The price surge of the last week and last days is really hard to swallow for most people. I am glad that I didnt touch my BCH until now. I just let it keep rotting in my wallet... As it was basically free money I dont really care what happens, but Im happy that the price rises ofc. As to you question: I could imagine it going to $2000 in two weeks time. Depending on the overall market direction of course, I dont see BCH going up more if everything would dump again. |

I'd rather have my money in and be prepared/insured to pull out on a stop loss vs being on the side lines watching lost profit if I was in. Felt kinda dumb afterwards... On Bittrex ORDER TYPE set it to CONDITIONAL - then click CONDITION and you have options there to buy/sell at or below/above whatever price  . Certain exchanges offer certain features others don't. HITBTC has one of the best order systems but their exchange is extremely fragile and small liquidity on most coins so it's overkill until they step their shit up. I WISH bittrex had the HITBTC features or even BITFINEX where you can hide orders, do stop limits, scaled orders on auto, not really sure why bittrex isn't focusing on this stuff but they're so huge I guess for them maintaining systems and userbase growth is paramount so I doubt we'll see a change any time soon. EDIT: Also this is on a few other exchanges that are big, bittrex leads, Binance is at half. When this coin makes its way to other major exchanges (I think they will add it fast as they are losing on trading commission and this coin has proved itself safe re what exchanges look for), it's going to open you up to those exchanges markets and features. I would advise that you get comfy with at least 3 exchanges slowly so you can have a better birds eye view of the market. I tend to keep tabs/windows open for all exchanges I have positions in or coins in, sometimes one exchange leads by enough time that you have an advantage to make your trades on the secondary exchange as it follows tit for tat most times with a small delay... that and you can make better overall decisions should you ever get into hyper trading for max gains on the days swings. Zcoin on the run. 10 Days ago was at $13 and today $33. I can see a support on $20, is this because the new Znode’ Masternode System and New Reward Model??, I want to buy some more but I'm going to wait for a retrace, I think this could moon in 2018!

I guess if a project can come up with some idea that is useful in the real world and not just in theory and maybe in the future if the society turns towards digitalization, than the altcoin of these projects will boom, no matter what happens in the crypto market. Recent examples are power ledger or modum. Both solid projects with ICO's that didnt sell out, but people are realizing the value proposition now and start buying them.

Really hope that Vinny will keep its word and that he will release something ground breaking this month. Vinny is known to be a great shiller of his own company, which is good, as long as he delivers. He also called September to be a really great month for Civic. It ended up not being a great month  That might be true, in fact I had the same feeling from the beginning. But he is also a honest person. And I respect that very much. Are people on here really saying experts buy high and sell higher lol good one, what a strategy. Your saying that these experts have some crystal ball showing that a coin is going to go higher then it is, I don't think so. They buy the dips and look at the history of the coin, if it has been high many times before then the chances are that dip will reverse at some stage. To buy a new coin with no history of peaks is the stupidest thing you can do.
Look at all the coins that have had 50, 60, 70+ increase yesterday, would you buy half of them because they are high. I don't think so.
In saying that I plan on investing on POWR but not while its the highest it has been, what goes up always pulls back a bit. Id rather fatten my BTC stack on some guaranteed rises then risk buying on a high 'like an expert'
Good points, just to stimulate some positive debate, I'll disagree from a certain angle. Yes I consider myself above average/pro/whatever (aka done very well, since 2013ish). I buy highs (lows too obviously), that are predictably or unpredictably going higher, and I scale exit anticipating dips, however tomorrows dips might not dip enough to match todays prices. This coin is a rarity, can't really be looked at as a universal pattern or what pros typically do or don't do every formula and %/variable change is different for everyone. This is more akin to a NEO/OMG/WALTON organic rise coupled with real world events and the bonues of no hype re stickers on skateboards or pre-announcing news for 3 days to stimulate said hype and be let down. This is is a pleasant surprise in our eco-system and I am not dollarCostAveraging at all on this one (already in heavy profit since that decision and scaled exits along the way to buy dips as stated above). I don't believe the retracement/pullback is going to be lower than todays price and if so not by enough. The 10K sats psychological barrier has blown by, the $1 barrier is next, from there I think we're going to see momentum continue to go crazy. Could be totally wrong but as a random internet guy looking out for fellow investors best interests (who enjoy some risk and are ok if there is some loss), I wouldn't wait another second on this one. While you were waiting the price did a max of 11500 satoshi. Always remember: the beginners buy low sell high while the experts who make money buy high sell higher. Classic market psychology: in order to win in the long term you need to do the opposite of a beginner. The beginners take comfortable actions and loose while the experts go agains and are counterintuitive. You're welcome for the explanation.

Guys if I could help with this debate . This is not a financial advice , it's up to you but you can do all that you guys described while mitigating risks. Ex: you have 1000$ to invest and you made the decision that you want to be in that coin. Invest 20% regardless of the pump and wait couple of days to see how it goes. Invest another 20% and wait and so on to spread out the cost over 10 days let's say. Unlikely the trend stays the same over 10 days. If it's to crash at some point you won't loose the max and if it pumps you won't earn the max either . Meanwhile this means you will have time to observe and assess further this opportunity. How does sound for you  Thats well formulated and sounds very reasonable to me. I will try to think the other way around now. But I definitely dont consider myself as an expert so I need to learn to act that way! Thanks alot for this comment though! Also I would like to thank you too Driendy, as I really like this strategy. Was also afraid of too much hype. And enjin ICO disappointed me. Not to mention the bonuses for the guys who "cared" However, when the team said they will rebuy the coins if it drops below the ICO price, convinced me to invest in ICO. The product can be good (it sure is needed in the space) and the team is excellent! Not many ICOs and alt-coins like that flying around atm. I guess the team of Quantstamp really did everything right with their ICO. Also as you said the product really is needed heavily, especially with more and more scams popping up. But the demand and hype for the coin scared me away. But I will still buy some as soon as I get the possibility. The argument of rebuying the coins if they drop below ICO price is only good if they do that constantly. I made the experience with the overhyped ICO of Bancor (the one I was reffering to). They also had a buyback mechanism with most of the money that was raised beyond the hard cap. But still this lasted for only about one week or two and then price dropped below ICO and never recovered. I did not follow if they actually did the buyback. As a sidenote: I still believe in Bancor and was in for the long run anyway, so I didnt want to sell my coins, but still it would have been a way better decision to buy after ICO in that case. |

In some countries Bitcoin is already illegal, but that is not going to stop the raising in Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies for that matter. But Bitcoin has his own political problems with a lot of groups trying to take over and controll "the real bitcoin" (There are like 5 Bitcoins now) and this could affect in some way Bitcoin. The truth is that Bitcoin technollogy is not that good, it is slow, it have scalability problems, political problems, high fees, etc; and there are other cryptos that are way more better, better governance, better technology, more descentrilized and with lower fees, and when people realize this, they are going to change from bitcoin to any other better options such as NEM, Monero, Dash, PIVX, Decred, you name it! all better thatn Bitcoin.
None of the coins you mentioned (btw I'm a huge Monero fan) haven't been put to the test like bitcoin to see their shortcomings, they all have scalability issues and if they get the same number of transactions as Bitcoin the fees will be high as well. Indeed there are better coin with better tech than Bitcoin, at least they should have from what they claim. But I definitely agree with garytheasshole here, Bitcoins tech is proven! None of the other coins has been put under the same frequence of usage before. So they might also have scalability problems if they were. Best example is Ethereum, the blockchain also got clogged a lot of times already when there was a huge number of transactions happening at the same time. I guess only time will tell which blockchain is really scalable for the masses. Most likely it wont be Bitcoin if crypto really becomes mainstream, but maybe a scalable fork of the Bitcoin. We will see! |

True said. Bitcoin broke that 8000USD barrier and is heading towards 8500USD now. Thats somewhat amazing but also scares me as this growth of Bitcoins value is not really organic in my opinion. Its more speculation than many might think it is. So if speculators start cashing out, weak hands will follow and this will result in a sharp decline in value. I hope that the price keeps rising until 10k so that we can say we got an all time high of 10k in 2017! After that if price goes down to 6k or so Im willing to buy in again! An economic crisis might come really soon, in the first part of 2018, and I think people might find their refuge in Bitcoin, since it's the digital gold. I really think It will continue to grow despite the downturn of the economy, so I think people won't sell it for now. Interesting point here, what makes you think that there will be a global economic crisis in the first quartal of 2018? I am really curious what will happen to Bitcoin in the near future. If what you said turned out to be true and people really flew into Bitcoin, it is likely that many countries will try to regulate or even forbid Bitcoin. |

I have more problems with polo. Polo works a little slow for me. Binance platform is really quick. I like its background too. There are good tokens to trade. It can grow fastly

Think hard before buying this coin that went up over 10x and is already in top 30 CMC by now. It's shiled hard everywhere with announcement and partherships fomo. If you didn't get in early do yourself a favor and don't get in at this pumped price, it will start selling very soon since people will be taking big profits on this one. Don't chase!
Totally agree here. Its very risky to get in now and I would stay away from it too. Always remember: buy low, sell high. Not the other way around. I know fomo can be tempting sometimes and of course nobody can predict the market and maybe POWR is going to rise even more, but what are you going to do if its not? I would not bet on it cause there is a lot of hype and fomo buying that is happening. is it worth buying it at this price?
I would definitely wait for a dip. But thats just me. Maybe there wont be a dip soon so buying now could also bring good returns. Nobody can predict the market! |
