hour since I didn't even know that was there.

(This support for Umisoo is unofficial)

Has anyone played around with overclocking settings yet on the S4? I usually do some hands on experimenting myself but with the power supply failure I wasn't able to tinker much I will have some time over the weekend to play around and document the changes like I did on the S2's

I had one of those "exploding" PSUs. After contacting Bitmain it only took ~1 week after getting the replacement PSU, but unfortunately the miner still does not work. When starting the fans are running at highest speed all time, without slowing down (not even after 10+ minutes). Furthermore the display does not show anything and the device can not be found on the network, even not after resetting it. I assume the controller board also has problems after the PSU "explosion", in fact it stinks a bit as the PSU did. What can I do now? Is there a safe way to disassemble the controller board without destroying it? I tried to pull one of the cables which lead to the hashing units carefully and had a feeling that the whole connector is going to come out... Kind regards
P.S.: Already contacted support yesterday, but did not get a response yet.

Hi... For those using the batch 1 PSUs the burning down thing is a real risk. I just avoided a near catastrophic disaster. The miner wasn't powering on so I decided to try another power cable and it turned on and was running fine and even started hashing. Suddenly I heard the fans going nuts... And when I went into the room a chemical smell was in the air and smoke was billowing out of my psu. And just so that you guys don't say I am bad mouthing Bitmain here is a video I took right after I turned everything off. The cable is a proven cable and there are no signs of melting on it. Bitmaintech S4 B1 on fire: http://youtu.be/uiZPOZcI20oPlease kindly let me know what compensation Bitmain can offer. They have not responded to my emails on the psu replacement.
