1421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins airdrops you received so far for the year 2023 on: December 01, 2023, 08:54:31 PM
None.
Because many of them requires investments from their mother network/token and that's why I didn't join any of them. But those that are risk takers and manage to spend more than $20 on those, you guys are legend.
You deserve all the airdrops that you've got and this year has been an amazing year because a lot of things have happened in the airdrops and too many successful projects when you've launched.
yes airdrop right now requires so much money to invest, i remember lately that blast airdrop requires you to at least invest 1 ethereum to get a spin a week and we still even dont know whether that point earned would be of any use thats the thing with retroactive airdrop we don't have a clue how the airdrop will be distributed as well as whats the qualification.
the most important thing is to interact with the blockchain but even then without obvious qualification being revealed we might potentially wasting so much money just to get qualification even when
the reward would be just some small reward that the reward might be lesser than money spent for interacting with the smart contract, I think thats the problem with retrospective airdrop, only good project with massive market capitalization i think should be the one that make retroactive airdrop.
That is why I hate those influencers or individuals that shared their profits in airdrops and making people stupid for believing that they've got those money for free. The difference from 2017 and below with airdrops is large, those were like the golden years of airdrops where no money was really required for the participants. Am I jealous with those that have shared and made money from this year's airdrop? Maybe yes but maybe no too.
1422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing altcoins now or during halving? on: December 01, 2023, 08:24:40 PM
It depends on when I can avail them but if I invest, I'd do it before the halving happens. Just as bitcoin does, most of the altcoins are also going to move anyway after Bitcoin's reaction after the halving. If you have a better choice and you're able to buy at the same season then that's much better. You'll also DCA just as what everyone does with Bitcoin, if you are able to do so with altcoins and you should have done it before the halving for actual Bitcoin so you don't miss both ends.

In selecting alts, it is still best to invest on alts with actual use case as it will have reason to survive in the market.
Also, as much as possible, with active development and visibility from the dev team themselves.
Aside from bitcoin, there are truly worthwhile alts to look at. But should really do your own assessment on their existence.
I reckon about alts that have real use cases. But we can also see that this market have people that are interested over nonsense altcoins and they're pumping. I am not saying people should invest on those because no matter what happens, it's your money and I am just saying that there were pumps that do happen like those, right? It's gonna be a choice of yours on how you'd be selecting them because not all alts are worth to invest but can't also deny that even the most worthless alt can pump due to hype.

1424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto.com app customer help down? on: December 01, 2023, 07:12:51 PM
I have been trying to get through to customer care on the app for over 72 hours and had no reply.

They usually reply within an hour is anyone else having this problem?

I have tried contacting them on the chat online too and also no reply for over 24 hours.
No one's gonna help you here because they don't have a forum representative. And that's why your only hope is go get them again and keep on following up your concern.
So, you contact them again and again because the ticket might have been covered up by other concerns that are also doing the same thing as you and that's what you need to do.
I haven't used them and yeah, not having any answer for 24 hours is something odd for a known crypto exchange.
1425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap is accused of extortion! on: December 01, 2023, 01:24:10 PM
Honestly, I like CMC more before they've been acquired by Binance. Although it's undeniable that there have been improvements about their graphics and stuff. But if we're going to take a look at incidents like this, it's not really desiring anymore to rely data of the market through them.
That's why it's nice to see that there are also other analytical stats website that are being founded that can compete against them. They may have accuracy based on their metrics through their platform but yeah, it could not be accurate in other websites.

This, I consider CMC nowadays is just one of binance's marketing tools, even if coingecko and others have their very dubious things (like the no-so-good finexbox exhange having a tusting score of 7/10 in coingecko) they at least are less openly a rating shop
Yeah, if there are other known websites that provides the same data as CMC, they should continue their service and try to compete with them together with coingecko. Because being acquired by Binance means that they can take advantage of them.

Same as I do back in 2014-2015 Coinmarketcap became one stop to any user in bitcointalk with just simple web that show pretty much anything after they acquired by binance the User Interface looks good but the revamp make the site even heavier my 2015 old laptop now cannot handle it.

This news makes it even look worse for now Im just check in to CMC get their Diamond reward and getout
I don't even go there to try those diamond and login stuff. I'm just using them for plainly checking it but if that seems to be an interesting thing then I might even try it.
1426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you guys think on: December 01, 2023, 11:18:16 AM
The thread was posted two years ago and that's the time during the bull run. So if we're going to look at the timeframe again, next year halving will takes place, actually it's just within the next few months and it won't take any longer and less than a year.
Basically, this is the time and it's the best to make your portfolios setup before the bull run and that's how you're going to make it even better. Prepare ye the portfolio that you have and buy the necessary cryptos that shall go up IYO.
1427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are altcoins important? on: December 01, 2023, 01:36:18 AM
investing in alts may be profitable in some ways but that is true should really take time to contemplate on these projects as they are actually hard to determine if you will be on the positive or negative side.
The intrigued investors will contemplate on the projects that they're looking at. But those hype investors won't mind in doing their research because it's all about the hype.

most are just depending on how the team behind is manipulating their market performance, without any solid back up of their existence, hence, traders are waiting for their pump and dump scheme to earn profits.
Well, this is nothing new to the industry. There are projects that do hype their records and sales for investors to come in to them and that's a way to manipulate their own projects and if they're doing it to gain sales of the tokens, they're fooling people aren't so they aren't to be trusted.
1428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PEPE time to buy NOW? on: November 30, 2023, 11:42:54 PM
The price is delicious. Hope the coin doesn't turn into a scam
People love memes and that's why it is staying. I am not recommending it to anyone to buy it but if you guys want to buy it, it's up to you if you like to have it. Because the market of it seems to be pretty high despite that it is already pass it's ATH. And I mean to say high because it's still part of the top 100 and there's a liquidity that everyone can see. So, if someone gets to buy it and want to sell it immediately, you can because it has got a lot of exchanges support as well.
1429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: P2p market not bitcoin centric on: November 30, 2023, 11:18:19 PM

This is the only difference between those that have been mentioned and the ones that we're saying to you about being on CEX and P2P.

It is a huge difference full of technical, legal, economic and ideological implications (and not the only one, bisq accept amazon gift card, as example).
I meant decentralized p2p in my question, not those fake p2p from CEX, sorry if i expressed myself wrongly. Anyway i am open to discussion and i considered for a moment fake p2ps.
That's fine, as much as we are seeing different markets. The good thing here is that there's a competition but it's not as strong as what the consumers/users need.
The majority of the volume goes to these P2P CEXes because people are there and with these suggested P2p markets, they are good no doubt. But the volume aren't the same as the cexes.
1430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: P2p market not bitcoin centric on: November 30, 2023, 10:45:09 PM
p2p and CEX have diferent properties.
Binance is a CEX but it has a P2P market and just as the other exchanges, they have their spot market and at the same time a separate market for P2P.

Some CEX have p2p, but they demand KYC.
Well, you got it. This is the only difference between those that have been mentioned and the ones that we're saying to you about being on CEX and P2P.
1431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SBTC I want to explore the possibilities of distributing $1 worth of a 21M token on: November 30, 2023, 10:16:42 PM
Hello,

I want to explore the possibilities of airdropping 21 million units of a token to everyone. ¿What is the best way to do that? I have a website where people can ask for their share, but it's really messy to airdrop, and it's very expensive to do it this way. There is currently a small community of 800 real token holders. I distributed some tokens already in different communities.

I plan to Airdrop all of the supply minus the share I purchased from the market.

If you would like to know more and help, please share your thoughts.
You're going to airdrop 21 million of that token and then you don't think airdrop is cheap because it is going to cost you money. I don't understand, there's no cost at all but the effort that you're going to airdrop that coin. Anyway, this is named after BTC, I'm not expecting a lot from it even if you successfully airdropped and distribute it to many people.

The purpose of this thread is to get some ideas on how to efficiently Airdrop the token, without using bots basically
If this is the purpose, good luck.
1432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins airdrops you received so far for the year 2023 on: November 30, 2023, 09:47:21 PM

1433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your ideal altcoin? on: November 30, 2023, 09:03:31 PM
1, POW or POS?
2, Limited total amount like BTC or unlimited amount like XMR?
3, ASIC-resistant or ASIC-friendly?
4, With ICO or without ICO?
5, With or without pre-mining?
6, Dose development teams rewarded or not?
7, Or do you only care about price and whether it can bring you profit?
I don't want to make a new altcoin and will say that it solves a problem that other projects don't. But okay, let's have it. No premining, no ICO and just typical launch in the market that won't make it look like a cash cow being the dev of it.
Obviously, I want it to be PoW so that it's going to be secured and for the miners to have another choice of altcoin to mine since there's no longer ETH. Who knows if that's the next altcoin mining craze as choice of many.
1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What tips you will give to a new investor to identify scam projects early ? on: November 30, 2023, 12:18:21 PM
The best thing that a newbie investor can look at is with the developers and everyone who's part of a project. Looking at the team, if you are familiar with some known notorious developers then you're not going to waste your time looking at them.
And if you find someone that's not real like a grabbed photo and name then that's another factor why you need to avoid that project and even if they're good in the marketing and enticing you as investors.
1435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Really Burn helps Token in positive way? on: November 29, 2023, 11:37:24 PM
If you are afraid to risk your money in such tokens, then do as I did. My opinion is that it is better to invest not your own money, but those that won for example in Cash Giving Day tournament there the conditions are very simple and everyone can get a small amount for future investments
I have thought of other things on this one when you have said that people shouldn't invest with their own money. Well, I've thought of investing others money but no. It's better to invest only with your spare money from wherever it come from. Not everyday there are tournaments and not everyone is able to participate into these type of tournaments and that's why they don't have that type of money but if it's about the spare, many of us do have.
1436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is more profitable? on: November 29, 2023, 11:06:26 PM
Indeed, Bitcoin is profitable and I have been holding that and that's why I am in profit since I have purchased and held it. As for some altcoins, they're also profitable but it's a different feeling that you're going to hold it for long. If you don't, there are other options to make aside from those altcoins and if you get tired, there's always Bitcoin that's waiting for you to hold it. You get to see why many folks are holding it and it is the main reason why this market is keeping itself up.
1437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How high will your altcoin go? check it out with this tool on: November 29, 2023, 06:36:22 PM
I used to do these calculations from the cryptos that I have held and anticipates that their market cap increases. This is a good website. I didn't know that there's one in existence but after seeing this, I guess that there are other websites too that have this type of service.
Thanks for sharing OP.

I don't think prediction is the correct term, it's more of calculation the ideal price of a coin if it's reach a certain market-cap
Yeah, it's actually calculating how much the value per coin depending on the supply and market cap of it.
1438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is SPS Splinterlands A 100x Gaming Token?! on: November 29, 2023, 05:57:35 PM
snip

We have thousands of people in our discord, it never stops, thousands of messages a day in several different chatrooms. We have people traveling from Europe, Australia and asia to meet up for Splinterlands festival in America. People flying across the world to meet up Smiley
Wow, interesting and making me enticed to what you've said. I'll go and take a look for more about SPS and Splinterlands of course. Since I am also into games, I'll go and look if I've got some spare to invest on it.
But before that, I still need to know more about the entire ecosystem of it like knowing the basics of it and its chain.

1439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins do you think are currently still cheap but have good potential for on: November 29, 2023, 05:23:58 PM
I may be wrong but that's what it is and you said what they really lack of. But it all ends up to I say that the devs haven't seen that part to maintain their position in the market.
But maybe this time, they'll look at that part to see that they need to engage a lot with their communities because if they do that. A lot of free marketing will be done towards them.
there are team that silently acting towards their upgrade or updates but we must remember that engaging to the community and the whole crypto world is the most effective way to gain investors and supporters.
what is the sense of working when after the upgrade you already lose your supporters because of lack of activities .
you are correct in this part and the ZIL team must act accordingly if they truly wanted to stay longer in this market.
You got it.
That's why he's right on it when he's said that the devs might be working hard for everything about the project. But when it's about the engagement and every stuff that needs to do for the community, they lack of it.
Anyway, Zil is still having a huge daily volume and that can be said as part of it being one of known projects still this date.
1440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk predicts X will replace banks in 2024 - The Verge on: November 29, 2023, 04:51:00 PM
IMHO, that's better be left there as fantasy. But we also knew that Elon is such a crazy guy and will try to do shits that he can for something that he wants to take.
I've heard of that plan before that he wants to do some super app and that's through Twitter and the changes are happening so, coming from that name and rebranding it into X.
Now, it's still far from replacing the banks but I know that with a short span of time if something have been changed for the better then it only means that he might do that but I am not optimistic on it.
