I wonder what the ratio of male/female BTC miners are..

100/0 male to female ratio.

98/2, it seems :-)

Nah. Still 100/0 unless proof  Wink.

Ooooooooook. I'll prove it in a few days. And you'll pay for it. Obviously in BTC :-D

Oh are you one of them women? haha.

And notice how your thread has two pages already when the others barely get a few replies?  Grin

I wonder how much hilariousandco is willing to pay to see the proof...isn't 0.1 BTC your going rate for proof? Tongue

Ahahhahhha.  I don't know, can I start a bid for a private proof sent via mail? :-D

You can certainly try. I guarantee you'll get a lot more money sent "donated" to you by people perves if you post pics here though. Not by me of course, but you will get some. Just check Monica's thread out (now see how many pages hers has got  Grin).
I didn't know about that.  Shocked Crazy!

Seriously, we have to think about it. To return in topic, has this website a correct average of BTX value? --> http://preev.com/

Yes, pretty much. It is an average price of a handful of the major exchanges and updates constantly.
16762  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Litecoin Mining - is it profitable? on: January 20, 2014, 11:01:20 AM
Thanks for all the help. Going to start mining DOGE, purely to see how it all works. Never mined before so it's more about that for me. And if I make a profit then great  Grin

Let us know how it goes, but wouldn't it be better maybe mining another coin? I heard/think Doge is on its way down in mining profitability, popularity and price.
16763  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: January 20, 2014, 10:58:50 AM
Please whitelist me, I have been reading this site over 6 months and have been mining with a asic since mid october (knc). I got what I feel is a really good idea to spread the word about bitcoin to the masses yesterday watching the movie "BLOW". for those unfamilier with the plot its about the cocaine industry taking hold in America, Jonny Depp stars in this and quickly becomes a huge smuggler and seller of cocaine. In the movie some friends of his ask what lead to his huge success, he says that as soon as the music industry got hold of it, that it was unstoppable.

I propose that we send some msgs to rappers out there. get them to start talking about bitcoin in their songs. get them to add bitcoin addresses to their youtube profiles. If there is one thing other than sex and drugs rappers talk about its MONEY.  ok thanks, hope Im let out =)

You're already a Jnr member and Newbies are no longer restricted to this forum now.

Which begs the question - how did other escrow "agents" get started in the biz. Sounds like a complete catch 22. Did they just do some private deals and get a positive trust rating first? Then move into the escrow biz?

People ask me to escrow all the time.  I have never lent or borrowed BTC myself.     I guess they just notice the people who are active and active in a positive way.  I have invested so much time into the community that it is unlikely I would run with the coins.

Classic long-con logic. Caught you!  Grin It's probably because of your involvement in the community and your green Trust: 1: -0 / +3(3) rating. But yeah, I agree you should only let people hold on to your money who seem to be long standing active members as they probably care more about the community and rep than scamming you out of your 0.05BTC  Cheesy.
16765  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how do you earn trust points? on: January 20, 2014, 10:48:45 AM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust

Note: there is also a Default Trust list, with presumably trustful people. I believe those on your trust list weigh more heavily when displaying trust. (I could be wrong.)

The people on that list weigh far heavier on trust. I think to get green or red trust to show up on your profile you need to have positive or negative feedback from one of these people on the trusted list. It's quite a confusing system and is unfortunately easily manipulated.
16766  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How come I can't post?? on: January 20, 2014, 10:43:31 AM
I'm also new poster, but it seems easy by reading the rules! Spend four hours in newbie forum and make five posts, ten before you're allowed link in signature.

how come Ive made lots more posts here and in other parts of this forum and PMs and been logged in almost 6 hours
and I have the 6 minute IP limit?

The 360 second limit will go away as you reach jr member (15 activity)

It doesn't go away entirely, but goes down each time you get more activity. My timelimit is only 28 seconds now.

Edit the first post (OP) and press Additional options -> lock thread.

Crikey - you can't be an escrow agent if you get upset like this. Its not like anyone said anything bad about you dude. Escrow agents have to deal with all kinds of s***

People who offer escrow services like this are either A) genuine but really naive and just want to build up rep but get a bruised ego when you question their motives, or B) Scammers, who get upset/annoyed that they're not going to get any easy free money.

I think he was just naive ..... or maybe that's me being naive

Maybe he was both naive and a scammer? Most usually are if they go this route Cheesy.

What is the significance of the 3 finger gesture?

Failed Vulcan salute?

Haha. Maybe. I can do the salute with my right hand but my left goes like hers, so maybe she hasn't mastered it yet  Cheesy.

I'm the opposite.  Left hand perfect but right is lacking.

Are you left-handed?

No!  I am right handed!!!  You think I would have less dexterity in my left hand....

(edit:  I hate to have this conversation in a NSFW thread... let's not disappoint people...)

Yeah, that's weird.

And there's more pictures here if people are interested: http://www.reddit.com/user/RedheadCoinWhore  Grin
16769  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you even lift? on: January 20, 2014, 10:30:42 AM
yeah I do lift, try to lift more though, cuz I'm not lifting for a few days.
I have my own personal gym at home with enough equipment Grin

Me too. I might buy a rowing machine this week. Need to do some decent cardio, but jogging gives me blisters.

I lift occasionally when I work out, but I am not a bodybuilder myself. I am more focused on not becoming fat, if you get what I mean.
this guy just like me. I'm not a bodybuilder, however I try to get a fairly ripped body and in shape, which means not having fat Grin

Are you fairly ripped like this?

What's the best thing about having sex with twenty nine year olds?

They're old enough to be emotionally mature but young enough to still maintain a youthful physical appearance.

There's twenty of them?

what kind of joke do you want to hear Grin

Paedophilic ones Cheesy.

16773  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why can't I change my avatar? on: January 20, 2014, 10:14:53 AM
You can't either-check. I love Bubbles and Trailer Park Boys but its time for a change...

you cant even add one yet if you didnt do so before the hack sitch... brb let me check again

I got an idea! Why doesn't theymos put up a tip jar to garner some bitcoins so that he can upgrade the forum, thus allowing users to upload avatars?

Is there an award for the best suggestion of the year?

~TMIBTCITW

I don't think any amount of tips/donations would get theymos to sort this out any quicker haha.

He could pay someone else to do it. So many forums out there have been hacked in the past, but full functionalities are usually restored in a matter of days Smiley

New forum software is apparently coming 'soon' so it probably wouldn't be worth it.

"soon" can be a second, minute, hour, day, week, month, year?

Hence why I said 'apparently' and 'soon'.
"soon" must be in near future Grin

Sooner or later Smiley

How soon is now?

haha Sex and the city... you rule mr hilarious...

Looks like you might have some competition, Monica  Grin.

In this section, all the newbies should post their coino wallets for promos

You can do that over in the alt coin section. There are lots of promos and giveaways there, so there's no need to spam wallets everywhere.
16777  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ive done all to get rid of the restriction but it still limits me on: January 20, 2014, 09:59:37 AM

clearly its all gone to shit and you should re-register. unless the key part is that you still havnt waited the full 6 hours, id bet its that. sorry im just waiting and posting doing the same as you.... wish i could get out of here ha!

There's nothing wrong here. The time limits go down the more activity you gain. Mine is only 28 seconds.

Hi this is Future Money Trends. Our website is http://FutureMoneyTrends.com

16779  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie Introduction / Moneypak -> BTC trading advice? on: January 20, 2014, 09:54:30 AM
Greetings! I am a brand new member on these forums and would like to extend a friendly hello to all it's members Smiley

Currently, I am mainly here looking to trade some Moneypaks I have for BTC. I originally bought them hoping to get coins off localbitcoins, however all the Moneypak exchanges are $200+ over the market value.  I have 6 cards, with $300 on each. I am able to provide pictures of the recipt next to the unscratched Moneypak, as well as an endorsement with my username on the recipt. Any advice on connecting with legit sellers on this site, as well anything I can do further to guarentee a smooth and safe transaction  for both parties would be much appriciated!

Post your offer over on the marketplace.
16780  Other / Meta / Re: End of newbie restrictions; ban changes on: January 20, 2014, 09:53:43 AM
Cool. Lets see how that works out.

But I suggest that a "Beginners & Help" section would still be useful to not have the same reoccurring questions twice a day in the General Discussions.

Yeah, maybe keeping the newbie section is still a good idea. I think all the crap that was in there will now just spill out into the other forums. Interesting to see what happens.
