2321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: October 29, 2021, 10:43:55 AM
Yes, I can also feel that this will be a different fight and because this two great boxers are from Philippines, I guess it's safe to say the we can get to see toe-to-toe exchanging punches this coming 11th of December this year.
Donaire is good at that and he likes a boxer that fights toe to toe because he is accurate with his timing.
If Gaballo will use that kind of strategy, I think this fight will not reach round 12.

Maybe it's time for the new to replace the old, but I guess Nonito won't back on easily for Reymart. Even if this young blood have a KO rate of about 88% than Nonito's 66% KO rate, still Donaire have the experience advantage.
That's gonna be a big challenge for Gaballo because if he really likes to be a champion, he has to bet the current champion which he has the advantage since Donaire is already 39 years old.
2322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 29, 2021, 09:50:14 AM
The Spurs vs. Mavs match looks interesting. The Spurs lead by only 2 points after the first half, although they even led by 20 points in the first quarter. It's worth noting that the Mavs had a disgusting performance at the beginning of this match, considering that they made only 1 out of 11 in the first half of the first quarter.

Mavericks easily erase that deficit, we are in the 4th quarter now and the Mavericks already had a lead of 8 points, so they'll likely win this game.

I'm wondering also what's the odds for the Mavericks that time if we took in a live bet?

If my memory serves me right, even though the Suns took the lead, it was still Dallas who are the favourite with that score. And they actually won the game 104-99.
You mean the Spurs, not the Suns.

At that kind of score, I don't think you can take Dallas as the favorites because they are only -6.5 prior to the game, and actually Spurs covered that spread as Dallas only won by 5 points. If you took a bet during live at that score, at least you will get +150 for the Dallas Mavericks, my guess.

GSW vs Memphis now going into OT. What a comeback by Memphis, but it's not over yet, the initial handicap for GSW is -4.5. They can still cover it in OT.
They loss, Memphis did cover and win the game.
2323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: October 29, 2021, 09:21:13 AM
^^ I don't think that Pacman was avoiding Crawford back then. Business wise is not a good fight to made because that time Crawford is still making his name, and if I'm not mistaken, he is still campaigning at 140 lbs when Pacman is still with Top Rank.

I'm not really sure if every top dog in the Welterweight is avoiding him, maybe because of the boxing politics. Arum is known to have fights in-house so the money will remain intact with his company. Or at least he wants to have control of the fight and the purse unless it is a mandatory fight.

Pacman never avoid any fighter, actually, the first rumor was a Pacman vs Crawford fight but it didn't happen that's why there's a Pacman vs Spence Jr. which did not happen also but Spence had a substitute that beat Pacman in the fight, causing him to retire from boxing.

If Pacman fought Spence Jr. it could have a different story as he prepared for that fight very well.
2324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL, HODL, HODL when can one actually sell Bitcoin? on: October 28, 2021, 11:00:38 PM
So I keep hearing HODL, HODL, keep holding and all that. My simple question to everyone is "when is actually the right time to sell Bitcoin or we don't ever sell it"?

How then do we say we have made money from it if we don't sell?
actually it's not necessarily mate to follow what others doing wherein you have your own decision and you must follow it. Just remember if your not going for long term then perhaps selling is the best choice on this situation because bitcoin at this point is searching for new support, for that reason don't wait until your profits disappear from the volatility because for sure some short term investors is jumping out right now as well, so make a decision infact its all up to you !! ..
Nevertheless, it is not wrong to follow what the others are saying that is because they might be right but if not mean good, I guess we should have to decline it. Just HOLD when we can afford to hold. There is no wrong with selling especially when it is necessary and in fact, many did this thing.
Only the thing we have to do is to think it several times, holding is a huge sacrifice on our part but the rewards are great.
2325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks either adapt or face death on: October 28, 2021, 10:23:04 PM

Luckily, things are changing rapidly and mainstream adoption may come sooner than we think. Do you guys think, this will happen within this decade or not?
I'd never think it and I'd never think that banks will die but rather deal with the huge changes. Adopting the system is somewhat the best option they do or else, they got in trouble and face a huge decrease of clients. I believe that they think like this situation and have a plan on how to combat it.
As crypto adoption keeps on growing, it is sooner they will realize and decide to embrace this new technology. For now, many/majority are still using fiat money and so they could still survive and still on business but when major businesses and establishments accept crypto, that will be the beginning.
2326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Week 7 Predictions (73.2% accuracy) on: October 28, 2021, 05:50:02 AM
I'm curious about the 73.2% accuracy thing as It's hard to achieve as a sports bettor, so I'm here checking your thread.

I think I would agree with @buwaytress here as the odds are very important, it does matter on your money as betting on the favorites will likely give you more win as most of the bettors would choose to bet on the favorites until they see the odds are lower which means the low return of their money risk.

it would be more enticing if the odds would be at least 1.90 as according to what I read, you just need to maintain at least 52.4% in order to have a successful betting journey for the long term.

Westbrook made history for the Lakers as no one from this team has made Quadruple-Double yet, lol. just kidding.

Westbrook has a great game but he was too careless in handling the ball.

He got 14 rebounds, 13 assists, 20 points, and 10 BIG TURNOVERS.  Smiley

Anyway, here are the players who really made a real  Quadruple-Double in the NBA history.

1. Nate Thurmond – October 18, 1974
2. Alvin Robertson – February 18, 1986
3. Hakeem Olajuwon – March 3, 1990
4. Hakeem Olajuwon – March 29, 1990
5. David Robinson, February 17, 1994

2328  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand the market in advance on: October 27, 2021, 10:46:00 PM
As a new trader in crypto world, you need to understand a few things that will help you speculate the next day's movement of the market. You can learn or gain even little knowledge when you start researching and study the charts. Also bear in minds that you can't predict your moves. It's never a 100%accuracy that's why you need to be updated wth news, monitor the movement of crypto (daily, monthly and yearly). Always keep yourself updated everytime and always trust yourself.
This implies that no one has become perfect when it comes to trading, even those expert traders have also experienced such trouble because of the volatile nature of the market. Even applying TA and FA seems don't work effectively and we can never escape from that.
To get a profit assurance is unlikely but it is not impossible as long as work it hard and has to focus on what we are doing. It is simple, the results of our trade are the outcomes of what we do.
2329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is burning coins good on: October 27, 2021, 09:45:02 PM
I dont get the whole idea behind burning tokens. Some projects issue billions or trillions of tokens and announce they have burned several millions after some time. Not a big achievement imo. Or the token is very, very cheap and they burb a great part of supply. That does not change a lot. What was cheap, stays cheap. Some projects put too much attention on burbing. Like it is a miracle. But in general burb barely affecte the price.
We have that same thought before, I really don't think that was helpful to the project but now, it seems a way to boost their price and that it looks beneficial to everyone. This process has been known now, many projects have a huge market cap trying to uplift their price and they do the burning of thousands of tokens, in fact, the known Binance Coin had been doing this twice(if I'm not mistaken).
It is very common practice this time but if the project itself doesn't have any use-cased, that I think still useless.
2330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going for the Underdog or Not? on: October 27, 2021, 05:56:28 AM
If you only have $10 left in your sports betting account, would you go for the champ which you can only earn $3, or go for the underdog which if he got lucky can triple your money?
I will go to low odds even though the  profit isn't high but I think that best choice compared full rely on the luck because chooce fighter B and end up losing all the money, but I do research before place the bets see their stats and also read the news about the opinions of observers but this is only as an additional reference before finally deciding which fighter to choose.
I made an experiment before betting on low odds and in fact, I won most of the time but I realize in the end that the strategy was not profitable. So, I will not recommend betting on the favorites with low odds all the time as it's not designed to give free money, sometimes it's designed to lure gamblers to just put their money on it without knowing the long-term effect is not profitable.
2331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 27, 2021, 05:23:07 AM

If AD and LeBron both miss the next game, the Lakers will most likely to have -2.5 again against the Thunder.

I would still take that -2.5 as the Lakers even without Lebron and Davis is still better than the OKC IMO.

Now that Westbrook already had the best game so far as a Lakers, I trust him to carry the team to another win against OKC.
Westbrook scored, 33 points, that's a huge improvement compared to his previous games, hopefully, this will continue but I also like to see Lebron and Davis be back soon.
2332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Going public saying you own Bitcoin is not safe anymore on: October 26, 2021, 11:15:26 PM
we don't need people's acknowledgment that we are involved in the crypto world, so it's better to be silent and not reveal about ourselves who are members of the crypto world to ordinary people. I think it's safer because we don't know other people's intentions, so to reduce the bad risk it's better to just keep quiet. don't forget to also keep our data about crypto safe so that other people don't know about our personal data such as passwords or other things related to our assets.
Perhaps, getting known to the public that you hold Bitcoin is not making you proud but it encourages scammers and hackers to track your keys/password. I guess keeping anonymous in the public is very important especially this crisis time to avoid such unwanted things. Being bulgar to the people around would something it gives some awareness about crypto and help them also understand but somehow, it also compromise your safety knowing that we don't know the mind of the people around and we have to anticipate those things before it happens.
2333  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you making money with BOTS or Copy Trading? on: October 26, 2021, 10:44:25 PM
Maybe I couldn't tell you that because I'd never try to use trading bots due to some negative feedback. Some say's they can make some but the majority are still losing. Well, I guess, it was just the same of you are manually doing this than relying on bots and besides, you are still doing the command. Because the only benefit we've got from using trading bots is it can perform trading 24hours unlike us but the results are still the same. Maybe, if you have a hectic time and you still wanted to trade, then this is suitable for you but never think you'll become more profitable.
2334  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Now the price is bullish on: October 25, 2021, 11:40:01 PM
now the price literally going crazy, with no top , guess u should have exit plan, remember dead May before, but the good news, its still far from over, btc wont get high correction like 2018 before touch 140k ++ . of course this is just my thought.
It got actually a top and it was near $67k and I've thought that it will break to that price but it didn't. But the good thing is it didn't went close to $59k but only $60k. This is actually a good sign that the dip was truly healthy and it's recovering a little by little. Thinking of an exit plan is too early if you're thinking that at this time. If you're satisfied then with $60k+ then you should have your exit but don't regret if you ever see and realize that bitcoin has the potential to go more than $100k.
This means that panic selling doesn't visible this time and have to say that the people are learning already. FUDs had been almost ignored this time and it was not affecting anymore. It is really good to see like that and this could help for the fast recovery and bring back the price to spike again.
I was seeing that we end this year with strong market support. And I was predicting that we gonna reach $80,000 next month.
2335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: October 25, 2021, 07:29:48 AM
Cant believe what I have just read. I am familiar with Mike Tyson, but Logan Paul is? He looks sporty, but Mike Tyson in his late age is in good shape also. But, Tyson is a pro boxer, that havent lost his skill. The fight against Roy Jones Jr is a proof of that. And Logan Paul is just a guy who has several boxing fights. I understand that it is all about money, but there should be limits. Athletes with same level of skill or experience should  compete against each other. Other one wont learn anything from the fight, other will lose skills due to competing with weak.
You're not familiar yet with the Paul brothers? They've been challenging professionals not just in the boxing industry but as well as other sports. This is likely their livelihood today because they make millions of bucks doing these exhibition matches. And on the side of Tyson, he's old and aged but his prowess is still there and if you'll look for videos about him at his current age, he's still got what it takes. As long as it's just an exhibition match, I think that's fine for him.
Even if it's just an exhibition fight there's always a chance that a boxer will be seriously hurt, we've seen a lot of exhibition fights already this year that a boxer was knocked out cold, so if one is not fully conditioned, he might face a serious problem on his health after the fight.
2336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: October 25, 2021, 07:00:28 AM
Anyway, posting my early pick is Charlotte +8.5. T

Halftime score 50-58 Nets.

Charlotte needs to play better in the 2nd half for my bet to cover.
Durant is still very impressive here with 9-12 shooting and already had 18 points in the 1st half alone.

10% my bet would hit.  Smiley

10% chance has become 100% chance, congrats again on that win, you are again hot, I guess this is the 3rd win streak if I'm not mistaken. That was easy, not only covered the spread but they also beat the Nets.
2337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a right time to buy some ethereum?. on: October 24, 2021, 11:08:05 PM
Ethereum should be presented in your portfolio anyways. This is one of the most fundamental coins and I would suggest to give it at least 20% of your crypto portfolio. You can't buy the dippest dip, there is no need to guess. Just hold it and buy more on dumps - you won't be disappointed.
I agree, ethereum is one of the big players, and while I am not as convinced about ethereum as I am about bitcoin without a doubt it is a project that will not disappear overnight and as such it is worth a small investment, 20% seems about right, anything more than that and I would think the people investing so much money in it are exposing themselves too strongly to this coin, however at the end of the day each person needs to take the necessary decisions regarding their capital.
Ethereum is still on the lead among altcoins, though it has a tough competition against BNB, and with the huge fees problem, I'm not believing that this coin will lose its potential in the future. Many projects are still using the ETH platform and that helps to make this coin exist but I think the developers must have to find a solution to their fees as it really becomes disappointing otherwise it could lose its position.
2338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jamel Herring vs Shakur Stevenson on: October 24, 2021, 11:42:59 AM
Shakur was too much for Herring, I was not expecting that Herring did not have an answer on Shakur's attack, he maybe have a strong chin that he would not go down but the ref saw that he was not anymore responding to the punches of Stevenson, so instead of increasing the damage, the ref decided to stop the fight and declare Stevenson the champion, he is now a two-division world champion, congrats to him.
2339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: October 24, 2021, 10:54:56 AM
Bring this on, though it looks like a waste of time to others actually it's a fun fight to watch.

Mike Tyson against a boxer who Mayweather had dominated in the fight, I guess Mike has a chance of winning here and I like to the result of the poll as everyone is in favor of Mike Tyson.
2340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We enter a new era of heavy regulations on: October 22, 2021, 08:02:38 PM
It surely has to come even we don't like it. The SEC and the government had never to stop finding a way to give the solution about fraud and money laundering that these people are now using crypto for faster and anonymous transactions. Maybe, this has become the consequence but I'm not going to against this intention as we(users/investors) are also benefiting from this and the purpose of being legalized as a money tender. Whatever the regulations that will impose, I think we have to abide by them and help to promote the use of crypto as it has already gained support from the government.
