1881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China Urges Philippines to Ban All Online Gambling! on: September 07, 2019, 02:16:17 PM
unless they scam people before in China and they would like to bring it in the Philippines.
The online gambling site didnt scam people but it the Chinese government that are not in support of online gambling cause it was consider illegal under the China laws. I believe the gambling situation which happened in China during last World cup was the reason why POGO choose Philippines but participation of china citizen in gambling either in China or overseas  is still consider illegal by the Chinese government.

Chinese citizen had been gambling any where in the world, if it doesn't happen in China where the law is amended its not illegal. Many Chinese goes to Macau to play in Casino and they also do that here in the Philippines where most of them are rich businessmen in our country. They are even partly owner of these POGO. If there is an extradition agreement between Philippines and China, a lot of these Chinese gamblers would have been executed already.
1882  Economy / Speculation / Re: Close to BIG Breakout. Will it be $7K or $13K? on: September 07, 2019, 07:51:07 AM
This is one of the hardest times to be a leverage trader right now. I mean it could go any direction and we have no idea what it will do.

I do not deal with charts because I have seen them fail too many times but public sentiment is never wrong, if people are thinking that bitcoin will go up and hyped about it then the price will go up, however if they think bitcoin will be going down and afraid it will go down.

It is mostly because there is no regulation in bitcoin so when people are afraid they sell which directly causes it to go down or when people are hyped they buy and it directly goes up. Right now people look tired of the same price once again, it has been around the same price for a long time and people are about to say "it is enough of the same price, I am going out until something fun starts to happen".

Fudsters says the different things. If they spread fud and tells bad news, its the opposite that actually happen. Maybe its because of the disappointments that keeps going on that I only notice that same pattern but I think those fudsters aims to confuse traders who waits fundamental news.
1883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cheaters . who caused the cryptocurrency to go down on: September 07, 2019, 07:26:52 AM

Its the whales who wants to accumulate more btc who controls the market, its them that causes the price down. Of course those who sell in low price but that's just it. If you panic, they win. Bounty cheaters just earning pennies but those early investors will dump before bounty cheaters collect some usds.
1884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto hodling as a form of gambling! on: September 06, 2019, 06:25:11 PM
All investment is sort of a gamble including those altcoins you bought.  I stand the test of time actually, some of the coins that I hold which was worth more than $60k during the bull market is now just worth $1k+. I forgot its wallet password already due to it. I guess I can consider it lost. There were regrets but I'd just focus on making money after all it already happened.
1885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The best Dex Exchange on: September 06, 2019, 03:57:28 PM
I like eFin DEX. Pretty new, but they have big plans for the future. I was an early investors and bought their membership package with eFin coins that generates me profit from trading fees. So higher volume = higher profit for me.  Smiley

Volentix DEX is already working?

I don't think its working. I did install their Verto wallet, its actually a neat wallet which is more like hybrid connected to their VDEX. The VTX token isn't on their DEX yet but its on the STEX exchange. Something to really question when they instead list their token on STEX rather than on their VDEX.  The project started last year by the way.
1886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China Urges Philippines to Ban All Online Gambling! on: September 06, 2019, 05:02:54 AM

China really provide good offers to the Philippines. But it does not mean they will interfere in the country's business especially on online gambling. Yes China is powerful yet they should restrict their power to their own and not on how a country run online business.

I'm damn sure you just get the wrong information here. Of all countries in the world China has not interfere any country at all even the Hongkong which were somehow part of them. They still respect the independence of Hongkong due to agreements between them and Britain. If they are going to interfere to any country they would have to start with US to which they know they have dominate in terms of finance.

They cannot do that to the US in fact they've gave warning to China about interference
https://news.abs-cbn.com/overseas/06/01/19/us-warns-china-on-behavior-towards-its-asian-neighbors

They may have advanced in finance but it's impossible to for China to interfere with US affairs, in fact, they do the opposite they are the one who can interfere to any region's affair and history can prove that

They warn China? Lol and then US has the right to interfere Philippines?

Like US, China is also protecting their trade routes. US has nothing to do with Philippines but they keep circulating the law even the Iceland are interfering philippines but the news doesnt say they are interfering the terms used by the media was the Iceland is concern.

US maintains its threat in our region with the militarized GUAM which is few miles away from Phils. China claims their own on the otherside of Philippines. If philippines take sides on any of the two and follow which country says, we Filipinos are doomed. Our country will be the battle field.

Its best if the POGO continues and the Koreans who populates the basketball courts in quezoncity keeps playing the casinosa too. Qs long as they pay taxes ita good. All are going to be happy

This will not be ban, we have a fresh news today.

https://business.inquirer.net/278242/duterte-wont-ban-pogos-many-will-lose-their-jobs
It's coming from the President, so though the Philippines and the China has a good relation, this operation helps to improve the economy of the Philippines as they are collecting big taxes on this, and also it was mentioned, maybe will loss their jobs.

This is the reason why there is an increase number of Chinese people in the Philippines.
Duterte with its project build build build, he really needs a source of funds and casino is just a good source of funds IMO.

On the taxation side, we ca see in this news,
https://www.philstar.com/business/2019/06/17/1927013/special-report-inside-philippine-offshore-gaming-company

Quote
Taxing POGOs
POGOS are now at the center of government’s tax drive with the Department of Finance (DoF) saying that gaming entities must pay more taxes.

The DoF and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) are chasing about P32 billion in alleged unpaid income taxes from POGO workers.

This is computed based on an assumed salary of $1,500 per month for each of the estimated 138,000 foreign POGO workers slapped with a 25 percent income tax.

However, the BIR’s basis of $1,500 monthly salary allegedly differs from the actual pay of POGO workers.

Did you see the figure, that's 138,000 foreign workers at an average salary of $1500 per employee, so that would total to $207,000,000 salary per month, which means this business is earning at least a billion dollar in a monthly basis (correct my computation if its wrong), and that's a huge amount of money that the Philippines does not want to loss.

By the way, income tax of 25% from $207,000,000 is 51,750,000‬ usd, I just don't know if it's monthly or yearly.

Besides the money, Duterte has to keep both US and China at bay. He wants both to provide assistance to the country, making friends to both will keep both compete in providing advantagous offer. Even the Japanese are offering assistance to Philippines swaying Duterte. All these are political moves, a strategy that has to be maintained like "friends to all".

China has been providing great offers to philippines and I think this is a good path because China is a super power ally.
1889  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲EOSBet.io - Licensed Casino Platform 🎲Provably Fair 🎲NOW ACCEPTING BTC ₿ on: September 05, 2019, 08:23:51 AM

The total Bet coverted to bnbchain are juat too few compare to the total supply though. Its a decentralize market eceryone can set the price for the tokens they have. I miss the 0.005 spike, I probably have sold mine  to buy back at 0.003 again. I can still wait for it to happen again. A token that is listed to one exchange looks very easy to manipulate, team should be considering another.
1890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sport Has Many Gambling Supporters (State Your Opinion) on: September 05, 2019, 04:24:32 AM
Survey result says soccer! So must be the reason why sportbet.io sponsored a soccer team recently. It must have been an exposure to them. But I think this depends to which country the gambler is, for someone which my country men likes basketball than any other sports, we always bet on basketball games. For US citizen I guess baseball or probably basketball as well.4

For black sports gambler, it must be basketball so the race also matter. Black are the the best basketball players in the world.

1893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun Makes a Bold Statement on Facebook’s Libra on: September 02, 2019, 05:33:50 PM

Nothing is wrong with what he said about Libra though. Ain't nothing wrong help promoting Libra, its coming launch seem unstoppable anyway.

Libra is not even approved yet and maybe will never launch. I am getting sick about this threads and believe that the main part of our community won't use this coin, because it is not an investment, it is a stable asset.

They are seeing it going to happen. Big company like Facebook will not stop til they have it and Justine Sun knows its going to happen eventually.
1894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China Urges Philippines to Ban All Online Gambling! on: September 01, 2019, 06:33:09 PM

I don't think China was serious about this. They were just suggesting what could have been done since the government is banning POGO.

The Chinese are like:  If you are baning POGO, you might as well bann all kinds of online gambling.

If an ambassador has to read between the lines, its like Try baning all the online gambling in the Philippines and see what it can do to Philippine economy.
1895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: charge fee for IEO listings on: September 01, 2019, 05:31:15 PM
I found this article:

https://www.theblockcrypto.com/2019/07/29/a-blockchain-project-founder-says-a-crypto-exchange-swindled-him-and-it-points-to-a-broader-problem-in-the-ieo-market/

It says that Shawn Key, the promoter of the Cybr IEO paid a total of 11.5 BTC ($76,500) to the Coineal exchange for the IEO listing. He lost all of that amount, as the project failed to cross the soft-cap and whatever funds that were collected were reimbursed to the investors.

I am not sure about Binance, but I heard that most of the exchanges ask for a certain percentage of the sales revenue in addition to the listing fee. Christopher Franko of Expanse once claimed that Binance was asking 400 BTC ($2.6 million) to list his token. Changpeng Zhao (CEO of Binance) later denied the claim by Franko and said that they'll not list the Expanse shitcoin even if the team is willing to pay BTC4,000. Etherscan reportedly paid around $1 million for a listing with Binance. In Binance DEX, the listing fee is around $100,000.

Chinese exchange ZB charges around $640K for a new listing (2 million ZB tokens, worth $640,000 at current prices). The now defunct exchange Cryptopia had a listing fee in the range of $20-25K.

Its not wonder creating small exchanges today with IEO launchpad will be worth developing. A lot of the teams are doing this right now even with a website domain that you can't hardly imagine, totally unrelated to blockchain but they go on. I believe the fees to listing in the IEO launchpad is a big motivation to them.
1896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Bulls Struggling to Surge above $0.26? on: September 01, 2019, 05:07:56 PM

There is nothing to this coin anymore after the it dips below $0.50 last year, it has never bounce back since then even with all the volume it has that its listed being the 3rd of all. When they say you can't go wrong when you invest to the top coins, its not really true. If you picked XRP right now because you see it dips this low, you just lose some money.
1897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bulls vs Bears: Social Binary Options with revenue sharing on: September 01, 2019, 04:35:42 PM

I have been following a lot of projects which are providing dividends to their token holders, this one must be worth looking into.  Are you just going to open the trading and let players mine the tokens without doing promotions like bounty campaign?

When trading of your dividend token is planned to begin?

They haven't launched yet, there is no trading anything soon.
1898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How the government definition of Bitcoin, influence addoption. on: August 31, 2019, 08:30:35 PM
Its protecting their reserve currencies will be the priority of the government but I think they are going to be open to state backed crypto to somehow make it legal for bitcoin to be currency. Its just to much of an effect though, I wonder if they will add BTC on the FOREX market, will we be able to see BTC in the meta trader software of FX brokers?
1899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No matter how hard you look at crypto, there is lots of improvements so far on: August 31, 2019, 08:19:15 PM
The noticeable achievement of crypto since 2018so far are
1. More banks are making use of blockchain tech
2. Binance chain was launched
3. More institutional adoption
4.  Hashrate increases
5. Code development
6. More new crypto user
If i could judge this i think crypto is getting more better but with slower pace which is what we need to avoid unnecessary crashes, crypto future looks brighter

Despite all these, BTC price didn't soar high enough to kickstart the bullrun we are hoping. The trauma it put to the people who have seen the price crumbles to the ground in less than a year the price dive to -80% almost impossible to rebuild the reputable of the altcoins that died in the process. No one in the right mind will stick to crypto all the way once they know the history of what just happen last year.
1900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China Urges Philippines to Ban All Online Gambling! on: August 31, 2019, 08:08:44 PM
What do you guys think about China urges to ban all online gambling in Philippines?. One of their reason is that "The embassy said many of the Chinese citizens working illegally in Philippine casinos or POGOs and other forms of gambling entities are subjected to what media described as modern slavery due to severe limitation of their personal freedom and also Beijing welcomed the suspension of the issuance of new licenses for Philippine offshore gaming operations (POGO).

China want's to microhandle its citizens while gambling is deep rooted in Chinese society. There are many Chinese going to bordering town to gamble and many to launder their money. Macau and Hong Kong has been more restrictive that's why they are moving further. Chinese are familiar to online crypto gambling and a large amount of gambler comes from China.
Well, I don't know if the President of the Philippines will follow the demand of China because this is not their territory anymore. Yes, maybe there are dozen of Chinese people who live in the Philippines but banning gambling just because of them perhaps, hell NO.
Indeed, the Philippines has a good tax on the gambling industry and it also helps to grow the economy. I think that will never happen, they will never dictate the press. Duterte. Well, OP, good to see if you have a [link] for reference. https://www.philstar.com/headlines/2019/08/30/1947660/china-cant-dictate-online-gambling-ban-philippines

Duterte has nothing to do with it, its the opposition in the government that tries to bann Chinese gambling operation and since they are picking just few of these established ones, the Chinese instead urges to bann all. This is politics in the Philippines, those who doesn't like Duterte wants to break the current relationship of Philippines and China. They all put in the mind of the Filipinos that Chinese are not good and tries to colonize us which of course isn't true.
