Are you using the 4pin or 8pin EPS to power the mobo? The pico cannot power the mobo by itself.

How are you connecting everything? Got some poctures?

Currently 32.5 mh ETH and 160mh Pasc, dual mining. Whole rig of 5x1070ti is 710w

Ive currently got my 1070tis set to 700mem 200core and 70tdp
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8 x Gigabyte 1080Ti very low hash rate. What can be a problem? on: December 31, 2017, 10:28:58 AM
Yea you need to adjust your OC settings. Im currently on +200core +650-700 mem on 70% Power limit.
966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: So, what do you do with all the boxes? on: December 30, 2017, 07:39:40 PM
Always keep the boxes for resale and warranty purposes. Only get rid of the box for a card if its defective and cant be repaired. Or keep it and sell it for parts on ebay....with the box. Everyone loves an original box with anything  Cheesy

There is plenty of information on the forum aboit different rigs. Use google and youtube as references aswell. Thats why i did and set up my first rig gpu rig a couple of months ago. Currently making around £200 a month profit (only compared to electricty cost at £0.13kwh here. Not fussed about roi as the resale value of the cards will be fine and i intend to make a decent computer for a family member.

Same chipset but each manufacuturer is different.
970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rig of 6 gpu's does not boot if no display is plugged in on: December 29, 2017, 08:08:59 PM
Have you switched it to use onboard graphics as primary display device in the bios?

Cant speak on either board. Im using an asrock z270 pro4 and its good so far. Ive found for these cards pci settings at gen2 are most stable.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rig is drawing 1.2Kw. What am I doing wrong? on: December 29, 2017, 07:45:12 AM
Download afterburner and search the forum for various settings for each algo. For eth they seem to be happy at 70tdp 200core 700mem (maybe 650 if its a fussy card)

Thats absolutely fine on errors.
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Current best powered risers available? on: December 29, 2017, 06:41:59 AM
Should be fine. My total length of cables is about 2.5ft. I use extenstions/adapters to go from 6pin to 8pin.

Motherboard must be designed for mining, not the typical gaming mobo.
You can get a supported processor as low as an i3 (it won't be an issue) but the higher, the fancier.
Just be cautious when building a rig with a riser, the riser must be powered.

And the 5 identical cards are good but I don't know what will happen when you add the next one.
Although they are all 1070ti-s, things can get wrong.

No it doesnt have to be designed for mining unless he wants to build a 12 or more card rig. Personally a rig with 6-8carfs in is fine. A second rig the same will always be my option as then you havent got all eggs in one basket

There was an issue about an antminer that has problems when it loses internet connection. It could well have been the S7. I think your best option is to stick with where you are both in power usage and in error rate. No point uppoing anymore if the extra has is wasted in errors  Wink

You cannot use any other fans apart from identical cfm/rpm design due to the cooling. They are noisy because they need that much airflow over the heatsinks. Do you not think that if they could have used a slower quieter fan that it would be fitted as standard?!  The whole noise/fan issue has been covered to death on the forum in various places. Please take a good look around and do some research.
Sorry i did't express myself clearly. These fans were meant to be as extra in both ends of the box.

They would actually cause more restriction. You want at least the same spec fans supplying and exhausting air. You could use acoustic ducting with an inline fan to help the exhaust. Again this has been covefed in the forum befofe numerous times.

You may not be overclocking but are you still running at 100%TDP in Afterburner?

I wanna  exploit my dormitory free electricity (we share one kitchen with 2  rooms, and share power bills with entire building). I am aware of sound that s9 makes. Not sure how much sound these cheap carton doors block.

If i use these  https://www.arvutitark.ee/est/tootekataloog/corsair/35237 in both ends,  should it make cooler?

And ofc if i can't find solution i am gonna use friends garage where he is already mining coins.

1850w? Thats not too bad if it actually outputs that. 1500w is about as far as I would push it. Leave some head room as you never really want to max out a psu. 50% load is most wfficient for most psu’s. 80%load is safe max really.

Just inch it until you reach the power limit or reach a point where your HW error rate increases alot
