1321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] YouTube Is Censoring Crypto Content, Channel Owners Say on: December 27, 2019, 08:32:16 PM
Kevin does look like Ryan Gosling.

Moving to Decentralize tube sites are wise thing to do, the consequences though is that there isn't much traffic from them and monetizing will be much difficult compare to those with youtube and adsense account. Maybe this time they can just upload their content on youtube and at the decentralie exchange as well but consider introducing these PeerTube, LBRY, BitChute, and DTube to their youtube subscribers.
1322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 3 Cryptocurrency Marketplaces on: December 27, 2019, 07:40:57 PM
I'm only aware of open bazaar but with open sea, why it is on number 1 on your article? And the same goes for the origin protocol. I don't know these marketplaces that you are suggesting.

Why not include the forum's marketplace categories? there are a lot of trades that's happening there.

A marketplace is a place where you can exchange crypto for products. Don't think about it as a place you exchange cryptos as that is more of an exchange concept.

Opensea - You can purchase ERC-271 tokens (items on the blockchain)

Origin Protocol and Open Bazaar - You can get items for your crypto.

When he mentioned marketplace the thing that came into my mind is exchange. I thought I'm gonna see binance on the list, so meaning marketplace mentioned is where you can purchase tokens or products that accept crypto tokens too.

Is these marketplace are well known to be honest never heard of it aside from Origin Protocol which come to my mind since Ive read of them before.

Same with me, when people mention the marketplace, people will immediately think that it is an exchanger and that immediately crossed is Binance or Huobi. Regarding opensea, I don't know him yet and maybe in the near future it will be a good marketplace for cryptocurrency adoption

Exchanges was also  the first in my mind when I read the article. Despite it being the top 3 as they only few of us knew except that Openbazaar. If all these three are going to survive when cryptocurrency can be massively adopted anywhere, this may just be a household name just like ebay or craigslist. But this is if they are going to be supported with fiat gateways.

1323  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What kind of crypto trading do you recommend with $50 investment? on: December 26, 2019, 08:42:45 PM

Not enough to trade and profit. $200 would be a considerable amount o begin trading on BTC/USDT probably just buy 1BNB with it so you can trade on binance. The only signal to watch out is the overbought and over sold thru RSI and I guess a trader will profit with little by little until the accumulated BTC are enough to trade with leverage.
1324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Outside bitcointalk project exposition, on: December 26, 2019, 06:42:22 PM

Your team were accused of having a fake members and plagiarized content, its really hard to get away with such accusation when there are proof of it. Your team will have a hard time convincing investors to buy the token on exchange. Some teams actually give up when they are already painted with negative rep and accusations that is hard to dispute. You can take it outside bitcointalk but investors will find the page eventually if they search about the project.
1325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of Coins that will start Staking features in 2020 on: December 26, 2019, 04:56:54 PM
It seems like a lot of great coins are starting to get into POS scheme. I am not a fan of stacking, because you need an insane amount of coins that you need to have and rewards are not worth it in my opinion.

Not for some tokens. For ADA you can stake just how much you can have, I saw a post in their thread they can stake with just 2K ADA on their wallet. And with its price right now that is just $0.04 you can afford to buy 5K more of it to ensure your profit when ADA's product will be launched. I'm sure the token will be valuable in the future. Its marketcap already is making its promise for its investors.
1326  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Potentially good project on: December 26, 2019, 03:06:55 PM

Projects like this only works if the team is honest but in reality we have no way of knowing that. Don't take it hard but its the truth.

Having a farm means its going to be a centralized project and when something happen to the farm everything gone back to zero, this farm is no way near to safety when it comes weather unlike having a POW coin. But check out the ZRcoin project. Its one example that project like yours can somehow be successful.
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins or Utility Tokens? on: December 25, 2019, 02:55:20 PM
If the new coin still will work as a store of value coin while no one is mining it, I'd just go for the token with utility that I can invest since it can be added  on DEX. Token build as ERC20 can be added on DEX, you can dumped them whenever you want. A coin developer will have to wait til an exchange will be interested in adding its coin. Both of them can be dumped eventually and all that will be left are the loyal supporters of the project ( likely the dev team)
1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10 Best performing cryptos of 2019,what have you played? on: December 25, 2019, 02:11:25 PM
Ethereum is the best cryptocurrency that I played in this current year. When the Ethereum got crashed last february where its price is at around $100, I bought bag of them. These kind of crashed is the perfect opportunity to buy ethereum as much as we can. I manage to sell it at around June where its price became $330 per each. It gave me 200% plus profit in these kind of strategy. There are many momentum cryptocurrency in the year 2019 and many traders see that kind of opportunity.

Just an example how volatile even when the token had been supported by a lot of users here in the forum, its still going to be dumped since the early investors got it for less than $1 compare to the new investors coming into the market.  It did perform well in the first months but was dumped eventually since investors are now expecting its ETH2.0 I guess them dumping ETH is a chance for new investors to also join them staking by next year.

One coin that is very much interesting is the Chainlink (LINK) which has been also going up just like the Huobi Token(HT) competing BNB.
1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of Coins that will start Staking features in 2020 on: December 25, 2019, 09:13:54 AM

There are some other tokens that I think are also going to be staking too but not on the list, VTX I think will also be staking. Enigma isn't very popular but it was create 2017, it had survived the bear market and I guess it will have bright future. Cardano I think already allow those who had their ADA on their wallet during the snapchat. Must be time to invest on it to stake your coins.
1330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving Block Reward Countdown on: December 22, 2019, 06:52:50 PM

The more I wait the more it feels 145 days to be too long of a waiting time. I'd rather not think of halving for now and enjoy the days where we can still accumulate some altcoins. The reason most of us wants the halving is because of the awaited bullrun which probably will happen few more months again after the halving so another months of waiting.
1331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price in 2020. on: December 22, 2019, 06:14:56 PM
recovery for SURE imo, the only real question is: when?  will ETH go into "2.0" in 2020? some people say not! Sad
The release of the complete upgrade will be delayed by the blog the ETH team released recently, it is never any easy process to completely change the protocol in a short period and expect everything should be fine.

IF it does, i think that will signal the recovery process, somany are stacking for PoS right now
its only miners dumping as most of them really overextended to get in on this "legal money printer" revolution this last year or two Sad
If you think that many are stacking the coins to have a monopoly on getting the rewards in the future why do you think that the miners would sell off their coins, they can stake the coins and even dominate the reward portion in that process as the user with the highest stacking will have the monopoly in getting the rewards.

While they are stacking, the whales are also thinking of making those who bought 32ETH to dump what they have because the Constantinople is crashing and POS might not be possible. Its unsure whether going to ETH2.0 will finally be over without some problems, there are people who were claiming its not possible to solve the scalability with sharding and all.

When the word about 32ETH came, people outside crypto suddenly are buying ETH. I hope they hold during the dip.
1332  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MoneroV - SCAM - Fake team on: December 22, 2019, 06:04:32 PM

They just created a new thread today which I checked this project was actually created last year, its only now that you finally checked it. Good job.

I did try to check it if I can invest to it while its cheap knowing that its supply was limited top 27M unlike the XMR. The coin is on two exchange with low volume too which is made me think it isn't worth.
1333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hacker: Sentenced two year suspended jail term, & six-month electronic curfew on: December 22, 2019, 04:19:57 PM

There might just have some deal done with him and Apple sort of a compromise that made a penalty lighter, he after all helped Apple learn the vulnerabilities of their system and probably made sure he didn't copy anything like that of the flapenning.  But why only $75K, he should have ask millions if he just have to commit this crime. $75K is nothing to Apple.
1334  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Singapore Blocks Withdrawals to Privacy-Focused Bitcoin Wallet on: December 22, 2019, 03:57:28 PM
So, this means Binance can detect coinjoin transactions as they please and block the user without giving proper explanation?

I understand this is for security but can't they at least let them withdraw and then block them for using the services before the issue is sorted? Things like this make smaller and scammy exchanges keep ripping off their users.

Most probably. Multiparties are almost like mixing the coins, receiving party does even know who send the coins and this could be considered by binance as the same thing with that of Catxolotl user. But I agree the coins must be returned back to the user at least or this will be used against everyone who send coins to any exchange who just want to do the exit scam. Centralize exchange wants transparency and they really will have to know where the coins are from. They are big surveillance system.
1335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Outclasses Other Cryptocurrencies as an Investment Option, Here’s Why on: December 21, 2019, 06:33:23 PM

When it comes to a discussion about bitcoin outclasses other cyrptocurencies, you can't disregard the technology behind it and only focus on it being investment option. The technology aspect has to explained and why they prefer to have bitcoin instead of other crypto because its where BTC dominates the most.
1336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ETERBASE: Europe's Premier Digital Asset Exchange on: December 21, 2019, 04:59:49 PM
I've witnessed the start of Eterbase and I think that you're going good in traction.
Of course, you are doing good by listing, but one thing to be clear people are kept complaining to the bounty manager that some of the bounty hunters have not received their bounty reward yet. So how long it will take to distribute the tokens to bounty hunters and already 6 months have been passed away.

That should be the responsibility of the bounty manager, as far as I know, but it is very unfortunate if Eterbase breaks the promise about payment. Sad
I did not participate in this bounty, but I am also concerned
I thought that it was distributed well because I've received my reward months ago.

I am one of the bounty participants and didn't receive my bounty as of now, even whenever I ask in the bounty telegram the bounty manager is not at all responding. Based on their previous payments I have joined in this Etherbase bounty and why they are taking too much time for the distribution?

All were distributed in our eterbase account already.  You must have missed it but I think sapta had done it right by the tally but its the eterbase team that distributes the tokens. They must have missed the ones who only joined in the mid of the campaign, upon checking you only joined on the month of July.

1337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong granted patent for sending BTC thru email on: December 21, 2019, 02:05:16 PM
if a bitcoin transaction using a username might be a lot cooler too, I might be able to think positively in this way the transaction would seem to be great if some coinabse users often make small amounts of transactions using bitcoin, so it doesn't pile up on the bitcoin transaction network, but I say before this it still didn't look great if it was done only for coinbase users
he has been fighting for this patent since 2015, so it's natural that many use something similar every year. If coinbase wins this patent, it means that all other services can still use it, but by following the fixed rules of coinbase.

I still think this is no different from the branch address system, but I don't know the details. What is clear is this feature will benefit users even though they can no longer avoid KYC etc.

I didn't know he was on it since 2015. If he was the first to have introduced the concept then he deserves the patent. Congrats to Brian Amstrong.

Its just surprising to see how many developers today have created innovations that weren't really patented in the name of opensource. Now that he got it patented then this will just be for Coinbase alone and they can sue which project uses it. I can really think of paypal when making transactions base on our email ID.
1338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is This Why Bitcoin Suddenly Rebounded Yesterday? on: December 21, 2019, 01:19:24 PM
Price spikes because traders realized its over sold so they quickly buy at a low price thinking they're getting in for cheaper price. Holder who panicked now has to buy at higher price, that's a sanction for trying to join the manipulation of the market.

If in days the price will once again dip, the weak hands will just get out to save their money. I guess they are too impatient to wait for months before price favors them so they are going to get out. Their sell order will be picked by those who wants to invest more that will lead to sudden price spike again.
1339  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Cebu City for digital nomads on: December 21, 2019, 12:02:53 PM
I think $20 is expensive  for him better for him to rent an apartment who are more bigger and the rent fee is cost $100 a month I think instead of $20 per night.  A city of Cebu is of the cities in the Philippines who are really popular because they have a good place and have different culture. If they are are going to cebu how long he going to live there o he decided to take a vacation only?

You can test your booking in https://www.booking.com set dates at makikita nya na maraming hotel offering 30 nights for less than 25K PHP.
My suggestion is PENSIONNE LA FLORENTINA dahil nakatira ako malapit dito nong nasa Cebu pa ako.

If you wanna see what your fellow tourist do in Cebu to rent space check this place https://www.livingincebuforums.com/forum/20-buying-or-renting-real-estate/

1340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teen crook hacked into 75 phones and stole $1M in cryptocurrency: authorities on: December 20, 2019, 08:26:24 PM

Reports are not detailed, it would be nice to know how he did the sim swapping for readers to be aware and avoid become a victim too.

Quote
The stolen $1 million came from just two victims, authorities said.

Just wow. some people really deserve to be robbed. I'm not saying that because they were rich but rich and careless. We poor people take care of every few dollars and there's no way I'd lose as little as $100 like that. If I had 100k it would be behind multiple levels of protection. Those people had so much and didn't care, kept it all online.

All that idiot bought with the money was watches and gay accessories. What a jerk.
To be honest I also think that some people deserve to be robbed,
But it isn't the lazy rich people for me it should be the corrupt people those who also steal from the people they should be the one's who deserve to get a taste of their own medicine.

It didn't mention where the coins are stored probably in the exchange, those phones probably belong to someone who does trading a lot. $1M for two accounts which both of them must have been good at doing their craft but carelessly become a victim of sim swapping.
