Secondly, these guys didn't get to be large holders by doing stupid things. They paid big money for this investment and are not going to flush it away. Why do exchanges store a huge even number of coins at a single address, where no coins seem to be going in or out? I mean, those top two addresses shown above each have only 1 transaction in (on the same day around the same time for both addresses, about five minutes apart) and 0 transactions out. Layers of storage. An exchange has a hot wallet/s, cold wallet/s and if they have a lot of coins colder wallet/s which rarely get accessed (case in point mtgox's 200k bitcoin address which was untouched for a long time). You will see similar in other coins with high trading volumes. |

Someone just scruwed the wales so badly..they were lowering their 50 BTC+ sell walls to lower the price and then BUM some buy from 43k to 53 in second ..there was 150 BTC+ sell orders in that range
The walls were removed when the first buy order hit them. I was watching it  no...i saw in trade history..someone bought from 43k to 53k in second..including one 44 btc sell wall on 44.5k and one 63btc sell wall on 45k No. The 63 btc sell wall was removed. However the other wall was partially eaten. Several people including myself posted simultaneously here that the wall was removed. |

I expect we're going to have to endure a few daytraders spreading gloom for the next 24 hours (ones that got caught on the wrong side of that dump and panic sold their coins thinking it was a legit crash).
The price has been rock solid for days and gradually increasing. 500 BTC worth of sales out of freaking nowhere is obviously someone trying to manipulate the market.

The speed with which that happened is very suspicious to me. I bet someone stocked up on a good amount of Blackcoin and their target for dumping them and hoping to cause panic was 50k. |

yeah it's going down now. i think more new bc just entered the market. might have to reset to 30k to distribute it all. unless someone is sitting on mintpal with 3000btc.. this sucker is going down for sure. He was making more money than he can count. I told him he needed to localize his app and expand ASAP. He didn't listen and another developer created a clone. I told my associate to acquire that app ASAP or it would eventually cut into his market share and destroy his profits. FAC, COMM, WC, AC, others... and MINT and FLT.
All promising to be the "next blackcoin". The boat has gone. Within a week there will be half a dozen more clones flooded onto the market.
It's always the first coin that catches the communities imagination that wins and any copycats rarely manage to replicate a quarter of the same success. It wouldn't make sense if all those coins I listed broke into the top 10 coinmarketcaps. Most are premined with coins for the dev anyway, which is death sentence for long term growth.
You'll notice a pattern in this community, a new coin comes along that gets success and then a flood of clones try to cash in on it.
- We saw this with DOGE coin and coins trying to be memes
- We saw this with the IPO wave of coins
- Then we had a wave of "country" coins
- Now the new flavour of the month is 100% POS coins
I honestly think a lot of people are going to get burned if they don't do their research. Either, pick the market leader (for 100% pos it's blackcoin, for meme coins its doge etc) or wait until the next new thing comes along and invest in that. Problem is the next new thing is risky, so you have to be willing to slap your bitcoins down on a coin that is very different and could easily fail.
I thought blackcoin only had 2% proof of stake in first year and defo not 100% stake first year.... asiacoin is only continental coin out there, and is only 100% proof of stake ive seen with few exceptions... or am i wrong? you have very good points though thanks for sharing Blackcoin is 100% proof of stake (and about 5-6 clones have sprung up in the last week). The rate of interest is 1%. Low rate of interest is a good thing btw. Look at MINT with it's 20% rate of interest. If you woke up tomorrow and found your wallet had increased by 20% most people would cash some of that free money in for profit... I know I would. Which is downwards pressure on the price. "Asia" is just a name. By country coins I meant the coins like Aurura which "air dropped" all the coins to all the people in the country. Asiacoin isn't an air drop coin. Cold Hard Facts
I was going to wait until tomorrow to post this, but I decided to post it now after catching up on pages of posts I missed.
Recently there have been some rumblings regarding WhiteCoin. I am not going to debate which coin is better, nor will I debate if WhiteCoin copied BlackCoin or not. In all honesty it doesn't matter if the WhiteCoin dev copied the source code line for line and just named it WhiteCoin. The point is there will be dozens of BlackCoin clones that are going to be released, so get use to it. This is why it is imperative to abandon the idea of slow and steady growth, and adopt a no prisoners mentality moving forward. The major advantage we as a community have over 99% of the other communities is our active dev team, active community, and partnerships with real corporations willing to do business with us. But we do not have an infinite amount of time. We must establish ourselves quickly and then defend the infrastructure we have established.
Moving forward we need more pools put online ASAP. These pools do not have to mine for profitability as the main pool, but to make sure coins like WhiteCoin are done before the get started. Mine & dump will make sure clones like WhiteCoin have a shelf life of two weeks max. Google is not the #1 search engine by singing kumbaya and playing footsie with their competition. Google is the #1 search engine because they eliminate any chance of any startup competing with them. Do not get comfortable with 9th place, we have to act as if we are in 100th place all the time. I took the initiative to buy enough WhiteCoins so if they end up becoming a "threat" I will dump enough cheap coins back onto the market that it will become another MintCoin. Do not feel sorry for any other community or coin. They would suck out all of the value out of BlackCoin if it would make them richer.
I have been contacted by several developers asking me to create a card for their coin, but I refuse because I made a promise to this community we will get to #1 together. This is the reason why I would not and will not release the source code publicly. All someone will do is just copy and paste the code, and then use our technology against us. If they want a card let them figure it out themselves. Note to all developers with competing coins, I am not going to make a card for your coin. It is nothing personal it is just business.
Today I am now willing to share some of the projects I am working on behind the scenes. One of my closest friends is the VP of one of the largest software publishing companies in Europe. His company acquired one of my products back in 2006. We are currently discussing being able to allow customers to purchase their products using BC. I am also working behind the scenes to try and use our other partnerships as leverage to establish a direct Fiat to BC and BC to Fiat exchange that is simple for anyone to use.
My plan is to use our resume of current partnerships to establish new more promising partnerships. This is what other communities do not have, and it is this that will allow us to become in the top 3 before by the end of Summer.
As I stated before the devs and I are planning something huge in May that will make the world take notice. This is not hype or me trying to "pump" the price, this is a promise I am making to this community. The two press releases we did will seem like amateur hour compared to our future plans. If you want to sell now and looking for a quick profit then go right ahead and sell. If you are on the sidelines waiting, then buy all of the BC you can now. Because in June everyone who sold will be posting "I should have listened to Iconic"...and everyone who bought will be posting "I am glad I listened to Iconic"....

Btw Asiacoin is one of the bext clones IMO. But I would still be extremely wary of investing. I've made a LOT out of blackcoin and could easily put 5% of my profits into one of these many clones but I see only the same thing happening as with the previous "waves" of copycats I list above. BC over 50k now. Bought more bc when it was 45k I think it will go beyond 60k late this night! It can even retest 90k because people come back to BC and pump it. That's not what we want. 52-55k is good for today. We need to create floors and stability, remember what happened last time.. +1. This is what I said yesterday: Remember we are 15% up from yesterday. After a Blackcoin crash, the upswing is always more patient and comservative... 10% here, 20% there. The next mega epic pump will come when we break the 100k barrier. But quite frankly I am delighted to just continue plodding along making 10% gains. It skips the panic dumps that always happen if you go up too fast.That said I expect the pace to pick up once we break 60k... a lot of the people who panic dumped last time are still sitting on the sidelines watching I bet. When we go back up to that height they will rush back in and there will be some panic buying imo. |

Couldn't agree more. The BC community is full of arrogance. I think it was the same during the heydays of MINT (and we still have some, but much less than before - stupid people leave when the money leaves and the one who stay are of a much more agreeable company). I guess money makes people crazy, they don't even respect each other (how many times did I read "full of shit, idiot, dumbass" and other nice name -and no, it was not directed at me).
Believe my experience from Mintcoin: the next days will be the harshest ones. Then your morale will rise again because you will find yourself a new goal. Look at the Kubler-Ross model on the five stages of grief. Blackcoin for now is somewhere between Denial and Bargaining. The next days will be Depression - that's the harsh part. Then I have a good news: the final stage of Acceptance will make you feel better. Some will move on to other things and the hardcore community will find itself a new goal.
Why do you insist on comparing BlackCoin to MintCoin? MintCoin is a slowly dying currency with a community that seems to focus on what the BC community is doing instead of trying to resuscitate MintCoin.+1. MINT is pre-mined rubbish and is lucky to pull 50 BTC trading volume on a good day. The price has barely moved for weeks. And it's been nowhere near BC's market cap. The irony is there was 5 times more people spreading FUD in the blackcoin topic then there were of people spreading FUD in the MINT coin topic. |
