Assuming everyone is honest,

----

Everything is possible, but if the account is stolen you should give back it for "free". However if he will accept to pay, better for you but if he will not accept to pay these 0.75 bitcoins I don't know what will happen. Can I ask you again if you have requested a signed message before buy the forum account or not?

No, that will be unfair to me. I lose 0.75 to a hacker, because someone else account was hacked? OP was probably careless, for instance I never install anything I get from here to my PC. I also have a good Anti-Virus installed.

I believe that OP is saying the truth and hence I will fully agree to give the account back for 0.75BTC.

There is negligence on the part of OP as far as I can see. He did not PM this account with any of the details, did not leave any trust feedback which could have been easily spotted by me.
He simply kept silent until the account was sold. He found it only after 3 days!?

All I did was I skipped asking for a signed address. He just ignored the question and I forgot to insist about it since the main worry was trust. No escrow was involved, you see. He ignores the question completely. Check the quote QuickSeller posted. He didn't reply to the part he asked for a signed address.

Proof can be submitted to mods/admin as required.

I believe, I am a bona fide purchaser of this account.

No offence, but is it possible for OP to fake everything after seeing the Warning password has been recently changed, etc. error or something else?
It seems that the account was hacked the within hours from last genuine post and put to auction? Everything else happens after 3 days.

Possible explanations:
1. As said by OP. Got hacked.
2. Tries to fake as the genuine owner.
3. Original owner, sells it. Tries to get it back.

However, I am willing to give back this account for 0.75BTC same as the amount I lost.

minerman can u please post the btc transfer details  of 0.75 btc and who is esrow in this deal mention full detail of the deal that you have done

Has already posted the btc transfer details. There was no escrow that is why the payment was done in two installments. I can put some screenshots of PM, but it can easily be faked. It is better to get an admin to look into it.

I was once fooled into entering bitcointalk.org account details to https://bitcoin-forums.net/index.php . Is the site safe?

OK, now we are getting somewhere. We need to let Badbear look though some info I sent him. For the record. My personal PC was hacked into thru a backdoor Trojan Saturday night into early Sunday. When I logged In I first noticed a wallet I had left open had sent 3000 coins out?? I knew right away it was from a bad virus filled wallet I hastily had DL and installed without scanning. I knew right away it was bad and virus filled. I scanned down my PC pretty good and identified at least 3 Trojans,,, one specifically was a password gathering Trojan. I felt I had got it all out the night before, but had missed a backdoor which I later found.

As history will show, early Sunday he made his way into my PC and began logging into at least 4 exchanges, sent 3000 coins from an open wallet and stole my MinermanNC account and scryptonite account both attached to the same email. I had my web browser open and was logged into many accounts. Unfortunately I had fell asleep without closing anything out as normal,,, and I got burned as a result.

Now, I am impressed at you honesty and coming forward as to what happened on your end in buying my stolen account. That lends you a lot of credibility. It looks like you got duped however, just I have. I have already lost 50.00 in an alt coin that got stole along with a ton of headaches since.

ok, lets let the chips fall where they should.

I regret you paid .75 BTC ouch! But your honesty in shedding light to all this is appreciated. Perhaps it not your fault.

I have a lot more info as to where this all began and the infected wallet download, was from bitcointalk in a new coin launch. I'm sure some will want to investigate. I will post more data on all that tomorrow in here.

THX

MMNC

ty I will help on this investigation as far as possible.

Really, I had no idea this is  a stolen account. There was no reason to be suspicious. Even the posts were very recent and followed the usual pattern.
lol, I made one post in one of the sections.
By you? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=857670.msg10663581#msg10663581
By me. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=765360.msg10701356#msg10701356

As I said the time would help.

Interestingly enough the person selling the account said that they were selling because they lost money in altcoin trading.

Yes, he said he lost money in altcoin trading or something similar.

Hi,

The account was sold to me for 0.75BTC.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=979657.0

You could have PMed this account after you noticed it, and I would have noticed it and the deal would have been off.
I checked everything I could, recent posts (it was almost recent, so I naturally thought he was the original owner. But you could be an imposter, since you could simply set up everything after you see a Warning "Password has been changed recently")

The issue is not complicated as long as you do not provide a signed address from past quoted by someone, etc. If you provide that, then I am not sure what we will do.

I have been trying to contact the seller for quite some time without success. for a signed address.
He probably just went off and didn't login again.

but who placed a bid of 0.75 btc

the last reply of account seller is account sold
mods can tell this what happens actually

My friend bought it for me.

Yeah, I am checking into all these.

PS Even if you could sign an address, can you prove that you did not sell to raindev? and changed your mind about that? Or wanted to get it back for free?
You could have simply put a negative trust or something to the account as soon as you noticed, and I could have known.

Beware of the malware bomb using the wallet download site, bitload or some horseshit.... don't accidently click the bullshit downloader, I am wondering what kind of legitimate dev would use such a stupid wallet download site... I even went to it from another source,,,, I think this coin is BS

woot you see the price!! up to 5k ... looks like no stop 3xtimes my orders keep waiting haha must move again up ^^

Price affect to difficult in pool ? or only is more miners atract by price?

My preferences-prioryties:

Total smartphone solution for all DNotes functionality including vault and #1 above.

i not like use cryptos like paymet processor but think is good marketing, but feel is more important CRYSP plans

1. DNotes Digital Currency Reaches Out To Include Everyday People In The Rewards Of Early Technology Investment

12. DNotes revolutionizes savings with its CR.I.S.P. for Retirement plan.

I know " el que mucho abarca poco aprieta" You know the proverb: Do not bite off more than you can chew --- Develop global name recognition. When people think "crypto" or "Bitcoin" now, they should simply think "DNotes" in the future. I Best CRISP plans over the world in all the times ---- Dnotes is first one that offer this cool service have an advantaje over rest of coins go bang it. Dnotes no make competition with other coins for maket space. Just for this can cooperating with all coins and use best services of each one. From there will be so easy go anywhere. but hell take time.

13. DNotes is the most stable digital cryptocurrency with history to prove it.

You said it! Woot is right. Dnotes is red hot right now. And for good reasons  Cool

And: the mining competition is getting fierce too... network hash is strong and climbing
1733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NOTE]DNotes - Hard Fork Block 537500 - Update Required on: February 27, 2015, 11:44:58 PM
Important features and technologies:

1. Ability to deposit other crypto directly to DNotesVault and have the equivalent amount of DNotes appear in vault account (instant exchange like ShapeShift) As a miner, I would use this feature on a regular basis if it was made available. And as an investor who buys other coins, I would also use it to sidestep fees and hassles at exchanges.

2. Total smartphone solution for all DNotes functionality including vault and #1 above.

3. Develop global name recognition. When people think "crypto" or "Bitcoin" now, they should simply think "DNotes" in the future.

All 3 are great thoughts and I know myself and probably others give a lot of thought on the future of instant exchange features, and yes it would be a great enhancement to something as the vault. I know I would tend to throw all my "spare change" coins at it, rather then messing with exchanges. But that's a huge hurtle no doubt. But as a miner myself, I can see the beauty of it all  Wink

And You hit an interesting point, how to market Dnotes along side Bitcoin, to where when people think Bitcoin they think Dnotes as well, or even think of Dnotes as the only real crypto.  Grin

Some good forward thinking post in here lately. This is great.

Wow! a faucet that's awesome lol,

Hey Motty and Doug! glad to see the addition here for Fuji. Its been a very rough few months for the crypto world with BTC so low. But hopefully better days are ahead for all coins. Lets just keep it steady as it goes. Little things here and there like the faucet surely are a plus. I'm still holding on tight to my Fuji, I even mined a few more a little while ago, waiting for that retirement fund, right Doug? lol  Grin

Lets hang in there!

Keep up the good work Motty!

Hey all, we have broke 537500 and the block reward is corrected. It does however appear some unknown pools have not upgraded yet though. The non-upgraded pools/miners will not receive block reward until they upgrade though.
Yep watched it start rewarding 23.75 dnotes right on schedule. I am running a p2pool node.  Grin for now anyways ... lol

So far so good...Good Job! let ya know if I hit a block  Shocked

PS: Network hash has more than doubled already...
1736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NOTE]DNotes - Hard Fork Block 537500 - Update Required on: February 26, 2015, 02:28:28 AM
This coin has so much going for it now. No smoke and mirrors, no empty promises or hype. Not too flashy, just a steady hand at the wheel bringing real and useful purposes for what alt coins should be. The Vault, and Crisp, various charity efforts. The sky's the limit  Wink I would have never dreamt this coin would be worth what it is today, and this is after mining and selling by the thousands in the early days, yes at 300  Embarrassed But its all good and their is still plenty of room to grow double, triple in value, there is really nothing holding it back. More time and exposure, and really bringing investors into the fold to scarf up Dnotes for crisp or for anything really. Its just getting started too, Guess we all need to get the word out!  Smiley

Trading Notes:

DNotes created two historical records the last couple of days that are worth noting. On Monday Feb. 23, 2015 the trading volume at Poloniex reached 108 BTC and on the following day, the buy side demand exceeded 18 BTC. These may not mean much to other P&D coins but of significance to DNotes. They should be considered as stress tests which DNotes did well. I have been observing the action quite anxiously and feel a sense of relief that the new gains are holding up nicely today. The trading volume is likely to return to a more sustainable range to 10 to 20 BTC daily. This volume should be trending higher as DNotes get discovered.  We should continue to take our time and do things right. Thanks for supporting the market.

Yes, dnotes performing astonishingly well.
