1161  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The biggest No while trading on: May 17, 2023, 07:36:42 PM
Trading will be more favorable too you when you have a system/strategy that works for you, but no matter how perfect you feel your system/strategy is,

Don't ever trade under pressure. pressure to pay off a debt,
pressure to pay your rent/ Bill's.

I till repeat, Don't ever trade
under pressure
because no matter how you do, that pressure will make you do the following,
I would say that everyone here is under pressure in life? I mean if you have family then you have the responsibility to bring food in the table 24x7. So you have to find a regular job or just think out of the box on how to make money. And who knows, maybe trading is for you or for anyone.

- poor risk management: your risk management will not be put to good use because you are desperate, you want to meet up and that will be when time will be working against you, so please fellow traders stop trading under pressure,
I don't know if anyone have more to add?
It really boils down to experience though and again, your psychology, what I mean is that you should be positive of all your trades. I know that you can't win all of them, but still don't be negative and right everything down so that you can go back and see where you make the mistakes and then improve and developed your own strategy.
1162  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear Market Reaches $27605 - Will the Downtrend Continue?" on: May 17, 2023, 07:14:02 PM
Don't forget that we're not out of the bear season yet, even if bitcoin crosses $30,000, so it shouldn't be surprising to see a correction or a major decline. Let's not be too subjective and believe that bitcoin will never plummet again, the bear season is not over yet, plus the economic situation is still tough, anything can happen.
If you already know the price drop is an opportunity to accumulate and buy more, then you should expect bitcoin to fall again and fall more, rather than expect what is happening is fake and bitcoin will rise again soon.
We know once the bear was over once the BTC price returns to $69k again or increase more than that. Corrections doesn't only come during a bear but it can happen in any market conditions. Once we cross $30k, I don't think the price will correct because it already happened last time.

Another correction might happen again once we hit $35k or more. The definition of correction is only a small decline but a major decline is already a bear. I don't think it will happen as well because we are already at it. The best time to buy is when the price is low but many of us are still hoping that the price will rise more than the dips because increases are much rare.
The price seems to be ranging at 27k at the moment and it does not seem as if there is too much of a chance to reach 35k as bitcoin has had problems reaching 30k and keeping itself above that level, however I do not find too much of a problem in something like this as this gives us the opportunity to buy bitcoin for a decent price, and if those prices can be maintained for long then this is an opportunity we cannot let go as I think it is likely the price could close this year at a level significantly higher than what we are seeing right now.
Trading sideways is the pattern right now, unless we will have a break out run to at least go to $30k or higher. But if you read technical signals, it doesn't look good and it's better to expect that something worst is going to happen, like going down to lows of $25k.

I know we don't like to hear that, but if that happens then take that as a opportunity again to fill our wallets. Yes, we are still in the middle of the bear market. We will have at least a year to experience this as the we will have halving around May next year. So that's where the start of a bull run though, after that activity. So we need more patience with this downtrend and stay calm.
1163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 17, 2023, 12:32:28 PM
Both are known to be on the top of their respective careers, but only one can win the match.
Yeah, but considering Inoue's popularity and his impressive track record, it wouldn't be surprising if his winning streak continues. Even though Fulton is the champion, it seems like the public doesn't believe he stands a chance against the formidable Inoue. All we can do is wait and see another impressive victory by Inoue. Sorry for assuming too much, and while I do respect Fulton, my intuition tells me that he won't be able to withstand Inoue's power punches. Just like the past boxers Inoue has defeated, Fulton might not be an exception.
Odds shows it as well, for sure Inoue will be the favorite and if I'm not mistaken it has been released by some bookies already. But when I check today, it has been deleted. Maybe they will have to post it again once the fight is nearing the schedule in June.

So yes, no surprised, we respect Fulton, for what he did at 122 lbs and he is supposed to move up, but just decided to stay so that he can fight Inoue.

But it's going to be hard for him and Inoue is really very good even at this weight and I for one thinks that he can be the undisputed champion once more.
1164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 17, 2023, 10:38:43 AM
And they have like a grand arrivals, MGM Grand.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkx_kBZobqE

Both look great, so we should be expecting a close fight, lots of fans in attendance. Good interview and overall good marketing ploy for Top Rank and maybe they still want to attract as much as casual boxing fans to bring in the money this weekend.

So for sure, everyone is excited, I haven't put my bet yet, but a Loma bet is surely very attractive ML or by decision win or by knockout or technical knockout.

Well, we can't blame people for getting excited because this is a big fight. I agree that the odds of Loma are very attractive, so I'm sure some fans will be placing significant bets on him. This could potentially be Loma's last fight if he were to lose, but nothing is certain. Loma has been dominant in the past, but he is not getting any younger. Going up against a young champion who holds most of the advantages, it's clear that the majority of fans will be cheering for his opponent.

Though it's not as big as the promotion for Garcia vs Davis, this is still a big fight. With the advantages, Haney would be my bet for this fight.  Yep, this is a young fighter vs Loma where Haney also has tons of experience and also has a KO punch.

Haney is risking belts but if he wins, a bigger fight for his career will happen. There were talks about Haney vs Davis after this and this is a big motivation to win.
Yes, not as big and that's why they try everything they can to really bring the fight to the masses. Just imagine Bob Arum still in his 90's and yet promoting this fight. We all know that this is the real deal as far as belt is concern for 135 lbs division.

However, everyone is on the bandwagon of Garcia and Tank Davis several weeks ago.

Just the question on whether the winner hear is willing to fight Tank Davis next, that will be the biggest fight if that happens.
1165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 17, 2023, 03:22:54 AM
That will do it, the Nuggets survived a scare because they lead 20+ points in the 4th quarter, but the Lakers make a huge comeback in the last 5 minutes of the game.

But they just fell short though, Reaves has back to back 3's, but there is a critical steal by Murray from James.

Fortunately, Jokic missed one of the FT, so it didn't covered the initial handicap for bettors at -6.5 as the score is 132-126.

Jokic, another triple double, while AD has double double.
1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 16, 2023, 09:38:15 PM
i feel that Devin Haney is entering his prime. even though he is entering his prime, i do not trust his power yet, he still has a lot to prove.

A lot to prove indeed. Haney is one hell of a lucky guy, he got those belts without exerting too much effort, I mean beating Kambosos for those belts was not the way the boxing community want for Haney but it is what it is and now is the time for him to prove that he belongs in the top by beating Loma (the real champion for me) convincingly for him to earn the respect of the boxing fanatics.

This is going to be a very technical fight but not boring though because Loma loves to attack and I hope he will be aggressive early on to compile points as a knockout is a slim possibility in this matchup.

Fives days more to go, still got Loma in my mind to win this match  Cool.

Same here, I believe Loma will win, and I'm happy about that because he is the underdog, which means betting on him to win would be profitable. Meanwhile, Haney has to prove that he can defeat a highly technical fighter. The same challenge applies to Loma as people believe he is past his prime.

This fight is like a chess match, making it difficult to predict the winner. As you mentioned, it's a technical fight, but it's not boring, so I can't wait to see this match.
Yes, even in their promotions, I see Haney's training, interview with his Father and of course, the Haney's trash talking. On the other hand, I see Loma's hard training too, and we can't really take away that even if he is old and despite him being the underdog in this fight, he is the better fighter between the two specially if they will fight prime for prime. So for us bettors, if we look at the odds still very attractive for Loma specially if we pull the trigger right now. And as we say, just a couple of days ago and maybe we might sway to bet on Loma. So goodluck to everyone.
1167  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: May 16, 2023, 05:21:22 PM
My thoughts, is this how we often feel when we lose out on a bet??
Do you wish the site can refund your money??
Of course it hurt us financially and emotionally, specially if you are playing money that you can't afford to lose. Yes, we want the site to refund our money, but if it is a legit site and you lose it fair and square then you can't do anything about it, but to let go and live another day.

Gambling should be your choice, you shouldn't let anyone compel or persuade you into it.
Yeah, that's why it's very important that you shouldn't be influence by anyone to gamble. Just stay away from it if you are not a gambler. But once you get your hands on it, very hard to stop specially if you experience what we call, beginners luck. And then you go and bet again, until you can't stop anymore and you are totally hook into it.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 16, 2023, 04:45:26 PM

Despite being a huge underdog, it's worth taking a risk on the Heat because we know they won't give up easily. They reached the NBA Finals in the bubble, and Butler has been delivering the best playoff performance of his career this offseason. I'm confident he won't be stopped by the Celtics. The Heat are playing with great discipline, and everyone is contributing to their defensive efforts.

So, why not? Let's go Heat!

Although many think about that Celtics can able to defeat Miami on this series but for sure this will not be so easy for them. miami is well build team now and Butler and Adebayo is on their best form. Maybe the most consistent team on defensive ends will have a chance to win this match up. And the main assignment of Miami is to limit the scoring of Celtics shooters. For sure Heat fans are cuorious to see how their campaign goes since they are the underdog on teams left battling for championship.

The Heat have already lost 2 players due to injury, yet they are still playing very well. Thanks to Butler for maintaining his health and having a remarkable postseason performance so far. The acquisition of Kevin Love has proven to be a fantastic decision for the team, as he not only provides solid screens but also spreads the floor with his exceptional 3-point shooting.

Furthermore, Lowry has been displaying his toughness on the court. As a veteran player and a champion, he is undoubtedly a valuable asset to the team.

So I'm hoping that no more injury would happen to the Heat.
I think both Lowry and Butler are playing injured throughout this playoff, but their experience is what keeping the Heat's hope alive to go to the Finals again. Best scenario will be, them against the Lakers in the finals, it's going to be a rematch.

And I do agree that Kevin Love's acquisition is now paying off this playoff. Kevin is also a veteran now and you can see his ability to read the defense and that outlet pass, still Kevin's strength despite his age. So the Celtics shouldn't sleep against the Heat, because by the time they wake up, they might be down 3-1 and it's hard to comeback.
1169  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2024 halving less than 1 year away on: May 15, 2023, 01:14:03 PM
I voted for: After the halving bull market starts.

If I'm not mistaken, this is where the real bull run will happen. Yes, we might see the price going up maybe months before the halving. But for me a bull run is that when the price is like going parabolic and building up to a new all time high.

And base on historical data, new all time high is going to be achieved a year after the halving, so officially the start should be right after that activity, a slow but steady growth leading to 2025, new all time high.
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 15, 2023, 11:21:34 AM
i feel that Devin Haney is entering his prime. even though he is entering his prime, i do not trust his power yet, he still has a lot to prove.

I very much agree. This is why the odds for over 10.5 rounds is only 1.17 hehe. However, despite not having the power, Haney is faster, he has an improved philly shell defense and he is very intelligent. I reckon after his first fight vs. Kambosos in Australia, he also has shown that as a fighter, he is fully grown already. I am not certain if this will be a dominating performance for Haney but I would not be shocked if it ended with a dominant win him.

In any case, Tank Davis should fight Haney hehehee. Tank has already left Mayweather's gym where he trained with Haney. Boxing experts say Haney loses vs. Tank in their sparring sessions.
We should know by now that Devin Haney is not a knockout artist, he might be entering his prime though, I agree with that, but I'm not seeing him proving anything as far as his power goes. You can't teach it in the gym, either you have it or not. And another weakness of Haney is that he has a weak chin, he has been hit got wobbled throughout his career.

So with his lack of power, he make it up with this good boxing IQ and defense. That's why even though he has been hurt before, he was able to get back and beat his opponent through decisions.
1171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 15, 2023, 10:42:39 AM
There is another controversial fight, it's Romero vs Ismael Barroso.

Romero was down in this fight, but he scored his own knock down against Barroso (debatable) in round 9th. But for whatever reasons, the referee, Tony Weeks suddenly stop the fight.

Barroso is leading on the 3 score cards prior to the stoppage.

Here is the video, even the announcer was stunned by what Tony Weeks did.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpXHeCD0w8U
I just finished watching the 9th round and I was shocked.
Those two knockdowns were both a push and the stoppage was the worst! Oh my God! How could that happen?
Barroso was still fighting back and in fact, his punches are sinking in, I don't know what Tony Weeks is thinking but that should be investigated. And I doubt he should use the reason for Barroso being cornered most of the time because that is part of his strategy.
Yep, it was close to robbery and I think it will affect Tony Weeks reputation here. Barroso is in the corner but you can see that he is responsive and trying to get back into the fight and the sad part is that he is leading in the judges when it was stop.

Not sure about Romero though, seems to be one hit wonder boxer here. If I'm Ryan Garcia, I will definitely fight this dude and get that belt because he doesn't  deserved it. For sure he knows what happen to this fight and he was lucky that Tony Weeks stop it early in favor of him.
1172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 15, 2023, 10:05:06 AM
And just like that! The stage are officially set for the WCF and ECF and It is something looks very very familiar, because this was the NBA 2020 final match up for both conferences. I thought this was going to be a tight game 7 as they traded buckets and leads in the first half, until the Celtics made a 3 pt barrage in the 3rd quarter and end it with a 25 pt lead moving towards the 4th quarter and the Sixers did not had the chance to make their own run to comeback to the game.

This is going to be interesting. It was the Lakers and Heat in the 2020 finals, but it looks like the Denver and the Celtics are a much stronger team now than the last time these team met in the conference finals. Will we see a Denver-Boston match up?

Most likely this is what I'm seeing as well, top seed Denver in the West vs the second seed in the East. Dynamic Duo of Jokic and Murray, against Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

But still early to say though, Lakers is a very different team as compare when they become champion, but the core of Davis and James are still there. Miami still has their core of Bam and Jimmy Butler, but they have the experience of Lowry and other undrafted picks who are showing very good with them in this playoff, specially on how they dismantle the Bucks in their first round series.
1173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the Ordinals craze cause a UAHF soon? on: May 13, 2023, 03:45:30 AM
Fees on the Bitcoin blockchain have been on the rise ever since Ordinals became a big hit. There's a lot of NFT inscriptions that's making BTC slower and expensive to use. We've already seen some criticism by Bitcoin users all across social networks (Twitter). Last time I've checked, TX fees were as high as $30. It's insane!
Nah, although the fees is still high as compare before wherein we can pay 1 sat/vByte, now the fees is between 16 - 35 sat/vByte, and I think that is manageable, still less than 2$.

I'm beginning to wonder if nodes will eventually reject Ordinals transactions, leading Bitcoin towards a hard fork (UAHF)? If that happens, we'll be heading back towards the era of the scaling debate which lead to the creation of Bitcoin Cash (BCH). Do you think the new hard fork will be a success? Will it destroy/ruin Bitcoin? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley
Depends on the nodes if they will eventually reject Ordinals, the point of contention is that it's business and they are making big money because we try to outbid each other to get our transaction to get into the next block, so that debate is going on right now.

For all we know, those entities spamming bitcoin's network right now are the same individuals back in 2017 wherein we have a debate whether to increase block or not.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto VS Fiat Online Gambling as per Google trends on: May 13, 2023, 03:22:49 AM
Seem odd to see someone who will really be searching those terms on Google as most of the time, beginners will normally just search poker or strategies to win. Whatever the reason for someone to search "crypto gambling" has no intention to play on online casino but just researching. And is the search term "USD gambling"
Just depend though, maybe individuals are curious as what could be the numbers of crypto vs fiat online gambling. Sort of just out of curiosity and that's it. Either you understand and favor the numbers that Google is giving us.

None of those search terms spark a trend but most probably gambling in fiat still wins the volume compared to people using crypto.
It's because gambling in fiat could be land base or those traditional big casinos that we have seen in Vegas, or simply those online games that have been here way before the advent of crypto based casinos.
1175  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc price preeiction on: May 12, 2023, 01:45:32 PM
Currently there is a lot of volatility in the market. It has become very difficult to make accurate market predictions amid such volatility. Bitcoin peaked at $31000 in April. Which is highest by 2023. However, since the beginning of May, the price of Bitcoin has started to fall again. Currently, the price of Bitcoin stands at $26400. At the moment the market position looks like Bitcoin will go down to $25,000 very soon. And in 2023, the Bitcoin market can reach a maximum of $40000 to $55000

The price of the coin will only vary, if we put some efforts to push it up. I know April had given many hopes to us, and May is disappointing, but it may be just a pull back before a big jump? Or maybe this is just a market manipulation done by big whales? Nevertheless we shouldn’t worry much about the price to be honest. Our only motive should be to accumulate more and more Bitcoins when the price falls. The more you accumulate, the more benefits you gonna get from it in future. We need to just hold our coins.
Either case, there is nothing to worry about, if it did go down to $25k, then I guess it's another buying region for us. I don't like to wait for the price or speculate that it will still go down further. If that $25k presents itself, then everyone should take advantage of it and see if it will go down more or if the price will bounce back.

As for the whales manipulation, it's already a given fact, that's why small fishes like us show go with the flow of this big whales and not go against them. If then want to pull the price down then good, take that as a opportunity to accumulate more.
1176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 12, 2023, 01:15:49 PM

So let's see if he can defeat Loma first, this is not going to be easy fight for him. Unlike in the Kambosos fight wherein he was able to break in George early, here Loma is equal or more boxing IQ than him and so as others said, this could be like a chess match wherein it's going to be a thinking game.

Kambosos is easy to read because he is not a technical boxer, but Loma, who has been in this industry for a while, possesses the experience that will be advantageous against him. This matchup is undoubtedly thrilling, with Haney being the favorite while Loma aims to prove himself, as some perceive him to be past his prime. While we cannot predict the outcome of this fight, I personally like to bet on the underdog.
Yes, if you count his amateur background, he has been in boxing for many years now and that's why he was able to built that much experience in the ring and become more technical as years goes by and thru the training that his father has given him.

As compare to George, who is much a brawler, and this could be the style that Haney can really match his skills. But this time, the fighter that he is facing is more skilled and experience but one thing that goes with Devin is that he is young and full of confident and maybe in his prime already. So this fight is really hard to see who is going to win and maybe I would say that there are bettors who's leaning toward Loma here.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 12, 2023, 01:00:50 PM
You could see the Suns give up half way through the second quarter. I think Ayton being out mentally messed them up before the game even started. This has been one of the harder games to watch in recent memory. The Suns were hard fouling and talking trash… I feel like they’re poor sports when things don’t go their way.
We've seen that many times. Trash talk, and hard fouls, mostly coming from Booker and Cam Payne. Much worst when Mikal Bridges was still there.
It's actually difficult to watch the entire 2nd half of the game. When I saw the Nuggets making 81 points in the first half, I say the Suns are really not playing defense and it will be contagious until the next half of the game and so it did. IIRC, the lowest they got was 19 points deficit and it didn't go below that until Jokic came back and made it 30 again.
There's no point in what KD is trying to achieve, he is the only one having the will to try and cut it but without help, there's just nothing he could do.

Tomorrow, we have games that will be electrifying. Both the Knicks and Warriors trying to survive their series and I am hoping they win so we could see three sets of Game 7's.  Grin That will be awesome to watch.
And the thing is, those trash talking really back fired on them big time, just like last year when they trash talk Luka and the rest of the Mavs. And the result? Booker and the Suns got eliminated worst than what the Nuggets did them here, but the numbers of Jokic though this series is astonishing as no one can really stop him, averaging triple double. Ayton? not sure what the future of him with Phoenix. And with this lost, the saga of CP3 still continues and we don't know if he can still keep up with his injuries next season with Durant.
1178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adoption for Bitcoin Advances amidst High Network Fee on: May 12, 2023, 03:13:12 AM
I'm not surprised by this because this has happened in the past. Despite the increase in fees, bitcoin continues to thrive despite the difficulties at this time when transaction fees are high. What we still need is to believe in the efforts of bitcoin and push the bitcoin community more strongly. So just expect Bitcoin to work again and move forward optimizing the Bitcoin network, improving the user experience, and maintaining its position as the leading digital currency.
This high fees might be temporary though, we have seen already that the developers are already looking at it, and who knows, they might come up with a good plan, (not necessarily soft fork), to combat the whole spamming of the network.

And bitcoin will continue to survived despite all of this attacks, although the price is going down this month due to this whole network congestion. We still have the bitcoin halving coming up next year that we all have been waiting for as the catalyst for a bull run. So adoption will definitely grow, this will not delay anything on the horizon.
1179  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is going to be the faith of other currencies in time to come. on: May 11, 2023, 09:48:38 AM
In deed we understand that things are now changing, technology is now eating so wild on the system of things in the world, and i wanna ask if it will not going to affect some countris currency,we have come to see the digital currencies how is growing and is expanding the coast of geting richer every day,do you think that one day this digital currencies will not dominate some country currency like ours,
Yet to be seen, for now we have CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency) or the like of digital Yuan and others. But we still don't know if they are going to take over or if even traditional currencies will one day be the reserved currency like the US dollar that we have right now.

No worries though, if that is the case then we are already ahead of the game, we've seen in crypto for years now and before the population can caught up, we are in top of the food chain so to speak.
1180  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear Market Reaches $27605 - Will the Downtrend Continue?" on: May 11, 2023, 09:01:21 AM
Halvening is still 1 year away, until then it will most likely be the sideways market, judging by the past markets. Now is a good time to buy if you can 100% afford to wait 2+ years. The short term remains highly unpredictable as always, so it's highly risky to do any short-term trades, because Bitcoin can go up or down by a lot very easily and very quickly.
I agree, it's just better to just buy at this point, no need to speculate if we are going to be $30k this month of May or remain at $27k and be sideways. And doesn't make sense to sell as well for short term profit, of course no one can stop someone from selling and make some profit margin.

But if you look at it, after halving a bull run will have to happen eventually. So it's better to just accumulate at this point, practice DCA and just be mentally tough not to sell and keep stacking sats till next year.
