1821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you expect the Altcoin rally? on: January 06, 2021, 06:02:59 PM
In 2018, the highest prices were in mid-January, and then we saw a strong drop in prices. I want to believe that history will not repeat itself and the price of the cryptocurrency will continue to grow after January.
Many experts write that the price of cryptocurrencies will fall by the summer, and in the fall we will have a new ATH update.

The situation is quite different to 2018 where the most price increase was due to ICO boom and manipulation utilizing USDT. The current bullrun is more driven by adoption and FOMO. I would not say it is more healthier than 2018 but I do not expect a price drop as three years ago. Nevertheless, I expect a correction anytime soon. That could be the time for Alts to catch up with Bitcoin again.
1822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: January 06, 2021, 05:58:46 PM

Most of the casual gamblers and addicted gamblers kept on going in and out of casinos or gambling sites and usually brag about their wins. Most of those people that actually win are those hiding their wins and strategies from the public. We mostly know those gamblers when they join professional tournaments we can usually watch online or live.

That is why I don't believe in people here who are selling their secrets or exploits on the gambling sites where they claimed they are winning up to 100 Bitcoin, if they are really winning they need not sell their secret and just keep the secret and go on winning until they are filthy rich it just don't make sense.

Absolutely, it is the same with the most Telegram groups where you have to pay to get access to "top secret" bets and where is promised that you can get rich very easily. If all those bets would work out as promised than the group owners would not need to sell their tips. I also saw cases where they posted old screenshots again and again where they had a lucky streak and which they use to promote their success story. If you ask for newer proofs you often get stats which are not better than any other tips you could get for free.
1823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you expect the Altcoin rally? on: January 05, 2021, 10:06:23 PM
I've been expecting it since Bitcoin reached the new ath at the end of 2020, to be more precise I hope the alt season will occur in November or December. But Bitcoin condition really continues to dominate the market and I still hope the alt season will still happen at the beginning of the year. Hopefully.

Well, the pattern I mentioned showed that the Altcoin rally usually starts one or two months after the Bitcoin price rose. So you assumption was a little bit too early if the pattern still holds. In some cases, however, it already shows that the pattern is still valid. Yesterday and today the Altcoin prices rose significantly more than the Bitcoin price. I am curious whether it will continue and whether the trend will continue, because I think that Bitcoin has reached its peak for the time being and will not mark any further all-time highs in the near future.

1825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: January 05, 2021, 07:59:02 PM
I've long since imposed the rule of keeping around 50% long-term and investing the other 50% for regular expenses. I've done quite well with this procedure so far. Now that the price has risen like this, I am considering putting 60-70% of the intake on the side. But this now depends on whether the Bitcoin price can stay at this level in the long term or whether it will decline again (what I expect).
1826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT TYPE OF CRYPTO INVESTOR ARE YOU? on: January 05, 2021, 07:39:45 PM
Hodler and short-term trader Cheesy I hold certain assets (including Bitcoin) for a long time. I still have Bitcoin from 2014, of which I occasionally sell smaller amounts, but generally hold it. Then there are projects that I think do not have a great future but are hyped in the short and medium term. I only keep this for a short time and take profits in Bitcoin with which I then invest for a long time. This strategy works very well.

1828  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: January 04, 2021, 11:39:21 PM
Is there actually any news or information on whether and when Sportsbet casino will be available again for users in Germany? As I originally understood, a solution should be found. It has been some time now.
1829  Economy / Economics / Re: New Year | New Resolutions - How you gonna manage your finances - 2021 ? on: January 04, 2021, 11:21:48 PM
Whats your plan?

Same as last year. Save and invest at least 1/3 of my income. In addition, no debt for consumption, only for investments that have a stable and fair value, for example an inexpensive property. The only thing I'm going to change is more emphasis on crypto investments. My crypo investments have been high in the past, but I want to invest more capital in it than in stocks and other "old" investments.
1830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: January 04, 2021, 10:34:54 PM
I wonder why Man City is always over priced in the CL winner outright market.  They're at 4.98 at FJ and prolly not far up or down at other books.

Solid spot is Bayern which the books have priced at 3.77.  The last few years, I think Bayern was never below 5 or 6.  Another solid spot could be Liverpool at 6.80...  The rest are kinda sketchy.

I ask myself the same thing. Must be the coach and the squad in general. Otherwise I can't explain it myself.

As I wrote earlier, I think this year a surprise is possible. Bayern is my favorite, but you never know which teams will be affected by Corona. Let one or two top favorite teams have several corona cases before important matches and it could be that a good outsider can march through. Leipzig, Atletico Madrid or Atalanta Bergamo are such outsiders for me who could make it.
1831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance.US is going to suspend XRP trading and deposit on: January 04, 2021, 10:26:12 PM
As expected, US base exchanges will start delisting XRP to avoid any conflict with the US SEC.  So it isn't a surprise to see Binance US delisting XRP.  I wonder how will the XRP market react to this.  Will this one drive the price of XRP even lower?
A lot of bad news is constantly coming to the XRP project, I think investors are leaving this project.
Only a few loyal investors remain with the project, but with the situation worsening, they do not know when they will leave.

A typical pattern can be seen again, as in similar cases in the past: First there is a massive sell-off. If sell-off persists, more and more investors leave the boat, especially if Bitcoin or other altcoins are performing well at the same time and they going to invest there. That increases the drop in prices. After a few months, when the situation has calmed down, the investors come back because they have made good profits with other investments and now see a good chance again in the massively fallen coin. It will be the same with XRP.
1832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 03, 2021, 07:22:04 PM
^^ I backed Mainz at over 25/1 to win, so you can imagine how cool it was to see them lead 0-2 at HT.

Then of course, the Bayern machine combines with the Mainz ineptitude in defence to hand Bayern a comprehensive 5-2 victory.

Ah well. At least I have a favourites parlay still in play. Now need Barca, Juve, Porto and Braga all to win to make my weekend whole again.

Damn you Mainz. Haha.

Crazy match! I set some live bets which all failed in the first half of the match Cheesy While in second half all bets were correct including that Bayern win the second half but I did not expect they'll win the match in this manner. They showed completely two faces.

1834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / When do you expect the Altcoin rally? on: January 03, 2021, 03:12:25 PM
Bitcoin price has grown massively in the last few weeks, while Altcoins have gained little or even lost in relation to Bitcoin. In the past, after a strong Bitcoin rally, sooner or later an Altcoin rally set in. Do you expect an Altcoin rally this time too? If so, when and if no, why not?
1835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance.US is going to suspend XRP trading and deposit on: January 03, 2021, 03:07:22 PM
I think more exchanges are starting to remove XRP due to cases from the SEC, and I heard that all cryptocurrencies that have a security platform will be removed from the list of major exchanges, so for those who have balances in altcoins like that I hope not to late securing his assets.

All American exchanges will definitely do this. The regulated exchanges anyway. And the international unregulated are currently still holding back, but they will not want to take the risk of getting into the focus of the SEC just because they are holding on to a single coin. XRP has become a problem for many exchanges.

War vor zwei Wochen in der gleichen Situation. Schau mal in diesen Thread hier;

Here's a question for the football experts from bitcointalk
where does the name schalke 04 come from ??  there is only one correct answer at the moment  Wink

Schalke : 0 games won and only 4 points = Schalke 04

Lol...Why did you give the answer straight away? There would certainly have been other interesting interpretations  Cheesy

There are more jokes which pop up everywhere, for example: What does a Schalke fan do when his team become champion? Turns off the PlayStation and go to bed  Tongue
1838  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: January 01, 2021, 07:15:45 PM
some people luck some not, that's what describes the current situation.
but of course new jobs will be opened because the pandemic is taking a very long time, the government will definitely provide solutions to reduce unemployment due to this outbreak.

I think the pandemic has only accentuated the problems that already existed.  the world of employers has been in crisis for years, the cuts to the welfare system have always been numerous and in strategic sectors (for which we are paying the consequences) ie Health and Education, while Research is done only by companies, with the sole purpose of  of profit.

Partly agree with you. The problems we now face were already there before the pandemic. Now the crisis brings them to the surface. And I think that this is just the beginning. The virus will be defeated one day but the economic aftermaths will stay for longer. All instruments to get out of a financial crisis have already been used in the last financial crises back in 2008/2009. This is what worry me more than the virus itself.

Thank you for another successful year in the campaign! I hope that Obyte will continue to support this campaign with Bytes in the coming year. We were able to achieve a lot, among other things the active participation in the Covid-19 project, which certainly contributed its part to the research of a vaccine which hopefully will soon improve all of our lifes. I would like to see many new members participating in the WordCommunityGrid in 2021 as well. Happy New Year!
1840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: December 31, 2020, 04:59:20 PM
As I wrote in previous posts, one of the main reasons in my opinion for the current underperformance of Liverpool is the interview with Mo Salah. It brought a lot of unrest to the team. The recent interview with Klopp also showed how strong the unrest is. One can only hope that Klopp will quickly eliminate these problems. Since the current almost first ten teams in the Premier League are only a few points apart, it can very quickly be that Liverpool lose a few places if there are two or three more below-average matches.
