2121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's preventing bitcoin from worldwide adoption? on: April 04, 2022, 02:25:18 PM
Bitcoin remains to be adopted by every country in the world for various reasons. Here are my thoughts on why..

1. Government policies: Most government and financial institutions round the world seem not to want bitcoin cause of the financial freedom it gives to its users. They would want to control and tax the flow of finances of individuals and they probably fear the anonymous nature of its transactions. Some policies even go as far as criminalizing its use.

2. Scammers and fraudulent practices: Scammers have found bitcoin as a safe haven cause of its transactions being anonymous. Also, terrorist groups among other sources get funded by bitcoin also cause of its anonymous nature. Fraudulent practices and transactions are made with ease wth the use of bitcoin.

3. Fluctuating value: The value of bitcoin isn't steady as it rises and falls. The uncertainty in the price and value greatly hinders the general adoption worldwide.

4. Awareness: Nearly not enough effort on creating and spreading positive awareness on it as some government and individuals alike is hell bent on spreading negativity around and poisoning the minds of prospective users. People need to be aware and understand what bitcoin is really about and be awake to its uses.

5. Information hoarding: You could get lots of information about anything on the internet including bitcoin. But the internet can be misleading to newbies cause you could get right and wrong and also misleading information on the internet. It puzzles me that people with an in depth knowledge of bitcoin would purposefully hoard and keep information to themselves. You may think people don't hoard information but in reality, people do. It irksome just thinking about it. If people could share information, newbies won't readily fall prey to scammers.

These are my thoughts on what's preventing bitcoin from being adapted worldwide.

Great list you got there.

I agree with everything that you have listed most especially the first one. The government keeps on interfering with the mass adoption of bitcoin because bitcoin gives financial freedom to most, if not all, of their users. Bitcoin paves way to offer great opportunities such as it being an income generator, store of value, and mode of payment. Because it is decentralized, the transactions made inside the blockchain is totally out of reach of the government. They have no power over it, unlike those of that occur inside the centralized platforms.

I consider bitcoin as an eye-opener because most people have been enlightened by what the government and central organizations are doing on their funds, thanks to crypto. Personally, I know so many people that didn't really realize what their money can do for them because they trust the banks so much. Fortunately, crypto awareness has becoming a thing which is why most people are now knowledgeable about what banks do with their money, and about how little they make in storing their assets for long period of time in it.

In addition, crypto has given people opportunity to grow out of their comfort zone and to save for their future without worrying. That's why it's so saddening because the worldwide adoption is still far from happening due to the aforementioned reasons. Hopefully, in the near future, there will be more openness regarding this topic and the transition would be smoothly done.
2122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe it is to invest in cryptocurrency on: April 04, 2022, 01:53:24 PM
I would rather say that Bitcoin is a decentralized way of saving money, once a vast majority of other cryptocurrencies (so called shitcoins) will make you lose money in the mid/long term.
Who really cares about Bitcoin and understands how different it is compared to the fiat system, also understand the importance of hodling it. Those who are seeking for the quick buck will get into the other coins, trade, etc, and will eventually win and lose money over time, but in the long run, I believe most of those coins will have little to no value.

Bitcoin is indeed a store of value. I believe it is safe to invest in cryptocurrency in general despite all the negative news circulating the mainstream media. As long as you know how to store well your private keys and do all safety measures in order to secure your funds, then youvhave nothing to sorry about.

Bitcoin can act as both mode of payment and store of value. In fact, a lot of people nowadays use it for both of its functionalities. It is very handy and convenient for people to have their assets stored in crypto because it can accummulate over time, and it is not prone to inflation as well as hacking, only if you know how to store and handle well your account's information.

If people would be knowledgeable enough about bitcoin, there would be so many advantages and benefits waiting for them out there. Vast opportunities such as profiting due to their skills and techniques could be given. Hopefully, more people would see bitcoin as a thing to entrust so they could make the most of what they have.
2123  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Price target on: April 02, 2022, 04:54:20 PM
no one knows what the highest price will be this year, it could happen in the near future or not this year to reach that price. if this increase is just a trap, then what we need to prepare is to wait for a lower price to buy it, of course it doesn't stop there, because it can go down again. and we can buy it back, therefore financial arrangements are very important here to run several scenarios. this will be treated differently if we do short-term trading

I don't see it as a trap but rather a correction and this usually happens after the negative effects of different events but since there are lots of adaptions happening around the world, I'm sure that the market could strike higher than its current situation. Mostly, Bitcoin's price is the result of events around us but no matter what the market situation is, it's still an opportunity to earn.

I agree.

Bitcoin support at 44K is very strong, I think there would be a retest on that one and if it didn't hold, I see Bitcoin at 38K again. But that's just my opinion, based on the charts. Others says that Bitcoin will jump to 55K when it went bullish. Many people are hoping that we could achieve the 100K per Bitcoin by the end of the year, so finger's crossed and let's see what's gonna happen.

<snip>
however freebitco does not have a complete selection of games. I really like playing slots and sometimes sports betting, while there is no freebitcoin, so that's why I prefer to play at betfury, bk8 or owl games.
Same thoughts. Freebitco is fast loading since its components are very lightweight. Though it has a lot of users it is still quick to reload, I believe it is fully optimized too.

The preference of the OP matters here, he should tell what games does he want to play.

If he wants to play slots, he should try removing other tabs so the connection will focus only on the site.
If he want to play live games, he configure the video settings to lower resolution, it is avalable.

Freebitco is the most generous site that gives satoshis (small amount right now, but big way back then) especially if you have a lot of referrals. They also have a gambling game, but only one, if I'm not mistaken, correct me if I'm wrong because it's been too long since the last time I logged in in their site.

No hassle in freebitco, no KYC, you just have to verify your email and that's it.
2125  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Tonik Digital Bank planning to integrate crypto services sa app nila! on: April 02, 2022, 03:39:52 PM
Mukhang may bagong player nanaman na papasok sa crypto field at kahit wala akong masyadong ideya tungkol sa kanila, it's still a good thing dahil it indirectly forces others to improve their services: PH Digital Bank Tonik on the Lookout for Crypto Partners

  • May mga Tonik users ba dito? I'm curious to know kung reliable sila or not?

Sad to say, daming nagsisilipatan ng bank from tonik to other banks dahil sa issue like floating money. Meron din instances na double debit yung transaction, na nakakafrustrate. In addition, hindi rin namaintain ng tonik yung no fees nila sa mga transactions. Dati kasi, free yung transfer nila sa e-wallets and other banks. Ngayon, may fee na lahat. Even pagcash-in sa mga kiosk meron na rin fee, na dati, wala.

Understandable naman mawala yung free na transfer fee. Pero mas maganda sana nagtira sila kahit once a month lang like other digital banks.

Kasi sa fiat nga nila, nagffloat transactions, what if mangyari sa crypto, mas hassle. Nakakadala pa naman kapag matagal mabalik yung pera, lalo na yung iba need yung fund urgently.
2126  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Worth it pa ba ang mag invest sa crypto? on: April 02, 2022, 02:57:20 PM

2127  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: April 02, 2022, 02:15:39 PM
Indeed, as much as possible, we have to be human, don't make an equal judgment on people based on their nationality or skin. When people say stop being racist, we should it's wrong to be a racist, and also sanctioning a gambling site because they are operated in Russia is like being a racist.
That we should be objective in responding to everything about the war from Russia to not involve anything else such as an attempt to boycott gambling platforms from Russia, has absolutely no impact on gambling sites because they are not involved with the activities of the Russo-Ukrainian war.
What's important is that we can help stop the war without involving other things like racism, religion, or anything else. Many things have happened during or after the war that we don't exactly know. The vital industries that have been affected by the war and, of course, the innocent people continue to suffer. Hopefully, there is a peaceful way from both sides and the other party who is not involved in the war does not add to the heat of the situation so that the war can end soon.

Agree. If there's a way to possibly peacefully resolve all of these, it would be better because a lot of innocent lives are already at stake the moment war started up until to this date that it is continuously happening. Many establishments, sectors, and industries has been heavily affected most especially in Ukraine due to the invasion. Each day, more and more civilians are being traumatized and fall into their demise despite the promise that the military won't target civilians.

Although I'm not really in favor of boycotting in general, but a collective boycott to those who deserves it is what I really want. After all, not everyone wants war. It's just saddening that most Russians according to the survey conducted wants it as much as Putin. Hopefully, the conflict between them will be over soon.
2128  Economy / Gambling / Re: how to choose best Gambling website for Gambling ? on: April 02, 2022, 01:28:15 PM
I am very new to gambling, I am facing many issues for this but I don't understand such as: RTP, house edge I don't understand these things. What  should I need to keep in mind  to choose a good gambling website?

Now that you've mentioned the two terminologies that are important, you can start off from there. These two are considered great for a casino if the rate is much higher in favor of the player. RTP is return to player. The higher it is, the higher chances of winning on your part, only that, this still revolves around luck. So, the odds and luck is still of importance to be on your favor.

Meanwhile, house edge refers to the player's profit over time depending on the rate. If  the house edge is pretty much lower than usual, a player can profit much more. Inversely, the player will tend to lose bets.

Aside from looking at these two, always consider reputation. A casino having a good reputation can save a a headache in the process. If you will pick a casino, pick one of the best so you won't get tangled in chaotic transaction processes.
2129  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Drake became partners of the Stake Casino on: April 02, 2022, 12:48:19 PM
Quote
stake is not the first gambling site that make use of celebrity for promotion

I cant think of anyone so big being involved in a gambling promotion for crypto, its surely a big scoop to have someone that well known on your team.  Also he is just very rich, whatever percentage he chooses to gamble is all very reasonable to him and people go for large numbers.   I personally appreciate the really long shot multibet type odds that occur even if the amount put down is a small amount but the simple fact is people gambling large amounts will always appear a bigger deal

But stake somewhat got the attention of many here owed to Drake. Yes, they are not the first but in my opinion, they got good following when drake posted those insta bets from stake. A very subtle promotion as stake has not confirmed their collaboration yet when Drake posted those bets. I believe he has followers who are noncrypto users who also are now stake players. Just guessing here.  Wink

Indeed. Those collaborations and sponsorship really work wonders if used right and done by suitable personalities. The main goal of these celebrity endorsements is to garner more potential investors in which they can make new patronage to. Which happens whenever people are enticed or encouraged to play by certain factors such as by following their chosen and liked personalities.

Clearly, Drake has a wide reach of following that he could influence which is definitely a win for Stake. And of course, it woulf benefit him too given that partnerships come with perks and advantages that he can utilize.
2130  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Crypto Signals trading on: April 01, 2022, 02:20:48 PM
Hello,
Does anyone know a very good Cryto signals group for scalping ?

I found so many, some are scam and some without results.

Mostly of the signal groups you'll see in social media platforms are not legit, that's why I suggest self studying, much better, safer, and money wise. I also joined a lot of scams signal groups way back 2021 but I just wasted my money on doing so. There's a lot of tutorials in YouTube, you just have to make topics that you wanted to know in order to easily understand what they are saying in youtube.
2131  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Few Tips I learnt from trading that blew my account. on: April 01, 2022, 01:29:02 PM
I agree about all of the things you've mentioned.

My favorites are "Don't chase the market" and "Don't be greedy", because I totally can relate to that. After you lose a trade, a good reentry is a must, if you lost your trade because you went short then it pumps, doesn't mean that the next trade you'll do is to buy, you need to make another TA for that, not just randomly making trades.
2132  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Occupational hazards of trading crypto on: April 01, 2022, 12:09:22 PM
Many occupations are plagued with occupational hazards, that is long term effects of staying in a profession for a long time.

say for instance, For retired mechanical engineers who spent most of their active years working in places with heavy machinery with much noise, you'd notice how they always speak at the top of their voice and may have hearing defects.

For retired medical practitioners, due to long exposure to hospital environment that always has a particular smell, you observe that they may loose their sense of smell.

For Nuclear Engineers, they are at a higher risk of suffering the long term effects of radiation after retirement.

Aim of this Discuss
Trading of crypto full time as an occupation is fast becoming a trend, this discuss is to elucidate the long term effects associated with crypto trading so that forum members who are considering it as a career option can know what they should be expecting and how to avoid it.

The very first long-term occupational hazard i can think of is the development of High blood pressure...

What can you add to the list of dangers associated with making crypto trading a full time occupation?

I think I would agree about developing high blood pressure but it also depends on your lifestyle, on what you eat and how often you do exercise. The thing I could say that someone would develop in the long term is the emotional damage they could get if they are not going to be a successful trader. The positive thing that they could develop would be proper risk management, money management, and emotional control.
2133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your opinions about simulated reality games? on: April 01, 2022, 11:34:47 AM
I usually use filter and remove simulated reality sports game and cyber sports game like basketball and football even if they are controlled by two people. I don't trust them and only stick and rely to the real sports and provably fair games. I am not sure but there is an instinct in me that those game were not fair as real sports and in house games.

I agree.

I think most of the simulated reality games are being manipulated by their respective developers to maximize their bankroll every single day. I'd rather stick to real sports as well because it's more fun to do, and the excitement is always there to give you entertainment while betting. Simulated games for me are like those lowkey scheme NFT(s) that are flooding the market right now.
2134  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: An advice for newbies and plebs on: March 31, 2022, 03:34:30 PM
I agree.

Market right now is somehow unpredictable, it seems that it is a bearish one but sometimes it looks like it's a bullish one. Trading right now is really not that easy, I guess for newbies and amateur traders that just started trading. I get your point as well, maybe sticking to stock trading right now is a good idea or not, but at least it's much safer.
2135  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What and where? on: March 31, 2022, 02:34:29 PM
I saved up a few this month and planning to invest a part of it in trading but I'm not really sure where to start. What should I trade and I'm leaning on using binance since I am confident in using it for a year now. What can you suggest?

Binance is a great place to trade, they are worth to be trusted because for me, they are the best cryptocurrency exchanger. You could first try to trade top coins, BTC and ETH, because they have high volatility which is good and bad when you're trading in futures. Just make sure that you're aware about your trading habits, because if not, you're gonna just lose your money.

Stock trading is not bad either, much safer but you need patient to wait for the right time to sell your coins.
2136  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What have been your crypto trading experience on: March 31, 2022, 01:57:42 PM
What is the most valuable experience that has been a guide for your cryptocurrency trading?

I think the most valuable experience that I've gained in trading is to never stop learning even though you're not yet there, in a place where you're making profits mostly of your trades. It's still tough sometimes for me because I still mess up my technical analysis and forget something very important to make a successful trade. I, sometimes want to quit because I've lost a quite few of my money in trading while learning.

But it's natural for that to happen because trading is not always about making profits. It's about losing money while gaining knowledge that could bring you profits in the future.
2137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Long Term Holders - When Do You Plan To Cash Out? on: March 30, 2022, 03:38:54 PM
Everybody is in a different situation. Anybody who bought pre 2017 should probably have taken some pressure off their lives by buying a house or something. Never sell all your bitcoin, hell don’t sell over 50% but it’s a good idea to sell some to make significant positive changes to make your life better.

Can't agree more. We have different status and priorities in life. Hence, the time we plan to cash out varies from one person to another. Depending on the situation you are in, you can either hodl until you can and/or cash out from time to time whenever you feel like it or need it. After all, we should still enjoy the fruit of our patience even just for the little things.

Personally, I prefer to practice delayed gratification so that the reward will be bigger and more satisfying the moment it's already the right and perfect timing. It could be different to you and to others because some might have cash out now because they need to in order to survive or get by.
2138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Gambling Site on: March 30, 2022, 02:25:24 PM
As noted above, there are a huge number of good gambling sites that combine gambling and betting on sporting events. I think it is difficult to choose the best gambling platform because each of us has completely different preferences and requirements gambling providers and this is quite normal.

You're right. There are numerous gambling sites that are definitely reputable and worth the referral to other people. Most of those reputable websites offer a good quality of service such as in the games itself, processing of transaction (deposit and withdrawal) and the likes. However, we have different taste in terms of what a casino offers. Like what you said, we have different preferences. What might suits me best might not really work for you.

But if you OP really want to know what's the best gambling site, you can consider looking for what most of the members suggest here such as sportsbet to check if it's within your liking (if you are into sports gambling).
2139  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Sites on: March 30, 2022, 01:32:36 PM
Have several gambling site restricted from my country and usually as active on Stake gambling platform, depending with your country rule because all majority will not allowed or restricted with gambling site platform. Have looking with trusted gambling platform site as allowed with your IP address without have helped by using VPN, will got bad thing later if try keep access with gambling platform site by using VPN and have potential with your account suspended because break out from term of service from gambling rule.
There are those casinos that are really restricting users if they're found in those countries that they're not supporting. OP isn't on that condition I guess but rather there's a problem upon his access to gamdom.
It's working on my end and OP has to try it again if it's still not working, he has to check his ISP and everything related to his internet connection. But if still no issue found there, he can contact gamdom and address his issue that he's not able to load the website.
actually Gambling sites need not to find where their players live because in TOS they have clearly mentioning in which countries are not allowed to play(if there are some) because of the regulations of their government and their restrictions will be added.
and do not blame those site that banned their players who missed reading their rules and restrictions because it is our obligation being gambler to understand everything before depositing and before playing so you'll not facing any issue in your withdrawal .

You have a valid point. Each casinos clearly state on their terms of service the do's and don'ts. Most of them, if not all, already placed on the agreement on where areas they are allowed to be played and where isn't. Now, if the player read that, there won't be any problem. However, if the player didn't read it or insists on playing it despite the statement of the casino, it would be their fault and they should be punished in accordance to the grievance of it.

If the casino decided to ban them, then they should just accept it as it is because it's their mistake and they should own it up like a grown up man. It is the players responsibility to read before clicking "i agree" in any website or platform. Hence, it is none of the website's fault if they would forbid them to play so they could learn their lesson.
2140  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: March 30, 2022, 01:01:47 PM
Why not boycott mass media or press instead then? There are little independent news channels or reporters, majority belongs to someone and show truth profitable for only one part of party. Same as crypto influencers, that just get paid to say what is scripted.

Ukraine wont surrender, Russia wont stop until they reach their "unclear goal of this war" (otherwise other countries will jump on Russia like hyenas on dying lion and tear it apart). Make more sanctions against - everyone suffer from sanctions now. Russia suffers now, other countries will suffer later. Boycotting Russian gambling platforms ? I dont believe it will help, as foreigners dont gamble there much.

This makes sense. It's a breath of fresh air to read such opinion like this. When i think of it, this could possibly make a change because most media is controlled and manipulated by a larger entity that only shows what is favorable to them to to the personality that they are in agreement with. As a matter of fact, those people behind the camera and pens are much more powerful whenever there's a war because they can either make or break what people think about the situation. If they would want to, they can easily twist the truth on their hands.

Besides, not really everyone gambles and not every gambling business owner is in favor of the war. Addressing it by making more sanctions will just make the average people and those people below the poverty line suffer even more. While others are rejoicing in the comforts of their homes.
