Is a KYC necessary for the regular registration of a Coinbase wallet? I mean for a wallet that is only used for receiving and sending Bitcoin and not for buying or selling Bitcoin? I could not find a clear distinction on the Coinbase page or in the FAQ.

I recently watched a documentary about Ross Ulbricht and Silk Road. One scene explains that this Bitcointalk post has finally put the FBI on Ross' trail. This raised the question for me whether Bitcointalk stores personal data (e.g. IP, User-Agent Fingerprint, Email etc) of its users and if it would pass this data on to investigating authorities in case of inquiries? Does Bitcointalk store sensitive user data and if so how long?

Having problems to get the Qortal wallet to run. After I downloaded the current provided version in the opening thread I run the .sh file. According to the log file the wallet should run on port 12392 while the API run on port 12391. But when I call 127.0.0.1:12392 the page is not found while calling 127.0.0.1:12391 gives me a page which says I must enable API documentation in settings file. Any help?
Do you have Discord? If so get in contact with me and I'll help you get through it. Thanks, I do not have Discord yet. But I plan to set up an account on weekend. Since I would say that I have a good technological background, I will certainly not be the only one who will have problems with the setup. Maybe it would be good to create a tutorial. Finally I got it run myself. I only did run the core software without the Qortal Ui firstly. However, the synchronization is pretty slow and my Qortal balance is still 0, even though I burned a large amount of Qora months ago and I used my corresponding Qora seed to login in to my Qortal wallet. Do I need to do something else in order to show up my minted share balance?

Anyone else loading up on NEM before Symbol distribution? Any speculations on the value when it hits the market? Thanks! Based on similar forks or spin-offs from other projects in the past (e.g. NXT / Ardor), it is likely that Symbol will initially gain strongly in value while XEM will lose strongly.

No. This move by Brave to threaten legal action against Braver/Bold is completely ridiculous, and goes against the very nature of free and open source software. Did Firefox threaten Waterfox? Did Chrome threaten Ungoogled Chromium? Did uBlock threaten uBlock Origin? Did KeePass threaten KeePassX or KeePassXC? Did Bitcoin threaten Bitcoin Cash?
Basically you are right. Brave Browser is released completely under Mozilla Public License and GNU Lesser General Public License. So starting from this point it is nonsense to threaten forks with legal actions. My guess is rather that they want to prevent the browser name from being associated with the company name (Brave Software Inc). I am sure Mozilla company would have considered legal actions, too, if there would be a Firefox fork which is named Nozilla Firefix Browser

Can you suggest more songs related to gambling but for new generations millennial and up. Any suggestions please.
Well, what about Kate Perry's - "Waking Up In Vegas" Darius Rucker - "Wagon Wheel" is also a good song with lyrics like " lost my money playing poker so I had to leave town". Last but not least, one I really like but actually not really a song for millenials, "Two of a Kind, Workin' on a Full House" from Garth Brooks.

1. Manchester City 30% 2. Bayern 22% 3. PSG 14% 4. Barcelona 8% 5. RB Leipzig 8% 6. Atletico Madrid 7% 7. Atalanta 5% 8. Real Madrid 2% 9. Juventus 2% 10. Lyon, Napoli, Chelsea less than 1%
The figures are odd. I would never bet on Atalanta or Leipzig winning the Champions League before Real Madrid or Juventus. Also the probability for Manchester City is much too high. The team is worse than the last years when they always failed in the Champions League. Same to Bayern, even though I think Bayern has the best chances this year. It is the only team in the list that has convinced me the most so far.

-snip- Can we just discuss the market size not the gambling addiction or anything related to that?
If a crypto currency betting provider like Sportsbet.io is the official jersey sponsor of an English Premier League club (FC Watford), this market must be very large already. It certainly costs millions to sign such a sponsorship deal and for this to be worthwhile a lot of money must be earned.

Hello friends! My team and I recently organized a full-fledged cryptocurrency exchange platform. Unique design, user-friendly website, Estonian Cryptocurrency license and so on. Now we are asking ourselves the main question, how to find customers and establish ourselves in the market?
To be honest, you have a team and now you are asking how to market the platform This doesn't sound very trustworthy and doesn't sound like professionals are going to run the exchange. Running an exchange is a highly complex matter. Whoever then asks for marketing tips will surely fail.

I don't feel really safe with installing add ons like this, and somebody else might feel the same thing. If I need to do it I'd probably use it on a separate browser/in VM just for safety. Especially if I have Metamask or anything similar installed on my browser. Basically, you're right. Unfortunately, there are always add-ons accepted in the stores that contain malware. Each installed add-on is potentially a security risk. In this case, it is a simply tool which source code is open. You can check it yourself.

You can also use free Firefox addon which notifies you for new transactions. The advantage is that you don't have to register anywhere and you don't have to provide personal data like email or mobile phone number to commercial providers. You can install the addon in your desktop and mobile browser and receive notifications when it is open. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/check4change/That is a nice gimmick. But the disadvantage is that you must provide a third party (blockchain.com) with your walletadress. I know, that is not much. But if you want to stay anonymous that is still a tiny piece from the puzzle. No, you don't need to provide any account credentials. You only need to provide a block explorer page (there are a lot of good alternatives to blockchain.com) which is going to be monitored for changes. If a change happen you are going to monitor, for example a new transaction, you get notified either in the browser (sound, flashing tab or popup) or via email. I have used it for a while new and it works pretty well.

Thanks @tyz and @TryNinja for the heads up. The OP has been updated. Name change was bound to happen but I didn't expect a legal threat this quick Boldbrowser? Finding a good browser name these days is difficult because you easily get legal issues if it sounds similar to existing ones. And if you take a short time to research you'll find out that there is a ton of browsers out there, even though the most are not well known. Bold Browser is not the best name but it derives in some way from Brave(r), so it is a good alternative name.

Is Bitcoin really a thing for a few billions?
If you would add one word to your question, I would answer your question Yes Bitcoin is not just for a few but for everyone, but there are reasons why it is currently only used by a few. Bitcoin and all the technology behind it requires a certain basic knowledge that one first have to acquire to understand its function and benefits. Without this, Bitcoin is just a term with no real understanding. To really be a payment option for everyone, this technological hurdle has to be overcome sooner or later so that it is as easy to use as electronic fiat.

Braver Browser has now been renamed to Bold Browser due to possible legal issues. Brave is not doing itself a favor if it continues to do such actions. After being positive about Brave for a long time and using the browser as my first browser for more than a year, I now mainly use Firefox again and wait until Bold Browser (or other forks) has reached a stable status.

Fillippone, I must admit, I'm a fan of your posts. Even this one has a special quality again. Everyone should take you as a role model who is complaining about the allegedly unfair merit system. You are the best proof that it is possible to reach higher ranks in a releatively short time. Keep up the good work. And of course, I left a few merits for you

7. The first Faucets actually gave 5 BTC ! *5* to each visitor ( why did I not know of this before 😭)
The 5 Bitcoins were only worth a few cents at that time and the faucet was created because the interest was very limited at that time. One must also take into account the situation was much different compared to today. If you had got the 5 Bitcoins back then, you very likely would not have kept them until 2020 (unless you forgot them). Most people have already dumped many Bitcoins from the early days at the first highs of $50-60. I remember this time because I was a part of it

Unfortunately, there are several reasons: Payments are still very slow and sometimes expensive. Recently it has happened again that Bitcoin transactions cost over $1 fees. This may be acceptable for transaction amounts of $1000 and more but not for small payments. In addition, more reasons are the much higher volatility and a certain basic technical knowledge of what you need to handle crypto currencies. Only when solutions to all these problems have been found crypto currencies will play a greater role in payments. Or, if people will be (indirectly) forced to use them, e.g. in the case of a devastating financial crash.
