If the QR codes represent private keys, you'll be able to import them into a wallet that's compatible with the currency in question.

Using bitcoin as an example; you can download a bitcoin compatible wallet, such as Electrum and use that to scan the QR code to import the bitcoin private keys.  Obviously you'll need a camera to scan the code.

You'll need to do that for every currency you have.  There are wallets which are compatible with multiple currencies, but I'm not familiar with them so I'll refrain from mentioning them.  Don't use on-line tools to read the QR codes, that could compromise your funds.

I only just learned out this drama due to being mentioned in another thread about nutildah being banned.  How on god's green earth did this escalate to a ban?  I think there are many ways this could have been handled by both sides that could have prevented a ban.

@nutildah; please consider another option.  For example; a short yet pointed warning about the many scammers one is likely to encounter in the currency exchange board.  Something more general, with a link to the thread in question (which is presumably in the reputation board.)  A thread like that just might get stickied, and serve the same purpose.

@hilariousandco and other mods; please reconsider the ban.  I'm sure it's a temp ban, but nonetheless that's an extreme measure to take considering the good intentions and nutildah's contributions in general.  I know it's not your job to coach member on how to avoid violating the rules (unofficial or otherwise,) but this does seem like an extraordinary circumstance.

But I'm definitely not Spanish.  Cheesy

I know you're not Spanish, and I don't think your native language is Spanish either but apparently you're unwilling to disclose it.  I'm guessing someplace in south-central Asia, like India or a neighboring country.  Just a wild guess, and obviously I could be wrong.

I didn't realize that my behavior all along seemed like someone was rushing about something on this forum because only other people could judge it.

I can only speak for myself, but yes I do get that impression.

Congratulations on my ranking as a Full Member [minutes - hours from now] and next I will try to get a higher rank [Senior - Legendary] with my efforts and contribution to this forum. Clap for me.

Can I get someone to gift me an avatar hat, I really want to use it. Would really appreciate that. Thanks

I don't think you'll have any trouble earning the merit to rank up, seems like you're earning at a respectable pace so far.

But... you come off as being in a hurry to "join the club."  Generally speaking those who are in a hurry tend to make people suspicious.  Considering the hassle you already had as a result of your choice of name, I would try to stay humble if I were you.

BTW, Your English is great, but it's obvious it isn't your native language.  Mind if I ask what is?  I'm only curious because I'm learning Spanish (my third language) I and find it fascinating how adjectives are applied in the various languages.

#science

I caught my self doing something unprecedented, and completely out of character last night.  It's official; snowballs persist in hades, porcine critters have taken flight, and I rooted for the Cowgirls.  Well, their backup quarterback, Cooper Rush who had his first start after 4 years in the league.  And Amari Cooper, but you probably already knew that.  More science.

Ah you are the Windows guy who created that WIN topic in Bitcoin section... that was epic I must admit Cheesy

Haha.  Okay, but if that's your idea of "epic" I think you need to get out more often.

I agree that QS is good tech guy but he is much better liar, and I have full right to suspect anything he writes because of his scamming history.
I am sure that suchoom, babo, nutildah, marlboroza, yahoo62278, The Pharmacist and many others can say more about him than I can.
Some sadly people passed away so they can't speak anymore.

I'm well aware of Quickseller's reputation and the feuds that he's fostered, but none of that has any bearing on the questions that he asked.  Regardless of who asked the questions, if they're legitimate and pertinent they deserve measured responses.  I do agree with Quickseller that the way you reacted does indeed raise more questions.  I'm not doubting anything you said, I believe you that you're not involved and merely following an interesting project.  But again, your reaction was a bit odd.

I'm a bit surprised by his attack on you, on a tech board no less. Is there some history between you two that I don't know about? (or forgot, happens a lot lately LOL).

I see things differently.  Assuming no posts were deleted from that thread, it appeared to me that dkbit98 refuted QS's comments based solely on his reputation.  QS's reputation aside, I've always thought of him as somewhat technically astute, and his questions in that thread were valid.  Perhaps the question about about dkbit98's involvement in the project was a loaded one, I don't know.  Even if it wasn't I can see how dkbit98 might have interpreted it that way.

I will say that I believe dkbit98 has had a short fuse lately, he attacked me a couple of weeks ago.  Maybe I deserved it, I was shilling spyware, after all.
1790  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: [BETA] Mercury Wallet - Privacy for Bitcoin on: October 31, 2021, 04:23:37 PM
The premise is alluring, that's for sure, but I'm still confused about the implementation of the technology.  The technical aspect are bit over my head, but I'm more curious about functionality and how it would differ from any other custodial wallet.  Would "statechain" be a proprietary technology only available if using Mercury wallet, or would its licensing allow any wallet developer to implement it?

If it's the latter, I can see how it would be beneficial to bitcoin in general, but if its the former, I don't see how that would be any more attractive than other trusted custodial wallet providers who also offer internal transfers:

The internal transfer function lets you send funds between two Binance accounts. It will be immediately credited, and you don’t have to pay any transaction fees.

I'm putting the rest of my gambling balance (for now) into Pure Science this time, everything else cast aside.

Lol, I was thinking it was a good week to throw caution to the wind, and blow my wad on multi-bet for all thirteen Sunday games.

I root for Tua, just like I rooted for Marcus Mariota (and rooted for him for his 3 plays this season).

I like Mariota also, he was a big deal at UofO when my oldest daughter started there.  I really expected a more prolific career for him, it's sad to see him playing second fiddle to Carr of all people.

49ers ml; 49ers total points O20.5 @2.00

I'm staying away from this one, too much emotional involvement for me.  The 9ers have been disappointing the last three weeks, and you know what they say about cornered Bears, lol.  The 3-point loss to the packers was one thing, but then dropping two divisional games followed by that ugly loss to the Colts has deflated my enthusiasm for this season.  Hopefully they can turn things around and salvage a wildcard spot.  This would be a great week to start.

Arsenal jumped 4 spots today from 10th to 6th.  That sure does warm the cockles of my heart.  The season is young yet, and they had a pretty impressive hot streak last season, so I'm trying to contain my enthusiasm.  It sure would be cool if they finish in the top 5.

It'll be even cooler if they actually crack into the top 4 at the expense of United.

Yeah, baby!  I'll take it.  I have a soft spot for UTD because a friend of mine is a big fan.  I'm more inclined to dish on City.  To me they're like the Dallas Cowboys of the EPL; the team I love to hate.  I don't know why, they're obviously a great club, and have (arguably) the best manager in the game.  It's probably because they've been so dominant lately and I'm petty that way.  Grin
1793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: October 31, 2021, 03:00:40 PM
Ducati is still leading the manufacturer's competition, but they're only 12 points ahead of Yamaha.  There's still a chance for Yamaha to take the lead, and secure both the rider and manufacturer's championship.  Should be a fun couple of races to finish out the season.
2 races left, the Ducati team are leading in the head after Yamaha. Bagnaia, Zarco, and Miller, If they are got on the podium on the remaining race, Ducati could be the domination on the standing board. but at the moment Joan mir (Suzuki) is in the 3rd position, he got the podium in Aragon, Styria, Assen, Mugello, Algarve, and no.1 on Ricardo Tormo. If he won and got a podium in the 2 last races he will take for 2nd position (Bagnaian). Ducati has to watch him.

The Suzuki team are currently 88 points behind second place Yamaha in the manufacturer's championship.  Assuming Yamaha earns no points going forward, Suzuki would need to take all three podium places in one of the remaining races to narrow the gap to 30.  It's certainly not impossible, but I wouldn't hold my breath.  Considering all the talent Ducati has on their bikes, I figure it's a done deal and they'll be champs for the second year in a row.
1794  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: October 31, 2021, 12:47:39 AM
Made a payment today to chipmixer. Got a session key. It was showing a legacy address (like old version of chipmixer used to show.)
I used tor browser + tor version of chipmixer.
I sent the btc to the deposit address. The transaction is confirmed (2 confirmations) long time ago.
But its still showing wait for the transaction to be confirmed and 0 btc in step 2.
I have mailed the support with session key and all the screenshots.

When chipmixer rolled out the new v3 onion site they mentioned that it supports Segwit addresses but the chips may or may not be issued with segwit keys.

Tor v3 version of ChipMixer is now online: http://chipmixorflykuxu56uxy7gf5o6ggig7xru7dnihc4fm4cxqsc63e6id.onion (chip mix or fly)
It supports Segwit deposit addresses and chips may also be Segwit.

I imagine they had a lot of chips locked in legacy keys and it would take some time before they're depleted.  It's probably luck of the draw until that happens.

i think would be great idea since to add some altcoin since chipmixer has already gain good reputation

I wouldn't count on it.  I don't know for sure, but I suspect chipmixer is mining bitcoin including their own transactions.  With bitcoin the way it is, and considering how successful chipmixer has been, I doubt they're going start dealing in some shitty alt coin.
1795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 31, 2021, 12:28:38 AM
Was it Man Utd that was just so good today, or it was just Tottenham being themselves again as we've seen repeatedly this season, I didn't watch yhe game live but I'm surprised by the scoreline, I would have expected a draw or marginal win from Man Utd.

The Spurs really sucked today, they've been hot and cold so far this season.  I built a prop bet with UTD to win, but the the Spurs screwed it by not scoring.  What a bunch of cocks!  Wink

Arsenal just had a really rough start, they've been able to get themselves together to show that they could still strive for a top spot.

Arsenal jumped 4 spots today from 10th to 6th.  That sure does warm the cockles of my heart.  The season is young yet, and they had a pretty impressive hot streak last season, so I'm trying to contain my enthusiasm.  It sure would be cool if they finish in the top 5.
1796  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer @colires on: October 30, 2021, 07:25:58 PM

I suspect that Colires is dealing in banned services which are listed here by theymos.

~
  • AWS
  • N26
  • Upwork
~

If it can be proven that Colires is dealing in AWS accounts as I suspect, then he can be banned.  He's been very careful to not advertise that he's selling AWS accounts, at least he isn't overt about it.

I'm curious why Newbies still deal with him.

My guess; greed.  It's one of the reasons I have a hard time empathizing with the victims of these account scammers.  The warning signs are there, but the lure of saving hundreds, if not thousands of dollars by buying these fraudulently obtained accounts is more than these spammers can resist.
1797  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Cannot verify GPG Electrum-4.1.5 No signatures found on: October 30, 2021, 05:56:03 PM
Why don't the Electrum devs provide a single combined signature .asc file then, alongside the three individual ones?

I don't know, I was thinking of opening a pull request to ask for just that.  In fact, I got the idea from the Bitcoin Core development team, who also started issuing multiple signatures since the latest release.  They issued all the developer's signatures in one file.

What happens if my GPG software does not contain all the necessary keys? For example, if I had imported ThomasV's and SomberNight's key, but not Emzy's key, I presume it would just return two valid signatures and one unknown one?

Good question, I hadn't tried that so I decided to.  You're correct, it returns two good signatures, and one "unavailable certificate" error.  Here's what it looks like in Kleopatra:

And command line:

1798  Economy / Reputation / Re: [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source on: October 30, 2021, 05:09:28 PM
Why doesn't condoras have Legendary rank yet? I'd say we apply this:
some people got screwed by this, and if they have decent posts, by all means, give them the 250 or 500 merit that they need to rank-up.
I've just sent condoras the maximum (50 Merit). He needs 105 more.

To make it easier: those are his previously Merited posts:

I just sent some merits to condoras. If anyone bother show few good posts posted by him (since i don't bother check all 140 merit tx shown by LoyceV), i might send more.

Well, I'm not a merit source but I helped out some as well.  I just randomly clicked through some of his previously merited posts and didn't have any trouble finding worthy posts that I had not already merited.
1799  Economy / Lending / Re: Urgent Loan for Covid Treatment | Good Collateral | Short Term on: October 30, 2021, 04:39:52 PM
Condoras politely explained to you that the collateral you've offered isn't valid.  Your a new member here with no history, so you're unlikely to be offered a loan without valid collateral.

Please, at least $100

Begging isn't valid collateral either, and it's against forum rules:

7. No begging.

Don't worry mate, Quartararo won't just sink like Joan Mir this season, because Quartararo has a different mentality and Yamaha has confirmed to give Quartararo a better bike next season.

I hope you're right about Quartararo.  He struggled the last few races, but this past week he showed his champion qualities by coming up from 17th to finish 4th.  It makes for a very boring season when one rider takes a huge lead early on and dominates.  I would hate to see Marquez walk away with it next year without any challengers.  Pecco Bagnaia is another rider that can make Marc look more like a mere mortal.

MotoGP will re-implement Paddock Girl at the Algarve series in Portugal next week.
WELCOME BACK UMBRELLA GIRL

Now that's the best news I've heard all year.
