1061  Economy / Reputation / Re: user brayktcristal abusing trust system and spamming all over the forum on: May 09, 2020, 04:38:54 PM
A month ago someone contacted me for escrow on Telegram; it turned out the "seller" was just stringing the buyer along.  Once I received funds from the buyer, the seller accused the buyer of being a scammer and encouraged me to keep the buyer's funds to punish him for his scamming activities.  The accusation had no merit, the "seller" merely provided a link to the buyer's post on this forum asking for AWS or SES accounts.

Around the same time brayktcristal PM'd me here with an accusation against another user, but the accusations were very much the same.  Merely a link to a post where the other user was requesting to trade Amazon accounts.  I don't have any proof that the Telegram user was brayktcristal, but the similar style of the two made me suspect they are the same person.

I suspect that brayktcristal was scammed during Amazon account trade, and has taken it upon himself to instill vigilante justice against anyone who buys or sells these accounts.  I believe it's true that there are many scammers involved in these activities, but not all of them.

I've look into his trust page and I think you are right, he is targeting AWS and Google Cloud Account sellers here in the forum and connecting them of being alts of one another just because they are selling the same product. On how he have establish this connections that the accounts are related? He didn't provide anything in this case but with just the similarities of the product they are selling. braykycristal might be under the impression that selling AWS SES accounts is something illegal that's why he automatically tag people offering it. For a member with a tagline "I catch scammers, i never sell anything!" he is doing a pretty bad job on giving judgement on who he catches.
1062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 09, 2020, 03:24:10 PM
Do you have any info on where games will be shown on tv?
Premier League will be probably free for all on Youtube, what about Bundesliga?

It will be huge the game played on Korea (KOREA!!) got almost 2 million spectators on Youtube today.

From what I know the rights of broadcasting the game is with BTsports and they do have a streaming website for their subscribers to watch it, now if they will also air the game in Youtube is something unlikely as it will be bad for the paying customers for their website. There is a big chance though that the replays/highlights will be uploaded right after the match which I don't think fans will like so I will see a lot of people preferring to watch on free streaming websites instead.
1063  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Start Up Ticker CH reviewed our cutting edge Wealth app on: May 08, 2020, 10:43:23 PM
Elaborating how the app works to provide the best prices, Bastien Muster, Head of Analytics and Growth at SwissBorg says: "WealthApp is more than just a comparison platform. We are doing the work for the users. With just one account, we are connected with multiple exchanges (Binance, Kraken, Lmax & hitbtc) from which we compute and create the best execution. For the user, it takes only one click and everything is executed in less than a second".

Won't this kind of system be abused in trading? Since technically you guarantee your clients to have the "best price" possible which means they will always buy the lowest offering matched for their orders they can sell it back at a higher rate or at least with a gain without breaking a sweat. Also can you confirm that you have an official partnership with exchanges you have mentioned? I've been seeing articles in 2018 but it doesn't really link to anything about you having partnerships with these exchanges.
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will More Countries Introduce Crypto-friendly Legislation? on: May 08, 2020, 07:41:32 PM
There is no straight yes or no answer here since we don't know the whole picture yet but based from what I see some countries will still have laws against crypto and the only thing that could change them are the countries who have crypto friendly laws. What I mean about that is if these countries who have unfavorable laws in crypto are seeing that these countries with crypto friendly laws are benefiting from the growth of the crypto industry in their country they will see that they are missing a big opportunity. That's why you will see a lot of countries who have been against Bitcoin like India and Russia changing their opinion with crypto since they know that they are being left out.
1065  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Easiest Way For New Traders To Profit From The Crypto Market on: May 08, 2020, 04:07:31 PM
Really??? Is this how marketers promote their services now? By scaring newbies that crypto trading is hard and their solution is "copy trading"? This isn't really a guaranteed solution for any newbies to profit in the first place, you are working in the assumption of every trader you copy can give guaranteed profit from each of their trade which in fact is impossible. I won't be recommending any newbies to start copy trading just because they haven't profited on their own this won't make you improve on your skills and it won't make you independent on your own traders, this isn't really a solution for the long term.
1066  Economy / Economics / Re: Rebooting the World after the COVID-19 Shutdown on: May 08, 2020, 03:23:29 PM
Many of the systems and institutions we count on have failed us in various ways. And that’s what got us here. Of course, no one pillar of society is to blame exclusively. National governments, international bodies, tech platforms, financial institutions, and big corporations (including airlines) — they all need to do a lot of soul searching to realize what they did wrong.

I think the government now knows where or how they have failed in containing the pandemic to a low level. It will take more than identifying the hierarchy of needs to solve this because it is just one step of a whole process. If you think about it the whole world ignored early signs of an outbreak happening in China that even the World Health Organization said that containment and lockdown is unnecessary at this stage (March) now they are wrong as well as other governments who didn't took the outbreak seriously. The best thing they can do now is hope that this is over and they have a cure and hope that the next potential outbreak is something that they can be more prepared off. From early containment, flight restrictions, and first aid plans this are all need to be in place so they lessen the threat of the next outbreak.
1067  Economy / Speculation / Re: One block left until final difficulty change before reward halving on: May 06, 2020, 03:42:25 PM
I'm pretty confident that nothing bad will happen in the upcoming halving even if there is an increase in difficulty. Like what el kaka22 has said there will be newer rigs to be use in mining, this rigs are of course will be more efficient in terms of electricity consumption as well as hashrate power. Other than that miners can also use renewable energy to further cut down their cost which have been done already. The real question here really is if it will still be profitable for small miners to mine now especially when the rewards will be cut down in half.
1068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee says he received call from Satoshi Nakamoto asking not to be reveal on: May 06, 2020, 01:53:04 PM
It's a good thing to see that everyone here in the thread doesn't believe on what John McAfee is telling online, did the whole industry adjusted and know what news to believe and what news to disregard? Or does everyone in the market now knows that McAfee until now hasn't said a single word of truth in his mouth? I think it is the latter I still see a lot of people easily get carried away with catchy news however with the majority of the posts showing negative comments against McAfee all I can say that this is a start for people here to see who to believe and to avoid.
1069  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Waweplatform - Ponzi scheme on: May 06, 2020, 12:50:42 PM
I have objections. There is no concrete evidence to show that there is a scam in their new presentations.

The reason I open this topic is to tell me that I am investing here and talking about waveplatform.io

Waveplatform is a new project. In my article, there is no such thing as "you should definitely deposit". I said; I gave my own referral address if you are considering evaluation and review.

I have never recommended everyone to invest everything and I do not recommend it.

Bthd is the lynching community. It contains negative/toxic in most Turkish writings. You should realize that the quality of the Turkish section is in places. Most people have left this section.

I do not accept injustice.

I ask you to take my objections seriously.

Thanks

If anyone is "lynching" the community it would only be you. This is an obvious scam with several levels of referral commission you know for your self it is not attainable for any company to do and is unreal for any company to achieve. You know why they have so many levels of referral in their system? Because it is their only way of paying you back, the money who you are inviting in that scam is the one paying your "earnings". It may look like injustice to your eyes that you got tagged but you are in the wrong here and Bthd did take his time to dig a little deeper on what you are offering. Other than that referral links outside of your signature isn't allowed here in the forum.
1070  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is Bitcoin is still legal in India and Bitcoin's future after Lockdown? on: May 06, 2020, 11:30:13 AM
The situation in India is pretty unclear as of the moment, just like China where we have seen for years now about news about BTC being illegal there we also have the same legal/illegal news about it in India. With the mainstream crypto news websites not being reliable, recycling old news, assuming things I think the best way for you to have a clear answer is to post the same question in India's local board here in the forum. You'll have a much more clearer answer from the locals compared to us who only rely on the mainstream media.
in a pandemic and lock down situation in the country, of course there is a lot of difficult news that can be well known. because the information that can come out also cannot be accurate.
true your word is better to ask directly in the state forum they might be more enlightening.
but it must be recognized that the Indian state can accept that being legal is a natural thing. because it is recognized that these countries are very advanced in renewable technology and they can quickly adjust even though their country is also oppressed by economic difficulties.

WTH are you talking about? I didn't mention anything about this issue of crypto being legal or not in India is related to the ongoing pandemic we have. I literally just advice this guy just to post his concern in India's local board. I just think that you haven't understand my whole post or this whole thread because you also have assumed that crypto should be legal because it is "natural" which in its sense doesn't sound anything reasonable on their crypto's situation, maybe you should read and understand the topic and posts first before you start posting something about it.
1071  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-04-08] Mining Bitcoin Just Became More Difficult by Almost 6% on: May 06, 2020, 10:07:06 AM
@Harlot. Agreed. However, he might not be wrong on what might occur after the next halving hehehe. It would be clearly disadvantageous for the smaller mining farms if the price of bitcoin does not pump.

The skeptical me thinks that this is not a race to get 12.5 BTC before the halving. It might be the big mining farms geting ready to kill the small mining farms after the halving.

This has been the game of big mining farms ever since the price of Bitcoin temporarily got lower compared to the higher operating costs of small mining farms. To cut their losses or if they are lucky to break even they will just sell their mining equipment to big mining farms.  However I don't see any bad thing about this one since the difficulty level always adjusts depending on the current situation, if the difficulty gets higher  I know a lot of farms will shutdown their operations thus lowering the overall hashrate of the network, when this happens we all know that the difficulty will significantly go down. This will take time of course for the whole network to adjust to the next block rewards we have and I think miners will be more creative on reducing their costs more like using renewable energy.
1072  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fake volume? on: May 05, 2020, 09:16:58 PM
You can easily spot fake volume from an exchange by monitoring the volume of that crypto in other exchanges. In this way you can really see if there are real volume going on in those exchanges, you can monitor their volume by looking at Coingecko's exchanges page and see one by one the cryptocurrencies listed in those exchanges or you can check tradingview chart's for each crypto in an exchange. Other than that you have an option to create an account for other exchanges just for the purposes of monitoring volume and market orders.

Are there alot of fake volume? How to identify this?
Rule Number 1: Do not believe or follow exchange ranking data by trading volume reported by coinmarketcap. It's all inaccurate and fake!! Infact never use coinmarketcap at all and instead find alternatives like coingecko. Coinmarketcap are the root cause of all this by ranking exchanges based on their 24-hour trade volume.

I think we should consider Coinmarketcap to have a clean slate after being acquired by Binance. After all this will be their number one priority in order to make the reputation of CMC any better. They have acquired CMC for around 400 million dollars so I think they are serious on making CMC better starting off with the accuracy and reliability of their data.
1073  Other / Meta / Re: Large number of face mask selling threads in marketplace board on: May 05, 2020, 07:55:01 PM
Aside from the bulk order requirement they have and the potential hoarding issues the seller is doing I would really worry about their buyers here. I have seen a lot of posts both in social media and news that since this outbreak became a pandemic a lot of masks products surfaced and the brand new ones have issues about not reaching the standards for a 3-PLY masks, N95 mask and other types of masks required for this pandemic. So even if they are selling mask and have it available I would still avoid them because of the issues about the quality of them also if you buy a substandard quality masks you are literally buying no protection at all, this just gives you a impression that you are safe with them.
1074  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-04-08] Mining Bitcoin Just Became More Difficult by Almost 6% on: May 05, 2020, 06:00:36 PM
Unfortunately, today mining has become really difficult and unprofitable. But I still hope this isn't the end.

Why would it be the end? If you look at the recently created blocks right now you will see that the network is still in normal operations considering how many blocks are created in interval. Just remember that difficulty always adjust with the current hashrate we have. So if the hashrate increases we can expect
that the mining difficulty would increase as well. This just shows that a lot of miners are competing right now to get those block rewards that's why the difficulty is rising. Only downside with this one is smaller mining farms and pools are always overshadowed by big farms that's why they don't see this kind of increase in difficulty as something profitable on their side.

1075  Economy / Reputation / Re: Another signature campaign with plagiarism on: May 05, 2020, 04:09:45 PM
It's one thing that yahoo is ok about the plagiarism of the same rules for the campaign but it is another when we are talking about the rules here in the forum. Since they have copied a post even if it is partially  I think it would still qualify as plagiarism here in the forum and the campaign manager should be banned. Only problem if this happens really is the sig campaign for this project won't continue anymore since if they create a new account it would count towards ban evasion. It's the first time I am seeing this kind of case so I don't know how the mods will handle this since it's only rules we are talking about and literally anyone can have the same rules for their campaign.
1076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: May 05, 2020, 03:12:03 PM
So ok...  What would happen if one of these players catch the bug while in training or during a match?  Shut the league down again?

I mean...  It could happen.
It depends of the scale of the infection tho. If a player was infected outside of the stadium, most likely he will be excluded for 2-3 weeks or more. At the opposite if a horizontal transmission is spotted between players of the same team which can affect that team performance, or between +2 teams then this could definitely be a reason to hold everything again and of course cancel the Liga...

No matter how that player got infected as long as it happened on a league game the whole league will be suspended again. Just take a look at how the NBA suspended their league due to one of their players not feeling way and that time there was no confirmations yet if Gobert was positive of the virus. The same thing will happen in the league since symptoms doesn't show up just instantly you may never know if that player had catch it during his last game or two so everybody here is literally affected. Even if they had increased their medical security and everything I think this will be their procedure once a player got tested positive during the resumption of the season.
1077  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Anyway to use bitcoin and eth in a shopping cart without third party on: May 05, 2020, 12:26:46 PM
For the bitcoin side use https://btcpayserver.org/ you can self host it. Good support and a lot of people use it.
There are a few blogs how-to for accepting ETH but I have NO experience with any of them so I cannot comment on them. You can probably find an ETH discussion in alt-coins here to poke around it.

What OP is asking for is something hard since I don't even think BTCpay can be considered not as a 3rd pary, yeah they are saying that they aren't a "company" but they are a project that would implement BTC payments for their website. I think the OP is looking for like a pure source code where it can automate payment request with his/here wallet integrated in it.
1078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HIVE - THE STEEMIT FORK on: May 04, 2020, 10:30:10 PM
Steemit wasn't even that successful in the first place, the only ones thriving that community are part of circles jerks and groups of thousanda of followers that even if you are a good author you still won't receive the recognition you want. Hive will be the same as well, the ones who will migrate there already have established their bases and they will continje to thrive. With a small group benefiting from such project I really wouldn't expect much for its price since they are the only ones earning real money in the first place.
1079  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Copy Trading help you make enough to cover your bills? on: May 04, 2020, 08:19:13 PM
Well if you are really interested in finding out the answer I think this topic isn't fit to become a yes or no type of answer since this will always depend if copy/trading will give you a guaranteed profit every month and based from my experience in the crypto market there is no such thing as "guaranteed returns" even if you get the best trader to copy trades at it doesn't mean all his/her traders are wins. I wouldn't be relying on what the article is saying right now since it is also a promotion for eToro.

Here is how you can make enough to cover the bills with copy trading: https://thebitcoinnews.com/make-enough-to-pay-your-bills-with-copy-trading/

I'm guessing that this is a promotion of the article rather than you having a real interest of the topic you created, since you aren't replying back to the other members who have answered you?
1080  Economy / Economics / Re: BitMEX to restrict all Japanese users from its Platform on: May 04, 2020, 05:33:07 PM
Them backing out from Japan just because they need to re-register their license there just shows that they aren't really interested in the market at all or is avoiding other additional regulations set in place by that country. There is also a possibility that them not being a popular exchange in Japan also plays a big factor on why they don't want to continue their operations since it will also add additional cost to them just to apply again their permit in Japan or are they just plainly avoiding the new regulations at all and they are just worried that the Japanese government will catch them onto something?
