Tell me if OP tried to scam someone?
Neither did digaran - Check out his trust page and maybe you will get a fair idea of how trust system works https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=806776
1022  Other / Meta / Re: Trust system abuse on: June 03, 2018, 10:08:47 PM
Digaran, where are you?
Probably begging for 1 merit
1023  Other / Meta / Re: Trust system abuse on: June 03, 2018, 09:54:13 PM
You got red trust because you bid on your own bidding thread? Right...
If that is the only case yes your "red trust” is very unfair. @vod misused his powers clearly.
How bidding on your own auction is a fair behaviour ? Did you even read the thread ? I'm pretty sure you have no idea what powers or misuse mean.Do you even know what does auction mean ?

You did not use an alt account or any thing there is was no bad motives behind your bid. He gave you red trust because he did not like it, this is unfair.
That's the entire point of the trust system. If I don't like the way you did something, I will find you untrustworthy and leave you a feedback.

You own bid means you want to sell above 0.72BTC. And every participant knew it’s you... this does not count as scamming.

I’m with you on this @vod should take back red trust.
Regardless of the bidding issue. You should have the sense of reality that is,Vod would give two shits about what you think considering his long history of giving appropriate feedback.
1024  Economy / Reputation / Re: Sign a Staked BTC Address - Get a Merit on: June 03, 2018, 09:44:13 PM
I want merit, but I can not send signature from bitcoin wallet Which have (exchange wallet). Should it be done from a private wallet?
1.When will you learn ? Like the first thing a person learns about bitcoin is creating their own wallets.Move the coins from your exchange wallet to something like Electrum or blockchain.info soon as you can.

2.Read the damn thread, the offer is for accounts with rank Member +..

3.You have disappointed me as a bitcoiner and a bitcointalk member at the same time.Sorry no merit for you.
1025  Other / Meta / Re: Trust system abuse on: June 03, 2018, 09:35:50 PM
What happened?
Shortly, I pissed off DT2 member called Vod. He was rude against me, called me a scammer and so on, so I red-rated him as I don't trust people who call me a scammer. Later he contacted me about it and told me that he doesn't see me as untrustworthy. But, he threatened to red-rate me unless I changed my rating. I didn't obey, so he red-rated me.
You don't trust people who call you a scammer ? Similarly, maybe he doesn't trust people who don't trust him ? I don't really see any issue trust abuse with his ratings.I mean he just did what he was suppose to ? Like he even gave you a warning and you ignored it ? The problem is not the rating, it's the account that is coming from.I'm sure had it been from someone not on the DT you would ignore it ? Honestly, if I was you, I would think before leaving  a negative feedback to a DT member.

So I told him that I don't trust him and I guess he took it very personally leading to this shit storm.
If someone tells me that they don;t trust me I'm sure as hell I wouldn't trust them either.I still don't get it how do you see this as a trust abuse ?

Remember, most people are afraid to tell these people negative things about them.
That's not the case. For instance, if I call The Pharmacist a Asian Hating turd don't think he will give me a negative feedback and use his DT powers ? That would be a trust abuse lol

(* no offence to you Pharmacist you know I like you)
1026  Other / Off-topic / Re: Need loan for ICO marketing services on: June 03, 2018, 09:08:05 PM
I would just type what you need to know and certainly will be the case around bitcointalk

- The chances of your loan getting funded are nearly zero since an ICO is involved. Also, there is no tangible collateral.

- ICO market is extremely volatile and government can incur any additional policies without a notice so chances of ICO money taken as collateral will be taking with a huge risk.

- If you still have the confidence that your ICO/Product will be a big hit, you can always pay to marketing services such a bounty campaigns in your own coin that reduces your marketing costs by 50% right?

- For the remaining 50% you can look for private investors easily.I doubt you would need this loan.
1027  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CA: The site you've been waiting for all your life on: June 03, 2018, 08:56:17 PM
Hi guys, after your comments, I decided to improve the site so that it would produce a much better first impression than never before.
First I want to thank you all for your advice. And I want to show you an updated site and hear your feedback.
promo.cryptoartworks.io
- "The Blockchain Game" - What does this have to do with "Collect and sell digital art-works" ? I'm confused right at the landing  page. Smiley

- Must agree you have some fancy animations going on there. I like how the mouse scrolling is smooth given the animations. You just need someone who has a good design perspective. You got the skills just need to put right things at the right places.

- Payment system hasn't integrated yet ? Get over bootstrap and get someone to write some customised CSS for you.
1028  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for an angel investor to become part of a sports betting exchange on: June 03, 2018, 08:50:35 PM
We are an young and energetic team of 7 looking for an angel investor to become part of our initial phase of funding for an sports betting exchange which will go out for an ico soon. The angel investor can become the co founder of the project
Angel Investors don't put money on ICO related stuff in general.Especially if the product has to go through an ICO and don't have any records of selling anything. That's the entire point of carrying out an ICO and going for private investors and not venture capitalists.
They invest in things that exists and have a value in the future,white-papers don't work out for them.
Stop wasting tine on an angel investor if you plan to conduct an ICO.
1029  Other / Meta / Re: These boards require additional moderators on: June 03, 2018, 08:42:07 PM
Definitely. Given that one of our board doesn't have a moderator, this doesn't seem to be a priority at all.

Question is that do we have reputed members that will be able to handle this responsibility. Most of the old members here are active only in their free time. Moderation on a busy forum like this can be quite time consuming. It can even consume more time that a regular  job in some situations.
It's not just about being a reputable members.Moderators have a set of responsibilities to take care of which comes with experience in reporting posts in general. So ideally you would want members with high post reporting accuracy.

Another possible reason behind less moderators can be lack of funds to pay them. This is less probable though in my opinion.
I doubt that.Forum makes enough money through adds and of course massive donations in the past.
1030  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SebastianJu flaked with escrow on: June 03, 2018, 08:32:58 PM
He came back online and released finally. Overall I am extremely unhappy with the service he provided. The escrow cost $60usd. Obviously that is my fault for not fully reading the message he sent with those details. For $60(out of $175 total) I expect fast responses and not a almost 60 hour delay in releasing escrow. Needless to say I will never use his service again.
That is definitely over-pricing for the service delivered. No doubt SJ is trusted and your money was safe with him but delaying is definitely not professional. Also brings us to one more conclusion while using escrows - > Make sure they're very active on the forum on a daily basis.

Having said that, I can understand if they were really busy and they could have compromised for the inconvenience caused.
1031  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER buyercodesaws on: May 29, 2018, 11:34:15 PM
I'm absolutely sure that this coupon did not come.
I never disagreed with that.I said, if you could have checked his feedback you'd get an idea if your coupon would ever come.

I'll give the readers a free 10x 200USD coupon for free, so if you want to get it, follow the signing link and leave your Bitmain imeil.
I don't want any coupons man.Why did you start a self moderated thread ? Why being so generous to give out free coupons to anyone who reads this post ?
1032  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMER buyercodesaws on: May 29, 2018, 11:20:56 PM
Clearly you didn't see it coming, did you ? Self Moderated threads + No Vouch + Already tagged by a DT member for shady account sales  === You taking a huge risk to trade with him.The negative feedback was there for a reason and you conveniently ignored it.
1033  Economy / Gambling / Re: | PVP Gambling | ★★ btcraffle.io ★★ | Provably Fair | on: May 29, 2018, 07:15:16 PM
House edge is 4% and only applies to larger games, small games the house does not take a cut. Since it is only players betting vs players we can be bankroll less. We just have to cover for server costs, advertisement, etc..
To keep site up and running along with proper development operations , you definitely need some sort of income.Have you defined the limits for the house-edge yet ? The 4% will be applied only if the total amount passes the threshold of x value. That X needs to be defined.Better yet, you can have different X values according to the total pool. This will ensure you will get something from every game.
1034  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ubonium.com [endorsed by aTriz] and brandnetwork.net a SCAM on: May 29, 2018, 06:46:00 PM
I disagree with that part of your statement, because the manager's reputation is definitely on the line if the project turns out to be a scam.
I agree. But no matter how much you research and do your background checks, there are still services which are so well presented that the managers will fail to notice their real intentions.

Unfortunately for aTriz, he knew about the dishonesty of the campaign he was managing and went along with it.
Yeah that's the bad part.

Managers really should do some due diligence about the projects for which they're managing the campaigns/bounties, and I suspect that many of them either don't care--since they think that's not their business--or are in on the scam.  If you take a look at some of these ICO bounties, it's obvious the managers are part of the team or just don't give a shit what happens as long as they get paid.  This is one reason why I'll never join one of those.
You're right. If that bounty seems like an obvious scam, it's the responsibility of the managers to warn the participants.I'm talking about worst case scenarios here like https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1266987.msg13086584#msg13086584   a scam so well managed and was also advertised on the forum adds.
1035  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Dicryptionary: Urban Dictionary for Crypto on: May 29, 2018, 06:38:47 PM
Your project is really interesting and have a great potential.

You really need to enhance the interface with auto-suggest and fuzzy matching. The word for 'chain' returned Blockchain, so fuzzy matching it with the auto-suggest in real time will give user a better idea of what exactly they're searching for.

Also check how every keyword searched for is appended as the form param. That looks bad.Use event.preventDefault()
1036  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Private key (privkey) hunters - unite! on: May 29, 2018, 06:32:39 PM
My fellow crypto hackers. I've been into finding BTC private keys for a little more than a year. I have slightly less than 18k private keys in my own database.
That's interesting. What are the sources of your private keys ? How do you come across them ? What do you do if you find a key with addresses with some notable amount of bitcoins ?

The vast majority of the privkeys I've discovered are NOT from brainwallets (i.e. weak SHA256 hashes). Image search for QR-codes was nice for a while though, but those days are over. I have a couple of other techniques that I'm fairly sure anyone else hasn't thought of.
I know you wouldn't share but makes me a little insecure if you have established 'ways' to discover private keys online.

Anyways.... I was thinking maybe someone here has the same hobby as I do? Care to hook up and share some thoughts and strategies?
Me too.I'm a rookie though.Started collecting private keys just 2 minutes back.
1037  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ubonium.com [endorsed by aTriz] and brandnetwork.net a SCAM on: May 29, 2018, 06:20:30 PM
Similarly they will hire a reputed bounty manager and announce their ICO and Bounty and the Bounty Hunters and Investors would invest their time and money in the ICO and lose them. Hope bounty managers won't promote the Brandcoins by reading this thread.
Literally, the job of the bounty manager is to manage the bounty campaign.By managing I mean, updating the sheets, kicking out spammers/cheaters and maybe distributing bounties. It's really upto the investors/bounty hunters to do their research before starting the bounties.

Bounty manager could do a bit of research but even if the projects turns out to be a scam, they could really care less as they get paid per week. They aren't really 'promoting' anything here.Like I said, they're managing the sheets.Bounty hunters are the one's that should be careful while participating in the bounties regardless of who is managing it.
1038  Other / Meta / Re: Buying account with defaulted loan on: May 29, 2018, 06:07:30 PM
Why would you want to pay money for an account with a bad history?
More like, why would you want to pay for an account at all ?

So no, nothing will likely happen if you somehow get your hands on an account that's defaulted on a loan.  The account WILL get tagged if it's discovered that it's been sold, but the new owner isn't responsible for paying the loan back.
If an account defaulted on a loan, there is a 90% chance it will already be flagged. I think OP meant if the negative tag from the account will be cleared if he pays the loan back. There are only two possible cases for doing so
1.The account price is more (according to the current market) than the loan defaulted.
2.OP is an idiot.
1039  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betcoin.ag scam! on: May 23, 2018, 01:11:52 PM
Know your operator before blindly trusting them with your money.Had you taken 3 seconds to google about betcoin.ag with keywords like "scam",you could have a few hundred dollars. This thread serves no purpose as its just another thread with similar accusations.Every once a in a while we are used to see noobs opening threads about betcoin.ag scam.
1040  Other / Meta / Re: Automated distribution of Merit. on: May 23, 2018, 12:58:30 PM
What I was thinking was we could also include something like as in steemit. You get merit for sending merit and the merit is very minute and is based on how much merit you hold. Or it could be very well a modified version of steemit because it won't help new members in any way.
You get a merit for sending merit ? What does that even mean ? The rest of the story sounds equally absurd to me.

Is there any way that the steemit model could be implemented for merit system?
theymos is the right person to answer that question.Given the complexity and centralised structure of stemmit,I doubt he will ever agree to something like that.

If merit was actually made a commodity like steempower, it would really have some fine value.
We don't want merit to have any value but should only help right accounts to rank up.
