1041  Economy / Reputation / Re: Roobet.com is NOT honest casino on: December 26, 2019, 03:12:10 PM
Recently I entered the giveaway draw on discord and won 150$
There where no any special rules.
Then later on the last day they added the rule that new Roobet accounts can't win anything.

Something only a scam gambling site would do. Rules changes must be made or at least be completely stated before the draw happened not after who actually after someone wins the contest. Rule changes like this are something that shouldn't be accepted, it's like joining a raffle where the rules and conditions suddenly change because you won it is simply unfair for you as the winner. I would wait for any further developments on Yahoo's case if they honor his winnings and of course honor your payout before I get too trigger happy with my negative feedback.
1042  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: kms activator and bitcoin wallet? on: December 26, 2019, 12:20:29 PM
Why are you people making this sound as a big issue? I have always been a free windows user with KMS tool and yes i have various wallets on my PC, i never have any problem till date and there is no record or history online about people having issue with bitcoin wallet because of KMS activation software

Prevention here is better than cure would you really want to be the first victim here since all you are seeing are positive feedback from them? We aren't sure that the free pirated copy you have for Windows is safe or has the potential to have vulnerabilities and we aren't sure that the KMS activator you downloaded comes with malware or not so why risk your crypto and other private information just to get that pirated copy of Windows? It simply makes no sense as the risk you have will be due from your own carelessness.
1043  Economy / Economics / Re: A Nobel-winning economist says it’s time to kill the GDP metrics on: December 25, 2019, 09:10:15 PM
Why remove a financial measure solely because it cannot associate itself with what he is trying to link it into or because people can't understand for what it is? GDP provides a snapshot of the countries total monetary value of their finished goods and services it literally doesn't say anything about how it can improve the country's environment or poverty rate so why remove GDP when they can do something to wake up people on the other situation that country is facing? If politicians simply only see the GDP as something they need to stand on to see if their country is doing good then you know they are bad politicians and you really don't have to vote for them in the upcoming election because of it.
Satoshi made the right choice to become anonymous and that is also one of his point on creating a decentralized crypto hindi mo na kailangan na ipakilala mo ang sarili mo kung sino ka that time para malaman nila na ikaw ang creator ng Bitcoin.
1045  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: kms activator and bitcoin wallet? on: December 25, 2019, 07:28:32 PM
Even though anti-viruses detects this as a virus/malware yet is not as mentioned by previous users I still wouldn't used KMSPico nor have my PC be installed with a cracked/pirated copy of Windows or Microsoft Office, you really don't know what will be coming for you if you will install this free items online and it will be too late for you to find out. These types of software are really not to be trusted with your system and I don't think it is really worth risking your pc and other valuable information just to save a few dollars from buying the real thing. So if you want to save yourself from some potential headache from a potential vulnerability in the system my advice is for your to purchase the real thing rather than find the crack version of it, even if it is a trusted service/software for a crack file I wouldn't recommend it to you.
1046  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Uzbekistan amends law making it illegal for citizens to buy crypto-currency on: December 25, 2019, 10:46:16 AM
Uzbekistanis are having a protest against their natural gas situation and then suddenly the Uzbekistan government will ban the buying of cryptocurrency as an answer? Are they just trying to find a reason on banning the whole industry without thinking of any kind of connection whatsoever in the whole situation? For me this is the kind of government where you know your country is headed to its destruction since the ones heading it are in a form of a dictatorial government where they just do what they favor them or at least be unfavorable for their citizens. This must serve as a wake up call for them in their upcoming election to vote the right person to be elected so this kind of dumb shit would be prevented from happening.
1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: December 25, 2019, 09:49:28 AM
Jazz could utilised him and we do hope that we will see a Clarkson like when he was still with the Lakers.

I don't know if he can be a starter, but if he will be given minutes, I think he can contribute to the Jazz.

They wouldn't get him in the trade and not use him at all that would just be a dumb move on their end. Yeah you can say that he has a expiring contract but the cap space isn't really what they are after since they also have sent two second round picks with Exum just to get his value out. In terms of having minutes in the team we all know he is better than Ingles and Clarkson at worst is the first player behind Mitchell he can even replace O'Neale as the starting SF for the team which I think will be good for the team.
1048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would a Crypto Based Economy Make Things Safer? on: December 24, 2019, 09:42:11 PM
If society or at least communities are able to become more independent and based their markets all on crypto. In which they follow the principles of crypto? as in prevent inflation and create an equal or at least more fair financial market. If that was the case/

Would this create a more safer community? would this cause people not to resort to crime? substance abuse? etc?

Your thoughts why or why not?

Before the crypto market ever existed we already have fair markets where not only the rich can invest but also the poor from forex to the stock market there are no restrictions to who can invest in it yet does this solve the crime rate going down? No because even if there are more fairer investment vehicles created for their country it won't be the solution to solve the crimes from happening. Opportunity to become rich here is not the problem because poverty and inequality in society is. Not until we figure out how to solve the main roots of these problems we can solve or even lessen the crimes from happening in our country.
1049  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What kind of crypto trading do you recommend with $50 investment? on: December 24, 2019, 08:53:45 PM
I think it might be possible if BTC price movement in a day reaches about $500.
Suppose BTC price is $7000. I buy $50 worth of bitcoin = 0.007 BTC
Then some hours later, it rises to $7500. Then I sell my BTC to earn USD = $52.5

Now if we subtract half of that $2.5 for fees, the remaining amount would be $1.25
That means around $1 profit. What do you think?

You did the math and do you think a 1.25$ profit gain for a day's trade would actually keep you away from work? With that amount of money you will be devoured by your daily expense not to mention with the current market we have a 500$ price movement for Bitcoin right now will be very rare and it won't happen not until BTC is prepared for another break out. Small amounts like this are more ideal for a long term position rather than to be traded with since it won't be enough for you to earn something and you will just be facing a lot of fees just to earn 1 to 2 dollars from each trade. So really I would just buy and buy and accumulate more Bitcoin with a margin of safety set in place and wait for me to profit when Bitcoin is actually in a up trend.
1050  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-12-18] In Venezuela, buying up bitcoins, the rate is close to $ 9500 on: December 24, 2019, 07:53:55 PM
The Reddit post didn't really dive in to what is the reason why the price is going that high for Bitcoin, frankly the headline only serve as a clickbait for the whole post about Venezuela's financial situation. If I'm guessing why the prices got that high in Venezuela I would suspect the reason of citizens still living in that country cashing out their worthless Bolivar to Bitcoin that's why the prices have skyrocketed at present. With their crypto market having a different situation I would expect them to have a higher demand compared to what we have and also the risk factor of accepting Bolivar that's why the prices are going high compared to what we are having in the global market.
1051  Economy / Reputation / Re: Have you seen Yobit's new signature design? on: December 24, 2019, 05:21:38 PM
We don't know that yet, I already got a feeling that they just used this Cryptotalk campaign as a stepping stone to gain some participants in preparation for this "InvestBox" investment scheme.

It can be but I think they needed strong promotion for the Cryptotalk forum. And for the wide promotion, the Cryptotalk forum has thousands of regular posters now! Therefore people can earn a penny by posting in that forum too, so posters are stable.  But when Yobit realizes that the forum has enough members and it's growing they come out from their good musk and open the scammy invest box, lol!

If they want a "strong promotion" for the Cryptotalk forum then why do they need to change their signature campaign from Cryptotalk  to InvestBox? Why not have a separate campaign for each one of them and not force their existing Cryptotalk participants to change their signature to Investbox? That's what is bugging me on how Yobit without any kind of notice suddenly change their signature campaign. It's like an already existing signature campaign for an ICO project suddenly changes it's course and promote a gambling site which totally doesn't make sense for both the participants and the campaign manager.
1052  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Herbert_kopf user tried to scam me on: December 23, 2019, 10:04:23 PM
@OP you did good for a newbie on seeing through the lies and founding out the truth, I barely see a newbie who will escape such deceit where an impersonation of a trusted member is used. Remember that if any member tries to talk to you in TG or in any other messaging service you must get the hint that something dirty will go on especially if it is a newbie trying to transact to you.

I am a little disappointed how this forum does not ban people like him. The only thing he receives is bad trust rating.

It's not practical for the forum administrators and moderators to pursue scams.  There are too many gray areas, evidence is often difficult to verify, and the process is time-consuming.  There's also the fear that staff might suffer a conflict of interest if they are expected to moderate scams.  The best solution is the leave it to the community.

Practicality is not the issue here on why scams are not moderated here in the forum. Basically it's part of forum's way of practicing free speech just like how our trust system is unmoderated as well and they leave the DT members to decide on matters such as this where a member tries to scam another member. Basically what this do is make the admins and mods as neutral as possible here in the forum and let most cases like this be settled by themselves or with the intervention of DT Members.
1053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: December 23, 2019, 08:31:09 PM
I think that Real Madrid did a big mistake yesterday night at Santiago Bernabeu.I think that this can be a game changer for Barcelona now,Real just nullified the draw they got at Camp Nou and it can even mean the losing of the title for Real because we all know there are only two teams in La Liga that win the title.

Yeah a draw might be boring for a lot of fans but it's better than losing at their home and I think the fans watching would prefer a draw rather than that. After watching the game I could say that Madrid really wasted three good chances of scoring a goal the first one was a clear shot from Benzema but he couldn't convert it to a goal, the second one was the header from Militao that was only off by a few inches, and the last one was another header from Jovic. These  are really good chances but either one of them has converted it to a goal so it is a very disappointing thing to see for a fan.
1054  Economy / Reputation / Re: Have you seen Yobit's new signature design? on: December 23, 2019, 06:52:37 PM
yes what is the sequel friends? none of us want a ban or negative but we wish the campaign to continue.
we hope that a good result will be achieved, maybe it will continue as before "cryptotalk" Smiley

We don't know that yet, I already got a feeling that they just used this Cryptotalk campaign as a stepping stone to gain some participants in preparation for this "InvestBox" investment scheme. Yobit has been here in the forum long before I was even a member here and they know most of their participants will stick to their campaign no matter what just as long as they are getting paid for it that's why they are confident sudden changes for the campaign of CryptoTalk to Investbox will still have a lot of blind followers changing their signature. I know that yahoo right now is in a tight spot because of this I just wish that Yobit has the guts to made this InvestBox into another signature campaign so that it doesn't affect Yahoo and Cryptotalk's participants.
1055  Other / Meta / Re: Is this against the rules? Indirect referral link spamming. on: December 23, 2019, 03:06:55 PM
But that's the thing... he is using referral links... they're just hidden via redirects. I'm always a bit suspicious of any site that appears to be "linking" to an external site, but the initial link is on the internal domain.

For instance... on this page:
Code:
https://gocryptowise.com/best-way-to-investing-in-cryptocurrency-guide/

There is a list of exchanges:

And the URLs look "innocent" enough:
Code:
https://gocryptowise.com/Coinbase_exchange2
https://gocryptowise.com/OKEx-exchange
https://gocryptowise.com/Localbitcoins-exchange
https://gocryptowise.com/Kucoin-exchange
https://gocryptowise.com/eToro-exchange
https://gocryptowise.com/binance-exchange

Until you click on them and then look at the redirects:
~snip

In light of this, and having had a good sleep, I've reconsidered my opinion... this sort of shit is even worse than direct referral linking... especially given that the user is basically just posting it everywhere where they think it is even vaguely relevant...

Honestly I didn't notice the referral links hidden in gocryptowise's articles but if we are trying to understand the rules here in the forum, it is saying referral links directly posted in the forum not from the websites being promoted here. It's a hard thing to say but he had a brilliant way of showing the ref links by not violating any rule and that is really a bad thing to see. So we either wait for him to refer scam/hyip sites for him to get tagged or take our chances on him doing illegal advertising.
1056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too many projects is bad on: December 23, 2019, 02:12:14 PM
~snip~

that's it, if you or someone who understands doesn't promote, then there are still many people out there who will either understand or don't understand the situation, they will still do it for money.
I agree investors are the key, but this will take longer.

Having only smart investors in the market seems be an impossible goal for us since even the traditional markets still have dumb people losing their money in wrong investment moves. I said that we need to have more smart investors in the market but I didn't say that this would completely eliminate all of the bad projects and scams running in the market it just simply minimize the victims these projects will have in the future. Other than that I only see regulation for ICOs to be one of the major factors to help limiting bad projects from entering the market.
1057  Economy / Speculation / Re: Question for the Speculators... (experiment) on: December 22, 2019, 09:14:16 PM
Kiss that .01 BTC good bye since trading cryptocurrencies isn't really about following what others have been saying since you are just basically following them blindly without knowing if their analysis is accurate. Other than that traders need to be emotionally tough, supposed that what they have read is very accurate yet the trader isn't emotionally prepared for that trade he would be losing money because he/she can't stick to the trading plan. And have you seen the analysis here lately? Only a few members post proper analysis and others are only pure speculation or just FUD or FOMO without any kind of analysis whatsoever.
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too many projects is bad on: December 22, 2019, 08:36:53 PM
But since the market is decentralized, and you cannot really prevent anyone from creating shitcoins, what can then be done to promote only the good projects, imo investors should avoid new projects for a while, they either are coming out with the same plan as the previous ones and will only fail just as their "predecessors" did, and focus more on the projects that are already in the market, picking out the few that are good and investing/promoting them.

You won't really change anything for this one either. Even if we choose not to promote bad projects in the market other people will do it for them in exchange for getting paid or a stake from their ICO that is why promotions for ICO projects are very effective since every member who has a social media account, can wear a signature, or a Youtube and Medium account can participate in their bounty campaigns just to promote their project. Honestly if the project isn't a scam but just a very bad project they can still find success on earning a lot of investors just because of their campaign, talking bad against a project without any solid reason to stay away from it will just make the project more interesting for others so really you can't change the course for this one as well. Maybe the most realistic approach here is for the investors itself to be smart on where they would invest and avoid these types of projects so they know that shitty projects have no place in the market.
1059  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph VS GCASH Money Making Tips on: December 22, 2019, 07:46:38 PM
1060  Economy / Reputation / Re: The many accounts of korner (Bitcoin SV) on: December 22, 2019, 06:46:12 PM
Very true.  The fact that BSV is discussed, and their thread gets replies regularly is good for their exposure.  That's all that really matters, not the content of the discussion.  Any attention generated here is good for them.

As for banning the troll, it would be more peaceful around here if we could definitively connect all trolls to banned accounts.

The ANN thread for BSV was created in August 2018 were using fake conversations are very useful to bump the thread up that is why they create a lot of accounts just to do a fake conversation in that thread. Simply they are hoping for that bumps they have in the past can translate to more views for their thread.  Bitcoin SV on the other hand cannot be banned for trolling in the forum even if they are spreading false news against Bitcoin itself, so really the only way to permaban this account is to connect them to korner or one of the 50 accounts connected to him and be banned for ban evasion. But from the looks of it OP really doesn't have any concrete evidence to ban Bitcoin SV since there is no direct connection from what he have said since he only connected Bitcoin SV and korner to some kind of habits they have in the forum that are very similar and it would take a whole lot more for them to be directly associated to one another like using the same address, posting the same contact info or anything that can connect them as one person.
