I think it is safe to conclude the $40,000 DAI will cover signature campaign participants but what will happen to the remaining amount left over?

The 12% APR was quite high and maybe should have raised concerns at the time. I suppose it is the same with the Notes payout. Unfortunately, hindsight comes to mind. When people should have been suspecting Whirlwind to be scam is when they begin anonymity mining or something with 12% APR. I do not know much about it but it is like a way people will leave their bitcoin on on the centralized mixing service. Many people will be affected.
Another way that people can think of is when they begin paykng using note public key to the Whirlwind participants on this forum. Funds are paid from note public key into note public key. It would have been better if it is paid to individual bitcoin addresses on their self hosted wallet.

Looking back now it was risky. Another aspect of Notes was that you could transfer one balance to another note in entirety but you could not withdraw funds in entirety. For example, after withdrawing the previous balance (which was never paid), I was still left with around $8 which was too small for it to be processed. Those small amounts from signature campaign participants would have added up to be a worthwhile amount eventually. I don't know about you, but I think the whole idea of paying users in notes was kind of risky, in case they didn't work, and I guess now we see why; because they depend on the operator's presence to redeem. |

I have checked their onion website several times today (and immediately after reading your post) and it is definitely not down. The Whirlwind website is working. Notes are still being generated and the process allowing customers to deposit funds is still there. Basically, every front-end action seems to be working but behind the scenes the functionality is not working. The onion URL is now down since a few hours. - Either the server has been shut down and we can say it's now "officially" the end of the service - Either the server is down because there is someone working on the website. When I've read they should come back tomorrow, I consider it can take longer. We all have a life and sleep. So if it takes more than 24 hours, I'm not bothered. I'm the kind of guy who say "Don't worry miss, I'll be here at 8.00 am" but the truth is I come at 6.00 pm  |

I withdrew my BTC there without issue last week, however, it didn't work this time, the same as other people reported a few days ago.
I'm curious if other Whirlwind campaign participants are having the same problem withdrawing BTC? All those trying to withdraw are finding themselves in the same situation as you. We have to wait for the Whirlwind team to post here with an update, there is nothing more that can be done. |

As decodx stated, the clearnet version has been down for a long time. We were told it was under almost regular DDoS attack. The solution has always been to use Tor browser to access the .onion version of the Whirlwind website. Having said that, I cannot be the only one that has withdrawn from the Note today as soon as the campaign sheets were updated. I did not receive funds even though I also selected 0 hours withdrawal time therefore I would advise no mixing until or unless Whirlwind fix the issues. As for withdrawals, we will just have to wait until they fix it in order to receive our funds. The problem is different from mine. The main problem is withdrawal delay. But I am unable to open the site. If they are not able to open the site then how they will withdraw their fund? And I do not think they have too many visitors which will occur this type of problem.
As you are facing the same issue then it might be the problem of the site. |

And with that we reached the 20 week milestone without even noticing. Thank you for managing the campaign and for allowing me to participate. I cannot believe how around 5 months passed that fast. Round 20 Payments have been sent to your Notes!
Thank you all for yet another great week. Unfortunately I'm putting this campaign on hold indefinitely. I was hoping whirlwind would have come here and posted an update by now but we discussed the campaign among other things last night and right now it's looking like we will not continue with this campaign. It's been nearly 5 months and while I would have hoped things to turn out in a different way it is what it is. It's been an absolute pleasure to work with a lot of you, some for the first time, and hopefully we can do so again in the future.
I'm patiently waiting for whirlwind to come back to the forum with their update and comments regarding the "frozen" state of the site over this past week.
You can now remove your Signatures and Avatars and apply to other campaigns.

loginsam45 has had plenty of time to post here with any evidence to support his allegations. Though he has something tangible and worth considering when it comes to signing an Ethereum address for one of the accounts (he alleged were stolen), he has been unable to provide anything beyond that.
For that reason as well as sadly seeing it flooded by trolls and attention-seekers I have locked the thread. In future if loginsam45 does want to present anything to support his claims he can create a thread himself.

It has been more than one week since I posted in this thread therefore it is sad to see that the website is still operating. There has to be a responsibility on the shoulders of the domain registrar and web hosting company if they have been advised about the scam. At the moment it seems that the RippleAirDrop account was been banned on 8th August 2023 at but the RippleAirDrops account that was also created on 8th August 2023 is yet to make a post and is therefore yet to be banned. |

Salah did put the ball in the back of the net after a slick move but after the goal check he was shown to be marginally off-side therefore it was disallowed. Chelsea played well, it was their first game in charge for new manager Pochettino but I was surprised by how strong Liverpool looked when they were in the final third of the pitch. Salah looked as though he was playing with a renewed desire rather than lazily while collecting his weekly pay. As for Tottenham, they were always going to have a tough time without Kane being their talisman. I cannot see them finishing in the top five again this season. ^ Weird, I seem to remember that it was Liverpool 0 - 2 at the first half and wenr out right after the second goal. Didn't care to see the results and I'm surprised to see it's 1 - 1. I remember Dias getting the first goal then Salah next.
Anyway from the few highlights I saw, looks like it's gonna be a tough season for Tottenham, Haaland looks like he's gonna be +EV as anytime goal scorer and Brentford could be hard to beat at home.

It does not look good at all when the Cloudbet forum representative has not logged in since 9th January 2023. It virtually demonstrates they have given up as far as their involvement in the forum is concerned. You have locked your thread therefore it is not possible to post there but at least you managed to withdraw $10,000 yesterday. The remaining $30,000 is still pending according to your last post. Hopefully you will receive all outstanding funds soon. |

As far as the unprofessional behaviour is concerned, you are absolutely right. If they're continuing to accept deposits from people in full knowledge they cannot mix and return the funds then they should not be doing it. Also, if they were unable to give certain staff members permission to put that information on the website to temporarily stop deposits, it is another thing they will be able to look at to ensure it does not happen again. Hopefully they will post here with a comment when they have time. Excellent news, thank you for letting us know. Yeah, that's really good news, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. We still don't have any official word on what's happening with the service. And from what I know, there's still no confirmation that the withdrawals are actually working. There's no sign of any notifications or warnings on their website, and if I start the mixing process, the system will give me a deposit address. So basically, Whirlwind is still accepting deposits from people like everything's cool. But they know their system is down and you can't take out any money. Honestly, that's pretty messed up and unprofessional behavior for a business. |

Excellent news, thank you for letting us know. I got an email back from whirlwind just now and it was as I suspected - something happened.
Basically, main people lost access due to travels while people still with access didn't have the right credentials to solve basic issues that caused withdraws to get stuck on the back-end. I've been assured that nothing has been lost and that all will be taken care of tomorrow meaning all currently pending withdraws will be processed and things return back to normal. It was an unfortunate situation is all!
I've asked my contact at whirlwind to reply in this thread whenever they can with further details, so from now until then/tomorrow night there is no need to panic even if I wouldn't recommend you to deposit until the backlog is cleared. Campaign participants will also be paid out as per usual tomorrow, regardless of if you've removed your signature or not.

I cannot speak for others but that seems the course of action you have undertaken is probably the best move considering the circumstances. The Whirlwind team have put a lot of effort as well as finances into their mixing project therefore I am also hopeful there is no malicious intent on their part. Hopefully they will post here or send you an email with an update. I've put the campaign on hold for the time being, but I remain hopeful that this is due to something other than malicious intent. For now I would advise against depositing or even generating a new note on whirlwind. If you have a balance, save it down somewhere but don't withdraw the funds from it (since nothing is being processed you'd likely run a higher risk of it getting "lost"). Sucky situation and I do wonder what might have happened, the next few days will hopefully clear it up.

Keeping that aside for a moment, we do not know if the problem is a withdrawal issue is down to signature campaign participants trying to withdraw funds or whether clients using the website for mixing are sending funds but are getting nothing back. There do not seem to be claims of the latter therefore it could be confined to signature campaign participants only. It still would not make it right or acceptable of-course but it would narrow the problem. I'm a customer. I made a small deposit this morning and still haven't received anything back (with 0 hours delay on withdrawal).  I made the rookie mistake of not checking this thread earlier. I assumed everything was fine with the service. Maybe it's worth considering a temporary pause on the signature campaign and taking down all the signatures until things get sorted. If things work out, no harm done, but just in case they might pull an exit scam, it's better to stop the promotion sooner rather than later. Thank you for the confirmation that the problem is far bigger. It is not just affecting withdrawals from signature campaign participants, it is affecting customers who want to mix. I am sorry your funds were not delivered even though you selected 0 hours, hopefully they will sort this issue out and it will not be a worrying situation related to an exit-scam. With $40,000 DAI in escrow I am inclined to believe there is not exit scam but time will tell. I agree with the dude above.
We should stop to advertise a service that doesn't work, it's not like if the problems are here since only yesterday.

We shouldn't wait to have a thousand of users complaining. Without a doubt I agree. Some of us stake our forum reputation on companies and businesses using our avatars and signature space therefore the appropriate course of action has to be to stop promoting them. As hoped, if they clarified what happened and how they rectified (or intend to rectify) it, I hope their signature campaign would continue and I would like to be a part of it. If customers and clients are not able to use the Whirlwind service it means it should probably not be promoted until/unless we understand more. (edit: I've removed the signature on post #15600) |

Once again, happy independence day to those celebrating. At the least thread has been moved away from Meta and Reputation to Off-topic where it probably should have been from the moment it was created. It stands to reason because signature campaign participants usually have posts in Off-topic not counted towards their quota for pay, it is safe to say the purpose of the thread is defeated in more ways than one. It seems to be a new trend. It's time for all the patriots in their countries to celebrate holidays on the branch of reputation. But what about other users? Are these countries somehow connected to Bitcoin? I agree with you that it is more correct to celebrate all holidays that belong exclusively to local sections there. But, OP, the country is proud of a patriot like you! I would never have known when Pakistan celebrated its holiday if not for you.  |

Well, Lukaku was in demand several years ago. He had a line of clubs chasing his signature because he was doing well. Somehow, after he proved himself at Inter Milan he was targeted by Chelsea and it seems Tuchel did not want him. It must have been the technical directors who wanted Lukaku at Chelsea. Since then went on a spectacular collapse in goal scoring and form. He could have end up at Juventus according to reports but the latest is that now Tottenham are interested in making an offer. I think Pochettino should avoid buying him. As for Kane, I cannot his see career going in the same direction as Lukaku. He's even going as far to say he on a journey that has not ended and he would like to return to the Premier League and break the record set by Shearer. I would have comfortably shown Lukaku as one of the best a few centre-forwards in the world 3 years ago. However I don't think he can reach that level from now on. I think Tottenham should absolutely look for other alternatives. |
