2021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 01, 2020, 06:40:24 PM
I am going with Man United today. Their results in the premier league weren't that good but in the Champions league they've shown their potential with wins against Leipzig and Paris. Especially their 5-0 win against Leipzig for their fist home win this season should them give enough self-confidence. Also they haven't lost any of their last 6 home games against Arsenal.

Can follow your argumentation. The high victory against Leizpig also surprised me. But I think that ManU is still not that stable to play such good matches permanently. After looking at the odds, I go for Double Chance Arsenal @2.04, which has a better profit/risk ratio than betting on a win on ManU.
Actually I also doubt Man United's sterility in the EPL tonight with Arsenal, the UCL victory was fantastic but still when playing in the EPL it won't be like this anymore Arsenal are not an easy opponent to beat but he can turn around when there is a deadly attack.

But I'm here at odds @2.5 with a win for Manchester United and let's see what happens maybe that big win will happen tonight?

Man, I finally missed the chance to set the bet today, but my guess that it would be better to go for double chance Arsenal was right. They won 0-1 against ManU. I have no idea how long it has been since Arsenal last won at Old Trafford, but somehow it was hinted at. ManU is still too unstable.
2022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: November 01, 2020, 12:52:22 PM
I'd rather UEFA get rid of it and expand the CL...  There are good spots to get some bets in tho.

I do not agree. I think Europe needs a two-tier competition. If you expand the Champions League and then suddenly have a lot of bad teams competing, it would be a big loss of quality and marketing. Then the same thing would happen as at the UEFA European Championship, where the quality of the games has decreased rapidly since the increase of the starting places. People watch the CL because they want to see matches like Bayern vs PSG, not Apollon Limassol vs. Lech Posen,

2 Days after,

CR7 is healed from COVID

Source: https://twitter.com/juventusfc/status/1322224699531812864

Thats some good news for Juventus,we seen how Juventus missed him in the last few matches, with Juventuses weakest team in last 10 years they need Ronaldo badly to play every match.

He may be healed, but the question is whether problems will remain permanently like so many infected people who still complain weeks and months later about shortness of breath, reduced performance or loss of taste. It will be really interesting to see if Ronaldo can continue to maintain this high level of performance as before his illness.

2025  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: November 01, 2020, 12:37:45 PM
I am glad I'm tied with crypto because it allows me not to pay attention to my "real" work that much.
Happily, I haven't been fired (yet), but it doesn't bother me as much as it could.

I'm sorry for you! In which industry and in which country did you lose your job, if that's what you want to say? I'm just curious because it varies a lot from country to country. In some countries many lose their jobs and in others very few.
In my country, many people have lost their jobs due to covid-19 pandemic. It was caused by decreased product sales. I was a clothing business owner who has to lay off my employees because I can no longer afford to pay their salaries because my income has decreased considerably since the coronavirus. I hope this pandemic will end soon.

Thanks, a few more details as you provided makes the situation more understandable. I hope for you and all the others which are affected strongly by this pandemia that it will end soon. But I am not very optimistic that it will change much before 2022. There are still so many uncertainties regarding vaccinations which are the only hope. Hoping that the virus is appearing from one day to another is an illusion.

I just set my bet slip for Europe League matches tonight.

Feyenood Rotterdam vs Wolfsberger # win Feyenood @ 1.71
AEK Athena vs Leichester # win Leichester @ 1.71
Granada vs PAOK # double chance PAOK @ 2.05

What do you think?

No opinion, but two of three worked out with a small profit. Surprisingly, Feyenood lost 1-4 against Wolfsberg, what is the most surprise at the entire match day. Leichester won 1-2 against Athens as expected and PAOK made a draw against Granada, so both were won.
2028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was 2017 the "Golden Year of Crypto"? on: October 29, 2020, 06:30:04 PM
Yea i think 2017 is the golden year of crypto. When BTC and others crypto pump. But there are when ICO project hype.
And now i hope is the Platinum year of Crypto because the hype of DEFI project. BTC can touch $13k and i hope BTC can reach $100k in the end 2020.

I think 2017 was just a foretaste of what is to come. Bitcoin and crypto are still in the beginning of their development. I think most people are not aware of that at all. Slowly the big investors like Paypal, institutional investors and many more are coming. We may not see a fast rise like 2017, but a slow rise over a longer period of time is better.
2029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AIRDROPS ARE NO LONGER VIABLE on: October 29, 2020, 06:11:58 PM
They were never viable in my opinion, if a few campaigns have paid good via airdrops that does not mean all airdrops would be like that the hard fact is that almost 99% airdrops are either scam or have no value.

That's wrong. There were phases where you could have made a couple of thousands of Dollars a week just through bounties. This sounds unbelievable but it was the case in 2017. Simple airdrops brought you $100,$300,$500 each, sometimes a lot more. Those times are over but you can not claim there were not such times.

Erhält man dann keine SYM?

2033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: October 28, 2020, 06:07:31 PM
I made a betslip including 4 matches from Europa League. I liked Sivasspor's game in El Madrigal last week. I think they will win their home match. I think Lille have more qualified players than Celtic. I also think there is no need to make any comment on Milan and Roma. They are very good.

It seems that the chances of winning are quite large, judging by the bet and the team you hold, for example AC Milan against AC Sparta Prague, my prediction is that AC Milan can win by a big score, especially when they are reinforced by Ibrahimovich in midfield, although losing Gianluigi Donnarumma does not really matter to him, AC Milan to continue their winning trend this year. Last week's draw against AS Roma in Serie A will be a motivation for AC Milan to continue to look good and get full points to qualify for the next round. Still curious about how many weeks AC Milan is able to maintain their record without defeat, whether they can fulfill this year without winning even if a defeat or Milan will return to their starting position last season in the middle of the table.  Grin Grin Grin

Interesting betting slip. I am not sure about Sivasspor and Lille. Those bets are too risky for a multi bet slip in my opinion. I would rather go for double chance for Celtic Glasgow and Maccabi Tel Aviv. But whish you luck!
2034  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: [Diskussion] [OCEAN] Ocean Protocol - Blockchain der Datenökonomie on: October 28, 2020, 03:48:39 PM

2035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling License on: October 27, 2020, 10:21:28 PM
Preferring a casino with a license only makes sense if you are investing your own taxed money. But most of the gamblers use Bitcoin that they got from somewhere (e.g. airdops, crypto trading etc) and didn't pay tax for it. Therefore, the license for such gamblers is completely irrelevant, only the reputation and seriousness of the casino should be considered.
2036  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has crypto failed to break through still? on: October 27, 2020, 10:17:48 PM
Some poor countries with weak and hyperinflatinf fiat currencies will one day decide that it's better to use a valuable decentralized currency than a worthless centralized fiat that people don't use and prefer to trade using loaded sim cards.

No, I do not think so. Any government that introduces something like Bitcoin deprives itself of any control over the money. Control over money means power. It has to come from the people themselves.
2037  Other / Archival / Re: European institutional investors are interested in cryptocurrencies on: October 27, 2020, 10:15:29 PM
They are driven in crypto. What options they have to? Everything is extremely expensive. Stocks, real estate, bonds, commodities like gold. Cash costs minus interest. And with its monetary policy, the ECB ensures that banks and institutional investors have more and more money at their disposal. So they open up to alternatives and crypto is one of those alternatives.
2038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AIRDROPS ARE NO LONGER VIABLE on: October 27, 2020, 10:11:50 PM
Airdrops have been useless for years. The big time of the Airdrops was 2016 to 2018. Today's Airdrops are only there to get some attention. Accordingly, the values are low. There are only a very few good airdrops like Uniswap where everyone recently got almost $2000 for free. The Airdrop was not announced but distributed to those who had recently traded on the decentralized stock exchange.
2039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US 2020 Elections data, polls and bets on: October 27, 2020, 10:08:07 PM
Honestly, I think that Trump is elected as president will not be a surprise. Most people writing o this topic reminded us of Trump's surprise victory over Clinton in the 2016 election. I also believe that a similar scenario is waiting for us. After all, Biden is a much weaker candidate than Clinton in my opinion. Smiley

I agree with you that Biden is also a weak candidate like Clinton. In the spring, I would have said that Trump will definitely win. But his handling of Corona and the subsequent economic crisis will mean that Biden will win. I'm pretty sure about it. I may be wrong, but if you use purely objective factors, then it shouldn't be enough for Trump to win.
2040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is UniSwap the most powerful in the Defi market? on: October 27, 2020, 10:05:02 PM
I can't describe Uniswap as powerful because the exchange get to where it is today because of DeFi success, it's too early to start praising the exchange now and remember that once upon a time binance was no where to be found, it was bitfinex and others at the time and binance beat them all now, I hope uniswap will become better once DeFi hype fades away

We should not pretend that Uniswap is comparable to Bitinex and other large centralized exchanges. Uniswap is still a dwarf and its high market capitalization is pure belief that it can become something big like Binance. I stick to my opinion that as long as Uniswap only supports the ETH chain it will never become really big because the fees are just too expensive for Ethereum transaction.
