There is no need to do any physical modifications inside the unit.
Everything that should have been cleaned cleaned at the factory.

Some people, who are technical, changed fans or made emersion cooling systems and so far that didn't cause any problems.
But you must be aware that if someone changes something and the units stops working we have the right to decide that the warranty no longer applies because of the nature of the change or the way the change was done.

cleaning would hardly be described as a physical modification (other than by notorious scammers KnC/CoinTerra)

that being said, i can find no mention of warranty terms on the spondoolies-tech site.

so either way, cleaning the heatsinks that i could reach seems to have helped.

the ability to adjust the fans to a higher speed than 90 may also help with my ambient heat concerns... i'm sure i mentioned that long before discussing opening the rig to clean it & thus voiding the warranty.

does anyne have a copy of these terms at hand?

i recall having to click on some agreement when first connecting to the sp20 but not the sp30.

1143  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 23, 2014, 08:16:21 AM
not a bad suggestion if i could find some locally. but it will be a bit of a mission either way.

since brushing the top sinks, my front temp has dropped from 41 to 39 and back from 90 to 88!

im half tempted to just snip the front 'mesh' panel out and brush the ones i can reach..

Dear clients.
Please note that by terms of sale, opening the unit without explicit approval from Spondoolies-Tech engineers voids your warranty.
We can tell, when we get units, if they were opened.
Regards`

cleaning the heatsinks voids the warranty?

how very sam cole

only Adv, IP-scanner. if that doenst work you'll need to contact support.

On another note - has anyone opened their sp30 up yet?

i took off the lid and brushed the heatsinks on the top board but found no way to loosen the seemingly sheared torx screws on the front panel to access the lower board/heatsinks...

any ideas other than drilling through each torx screw?

i really need to brush those lower heatsinks!

most (mass-produced) beer isnt even beer, like most burgers & sausages arent really meat.

good beer is like a good burger - 1 is enough and its delicious, unlike shit (cheap) beer & shit food which looks the part but in fact is made up of fillers, flavourings, sweeteners etc

FYI

soon, plan, intend, hope, expect, should, your fault, no refunds, trolls, crybabies, silence....

...like the cunts that they are
1153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 22, 2014, 12:57:16 AM
ever since KnC turned up with BullShit promises, well thought-out lies & paid off shills the whole company has been a complete turd run by cunts and supported by our hard earned funds!

In fairness to the expletive above - solar is an awesome investment if you can get it priced right (and delivered)

I recall another poster discussing solar companies in the same way we discuss ASIC companies - full of deception, lies & false promises but he/she did eventually get what they were looking for.

KNC is a crap company with crap products, crap customer support and crap ethics. In summary, KNC is just a bunch of doodoo fouling up the streets of Stockholm and the bitcoin world.

vs

BTW, anyone else notice how they put the component that reports the chip temperature at the very *edge* of the board

Derogatory comment with no supporting evidence !

Talk to you guys soon when Neptune ships ON TIME and OVER SPEC to see what kind of CYA excuses you are making for yourselves.

Still makes me chuckle - at least you've seen the light now - praise (bitcoin) jesus!  Grin

I'm not shy about admitting that I now understand what you folks were going through. Let me add though that you would have personally been a lot more convincing without the drama-queen and low-life rhetorical approach you adopted.

Just the facts and nothing but the facts would have brought a lot of us around to your point of view a lot sooner.

Now thats just untrue!

we were called liars, trolls, cry-babys, and god knows what else when we (at least I) were literally begging for support.

the now, in-line with reality crew were back then some of the biggest cunts i have ever had the misfortune of encountering online.

People forget due to ENDLESS wittering about NOTHING, that SOME PEOPLE here, spent MONTHS sucking KnCs ballsacks to the detriment of EVERYONE ELSE!!

so from the bottom of my heart - FUCK YOU ALL - you KNOW WHO YOU ARE (pretending to be today), - you cunts!

just in case the deluded want to act all, who? me?

Bitcoinorama/old dominiom - yes, fuck you!

PhonieX1969 - FUCK YOU sideways!

Searing the dim - Fuck you with a screwdriver!

...

aside from that i'll not be sending kennemar, cole or any of those sneaky fuckers any more financial lube so they can shaft us that much easier.

Nice multi-posting, impressive to see searing still doesn't know how to conduct himself in public after only YEARS of having it spoonfed.

THIS is where YOU belong!

In a wasteland of shit -regurgitating your own sorry silage ad infinitum
He needs to spam. Otherwise he won't get his 0.1BTC/mo signature advertisement moneys.

I agree he appears to need to.
I dis-agree that it is a financial need.

It's good humor.
The funny part is that many of his 'wounds' are self inflicted.

YMMV
Smiley

I was blinded, didnt even see the scumbags scavenge-sig - gross!!

@tolip - You are a gent! you word things so pleasantly - i see it as he picks open his wounds, spits in them and then proceeds to whine on & on for years to anyone and everyone like a sad, repetitious old war vet who never actually went to war, but wont STFU about it.

and having a PM box 'full' of backslapping, idiocy by similarly socially-retarded scammers is hardly 'proof' of your self-perceived import.

1159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ixcoin TODO on: November 17, 2014, 04:21:46 AM
Another "Zebedee"?
Anyway, I like iXcoin dumpers. Wink
Probably you don''t get this is a long term investment. If you are in only for speculation, I suggest you to change coin.

Shockingly, i hold more than one coin.

Un-shockingly, the advise/opinion/muse/perspective of others, has added precious little

probably you dont get that this long term investment is haemorraging value consistently - unless this benefits you... (dumpmuch?)

As i am not 'in only for speculation' what else do you suggest?

'dont invest more than you can afford to lose' ok, thanks for the 2010 flashback...
