I neither know nor care to know this terrytibbs. But if he was labeled a scammer then it was probably for a good reason.

What your saying is like saying 'I have great respect for OJ Simpson and even though he may have done sum bad things in the past, I respect him for how he is now - he is rehabilitated and I think he should go free'.

The fact is people must pay for the mistakes they make. If he was a good person then he wouldn't have done bad things but if he did he must be punished.

And why don't you read sum history before you exonerate someone that's plead guilty:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=54014.msg644052#msg644052

I made some shady business decisions in the past. Perhaps you should reconsider if you were planning on entering into a business deal with me, but other than that, I won't bite.

This is a user who has been asked on occasion, WHY HE DOESN'T JUST CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT ? ....and he explains that although HE COULD.....he chooses not to.

I commend that and think it's time for the MODs to make a call on this. He has shown what type of person he is at this point.

I'm not here to keep the peace just simply informing you of my rules. Wink

Hope it works out.

Hopefully I don't have to 'Walk The Plank' on March 12th..... Wink
1803  Economy / Lending / Re: A Public Plea to my current 3 Lenders - Burt/Partick/Dollartrader on: February 14, 2012, 11:19:26 PM
This thread qualifies for this

Note: If you have any outstanding issues/debts with either the forum or IRC don't even think about contacting me to invest.

Pay on-time or lose your spot with FPS&T.

The deal is only a couple days old...lol

All I want to do is pay more and one of my mining investors saw this as a positive.
I just didn't appreciate the personal comments, especially in regards to the gambling on the market.

The last thing I wanted to do was create waves on another 'investment' (wink wink) front by asking for a withdrawal, being that accounts at said establishment are difficult to come by, so I thought this would be the lesser of 2 evils.
1804  Economy / Lending / Re: A Public Plea to my current 3 Lenders - Burt/Partick/Dollartrader on: February 14, 2012, 11:05:30 PM
Just as an update, I only have one bad loan currently and that was from Kujoking et al.  Rexcoin actually paid back, and your estimate of my losses is rather inaccurate.

As for all the other stuff, you said you had problems "getting out" and complaining about the exchange rate and wanting to use funds over the next month "for your advantage".  I expressed an opinion, and you have reacted quite spectacularly.

ARE YOU RETARDED ? or just slow....?

I applied for a 100 BTC Loan TO PURCHASE HARDWARE FOR MY MINING OPERATION (remember ?), close to $6 USD exchange rate.
By the time it was funded in full, from the 1st party to the 3rd, then onto the exchange, the drop in rates invalidated the expected amount in USD to purchase said hardware, or complete said plans.

I OFFERED A 50% INCREASED RATE OF RETURN IN A SINGLE PAYMENT ON THE FINAL DUE DATE SO THAT I COULD USE MY UPCOMING WEEKLY MINING PROCEEDS TO SUPLIMENT THE ORIGINAL VALUE AND PURCHASE THE ORIGINALLY INTENDED HARDWARE (ie.MY ADVANTAGE).

HOW CAN YOUR HEAD BE SO THICK THAT YOU ARE UNABLE TO COMPREHEND THIS SIMPLE PROPOSITION WITHOUT SPEWING NONSENSE ?

DID YOU SERIOUSLY NOT UNDERSTAND THE REFERENCE TO MY ADVANTAGE ?

As I posted NUMEROUS TIMES, Your reply should have been either YES or NO.
1805  Economy / Lending / Re: A Public Plea to my current 3 Lenders - Burt/Partick/Dollartrader on: February 14, 2012, 10:46:37 PM
Wow, the attitude.  Do you talk to your mortgage lender the same way?
No, of course not.

Patrick made assumptions about me GAMBLING in the market (WTF?) and went on to empty his lungs with a 'Holier than thou' Soap-box speech about how HE wasn't here to fix other's problems and how 'he wasn't impressed', WHEN ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS SAY ACCEPTED OR DECLINED.

His personal comments to me have struck a nerve and frankly I am not going to take it.

He can save his crap for Rexcoin and the others that have squeezed about 200 BTC out of him with kind words and NO CHANCE OF REPAYMENT.

(..although I'm not actually Mexican...) He just fucked with the wrong Mexican.

He should have kept his reply ON POINT and skipped the lecture.

I NEVER ASKED FOR ANYTHING SPECIAL. I NEVER ASKED FOR A LOWER REPAYMENT RATE.

I OFFERED A 50% INCREASE IN RETURN TO CONSIDER A SINGLE PAYMENT RATHER THAN 4, TO BE PAID IN FULL ON THE FINAL DUE DATE OF THE LOAN.

...AND I SURELY DIDN'T ASK FOR A LECTURE OR PERSONAL JUDGEMENT.....
1806  Economy / Lending / Re: A Public Plea to my current 3 Lenders - Burt/Partick/Dollartrader on: February 14, 2012, 10:35:00 PM
You said you could pay back the coins now and I accept that offer......

Really ? No long whinded self-gratifying story to get into ? JUST A SIMPLE ACCEPT OR DECLINE ?

HOW FUCKING DIFFICULT WAS THAT ?

1807  Other / Meta / Why I have respect for terrytibbs on: February 14, 2012, 08:30:24 PM
I have been a registered member on this forum since last summer, approx the same time as Terrytibbs has.
I do not know this person, nor do I have any ulterior motive to post this.
I simply keep coming across his posts and feel it's time to comment.

I have seen users come and users go.
I have seen SCAMMERS come and SCAMMERS go......and come...and go...and come...and go.

I have also been audience to much of what TT has posted in the past and as well, what he has posted lately.
Is he a decent guy ? I think so. Is he a dick ? I think so.....but I am a cynical bastard at times as well.

Like him or hate him, he has had the balls to stick around and continue using his original account (740+ posts deep) even though he was marked with a scammer tag.

I think it's time for the MODS to reconsider his tag and restore his status, considering what others around here have done to set the bar even further.

His, was a misunderstanding and was completely blown out of proportion.

Feel free to leave your own comments below.
1808  Economy / Lending / Re: A Public Plea to my current 3 Lenders - Burt/Partick/Dollartrader on: February 14, 2012, 07:44:54 PM
....and the fact is, it is true that I am not impressed at being asked to vary the terms of a loan only a few days after advancing 50 coins to you.

Patrick

You were being asked to vary the terms of a loan that was beneficial to you as well as myself. SAME FINAL DUE DATE, increased interest and rate of return for you, to consider a single payment rather than 4.

I have never pretended to be nice, but I sure as shit never gave anyone the impression that I was going to run away with their money.

I'm not about to sweet talk you under an assumed alias (or 3) to blow smoke up your ass AND BE NICE, only to run away with your coins AND I REFUSE TO BE LUMPED INTO THAT BUNCH OF BORROWERS THAT YOU HAD IN THE PAST.

Considering you have all of my personal info, have connected to my personal network and can see that I am invested in the community, CAN YOU HONESTLY SAY THAT I AM A HIGH RISK ? Even for what I am offering ?

You got to say what YOU SEE......NOW HERE IS WHAT I SEE:

1) I have provided you with more information than any 2 other borrowers combined before me, that you had lent to (Burt by proxy...)
2) You got ripped off a NUMBER OF TIMES and I AM TAKING SHIT FOR IT.
3) You have single handedly put the question of my Credibility at risk in a single post FOR NO GOOD REASON WITH YOUR COMMENTS, when a simple YES/NO ANSWER WOULD HAVE SUFFICED.

Taking a measly 50 BTC loan from you was NOT worth this.
1809  Economy / Lending / Re: A Public Plea to my current 3 Lenders - Burt/Partick/Dollartrader on: February 14, 2012, 07:23:48 PM
...and I almost forgot.

I was able to add a new gigabit switch and a pair of 5850's to my setup, which should be arriving shortly.

So thanks to my Lenders.
1810  Economy / Lending / Re: A Public Plea to my current 3 Lenders - Burt/Partick/Dollartrader on: February 14, 2012, 07:06:56 PM
If you were gambling in the market and lost, having your lenders suffer is not a particularly good outcome (read = I'm not impressed).  We're not here to fix other people's mistakes.

Re-Read the OP, then EDIT YOUR POST.

I didn't supply the amount of VERIFIED Personal Information to you, to have you further judge me or my intentions.

READ: I'M NOT IMPRESSED.

Your coins can be returned TODAY...IN FULL 100% WITH INTEREST. YOU MAKE THE CALL.

Login details can be sent to you in a moment's notice, so that YOU can verify that in one of the accounts, I can cover your portion of the loan.....in BTC TIMES 15.

I simply only wanted to make a single withdrawal from one of my BTC investments/accounts, so that I could spend my weekly mining income to purchase more equipment, which is what the loan was for. Unfortunately I didn't take into account that the market would TANK and the time frame from 1st Lender's payment to 3rd would be a 2 DAY SPREAD to fund the loan.
1811  Economy / Lending / Re: A Public Plea to my current 3 Lenders - Burt/Partick/Dollartrader on: February 14, 2012, 05:37:36 PM
Is your new avatar directed at you friendly bankers?
No...lol
I just suddenly noticed that a bunch of people had changed their avatars to Freddy Prinze Jr as well and it screwed me up.......lol
I read the forum for about 10 minutes the other day thinking my account had been hi jacked until I saw the usernames above the avatars...

I'll change it to something nicer when I find something.... Wink

<EDIT>
Done.....
1812  Economy / Lending / A Public Plea to my current 3 Lenders - Burt/Partick/Dollartrader on: February 14, 2012, 01:59:54 PM
I have nothing to hide, so I will post this here, for all to see, as I can't be the only one that was left less than satisfied over the last day or so from the exchange prices.

Based on this thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=63355.0

Well, long story short - I couldn't make it 'out' in time with my funds (before the hickup/drop). Exchange rate cost me approx $150 USD from what I expected
by the time I had all funds from all 3 lenders, ready to liquidate.....

I am currently on 'the hook' for a 100 BTC loan, to be repaid in 4 instalments as 'mining dividends' from my mining rigs.

The agreed upon terms:
1st Payment: Feb 18, 2012
2nd Payment: Feb 25, 2012
3rd Payment: Mar 3, 2012
4th Payment: March 10, 2012 (+/-2 days).

What I am offering:
To conclude my Loan in a SINGLE PAYMENT on/or about March 10-12, 2012 & INCREASE Interest Payback from current agreed, by an additional 4% total.
(rather than 4 payments) so that I can use weekly funds to my advantage to compensate as best I can.

Please consider this offer.
Thanks.
bitlane.
1813  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGminer - web monitor beta v0.4 [switch pools all rigs] on: February 12, 2012, 04:56:53 PM
Just a heads up - this is a PITA in linux as it requires raw sockets.

I have tried ...

Code:
sudo /sbin/setcap cap_net_raw+eip /usr/sbin/lighttpd

...with no luck.  Angry

Anyone else have a suggestion short of wampserver  Roll Eyes

HOLLY CRAP !

Something EASIER to get working in Windows that is PHP ?

This is one for the record books...LOL

I don't have any advice though, as I am a Linux moron.....or, maybe just a moron in general, but mine still works great (cgminer web app that is).
1814  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Single slot 5770s - anyone have them? on: February 11, 2012, 09:57:54 PM
I guess I've always avoided the 6000 series since they use a lot more power for less output, and the 5000 series is just that much better. I guess I should look into the 6000 series cost and hashrate.

By the time you overclock a 5830 to get 300+MH/s (960+Mhz Clock speeds).....power requirements are quite similar to a 6870 that does similar speeds with similar power requirements, as most are clocked 900+Mhz out of the box and do 300Mh/s at approx 930Mhz.
I have both and even mix them together in one of my miners.
1815  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: 7990? Guess on cost, power usage, output? on: February 11, 2012, 09:52:48 PM
For those of us running mainly 5830's, I think that the upcoming 1.5GB iteration of the 7950 will reign supreme.
It should use LESS power than a 5830, while hashing away at a solid 450-500 MH/s in the process.

Currently, those 'in the know' report approx a 8-10w difference between the 5830 1GB and the 7950 3GB (the 5830 using less power currently), so I can only assume that the 1.5GB 7950 will be even more power efficient and be a nice upgrade/replacement for some ageing 5830's.
1816  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Time for some new equipment on: February 11, 2012, 09:46:36 PM
And I don't know how is it doing in Canada, but in Russia you can request your money back for some defective goods during warranty period.
I wish....
Although we do have a 'Gift Cards NEVER Expire' Law that went into effect a couple years back.

I am still hoping that BFL come through with this product, because with mining at home (within your home), there's only so many circuits to drain and blowing breakers when the wife fires up her hair dryer sucks because a miner is on the same circuit.

At this point, I am simply focussing on upgrading all my cards (while keeping close to the same total) with 7xxx series cards to increase hash density while observing better 'power management' Wink

Anyone know why I cannot add this pool : a1bitcoinpool.com ?

Thanks !
I believe it's on the shit-list due to large amounts of stales and overal sub-par performance with Pirate's setup..

No...lol, I surely do not.

1819  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [FREE HOSTING] Bitcoin 'Community' Development on: February 10, 2012, 10:50:30 PM
Just to be clear..... I am NOT looking to make potential guests on my server subject to advertising for me or forcing anything upon them.

This is a 100% NO STRINGS ATTACHED DEAL. I am not looking for anything in return. No banners, no links, no public recognition of any kind on your website.

I really just want the opportunity to help those who are working hard to make the Bitcoin Community better.

If you have had any apprehensions about the offer prior to reading the above, rest assured - I DON'T WANT or EXPECT ANYTHING IN RETURN.

Hopefully this clears up any concerns that some of you may or may not have had about my offer.

Thanks again,
Allan

It doesn't prove that they own the account. All you end up with is an address from a hacked PayPal account.

It was easy for me to take over the guy's life who I am pretending to be.

I live in his house, at the same address, have the same telephone number and even sleep with his wife.....lol
(somehow I even get to drive his Skyline GT-R without anyone putting up a fight)....go figure.
