1961  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trade Bitcoin Without Fees on: September 05, 2022, 10:08:50 PM
If david678345 is a scalper, likely he trades derivatives (future trading) to be able to open long and short position. Exchanges do not use derivative market trading fee to joke, they are charging fee for it.

For derivative market, use Binance perpetual BUSD pair, you will be able to trade with low fee.
He's talking about trading bitcoin, probably pointing to buying and selling on spot market. not shorting or longing Bitcoin

Op, you might wanna look at the different spot trading tiers of different exchanges. Some exchanges offer 0 Market maker fees for holding a specified number of the exchange token like it is the case with Bybit - https://blog.bybit.com/post/major-benefits-of-the-bitdao-bit-holders-incentive-program-blt2d769d73fd57e5a6/
1962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How is that most DeFi Platforms are getting major blow(hacking) of their funds on: September 03, 2022, 11:46:15 PM
Because Defis are not what you think they are. Most are actually centralized and ponzi schemes but most of the newbies are made to believe they are a sort decentralized financial freedom. They are money making schemes so obviously they don't care about security.

I fee l pity for people who fall for such useless schemes that have no future.
1963  Other / Meta / Re: Temporary ban removal appeal on: September 03, 2022, 10:37:59 PM
Or did he just comment on the giveaway thread created by another user?
~if this be the case, then I don't understand why he got banned if his or her comment/post wasn't spammy.

The above is where my confusion lies, and I really want to understand so i can know what to tell my newbie friends on the forum on the topic of avoiding a ban.
A user can get a ban for even commenting or replying in a giveaway thread. This is no secret. In case you didn't know, now you know.

Replying in a giveaway thread means that one is under an incentive to post there hence it still counts as spam. if I create a post asking 100 members to reply and each receiving $10 for replying. According to you, aren't the 100 replies I will get on my thread not considered spam?
1964  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this allowed? on: September 03, 2022, 09:37:53 AM
This topic is to clarify the matter and not to accuse the campaign manager. He may not be aware of it either, and in order not to cause this to ban accounts that may not be aware that this may be a violation of one of the rules on the forum.
If you were so concerned then you should have inquired from him about the issue through PM rather than use an alt account to "accuse" from here. Obviously it's an accuse. If it wasn't, you would be using your main account.

I see no big deal in the quotes you presented.
1965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Where can I find information on mining Monero - XMR? on: September 02, 2022, 11:34:11 PM
I think you are going to focus on monero mining communities like this subreddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/MoneroMining/

They have very good informative posts like this - https://www.reddit.com/r/MoneroMining/comments/lt9xzj/faqs_for_noobs_read_this_before_posting/

1966  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [Take advantage of crypto volatility] bear or bull market on: September 01, 2022, 11:53:55 PM
You should have also emphasized on the ugly side of trading too. When a newbie reads you story, they might think trading is as easy as A, B, C and D. You may have made those attractive looking profits but through hurdles of losses

So much as we should take advantage of volatility, we should also have it in mind that it can take advantage us and blow away our accounts if proper risk management is not done.
1967  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: EPISODE 2: I TEACH YOUNG ADULTS ON BITCOIN TRADING on: September 01, 2022, 11:41:00 PM
I don't exactly know how old your students are but some of them surely look to be below 18. How do you go about this when setting up and accounts for them on binance. Remember Binance requires verification before using their service. If I am not mistaken, those below 18 are not allowed to trade. How did you manage to bypass that restriction when they were verifying?

Nice follow up teaching, but do you think it not that too early to tackle trading Bitcoin when they had a little grasp of what really Bitcoin is?  They might end up blaming you if ever they failed on their trading venture since they haven't got any fundamental learning of Bitcoin and its market.
Not if he clearly warns them of the risks involved with trading.
Trading fucks up everyone, no one comes out a virgin  Grin
The only way of learning how to trade is by practicing, getting fucked and then trying to avoid the same mistakes in future. one can't learn only through theory.

1968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Started another 500 to 5k Challenge on: September 01, 2022, 11:25:34 PM
I would highly advise against leveraged/derivative trading but that's from my own perspective as I have been burnt many times before. And I am quite a veteran trader, so think it over.
I don't know if he loses certain trades as i have seen only wins when i skimmed through his profile sometime back but i think he's obviously aware of the dangers to trading using leverage so you are wasting time advising him against it.

Some questions I have for OP are;
1. Do you ever make bad trades (ones that hit your stop losses)
2. If yes, what is your win rate like?
3. What is your risk/reward ratio or you don't consider RR?
1969  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Preev.com Alternative | CoinConvert on: September 01, 2022, 11:04:06 PM
Nice site, I like the simplicity. One problem though, when I click on the "dark mode" switch, nothing happens.
By the way, I don't know about the others, but I would very much like to see a dark mode by default.
I don't know if OP saw your comment and fixed the problem but in case he did not, mine works perfectly. The problem might be with your browser or some extension in your browser. I am currently using Opera browser with no extensions.
1970  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best crypto portfolio tracker? on: September 01, 2022, 10:52:56 PM
You might want to tell us if you intent to keep your purchased assets in an exchange or keep them in address, if it's the later then there are so many portfolio trackers that can help many of which members have already mentioned.

There's also Bituniverse and coinstats
1971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lost 10 BTC in between Feb and May on: September 01, 2022, 10:08:01 AM
lol, you must think only shitcoins or nft people can lose money, dude read what he said, he lost by trading btc (10 btc to be precise) I believe it was clearly written in the heading of the post.
Maybe you are the one who need to understand the post better

He said he lost 10 BTC he didn't specify how? Did he say he lost 10 BTC trading Bitcoin?

People can lose money through btc too, most traders trading btc with less knowledge are bound to lose if they are not careful, alts are not the only way to lose money.  Wink
Besides, shitcoins have also made several millionaires  Tongue
And where have i said people don't lose money trading Bitcoin?

Besides, shitcoins have also made several millionaires  Tongue
This is where you people get fucked. You think everyone can become a millionaire over night if they trade shitcoins. If I may ask, if several are millionaires, then how many have got their life time savings and account REKT to zero
1972  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Thodex: Turkish Crypto Exchange Owner Runs Off After Stealing $2 Billion on: August 30, 2022, 11:59:25 PM
All the news reports I found clearly state he is still missing and wanted even though Turkish police and prosecutors travelled to 4 countries in the search to track him down and bring him to justice:

Most news outlets today have been covering a story of his arrest

https://finbold.com/thodex-crypto-exchanges-ceo-arrested-for-allegedly-defrauding-investors-of-2-7-billion/
1973  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Thodex transferred 125 million bitcoins to Kraken before closing on: August 30, 2022, 11:49:57 PM
In a new development, the CEO of the exchange who had disappeared was arrested in Albania according to several news sources

Turkey said Albanian police have arrested Fatih Ozer, the founder and CEO of cryptocurrency trading platform Thodex, who has been sought by Turkish authorities over fraud accusations. The process to extradite Ozer to Turkey has started, according to a statement from the Interior Ministry.

What was he thinking trying to pull of such an exit scam?
1974  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Preev.com Alternatives? on: August 30, 2022, 11:16:58 PM

CoinMarket cap added a Bitcoin price canvertor and since then I stopped using preev and use Coinmarketcap for this purpose only because there I can check prices of every coin.

all you need to do is to open the page of a specific coin and scoll down little bit. you'll see the price canvertor there. the only cons in this that it just shows prices in USD

I believe that everyone knows how to use CMC, even beginners. it is not the essence, but the simplicity of use.
How many ads need to be loaded or unnecessary information on CMC before you find useful information about the current price of some coin?
You are right, CMC is pretty messed up from the annoying adverts to how slow the site loads. In fact I myself abandoned using the site sometime back.

I just came another alternative (https://myri.io/) but it's worth noting that it gets it's prices from only Bitstamp.
1975  Other / Meta / Re: How username turned into "Anonymous" in 2022? on: August 30, 2022, 10:59:30 PM
Obviously only the admins have the ability to do that.

There could have been a more than satisfactory reason as to why admin changed it to anonymous. Perhaps it was a sensitive issue but we may never know. I think the best thing you should have done was to ask him about this via PM.

He probably wanted the OP to be anonymous in that post and let it slide off quietly and now you just exposed everything here   Lips sealed
1976  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Money but from where on: August 30, 2022, 10:40:01 PM
The time you have right now is your money but you haven't realized it just yet. get something you feel you have talent in or something you think you love to do then polish up your skill and then monetize it.
it could be art, graphics designing, marketing, article writing etc. there are lots of opportunities around if you have a good skill set and a good reputation that you can build over time.
1977  Economy / Reputation / Re: Abuse of Edit function to reach quota on: August 30, 2022, 10:33:34 PM
It's pretty evident that this signature campaign is filled with spammers, who don't mind promoting a service that has scammer numerous users, and are also abusing basic forum functions in order to reach their minimum quota.
Yeah, the 1xbit scam decided to hire only spammers since quality posters won't bother to ruin their reputations advertising for scam. I think about 95% of the participants have no knowledge about sports and gambling
I don't even bother reading most replies posted by anyone wearing an 1xbit signature
1978  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Roobet Scammed me for $2,000+ on: August 30, 2022, 08:23:33 PM
I have received a reply today, and I am hoping Roobet be fair with me

I'll keep you updated about the situation
They should because they have a reputation to protect here. They have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in advertisements, promotions and contests. I don't think they would try to trash all they have been trying to build for years for just $2000 most especially if you didn't abuse their casino.
1979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5,000 BTC from Satoshi-Era Wallet Moved on: August 30, 2022, 08:10:49 PM
What for accounts are these?
What accounts for the fact that 1,000 other users moved more than 1 BTC today?
Nothing!

Just because someone has held lots of BTC for many years shouldn't mean that he or she is first supposed to explain to use why they are moving the BTC  Roll Eyes
1980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lost 10 BTC in between Feb and May on: August 30, 2022, 08:01:38 PM
Would you mind sharing how exactly you lost it?

Was it through buying NFTs or shitcoins or trading futures with very high leverage?

I find this profile interesting (https://twitter.com/coinfessions) when you read through the confession, you realized that so many people are in the same boat like you.
I would also encourage you to avoid being greedy when it comes to taking profits in markets.
