1381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔷 Waves Tech - a powerful blockchain-agnostic ecosystem on: June 04, 2021, 09:59:16 AM
A question regarding the deposit addresses. With the Waves Wallet, you have exactly one Waves address per private key, as well as exactly one Bitcoin address, and so on. These are derived directly from the private key. Can someone from the outside can easily figure out if both addresses belong to the same account (e.g. through block explorer)?

TDLR: I just want to know if someone knows my Waves and Bitcoin address from the Waves wallet, if they can quickly find out if these two addresses belong to the same account.
1382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: June 04, 2021, 09:52:37 AM
From several reports I have read in the past, a court in Madrid has ruled that UEFA shouldn't take any actions against the Super League, the players taking part in it, or the club officials interested in managing it. UEFA knows how many fans Real and Barca has all over the world and they know that Juventus is the most popular team in Italy. Restricting them from participating isn't in their best interest. But I have no doubt they'll get a huge fine.
And the fine will not be paid since Juve Real and Barca did nothing against the rule.
This is the point, they did nothing against the law.
The UEFA position is against the law, they are fallen into a trap.

Of course why would Juventus, Real Madrid and Barcelona have to pay a fine if they weren't wrong.

As I understand the whole situation, the clubs that want to create the SuperLeague have violated UEFA's statutes, as long as they are members of the UEFA, they are not allowed to participate in any international competitions that are not approved by UEFA. This is stipulated by contract and since all these clubs belong to UEFA, they have also signed the contracts. Therefore, I can at least understand UEFA's point of view.
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gaming Scams during Pandemic. How to Stay Safe. on: June 02, 2021, 05:29:43 PM
About payment cards, I prefer to use a prepaid one for all the things internet. I only top-up when I need it for the sum of money I intend to use. Never had any troubles that way: I do not wish to expose my cards linked directly to my bank account and I find using prepaid more secure.

The only problem is that prepaid card payments are not available as a payment feature for all users. Most of the time, this option is only available for countries where credit cards are not widely used or bank accounts are rare. In many developed countries, prepaid cards are viewed skeptically as they can be good for money laundering.

Its happened !! Dogecoin has been listed on Coinbase pro  Smiley

Okay, this explains the price increase today  Cheesy
When I saw Doge price on Coinmarketcap this morning, I thought I'd have to check Twitter right away to see what Elon Musk wrote about Doge again. But I found nothing and thought it was then just a normal pump.
1385  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID advanced the world into the future on: June 02, 2021, 04:59:10 PM
It has always been the case in history that crises strengthen the power of innovation and the speed of further development. For example, it would never have been possible to fly to the moon as early as 1969 without the military developments during World War II. That would have taken a decade or two longer without the war. In the same way, there were high innovation thrusts in Europe after the plague pandemics. There is excellent literature and documentation on this. And this time it's the same again.
1386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Swap WBTC to BTC make BTC anonymous? on: June 02, 2021, 04:53:47 PM
Both chains are completely open and so are the smart contract transactions. Of course, you can try to make your Bitcoin a bit more anonymous this way, but they won't be completely anonymous because they can be traced with a certain amount of resources. Even mixers are not completely safe for anonymity these days. There are companies, such as Chainanalysis, that specialize in this and have security agencies as customers for a reason, tracking cybercrime with blockchain transactions.
1387  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2021 starting to look like 2013 more than 2017 on: June 02, 2021, 04:48:10 PM
Many posts lately claim that this cycle is looking more like 2013 than 2017 bullrun if we take into account what patterns is price following with some serious price dips esp. 60% in april 2013 compared to this one 50%. then we remember price started to climb from $140. this time we were at 30K. I believe we will see parabolic price move till the end of year instead of crypto winter following after 60K ATH was reached. Price didn't fall below 30K but is stable around 35-36K. History shows big move ahead is probable.

You are looking for patterns that can't exist like that. I have experienced all three phases intensively and I can say that the situation in 2013 was not comparable to the situation in 2017 and certainly not comparable to 2021. The basic conditions in all three phases were completely different.
1388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 30, 2021, 03:10:46 PM
Congratulations Chelsea!

Both teams had a great game. Manchester City conceded a goal when caught off guard. Although they tried very hard to make up for this goal, they were not enough. N'golo Kante and Mount played great in the Chelsea team.  Manchester City lost in their first final match. Paris SG and Tottenham have experienced this before.

That was bound to happen when you don't have holding midfielder. I also thought it was a smart lineup but defense was so sloppy in the first half. They were surprised by the Werner's pace and focused on him and forgot to check Havertz properly. Still it was wierd to have no striker otherwise they would have answered properly. Chelsea undoubtedly deserved it. Guardiola pays it off for overthinking like he usually does.

Guardiola is a successful manager. No one can deny this. However, they are unsuccessful in their match against Chelsea. Tuchel prepared Chelsea so well that they beat Manchester City in the final. If Timo Werner had evaluated the positions, it might have even been different. Kai Havertz's first goal in the champions league led them to the championship. My two favorites -Europa League and UCL- both lost. I was thinking that 2 trophies could come to Manchester, but no trophy came to Manchester.

He ist successful on national league. No doubt. But he has repeatedly failed to win anything internationally for 10 years with top teams. He gets all the players he wants at ManCity, has spent more than a billion on players over the last few years and has always failed in the semifinals. Now he has made it to the final for the first time in 10 years and fails miserably again.

Even during his time at Bayern, he won everything nationally. But with a very well-rehearsed team, he messed up every time in the semifinals. The same thing happened at ManCity. Remember, before Pep took over Bayern in 2013, the club was two times in a row into the CL finals (2012,2013) where they won in 2013. With almost the same team he failed again and again.

He probably only works internationally in Barcelona. That's why he should go back to Barcelona and rebuild the club there. Then maybe he can win the CL again.

National success is also important.

No, it's not! Not for investors. If you believe that, you haven't understood professional football these days. It's not about national cups for such investors. That is an additional gimic but not the goal. The goal is to win the very big cup in club football. That's why Tuchel was fired from PSG. Nationally, he has always won everything.

1389  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto lead to the next financial crisis? on: May 30, 2021, 11:10:39 AM
Looking at the past financial crises that happened, they all seem to have a few things in common, such as the mass adoption of a new financial product or technology (e.g. mortgage backed securities in 2008, dotcom boom in 2000). Given the extent to which institutions (and some influential figures) have been manipulating crypto recently, do you guys think this narrative is likely?

No, there will be a financial crash sooner or later. However, this crash will not be triggered by Bitcoin, but by irresponsible financial policies of many governments and central banks worldwide. Bitcoin and Co. will then be a safe haven for ordinary people, just as Satoshi once intended.

Danke bin heute gewechselt.

Mhhh...also ich konnte nichts finden.

I still think that City will win, go Guardiola, Mehrez, De Bruyne et al. and do something!

Nothing speaks for a win for ManCity at the moment. Chelsea is clearly playing better and Tuchel's tactics are visibly working. ManCity can hardly get anything together in attack. ManCity still has 25 minutes to come up with something. But once again it shows that Guardiola has only worked in Barca so far when it comes to international cups.
1393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 29, 2021, 07:18:09 PM
<...>

I would really love to see Tuchel lifting the trophy but Guardiola is more experienced and he inculcates the spirit of the winner to his team.
No first timer has ever won the champions league so don't get too excited, this is Manchester City first champions final appearance and they are differently going to lose it. This is not how experienced the coach is but how well his team perform. Tuchel is highly tactical gifted..

This is final anything can happen though.... But Werner is my hero tonight.

Werner already missed a big chance. In the 10th minute there was a great cross from Harvertz and Werner missed from six meters. It must be said that the ball was not ideal, but that could have been the early 1 - 0 for Chelsea. Great luck for ManCity.

Who pays the staking fees? I mean where that 6% interest coming from?

Waves is inflationary. The fixed limit was removed some time ago. In addition, stakers receive a large part of the transaction fees.

I've got a question: Is it possible to receive Bitcoins with a Segwit address in Waves Wallet? Unfortunately I only find the standard address format P2PKV?

1396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 29, 2021, 03:57:23 PM
I actually expected Köln to win their match today against Holstein in the Relegation play-off, but it seems Holstein really want to play in the Bundesliga next season.

That would be strange if you work hard for a whole season and don't want to get promoted at the end Wink That's why I'm not surprised that Kiel wants it so badly. Cologne was the better team overall in the first leg. Kiel only had two good chances and one of them was a goal.

One factor should not be forgotten. Kiel had several corona cases and therefore had to postpone some match days. Therefore, they had four more games to play than Cologne in the last 30 days. That could be an advantage for Cologne.
1397  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk really has the ability to manipulate the bitcoin market on: May 28, 2021, 04:14:22 PM
Haha, just like I said in the previous post, Elon Musk really has the ability to manipulate the bitcoin market, just follow him at least for the moment. But this wouldn't last long; they started to hate him.
At least if you go short, you also have some money. In this market, the more you panic, the more you lose money.
https://medium.com/snapbots-news/snapbots-news-review-elon-musk-suggests-teslas-sale-of-bitcoin-market-drop-again-cb7078dc8f00

Elon Musk is a master at selling stories. The same thing happened with Tesla. Tesla's stock has been extremely expensive for many years and yet he always manages to keep investors happy and believing the big story. He may be right, the future will show, but he takes away the investors' fear of risk.
And the same thing is now repeating itself in the crypto market. Some call it manipulation, others an overdue development.
1398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: May 28, 2021, 04:10:41 PM
This is the first Champions League final for Manchester City.

Admittedly, the fact was new to me. Can't believe that this is really only the first Champions League final for ManCity. If you think about how much money they have invested in the last 10-15 years, with the main goal of winning the CL, then that is really a poor performance.
1399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners and btc and government on: May 28, 2021, 04:07:14 PM
Government Cant  ban btc but they can ban btc mining.
And I Don't have Control over government decisisions.

No, they can't. They can ban large mining farm of course since they are easy to find/track due to large amount of energy usage but they can not ban small miners. Remember, back in the early days of Bitcoin and PoW coins in general, you mined coins on your home computer with some mining sticks. Basically, it is good for average joe if big mining farms are banned. Whether it is beneficial for Bitcoin and its stability is another matter.
1400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 27, 2021, 05:17:17 PM
The same thing that happened yesterday with Cologne against Kiel is happening right now with the relegation match for the second division in the Ingolstadt vs. Osnabrück match. The team from the lower league dominates the team from the upper league. Ingolstadt leads 2 - 0 at half time and is clearly the better team. So this year, it could well be that Kiel is promoted to the first division as a second-division team and Ingolstadt is promoted to the second division as a third-division team.
