1402  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy after COVID-19 on: May 27, 2021, 05:03:52 PM
In positive way people begin aware on their environment, to become careful and vigilant to people their meet  everyday. After Covid i think economy will rise again, many business are function again and many jobs are open also with safety protocol even the covid is gone.

I think most people have a false assumption. Covid will not disappear anytime soon, we will just learn to live with it. The pandemic will keep us busy for years to come, even if many things become more normal again through vaccination. But as I understand it, many people believe that the virus will disappear shortly and that it will all be over. This is wrong!

This is what I notice in the little time I have been here.

Apart from few months after halving, I have noticed that news is one important factor that will increase or decrease the price of bitcoin. And when price affect bitcoin, it gradually affects altcoins and you see red all the places. For example, when the recent deep happened, all altcoins also went down.

I realize also that at every bull or bear, the market is waiting for a news to change the direction. Like such news from Elon musk is capable to do that and now I realize the power of such influence on the market. The fud gradually caused huge dump because it created panic, though price is recovering as bitcoin is appreciating.

Also that anytime that there is adoption news by influencial personality or institution, price increase because it means more investors would leverage on that. I remember this when PayPal announced the use of 4 cryptocurrency including bitcoin, it gave an increase in price and that pushed for the current ATH.

My conclusion therefore is to take note of these factors as they have shown to be indicators of direction of where price may move to.

First, I'm surprised that you still call yourself new with an activity of 1300+. In principle, you are an old hand Wink

Second, there is absolutely nothing new. The world is news driven. You can see that quite well in the stock market. The cryptocurrency market is just the little brother of the stock market.

You can’t blame De Gea for missing the penalty, there is always going to be a villain in a shootout. I’m surprised it got to 10-10. Maybe the only thing you can criticise De Gea for is he could have saved one?

I also don't think De Gea should be blamed for that. Goalkeepers shouldn't take penalties at all, in my opinion, only if they have talent for it. I'm surprised that no outfield player took the responsibility and scored a second time.

Kann man eigentlich inzwischen mit der Atomic Dex Software auch seine KMD claimen? Möchte gerne weg von dem Verus Wallet und suche eine Alternative, am liebsten wäre mir gleich die Atomic Dex Wallet.

Everything Can Happen On The Field, But 95% Sure Manchester City Will Be The Winner.

The Blues Is Loser Everytime

If you're so sure about that, I'd bet my entire estate on a ManCity win and I'd probably be set for life Wink

Seriously, 95% chance of winning is unserious. Chelsea recently showed in the league that they can beat ManCity. I think the final will be very close, with Chelsea winning.
1407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 25, 2021, 04:09:00 PM
German media report that the transfer of Georginio Wijnaldum from Liverpool to Bayern Munich on a free transfer will not be realized. Allegedly, Bayern did not want to meet the high salary demands for a 30-year-old player. Funnily enough, FC Barcelona is now the favored club, which has immense debts. Crazy world!
1408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin Failed as Money? on: May 25, 2021, 04:05:09 PM
bitcoin has remained what it was and used to be. money in all aspects.

However, money also means being able to pay any contribution with it under reasonable conditions. This is currently not the case with Bitcoin. If I want to buy a soda for a dollar, I have to pay around $5 for fees. So a basic condition for money is currently not met. That's one of the points of my first post. However, if I want to buy a Tesla for $60k, then $5 or $10 fees are irrelevant.

Real Madrid have a deal in place to sign Paris-St Germain and 22-year-old France forward Kylian Mbappe. Is this the final confirmation or can there still be some surprises and last minute changes?

Is this really happening? It will be one of the biggest transfers in the history for sure. Kylian Mbappe has been dreaming about going to Real Madrid for a very long time. It looks like his big dream is finally coming true.  Cheesy

One of the biggest transfers in terms of what? I don't think Neymar's transfer fee (€222 million) can be topped. Not because Mbappe is worse, but for economic reasons because of Corona. A lot of big clubs struggle financially.
1411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 24, 2021, 11:58:55 AM
I never though Liverpool will make to the top 4 and probably get a ticket to the Champion League next season, but they prove themselves to be a strong team by ending the League in the 3rd position. Chelsea lost their match today against Aston Villa, which created way for Liverpool to occupy the 3rd position.

Do not forget that Liverpool led for a long time the first 10-15 days and mostly topped the table and they were already 9 points ahead of ManCity. It looked as if they would continue the performance of the previous season. And then suddenly there was an inexplicable slump that set them far back. In the last few matchdays they found their form again and qualified directly for the CL. I think Liverpool has to analyze this carefully, then they can play for the title again next year.

BITCOIN DUMP.
For the past few weeks, bitcoin has been dumping and many coins have been dipping, causing fear and some individuals to sell their coins at a loss. I chose to write this on this site as a piece of advice for novices, since I feel they will be afraid and may sell their coins at a loss, which is extremely awful. I feel that everyone should simply hold their coins since the bear market is just transitory, and I believe that we will all see it through, but we must be patient and not panic and sell at a loss. We had a bear market like this in March of last year, and we survived it, so we will absolutely survive this bear market.

Honestly, it was predictable that there would be a dump sooner or later, after such a massive increase in recent months. That's why I've been advising all newbies who have had FOMO here or in the Altcoin Discussion section lately to wait until the price has come back a bit before entering. But I think greed has won again and many still got in at high prices. They are now paying for it! The hardened investors invest now or wait still a bit and then take the big profits again in the future. I for myself have some money from my gains in the past month that is waiting to get back into the market Smiley
1413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: May 23, 2021, 03:11:42 PM
10 matches now playing together I'm a little confused which one to watch because I'm sure that in this concurrent match it will be more interesting to keep fighting.

Can't you watch it in a conference session, can you? This is how I preferably watch matches I bet on when they play at the same time.

It's last match day, so I did something I usually do not do. Did a combi bet on wins of Liverpool, ManUnited, Leichester, Chealsea and ManCity. Small stake but if they all win I will have a good gain Smiley Let's see!
1414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Massive de-leveraging event? on: May 23, 2021, 03:06:02 PM
Well the author is just getting his source from zerohedge, a know site that is more of a gold bug rather than crypto or stocks websites. So I wouldn't be surprise this kind of article coming from them. So for me there's nothing to worry about this so called de-leveraging event, on the contrary, it might have a positive effect on crypto market.

Yes, Zerohedge sometimes has quite good articles but most of them you can ignore as a crypto investor. I think that the current phase is also rather positive for crypto. There were too many people who worked with a very high leverage in the last months. Often the same people who were big on WallstreetBets. The current price dump could ensure that big players (institutional investors) get in who missed the opportunity in the last few months and now see their chance to buy cheaply, which should further stabilize the market in the long term.
1415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ohio offering lottery prize worth one million for those that get the COVID shot on: May 23, 2021, 03:02:30 PM
In an attempt to increase the number of people getting vaccinated all kind of incentives are being given in the US, one of the most interesting is that those that get at least the first dose of the vaccine at Ohio will have a chance to win one million dollars, apparently there will five be prizes so a total five million dollars will be given for those that are willing to take the vaccine, and for those that are below the age of 18 there will be full scholarships being offered as well.

What do you think of this? Do you agree with what the governor of Ohio is doing or are you against it?

Source: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-57096039

I find it quite interesting. However, it might be better to distribute several smaller prizes with a higher chance to win instead of one big prize. It is well known that especially poorer people are not so interested in vaccination. That is why $10k would be a big profit for them. So I would rather give away 100 times $10k with a higher probability to win than one time $1 million.
1416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the collapse of the media mean the collapse of cryptocurrency? on: May 23, 2021, 02:55:59 PM
The media has a huge influence on the cryptocurrency market because many people invest based on the news.
If one day there is bad news about the market, the price will definitely fall
Since people have seen the influence of media into crypto market movements, that's when they start buying or selling by basing on news. But if we start tracing back when crypto has just started, there is no big connection between crypto and media and investors only used their personal anlysis when to invest in crypto. It's just only today where big personalities have been affecting much the rise and fall of crypto price.

I agree. I see it the same way. The influence of media on crypto or bitcoin price was much higher in the past. It has also decreased with the number of professional traders that have come into the market.

I'm from Portugal, and honestly I don't feel that there are so many Chelsea fans.

According to the map, there should be many Arsenal London fan in my country. I have a good insight in the football scene here and have not met a single Arsenal fan. Only many Liverpool fans after Klopp became coach. Now also more and more who have an eye on Chelsea because of Tuchel. No idea where the data for the map come from, but I think they can't be right.
1418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scenario of the crypto market in near future. on: May 21, 2021, 12:15:54 PM
My scenario is this current dump only correction because the same situation have been happened when bull market started a few years ago. My prediction after this big dump, the market will sideaway for afew days / a week and then jump, and the trend will continue bullish. Not make sense to me, after 3 years in bearish season, the bull market only happening in afew month, my prediction the bullish market can be take longer for another 1 year.

No the situation is quite different from before. In the past, this drop would have been the beginning of a longer bear market. In the meantime, crypto has arrived in the financial world in such a way that large players who previously missed out on entering crypto have used the change to build up their first stakes. Therefore, this will not be the beginning of a bear market, but a healthy correction.

I am really surprised that so many things are not going well at XYM after the successful snapshot. Can anyone say when Binance will finally fully activate XYM (i.e. when deposits, withdrawals and trading will be possible)?
1420  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Binance Smart Chain eine Gefahr für Waves? on: May 20, 2021, 09:53:12 AM

Quote
Researchers have expressed concern about Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and its validator structure which makes it way more centralized than its rivals.
Quelle: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/binance-smart-chain-centralization-concerns-092000694.html
