Www.eyeboot.com sell replacement fans. I've just bought two from them for my S9 (to try and get the noise down with matched fans rather than two different ones it came with) and they work great. Not bad on price either. They come from china but delivery was only a few days after an initial communication error.

I've got two payments from the pool still showing as "pending" in my wallet. No confirms yet. Is there anything I've missed pool wise? Or is it just my wallet acting up. Two more payments after have confirmed no problems.
Just confirmed  Smiley

Total is the same though.  I have too many transactions to do the math on it but I also neglected to compare the total from blockchain.info to blocktrail.com back when the transactions were showing unconfirmed.  Apparently the total was correct even when the transactions were showing as unconfirmed.

Mine are now showing confirmed aswell. The blockchain wallet I use has always showed the total including any payments that have not yet been confirmed.

Oh I didn't notice that.  I usually only spend when everything is confirmed anyway and then I am just transferring from the blockchain wallet to a PC wallet. So did you test to see if you could spend the BTC that was showing unconfirmed yesterday?  Maybe it was all just a display error and it could have been spent all along?

No haven't tried to spend it yet. I just checked after it was mentioned that they had confirmed. Funnily enough I got an email from "Jade" at blockchain shortly afterwards saying the problem had been rectified and if anything like that happens again to let them know. It must have been on there system but obviously they won't say what it was.

If you've got one S9 hooked upto the APW3 PSU then if you unplug the PSU from the wall then it will stop mining and switch off. Possibly run for a second or two once power is off as the capacitors will have to discharge.

just don't touch that plug with your hand after you disconnected or you will get a fine memory...not.

Very good point I should have mentioned that. Some things are common sense to me, but sometimes I must remember everyone hasn't quite got the same sense  Roll Eyes Cheesy

1926  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How could one disable the fans on an Antminer S7 on: December 07, 2016, 05:17:04 PM
I've recently swapped fans on my S9 for other delta models to reduce fan noise. I can safely say that when I swapped the existing rear Fan for a delta afb1212she it ran quieter and the Rpms were a lot lower.

My point is try a different fan as one that spins slower may well have better static pressure properties so may not causing the rebooting issue.
I'm really interested in the better fan?
we all know bitmain will buy the cheapest option that will do the job.
So I'm sure there exist, just as efficient or better fans

The Delta AFB1212SHE 4 pin 1.60A at 30% fan speed setting ran at 960rpm and worked well. Ive currently got two replacement fans from www.eyeboot.com (klintay on this forum) and they are QFR1212GHE 4pin 2.70A at 25% fan speed setting run at 1800rpm but are nice and quiet unlike the original rear fan which was a JSL unit with a big hub and small blades which whined.

I can recommend the QFR and according the deltas own website the QFR is designed to be quiet and still perform extremely well.

60db? That seems a bit excessive after their claims of a home miner. My S9 is running at 53db at about 1metre away.

Wouldn't surprise me if they did overcharge for shipping cost. Just like using their own currency conversion rate  Cry

If it's PayPal then it's highly likely to be a scam attempt. So be careful.

I can't find any way to contact anyone at blockchain.  Can someone with an appropriate account twit at them or facebook them?  I am not a big fan of the social media so I don't have any accounts and I would totally just email them but they seem to have gone out of their way to make that impossible.

I've managed to email them through their Facebook page and got a standard response about "twe have no control over confirmations" to which I replied that it has confirmed on other wallet providers systems just not theirs. I'm now waiting for a reply and will update accordingly.

Wrong section I'm afraid. This is the Marketplace for buying and selling.

You want the "hardware" section which is a subforum of the "Bitcoin" -> "Mining" -> "Hardware"

Weird.  blockchain shows this block: https://blockchain.info/block-index/1172054/000000000000000003ad0c3f1fd79c55acf4be284953b54d43f83080ae74433b

It's part of the main chain, and shows subsequent blocks.

But the two pool payouts (along with all the rest of the transactions in that block) are unconfirmed on blockchain even though they show in that block:
https://blockchain.info/tx/fff00092558b09d546c40651a3922807580bc32f9c8cc7be52ef97095b6ebda2
https://blockchain.info/tx/53f8e771879fd9b6cea7aea91fde43de5ff7aa8aaf15d2cea35af09b817dac99

Neither the block before it (or importantly) the block after it, show any issues with confirmations on the transactions.  I think we can file this in the already overflowing file of reasons to conclude that blockchain.info kind of sucks.  Sadly, my pool payout wallet is there.  Sad

That's exactly what I was trying to describe. Unfortunately my wallet is there aswell  Sad

I had the same problem with one of mine. Sold it on eBay as spares or repairs.
1938  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: December 05, 2016, 09:53:07 PM
Condensation would be a concern. Also any oil or whatever in the fan bearings would thicken and put the fans under more stress. How much more I couldn't say.

Have you thought about buying some cheap insulation of some kind and lining the garage to keep some off the heat in to avoid the cold but still keep it cool for the miner?
1939  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Red light flashing Antminer S7 on: December 05, 2016, 06:54:28 PM
How long are you leaving it for? My S9 on startup will flash the red light for a few mins until its checked everything and its hashing normally.

As said take a screenshot of the GUI. But give it time to start properly first 5-10mins

The EVGA connectors have dual 6pin connectors on the end so one 8pin (marked as VGA) on the back of the psu actually supply's two 6pin connectors the other end.
