What ?
Am I on IGNORE ?
Are my suggestions so stupid that they don't even get a response anymore ?
1682  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: I got my FPGA Mining Controller....how about you ? on: February 29, 2012, 09:29:25 PM
And you think this was appropriate for this board, how?
Sorry Diablo....I got a little carried away.
You know how it is, you can only put up with stupidity for so long at times.....especially when people can't even read what you type, yet still feel the need to comment.

I will control my replies better next time.
1683  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: February 29, 2012, 09:08:38 PM
I would like to see Pirate setup a PRIVATE PROP Pool for GPUMAX Miners ONLY, that ONLY GPUMAX accounts (through the management interface) can be pointed to......so no outside interference.

This would make purchases USEFUL.....

When no LEASE work is available, it can act as an OFFLINE pool for those who choose.

When purchases are made, people can point tons of power at it and play the 'lottery' Wink

Either way, it's a win/win for GPUMAX.

<EDIT>
Or maybe a deal can be worked out with a known Pool OP that would only allow GPUMAX Proxy connections to a PROP pool ? ...so NO outside hopping possible ?
1684  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 5850 and 5970 on: February 29, 2012, 08:25:57 PM
If you want to buy and dont mind waiting PM me.

As in, pay now and wait till you get your 7990's ?
Sorry, I don't understand.
1685  Economy / Computer hardware / WTB: 2x 5850 Reference Cards on: February 29, 2012, 08:20:13 PM
Yes, they MUST me 5850 Reference Cards....
I am 2 cards short to complete another 5 card rig and want them all to be the same..... Obsessive Compulsive Disorder...LOL

I will pay up to $300 inc. Shipping to Calgary, Canada....for a PAIR of 5850 Reference 1GB Cards.

1686  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 5850 and 5970 on: February 29, 2012, 08:15:48 PM
I cant ship till i have my 7990's. If you want i can PM you in 2 weeks when i am ready to ship. If you need them now i cant help you.

As long as you promise to put my name on 5 of them and PM me with dibs, I can do that Wink

I will try find a few others in the mean time.

I like yours due to the fact that my OCD causes me to need matching cards....LOL

yes, obsessive compulsive disorder...LMAO
1687  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 5850 and 5970 on: February 29, 2012, 08:06:26 PM
Probably not. Its gonna cost $50 to ship. But i do want my cards gone when i get 7990's so i may PM you if i dont have a better offer.
What about pulling them and doing a re-pack with cards + power/molex adapter only in a small box ? ....

With free shipping in the US, can it really be $10 per card more to ship to Canada if 5 are shipped ? ($50 more ?)

The only thing is, I am looking to buy ASAP.....hopefully you can still sell and not have to wait for 7990's to be released.
1688  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 5850 and 5970 on: February 29, 2012, 07:58:42 PM
Since the case in the pic above seems to hold 5 video cards (5850's) how about $600 USD for 5x 5850's shipped to Calgary, Canada .....?
1689  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: I got my FPGA Mining Controller....how about you ? on: February 29, 2012, 12:52:40 PM
Bitlane, that's cool. And, if you remove the hard drive and run it off of a USB stick, you can save a few watts.

Unfortunately I am a Windows Man....lol....so it will get an SSD and a quick and dirty install of Win7, along with all of the other stuff that I am using in my regular Windows Mining Farm (CGMiner, VNC software etc). Nice and simple.

If I recall the numbers you won't have enough time to recoup the $3600 for the BFLs with only 4-6 months of mining.

12-(2+4) = 6
or
12-(2+6) = 4

You have free power? That would help.
LOL...no, the 4-6 months is when the BFL units would ship out to the regular public after pre-orders are all filled Wink

Well maybe you don't know this. The current reward will be halved in Dec. (a.k.a. 12th month). So how do your profit numbers look?
You'll have 3-5 months actually since March is close. Does the math confuse you? There are some online calculators.

JESUS H. CHRIST....

I NEVER MENTIONED ANYTHING IN REGARDS TO PROFIT, PAYBACK OR RECOVERY......GET OVER YOURSELF.

MY TIME-BASED COMMENT WAS THE TIME THAT I WOULD ACTUALLY RECEIVE A UNIT AFTER PRE-ORDERS WERE FILLED AND THE JOKE ABOUT BFL'S DELIVERY TIME.
....now take that online calculator and shove it up your ass.

Quit trying to read between the lines and simple read WHAT IS WRITTEN IN THE OP.

If I was worried about ROI, I wouldn't have ever considered purchasing new hardware at this point in the game...so YES, I know about rewards-halving.....

FUCK OFF...

1691  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER GPU FPGA overclock monitor fanspeed GCN RPC linux/windows/osx 2.3.1 on: February 29, 2012, 12:03:31 PM
First off, this is going to sound extremely STUPID because I know neither how to code or the proper questions to ask.....lol

'Efficiency' (E)
Can this value be queried using RPC ? or does this value have to be calculated locally using 'Q' and 'A' (say, for a monitoring Script)....?

ie. I can retreive the ACCEPTED value per miner (A) value using ($value['Accepted'])......the REJECTED value per miner using ($value['Rejected'])

I have tried throwing in 'Efficiency' as a tag and can't seem to get a value per miner for it. A little help ?

Again, I apologize for soiling the sanctity of coding....and for being so stupid...lol

I bought this little baby a couple years back to play around with.
Since then, it has served as a HTPC, a network appliance, a regular kid's PC and now to end it's life in fashion.......

It's my new FPGA Controller Wink  .....as soon as I can get a few BFL Singles that is....LOL

Did someone say, 6 USB Ports, Gigabit LAN and sub-60W power consumption ? ?

Here's what I hope things will look like soon (4-6 we....er.....months ?):

1694  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: February 28, 2012, 04:41:34 AM
Just to be clear....

Payments will be processed at 1:00am from now on ?

I understand tonight's payment was smaller due to changing payout time, but what time of day will payments be made from now on ?

I am hoping that there isn't a half day hold on funds (ie. cut off time 1:00am, then payments sent 12 hours later).

Pirate, could you clarify please ?
1695  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: February 27, 2012, 11:53:46 PM
We don't guarantee speeds, we send shares as fast as possible.  Its just the luck of the draw.
HHhmmm..... That doesn't sound right, considering there are 2 pricing tiers, one of them being High Priority, at a higher price.

I realize that the service is still in it's infancy, but if 'blasting' a pool's round with insane speeds is not a possibility, then I am seeing less and less use for the service in the future considering the 'next generation' payment methods used by 99% of pools currently. I honestly fail to see the gain, other than being a miner who sells shares through the service...but WHO will continue to purchase ? and for what reason ?

Perhaps 6 months ago, when PROP Pools still existed in greater numbers, the relevance of such a service with a guarantee for shares delivered (but not the speed at which they were delivered) would have been made more sense.
Statements such as 'We don't guarantee speeds' leaves me questioning the potential and future proposed usage model for GPUMAX... and how GPUMAX plans to survive in the future if raw speed is in fact NOT a guaranteed feature....still, only shares delivered.....  ?

Sorry for the '20 Questions', especially considering how long I have been using the service to manage and sell my hashing power.
I am just trying to better understand it from the 'other' side of the coin....
1696  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: February 27, 2012, 07:45:24 PM
Hey Pirate, did you have a chance to read this:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=55819.msg771559#msg771559

...and maybe look into why my share delivery was so slow (and continued to slow down over time) compared to what I have been seeing others post ?
I got royally screwed on that 4.4 BTC purchase I think..... definitely not what I was expecting based on other's testimonials.

Could you perhaps have a look into it and tell me what you think if you have some spare time ?
Cheers,
bitlane.

Where are they shipping from ?
1698  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Nice shopping tool (Canada only) on: February 27, 2012, 12:18:02 PM
I've actually used the Price Compare for quite a while now, as I use it mainly to find the lowest prices in Canada on certain computer parts etc, so that I can use it to beat Memory Express (local for me) down on their prices and take advantage of their price beat policy.
It works very well.
1699  Economy / Services / Re: GPUMAX | The Bitcoin Mining Marketplace on: February 27, 2012, 12:15:33 PM
So I decided to give the GPUMAX 'Purchase' service a try last night, since I have been contributing shares for a while now...I figured it was time I gave it a shot on one of the more popular pools to see the results.

I am actually embarrassed to say, but my overall return on my purchase price was less than 40% in total.
No, not 40% after costs recovered, but a whopping 60% overall loss, unfortunately.

Upon making the purchase, everything started out quite fast but the speeds soon fell to nearly half, which resulted in approx 1.5 hours to complete my purchased share delivery and spreading out the shares amongst 2 of the pool's rounds, which really hurt the end result, as I ran out of shares before the final round ended (Slush's Pool) so it literally killed any chance of any further recovery of investment due to the 'points system' and degrading share value over time.....lol
It's really too bad that speeds did not maintain throughout, as I could have done really well, but alas, a lesson learned Wink

I think I will just keep submitting shares for sale, rather than purchasing myself for a while.

On the upside (for the pool, not for me) I managed to find one of the 2 blocks that I was a part of, but it wasn't even with my GPUMAX Worker...lol....it was one of my private workers that I also sent to the pool to accompany my purchased share delivery.....LMAO

How's THAT for luck Wink
1700  Economy / Services / Re: Cam Shows on: February 26, 2012, 11:46:54 PM
Free Bump....as this 'beauty' shouldn't be forgotten.

You really should do a better job promoting 'her' ...because I loved his role in the 1990 Cult Classic 'Cry Baby' ....also starring Johnny Depp.

It's too bad there isn't more IMDB info, because that could really help the Cam Shows I think.

Long live Hatchet Face !
