1901  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Ask about The Best Wallets for Bitcoin ? on: September 23, 2022, 10:14:15 PM
Here (highlighted text) you could give the names of reliable mobile applications that can be trusted (as far as it is possible in the case of app), so that OP avoids interacting with dangerous ones. Unfortunately, I don't have sufficient experience in using mobile wallets and can't recommend anything. Actually, for me to know too.
Electrum has a mobile version too. He already talked about it though he had emphasis on the desktop version but the mobile wallet is equally good.
The reason most people suggest electrum is because it's open source and reproducible, something which is not possible with most software wallets.
1902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Meta Mask No Receiving Option on: September 23, 2022, 12:06:29 AM
I think you can add different chains to trustwallet too... Try out using the same settings and see if the receive button appears.

Another question is, are other people able to send the token or perhaps its locked?
1903  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Ask about The Best Wallets for Bitcoin ? on: September 22, 2022, 11:56:47 PM
You asked the question in the wrong board though. That's why you are not getting enough responses

Your first choice would definity be an open source hardware wallet like Trezor
Here is a list of Open Source Hardware Wallets

Alternative there are open source software wallets that are popular like Electrum (https://electrum.org)
it sometimes also depends on your preference: This should guide you - https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet
1904  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet - Asked for verification and blocked account. on: September 22, 2022, 11:45:19 PM
Looks like a scam...
The casino itself is not scam at least to the best of my knowledge. it's one of those oldest crypto casinos but the problem is that the way they have been handling things in the recent years doesn't give someone any desire to play there.
Holding someone's money for month with no ETA whilst carrying out some endless investigation is annoying for sure.
1905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum POW - ETHW on: September 20, 2022, 11:42:15 PM
I here that there was another fork, though I haven't yet read about it and it could be another one of those stupid scams. it's called EthereumFlair (ETF) though the choice of name seems to be pretty much awkward since most of us traders know about ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds)
Are ETH holders at the time of snapshot also going to receive an ETF airdrop?
1906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Basic beginner question: What happens to tokens you held when you withdraw... on: September 20, 2022, 11:31:18 PM
It depends on how you sell your tokens in exchange for the fiat

if you using the instant sell feature for fiat into your paypal or bank then that means, you will sell the tokens to an exchange who then act as a market maker (or place an order/sell order that a future buyer (market taker) might obtain tokens from when they are buying using fiat from a bank.

In other words for every token you sell, the exchange will place a sell order for future potential buyers to buy from and vise versa depending on the market liquidity and depth.

if it's a pro version, you mostly deal directly with other buy and sell traders.
1907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge Risk on ETH: ~22% Down After PoS, Massive Dump & Withdrawal Uncertainty on: September 20, 2022, 11:20:39 PM
To be fair, the dump was expected especially given the fact that ETH pumped more than most coins as the date of the merge approached. People were buying ETH because they didn't want to miss out on the Forked coins. As soon as the merge was done, there was no more short term use to keep buying or holding ETH so cashing out at the best price possible by many traders only meant that the price would drop. A 22% drop spread across over 96 hours from the merge date isn't so bad

I think the price will gradually drop to a strong support level like but not massively
1908  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Internet detective Shahan is likely a future scammer on: September 20, 2022, 10:59:28 PM
A false accusation is what I see. Ironically you complained about the something in your retaliatory feedback though you have removed it now. "Likely a future scammer"? how?
Until you come up with something valid, no one is going to take you seriously here except maybe start labeling you as a troll
1909  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinmarketcap login on: September 20, 2022, 09:57:37 PM
I appreciate everyone's response. I tried some of the suggestions given, but nothing really worked. I simply kept retrying and the problem fixed itself today apparently.
Tried with my old email address and log in password before the data leak and managed to log in without any problem. I used google chrome

I used my Binance account and it works with no hiccups.
Using my binance login details would be pretty scary especially given the fact that user data of millions was leaked last year
1910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Bitcoin on: September 20, 2022, 07:52:14 PM
Bitcoin mining is still profitable in 2022 but we should take a look about electricity bill and graphics card cost.
You must be in dreamland my brother... Graphics cards profitably mining bitcoin in 2022!!  Grin Grin Grin

If they are cheap then can you can try mining Bitcoin.
Even if you get them for free. You will be wasting time trying to mine Bitcoin. Time is money, remember that.
1911  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Manipulation looks like on: September 20, 2022, 07:33:14 PM
This is normal in a bear market, no whale will want to hold their BTC bag and watch the price goes down whereas they can make profits from dumping the bag and buying again, this happens with altcoins too, when the market starts turning around you will see that whales will start moving their BTC out of the exchanges.
I would say it's far more common in a bull market and bear market where it's very easy to lure newbies into buying the next x1000 gem or shitcoin. The pumps seem to be very impressive only for people to wake up into a sad reality in the bear market.
1912  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Bitcoin on: September 19, 2022, 11:50:50 PM
and do you think it's still worth trying on 2022 ??
If you are looking to make a ton of money out of mining like it was in the early years where people would even mine with CPUs, stack some coins and then realize a few years later that they are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, then forget about it.
Currently mining profitability is dependent on so many factors from power costs, difficulty of the network, market conditions etc

Most small farm owners now days mine for small profits and some keep the coins for the bull market in hope that the value will multiply before selling off.
1913  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 100 Questions newbies keep asking about Bitcoin on: September 19, 2022, 11:37:31 PM
Nothing is outdated in crypto even though it looks aging.
You are wrong mate, we just have to agree that some information is outdated and it can be quite misleading to newbies who read it.

For example;

98. What percentage of total bitcoins are in circulation today? Of the 21 million in bitcoin due to be mined, about 16.74 million, or roughly 80%, are in circulation.
As of today, this is very wrong. Right now there are so far 19,154,915 mined bitcoins and the number keeps changing with each confirmed block in which miners get their mining rewards.
1914  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto wallets have a long way to go on: September 19, 2022, 11:23:21 PM
2. Not every crypto users are tech savvy and most don't even know how to keep their keys safe till date, writing recovery seed down or carving on a stainless steel or wood is still risky , either a hot wallet or hardware wallet keeps your keys is a necessity, I believe that we still need some work on here, making safeguarding keys easy still have a long way.
Assuming you have bank notes, Does keeping them somewhere safe require you to be tech savvy?

Private keys or seed phrases should exactly be treated like money. When you are keeping them, just imagine you are directly keeping the funds in your account. People do this every day with bank notes.
1915  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A question I should have asked on my first day here on: September 19, 2022, 10:57:00 PM
i also depends on the platform you are connecting your wallet to. Some of them are malicious and you may give them way mopre permissions than just viewing the balance or suggesting transactions approval.

There was a common scam that would make the malicious actor gain access and transfer your tokens though it involved airdropped tokens - [Scam Alert] Beware of Airdrops that will drain tokens out of your address.
1916  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How exchange determine flat fee on: September 19, 2022, 10:41:13 PM
The key adjusting fees periodically depending on the market condition. For example, At one point in the recent bull run, Binance was charging 0.0005 BTC for withdrawal when Bitcoin transaction fees surged for weeks... Even when BTC transaction fees dropped, they kept it at 0.0005 BTC until after several months.

i believe it is also the same with casino's withdrawal fees. they also have periodic reviews of their fees.
Some casinos like Bustadice offer dynamic withdrawal fees depending on the mempool conditions. Which all exchanges would adopt such a model.
1917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: WARNING OF BIBOX SCAM bigger USDT withdrawals are on hold for weeks on: September 19, 2022, 09:55:51 PM
Bibox has now more than 20 open USDT withdrawals, the support is not supportive and it seems like they only withdraw  selective smaller amounts and they keep the bigger ones for themselves, it looks they start to SCAM people.

What do you mean by more than 20 open USDT withdrawals? Care to clarify

You could create a scam accusation with the details if you think they scammed you. Create it in this board and follow this scam reporting format
1918  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PLAYBETR accuse me with arbitrage and DONT PAY on: September 19, 2022, 08:31:08 PM
An arbitrage bet is a normal bet and you cannot be penalized for it.
Some casino definitely do not allow this kind of betting. The best way to avoid getting caught up in the fiasco is by first reading through their terms of service.

and more .licensed from curacao this site is illegal for every country.how are they going to determine which countries are allowed when they themselves are doing illegal activity Grin
Are you trying to say gambling is illegal in all countries? I don't think so.
1919  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ETH/BTC, what does it reveal to you? on: September 19, 2022, 08:22:50 PM
So I saw some people discussing ETH/BTC ratio and I don't  understand why this is important. (Or any other ratio where two coins are compared. ) So what does it tell you? Why some people look at it.
Some traders actually use the ETH/BTC trading pair as an indicator to determine when to buy or self of ETH or BTC. Check out the ETH/BTC trading chart along with the Bitcoin dominance chart, you will notice a historical pattern.

The ETH/BTC trading pair also helps traders determine if the altcoin season is on.
1920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETHPoW on: September 18, 2022, 11:55:38 PM
I think offering the same features as ETH and on top of them to be a mineable coin like EthW wants to be and help the community should be enough to make this coin to take the second place from ETH which is currently second (but most probably not for long).

If on top of that the community and developers of EthW are able to implement even more features than the ones running on ETH then this is a no brainer that this coin is going to be the new one in the second place at market cap and also keeping all of us miners happy,I have the rigs shut down but most likely will turn them on soon.
At the end of the day it's all about the numbers my friend. Whether the developers implement more features or not. if the numbers are not there EthW will keep going downwards just like you saw with ETC or all those Bitcoin folks you have witnessed.

Honestly I don't see EthW surpassing ETH in terms of marketcap let alone even get close to top 10. the coin is taking a huge dump.
